Dozens more report blackouts at Mexico resorts, country says it will act on tainted alcohol

tequila shots
Four days before Abbey Conner was found floating face down in a pool at a Mexican resort, Mary Jo Kuhn waded over to a swim-up bar in the same complex.

On her second drink, she blacked out.

Four days after Conner was pulled from the water, Meghan Gordon and her boyfriend were sitting on stools at the same swim-up bar where Conner and her brother had been drinking tequila on a family vacation.

Throughout the afternoon, a friendly bartender served Gordon and her boyfriend a couple of mixed drinks, then two rounds of tequila shots.

Neither can remember what happened next - vomiting and being escorted away by hotel security.

US border agents make 16yo boy drink liquid meth until he dies

Cruz Velazquez, died within two hours of drinking the concentrated liquid meth
Disturbing surveillance footage was just released showing two border patrol agents make a teen drink liquid meth until his heart stopped and he died.

Disturbing government surveillance video, released this week, has sparked outrage from Congress and the public alike. The video shows two U.S. Border Patrol agents encourage a 16-year-old boy to drink liquid meth - until he died.

The video was obtained this week by ABC and it entirely contradicts the agents' statements claiming the boy drank the meth on his own.

The boy, 16-year-old Cruz Velazquez, died within two hours of drinking the concentrated liquid meth. However, the two officers, Valerie Baird and Adrian Perallon, who enticed him to drink it remain on the job today and never faced disciplinary action.

According to ABC, a former head of internal affairs at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, James Tomsheck, told ABC News the two officers violated agency protocols by allowing the young man to drink from the bottle, and that he was told at the time they would be punished.

"If they truly suspected there was a controlled substance in the bottle," Tomsheck said, "they should've conducted a field test."

Horrifying video shows cops beat innocent mentally ill man to death, cops charged

Zachary Bearheels
Two former police officers in Omaha, Nebraska, are facing charges for excessively tasering a mentally ill man, and then punching him until he died.

Two former police officers are now facing charges for their role in the horrific death of a mentally ill man after dashcam video shows them deploying a taser on him numerous times, and then punching him until he died.

The charges stem from a confrontation on June 5, in which Officers Makyla Mead and Jennifer Strudl were called to investigate a disturbance at a local gas station. Upon arrival, they approached Zachary Bearheels and initiated contact with him, quickly placing him in handcuffs.

The officers contacted his mother, who then prepared to put him on a bus back to his home in Oklahoma. While seated in the back of the police cruiser, around 1:30 a.m., Bearheels became restless and slipped out of the police cruiser through the door, which had been left open.

That is when two other officers who had arrived at the scene, Ryan McClarty and Scotty Payne, arguably treated Bearheels as more of a criminal suspect than a mentally ill man who wandered away from the safety of his home. It was reported Bearheels had been wandering the streets of Omaha for days.

A high-speed Las Vegas police chase ended in a shootout, with officers firing a hail of bullets and hitting a suspected car thief 19 times. The suspect's female companion was also struck, but it is unclear who shot her.

On July 24, officers Tyler Hebb, 55, and Brandon Foster, 22, were monitoring a stolen vehicle they suspected was involved in a non-fatal shooting the previous day when a man matching the shooter's description entered the vehicle with a female companion.

The officers requested backup from the Las Vegas police aerial unit and attempted to stop the vehicle to interview the suspect.

The man, later identified as William Alfredo Chafoya, 37, refused to comply and fled the scene, leading officers on a car chase before abandoning his vehicle in a North Vegas residential neighborhood.

LGBT brigades in Syria: Western anarcho-leftists get militarized, train with Western-backed Kurdish YPG

LGBT Brigades In Syria
The Western corporate press is now having a field day promoting the latest Western incarnation of destabilization in Syria - the new "anti-ISIS" LGBT brigades. No, this isn't a prank. According to a number of sources, LGBT brigades of fighters in Syria are now joining forces with Western-backed Kurdish fighters in order "fight back against ISIS" for the persecution of homosexuals under jihadist rule as well as attacks on communities outside of terrorist jurisdiction.

Still, while the Western media is hyping the new brigades as an example of empowerment and anti-terrorist heroism, there is much more to the story than meets the eye. In addition, it involves a number of different factions and Western intelligence activity both at home and abroad.

Who Are The LGBT Brigades?

According to corporate outlets like The Daily Beast, the LGBT brigades are made up of "international volunteers" branding itself as the Queer Insurrection and Liberation Army (TQILA). The group appears to be an offshoot from the International People's Guerrilla Forces (IRPGF), who announced the creation of TQILA. IRPGF itself is a member of the International Freedom Battalion, a group of foreign fighters who have traveled across the world to join Kurdish fighters, the YPG, in Syria. The goal of these groups is not so much to "defeat ISIS" but to aid in the creation of the bizarre anarcho-leftist state desired by the Kurdish fighters.

Comment: When will today's "Left" learn that in their ardent desire to fight imperialism, patriarchy, social injustice, etc. - they have unwittingly become a tool of the very forces they are seeking to topple?

Physicians for Human Rights' stance on the CIA's post-911 program of human experimentation and torture

Dr. James Mitchell
CIA contract psychologist Dr. James Mitchell (left) was part of team that designed and implemented the U.S. torture program.
This June, Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) published a report showing that the CIA's post-9/11 torture program constituted a regime of illegal human experimentation. Based on a review of thousands of declassified documents, the report shows that health professionals who designed and implemented the torture program committed a second and related crime: experimental research to investigate the effects of torture on detainees. This research explored the untested hypothesis that torture could psychologically "break" detainees and aid interrogation.

Senior Anti-Torture Fellow Sarah Dougherty was the lead author of PHR's latest report and explains how she came to these conclusions.

Protesters blocked the road in east London's Dalston district, attacking riot police with fireworks and Molotov cocktails, and setting makeshift barricades on fire in protest over the death of Rashan Charles following a police chase.

A group of youths in hoodies gathered around the shop where 20-year-old Charles was apprehended before being pronounced dead at a hospital shortly afterwards.

Demonstrators attempted to block Kingsland Road in the London Borough of Hackney, erecting barricades from trash, cones, and dustbins. As riot police arrived at the scene to disperse the crowd, they were targeted with fireworks, bottles, and Molotov cocktails.

Riot police, mounted police, and a police helicopter, which was seen hovering over the scene, were deployed to quell the unrest.

In a survey published by Der Spiegel, 83 percent of Germans over 18 disapprove of the US' planned expanded sanctions on Russia, with a mere six percent expressing approval.

The poll, carried out by the Forsa Institute market research firm, asked 1,002 Germans over the age of 18 the following question: "The US wants to expand the economic campaigns against Russia so that companies from Germany and other European countries will also face penalties on the American market when they participate in or finance natural gas projects with Russia. Do you think it is right or wrong for the US expanding sanctions in this way?"

The results of the survey, which was conducted from July 7 to 11, before the decision by Congress on Thursday to impose a new round of sanctions, also showed that 77 percent believe it was a self-interested move by the United States to strengthen its own economy.

Charlie Gard, the 11-month-old English baby born with an extremely rare genetic disease and whose parents battled doctors for the right to experimental treatment, died on Friday night, according to local media.

"Our beautiful little boy has gone, we are so proud of you Charlie," Connie Yates, Charlie's mother, said in a statement, as cited by The Guardian.

"Mummy and Daddy love you so much, Charlie, we always have and we always will, and we are so sorry that we couldn't save you," Chris Gard, Charlie's father added.

"We had the chance, but we weren't allowed to give you that chance. Sweet dreams baby. Sleep tight, our beautiful little boy."

Comment: A few more details on this very sad case come to us a few days ago, before Charlie's passing, from the UK's Metro:
After a five-month battle in the court to determine their son's treatment, Charlie's parents, Chris Gard and Connie Yates, ended their case.

Their barrister said: 'The parents' worst fears have been confirmed, it is now too late to treat Charlie.'

The couple reportedly believed that the therapy they were seeking could no longer help their son, and that any further attempts to prolong Charlie's life would only cause him pain.

However, the case might be over yet, as the couple's lawyers returned to the High Court today.

Why did Great Ormond Street not want Charlie to go to America?

Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) argued that Charlie's condition had progressed too far, and that no specialists could help him.

The famed children's hospital also said Professor Michio Hirano, the American doctor who gave Charlie's parents hope that he could help the baby, had financial ties to the treatment he was suggesting could help Charlie.
