Italian town of 7 inhabitants gets 26 asylum seekers - 80 more to come

Vaccarozzi di Erbezzo
The Italian town of Vaccarozzi di Erbezzo officially has only seven residents, but that's changing fast.

Already 26 African asylum seekers have arrived as part of a government resettlement programme. There are plans to resettle at least 80 migrants in the tiny town. Mayor Lucio Campedelli is worried about it:
"Sending 80 refugees here would turn this place upside down. They told us just before summer that they would arrive, but we can't do anything about it. I don't want to add fuel to the fire, but I hope they stop with these first 26 arrivals."
Locals already call the Northern Italian mountain town "refugee land". In early November the first 26 migrants arrived after setting foot on Italy's Southern shores. All of them Africans: from Nigeria, Ghana and Ivory Coast for example.

Liana, the barista of a local coffee bar says:
"Sending 80 here is madness. It would completely change our land. Even sending two here would be too many if we didn't ask for them."
The town's asylum seekers are living in a former NATO barracks, guarded by gates and turrets.

Comment: A perfect scenario for integration and assimilation, no?

Swedish journalist and Moderate Party say military needed to take care of gang problem in no-go zones

Sweden is in deep trouble. The country has a rape crisis, a shooting crisis and now there's a bombing crisis.

A lot has to do with the country's migration policy and political correctness. Sweden is avoiding its awful truth and certainly not fighting against it.

But now something even worse is happening: the police are losing control over the country because they're under attack and don't feel safe anymore. Earlier this year the police issued a cry for help and lost month an officer admitted fear has gripped the force.

On October the 18th, there was a bomb attack at the police station In Helsingborg and later a rain of bullets hit a police officer's family home. In November there was another serious attack on the police. A hand grenade was thrown at a police station in Uppsala on Monday.

But police officers have received a lot of threats as well. A police officer said she had her life threatened by a suspect who published her private information and photos of herself, her spouse, and her infant son on the internet. Nothing could be done to remedy the situation and she was forced to move.

Comment: There's no doubt that a lot of the increase in crime (especially rape) in Sweden is a direct result of their "refugee" policies. There's also the possibility that this is being exacerbated by a Gladio-type operation - how did these gangs get military grenades? That puts Sweden in a tough spot. If police can't handle it, who else to bring in but the military? Maybe Sweden wouldn't be in the position they're in if they'd seriously thought about the consequences of their "progressive" policies of the past decade or two.

Fake news: African migrants captured by Libyan slave traders were 'cooked like kebabs'

A former Nigerian government official has come forward to tell the story of how Libyan slave traders captured African migrants, and cooked them "like kebabs."

Former minister of culture for Nigeria Femi Fani-Kayode said many migrants from Africa traveled to the Mediterranean to improve their lives but ended up being enslaved instead, International Business Times reported Wednesday.

Three out of four people captured by these gangs hail from southern Nigeria, Fani-Kayode said. Nigeria has the largest Christian population in Africa, according to Pew Research Center.

Comment: According to Joanne Moriarty, "Libyan slave trade" story is fake news
The Great Tribes of Libya have confirmed to me personally that the slavery stories out of Libya are fake. The photos and videos are old and re-edited. I know this is true because I have some of the photos and videos in my files from 2011. Since the Zionists do not have Ghadafi to slander, they are now attempting to gin up hatred for Libya again - accusing the Libyans of doing what their own mercenaries did in 2011.

"The political and intellectual history of modernity," writes historian Robert Orsi, "is also always a religious history." However, as significant and diverse recent scholarship is now bringing to light, narratives around the political, intellectual, and religious history of modernity often serve not only to illuminate the past, but also to obscure it through the authorization of specific forms of experience and knowledge.

This symposium, entitled "Decolonizing Narratives, Denaturalizing Modernity," aims to highlight recent scholarship that complicates received notions around the history of modernity. While focusing on distinct temporal, geographical, and religious contexts, in their shared attempts to uncover histories hidden by the dominant discourses of modernity, the authors featured in this symposium uniformly challenge the naturalization of modernity's emergence and indicate that that the history of modernity has always been (and remains) fundamentally contested.

Linda Sarsour blames "Jewish media" for her anti-Semitic image - but she still does the apartheid state's bidding

linda sarsour

Palestinian activist Linda Sarsour accused members of the "Jewish media" for her bad reputation, in an event entitled "Anti-Semitism and the Struggle for Justice" Tuesday night at New York City's The New School.

"If what you're reading all day long, morning and night, in the Jewish media is that Linda Sarsour and Minister Farrakhan are the existential threats to the Jewish community, something really bad is gonna happen and we gonna miss the mark on it," Sarsour remarked in an event intended to be "a discussion on how to combat" bigotry against Jews.

It should be noted that Farrakhan once praised Adolf Hitler as "a very great man."

Sarsour also claimed that "the existential threat (to the Jewish community) resides in the White House, in the highest offices of these lands." She also claimed that Americans currently live "under fascism" and defended her participation in the boycott, divest, sanction movement, which seeks to economically sanction and isolate the Jewish state.

Comment: Sarsour is a degenerate tool, but not always for the reasons the "right" tends to criticize her (like her mild criticism of Israel or her support for BDS). She's a sharia-supporting, Saudi Arabia-defending, "moderate-rebel"-loving, regime-change-supporting fanatic:
The campaign against Sarsour essentially consists of three arguments: "she's an Arab", "she's a Muslim," and "she's denounced Israel, so she must hate all Jews." The campaign is a display of right-wing bigotry and stupidity, being driven by fanatical supporters of Israel in alliance with trembling xenophobes who obsessively fear Islam.

While Israel supporters are among those loudly denouncing her, Sarsour has been a good friend of Israel. She works to topple the Syrian Arab Republic, one of the principle supporters of the Palestinian resistance. Israeli newspaper Haaretz ran an entire article explaining how useful Sarsour had been to Pro-Israel anti-Trump activists. The article quotes one of the organizers of the January 21st Women's March saying: "We worked closely with Linda specifically on the messaging for this march. The concern we had had to do with Israel. She could not have been more open and reassuring that there would be no Israel bashing, and she kept her word...I didn't see one anti-Israel sign, not one BDS sign."

Sarsour has gone as far as to declare that she supports the existence of Israel as a state, and has even declared: "Jews are some of my biggest supporters." Yet, the crowds of Israel supporters denouncing her are so blinded by ethnic bigotry that they cannot comprehend this. To them, she is just a Muslim, a non-white woman in a head scarf, and their gut feelings of contempt for such people over-rule any rational conversation.

Left or Right? Bigotry or Empire?

The right-wing sees Linda Sarsour only as a Muslim Arab, and in an atmosphere stuffed with identity politics, the left sees her in the same way. To so many liberals, Sarsour is just a Muslim, non-white woman in a head-scarf. Her presence at events and rallies proves how "inclusive" the white middle class organizers are. Sarsour's pro-Saudi perspective is "just another point of view." They are happy to show how "tolerant" and "multi-cultural" they are by embracing her as they rally against Donald Trump.

It makes sense why Sarsour would oppose Donald Trump. During his campaign, he questioned Hillary Clinton's support for the Syrian rebels. He announced opposition to "toppling regimes." Trump even questioned the longstanding US-Saudi relationship. Sarsour, as a pro-Saudi, anti-Syrian fanatic, would certainly be threatened by Trump's unfulfilled campaign rhetoric.

US imperial puppet Richard McLaren threatens Russia with more sanctions for denying nonexistent state-sponsored doping allegations

Richard McLaren
© ReutersCanadian Lawyer Richard McLaren
The author of two reports on Russian doping, Canadian lawyer Richard McLaren, has said that Russia may face tougher sanctions if the country continues to deny the existence of a state-sponsored doping program.

Speaking at Tuesday's Play the Game conference in Eindhoven, Netherlands, McLaren said that the country's reluctance to admit the findings of his reports only aggravates the calamitous situation in which Russia has been placed. He had been authorized by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to investigate doping allegations against Russia.

"First of all, I would like to know if they have actually read the report," McLaren said, AFP reported. "The more you continue to express those kinds of statements of denial, the more you build the case for a stronger set of sanctions against yourself."

Comment: This is not about denial, it's about recognizing that the contents of the McLaren report do not at all prove anything, much less the existence of a so-called 'state-sponsored doping program' in Russia. McLaren is making a ton of threats, but he does not have facts behind him, just the fake news media.

His comments were made in response to statements by the Russian Investigative Committee, claiming that Grigory Rodchenkov, the former head of the Moscow Anti-Doping laboratory, had himself supplied athletes with drugs and orchestrated the tampering of test results.

IOC-banned Russian athletes ask Putin for help amid doping ban

Five Russian athletes suspended from international competition over doping allegations have turned to Russian President Vladimir Putin for help. They say they can turn to no one else.

Bobsledders Alexander Kasyanov, Aleksei Pushkarev and Ilvir Khuzin, as well as two skeleton athletes - 2014 Olympic champion Aleksandr Tretyakov and Sochi bronze medalist Elena Nikitina - pleaded for the president's intervention after being targeted in the ongoing doping row and barred from competing at international events. In an open letter, the five say they were "unfairly" denied a right to compete.

"This may be an emotional outburst and the wording may not be accurate, but we are shocked over what is being done to us," Kasyanov explained to TASS news agency. "We don't really know what else we can do."

Earlier this week, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia will do everything possible defend the interests of its athletes, reiterating that there has never been any state-run doping program in the country.

Informant meets informant? "Pro-ISIS", "neo-Nazi" U.S. cop accused of funding terrorism

For the first time ever, a US police officer has been charged with terrorism, with his trial date set for December. Nicholas Young stands accused of funding an FBI informer he believed to be a member Daesh with mobile messaging cards - but the real point of contention is whether Young is a neo-Nazi, a jihadi, or both, or neither.

Young, a 36-year-old Alexandria native who converted to Islam in 2006, has served as a DC Metro police officer for 13 years and has been under FBI surveillance since 2010. The FBI has repeatedly tried to turn him into an undercover informant after Young took two trips to Libya to fight against the government of Muammar Gaddafi during the 2011 Libyan Civil War.

After rebuffing a variety of informants, Young told the Washington Post, he became acquainted with a 20-something Syrian named Mohammad.

"They very cleverly created this character of a sympathetic figure," Young said of Mohammad. "When he was talking about going overseas, the reason was to fight [Syrian President Bashar al-] Assad.... It was totally humanitarian.... 'He's killing women and children, he's killing civilians, people are being buried alive.' And at no time did he show himself to be particularly religious."

Although Young would not directly comment on the allegations, he stands accused of sending Mohammad (who he believed to be a member of Daesh) $245 in mobile messaging cards as well as lying about it to the FBI.

While there's little doubt that Young sent the money, his attorneys argue that he was motivated by sympathy for Mohammad's "sob story," not support for Daesh or a desire to fund terrorism. The defense claims that Young referred to Daesh as a "gang of criminals" and there is no evidence of his support of terrorism outside of his contribution to his Syrian friend.

Comment: This guy is either a total moron, or something more sinister. There's probably only one type of person associated with such diametrically opposed groups as ISIS and neo-Nazis: FBI informants.

Art exhibit at a New York City college by Guantanamo terror suspects sparks outrage

An art exhibit at a New York City college seemed innocuous enough, mostly seascapes and still-life paintings of flowers and fruit.

But it's the background of the artists - current and former terror suspects at the notorious Guantanamo Bay detention center - that drew protest and prompted the Pentagon to bar the further release of works created at the military-run prison.

The exhibit, Ode to the Sea, has been on display since October at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. It shows 36 paintings and sculptures created by eight men during their years being held at the U.S. military facility for terrorism suspects in Cuba. The works were released to the men's attorneys after being vetted by the U.S. government to make sure they did not contain violent content or hidden messages.

But news coverage of the show, particularly the fact that some of the works were available for purchase, has spurred the Department of Defense to reconsider such releases and redefine who actually owns such works.

Man gets 45 years for beating, cutting off nipples of pregnant girlfriend

Tony Ledbetter
© Katie Nelson / Argus LeaderTony Ledbetter appears at the Lincoln County Courthouse in Canton on charges he assaulted his ex-girlfriend.
A man accused of using scissors to mutilate his ex-girlfriend's breasts was sentenced Tuesday to 45 years in prison, the maximum sentence possible.

Tony Deval Ledbetter, 46, was arrested in October 2016 when he called 911 after he assaulted the woman, who was pregnant with his child during the assault. He admitted the assault to police but said it was in self-defense.

The survivor gave a powerful, gruesomely detailed statement of what happened that night during Tuesday's court appearance in Lincoln County, and she shared how her injuries have affected her physically and emotionally.

"He told me he was a nice guy," she said. "Nice guys don't do this."

She addressed Ledbetter directly at one point, saying, "Do you feel like a man?"

He did not look up at her once during her statement.

Ledbetter also gave a statement of apology, and he once again admitted his guilt.

Comment: And yet people are shocked that groups like ISIS can mutilate their victims in such barbaric ways. You don't have to look very far to find some very sick people. Case in point: Woman, 26, chopped off boyfriend's penis with garden shears
