British supermarkets warned to stash food on rising fears of no-deal Brexit

As another round of talks between Britain and the EU seems to be ending in deadlock, UK ministers have reportedly warned retailers to start stockpiling food for fear of potential shortages in case of a no-deal Brexit.

The government has told supermarkets and suppliers of medicine, medical devices, and vaccines to stockpile six weeks' worth of goods at secure locations in the United Kingdom, according to the Sunday Times.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson will reportedly take control of planning if Britain opts for no deal, and will chair an exit operations committee to prepare the response.

The Health Ministry of the United Arab Emirates has registered an experimental coronavirus vaccine produced by China National Pharmaceutical Group (Sinopharm), after late-stage clinical trials showed it had 86 percent efficacy.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) said Wednesday the authorities had considered the application from Sinopharm, and the registration of the vaccine was a significant vote of confidence in its safety and efficacy.

MOHAP and Department of Health Abu Dhabi had reviewed Sinopharm's interim analysis of the phase-three trials, saying it shows Beijing Institute of Biological Products' inactivated vaccine has 86 percent efficacy against Covid-19 infection.

With a title like The Great Reset Conspiracy Smoothie, it appears Naomi Klein is trying too hard to recapture her prowess at defining a meme. Her buzz-concept, "Shock Doctrine," is spot-on and rightfully successful. But her "Screen New Deal" about Silicon Valley technocrats fizzled.

And now she puts forth "Conspiracy Smoothie," declaring the multitudinous "conspiracies" out there are just one big bizarro mashup, an "inchoate meta-scream." The word "smoothie" defeats her purpose, though, because smoothies are healthy, yet she wants to brand alternative thinkers as sinister and unhealthy. Ha! This feckless meme won't catch on with anybody.

To her credit, Klein offers a very good history and analysis of The Great Reset, as long as she stays within the precincts of critiquing Empire, such as:
...[T]he Great Reset is not a serious effort to actually solve the crises it describes. On the contrary, it is an attempt to create a plausible impression that the huge winners in this system are on the verge of voluntarily setting greed aside to get serious about solving the raging crises that are radically destabilizing our world.
But once she gets near taboo topics, Naomi goes batshit mainstream. Unlike alt "researchers" (her raised-eyebrow quotes), these subjects are "inchoate" for her because, like NIST who doesn't know there were explosives on 9/11, she hasn't gone looking. She even admits, "I've been doing my best to ignore it ["conspiracies"] for months."


Comment: As we have seen time and time again, someone can be quite right in their coverage on one topic, yet fail to apply the same critical thinking and investigative reporting on other topics, even to the point of doing a complete 180!

CNN White House correspondent April Ryan is laying down the law about how Joe Biden should be covered after leaked audio suggested the nominal president-elect isn't on board with the agenda that helped him win progressive votes.

Ryan suggested that someone must have had a nefarious reason to leak a recording of Biden's teleconference earlier this week with civil rights leaders, in which he complained that the "defund the police" movement had hurt Democrats with voters and warned that he wouldn't use executive orders to enact a slew of progressive policies.

"The question is, who taped this and why?" Ryan asked. "What is the agenda?" When Vice Media writer Edward Ongweso Jr. then jokingly tweeted on Friday that that it's "irresponsible" and a "dangerous precedent" for journalists to use secret recordings in their stories about the incoming administration and must instead go through "proper channels" to parse Biden's thoughts and plans, Ryan agreed, saying, "You hit the nail on the head. This is not good at all."

Kind soul: Florida man pays utility bills for 114 struggling families: 'I want to share what I have'

A man in Gulf Breeze, Florida, is getting into the Christmas spirit once again by paying overdue utility bills for 114 families.

"This year to me probably is more meaningful than last year with the pandemic and all the people out of work having to stay home," said 74-year-old Michael Esmond, the New York Post reported.

The pool installation company owner paid over $7,600 this year to help the families keep their lights on, according to the city's utility billing supervisor, Joanne Oliver.

"People can't afford to pay their bills and put food on the table, so I hope doing my part and paying some bills for these folks takes a little bit of stress off of them around Christmas time," Esmond explained.

In terms of the economy and the American social situation, 2020 is definitely one of the ugliest years on record, there's really no way around it. That said, I get the impression that many in the public are operating under the assumption that we are about to cross over the peak of the mountain and it will be all downhill from here on. Unfortunately, this is not the case.

All eyes have been focused on the pandemic event, and the thinking is that once the pandemic is "over", the crisis will be over and everything will go back to normal. But, as the globalists have been telling us since the outbreak began, the world "will never go back to normal again". It's not because of the pandemic, mind you, it's because THEY won't allow things to go back to normal. The "great reset", as the World Economic Forum calls it, is meant to go on for many years. And, the globalists intend that every aspect of our lives be changed into something almost unrecognizable.

A participant in a COVID-19 vaccine trial has been sued for $13.5 million for defamation.

The world's largest vaccine producer, Serum Institute of India, has sued a COVID-19 vaccine trial participant who alleged that the trial caused him "serious side effects".

In filing a INR 1 billion ($13.5 million) defamation case, the firm rejected the charges by the 40-year-old businessman, from the southern Indian city of Chennai, as "malicious". The firm has also said the man's illness had nothing to do with the vaccine trials.

"The volunteer is falsely laying the blame for his medical problems on the COVID vaccine trial," said a statement issued by the Serum Institute, the world's biggest vaccine manufacturer by the number of doses produced and sold globally.

The lawyers of the vaccine volunteer have called the defamation suit an "intimidation attempt."

The NYPD has unveiled a new dog-like robot it says it will use to fight crime and "save lives," but some netizens see the gadget as another step toward high-tech tyranny, reminiscent of dystopias from 'RoboCop' to 'Black Mirror'.

Dubbed the "Digidog," the New York City Police Department showed off its new K-9 automoton to local media earlier this week, boasting of its sophisticated artificial intelligence system and a series of cameras and sensors, which can be used to get a close-up, real-time look at dangerous situations before sending in flesh-and-blood officers.

"This dog is going to save lives, protect people, and protect officers and that's our goal," NYPD Technical Assistance Response Unit Inspector Frank Digiacomo told ABC7 New York.


Developed by robotics firm Boston Dynamics, the robodog weighs in at 70 pounds, can run at a max speed of over three miles per hour and can even scale flights of stairs with its metal appendages. While it can use an AI system to navigate complex environments, the device is mostly operated by remote-control, for now.

Despite the department's confidence in its new tool, many on the internet had misgivings about the technology, seeing disturbing parallels to fictional dystopias, in which automated police bots dispense on-the-spot justice by way of algorithm.

Pro-Trump groups rally in DC to call for election integrity

Several groups are planning on rallying in Washington on Saturday to call for election integrity amid concerns about fraud in the 2020 election.

Organizers with the "Stop the Steal" movement and "March for Trump" are holding events in the nation's capitol, along with other groups.

"We want election integrity. This is to protect our elections, and we want our president to know that we're out here standing with him, we support him in fighting for election integrity, and we stayed with him," Amy Kremer, a "March for Trump" organizer, told The Epoch Times last month.

The group and others held events in the District of Columbia shortly after the election. Crowd size estimates ranged from the low hundreds of thousands to 1.5 million.

Kremer said that, based off the interest she's seeing in the Dec. 12 event, it could be even bigger than last time.

On Monday we reported on the investigation by Attorney Matthew Deperno into the Antrim County Michigan Dominion Voting Machines. DePerno was able to quickly assemble a team of seven highly trained forensic IT experts to conduct the forensic examination.

On Sunday morning, the seven-people IT forensic team arrived; Mr. Bailey and his attorney Matt DePerno were given access to the county building and started gathering the forensic evidence.

After 8 hours, the collection was complete. With 16 CF cards (similar to SIM cards), 16 thumb drives, and forensic images of the Dominion voting machines in hand, the IT team was escorted to the local Antrim County Airport by two Antrim County Sheriff vehicles, where they boarded their jet plane with evidence in hand.

Mr. DePerno expected to have the results of the study sometime Tuesday. He didn't receive the result until later this week.

Comment: Its been an uphill battle to get the Dominion Voting machines' forensics in Michigan thus far:
[...] Patrick Colbeck, an election challenger in Wayne County appeared on Fox Business Thursday night to discuss the audit of the Dominion machines.

Colbeck told Lou Dobbs that a judge ruled in favor of crooked Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel to prohibit the disclosure of the forensic results.

The Detroit News reported on the fight for the forensic results:

A Northern Michigan judge granted Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson permission to intervene in a case questioning results in Antrim County and the security of tabulators used there on Nov. 3.

Judge Kevin Elsenheimer ruled Thursday that Attorney General Dana Nessel's office could intervene on behalf of Benson, who had argued she had supervisory control over the Antrim County clerk, had an interest in any audit discussions the case may raise and was party to the county's contract with Dominion Voting Systems.

The Secretary of State's office is concerned particularly with forensic imaging performed on Antrim County's 22 Dominion tabulators earlier this week by a Village of Central Lake resident and Allied Security Operations Group, said Assistant Attorney General Heather Meingast.

"We'd like to know more about what was obtained, what the intent is for the use of the images obtained," Meingast said, noting the disclosure of some elements of the tabulators could compromise their security in future elections.
