Change in tactics: Israel lists ISIL and al Nusra as terrorist groups

Israel has listed ISIL as a terror group. On Sunday Israeli lawmakers defined three groups, which were previously called "unlawful associations," as terrorist organizations.

Among them - Jabhat al Nusra, which is an al-Qaeda's affiliate fighting in Syria, Abdullah Azam Brigades operating in Lebanon in Syria and Islamic State.

The Israeli government said it had carried out several measures against these terrorist organizations and that wide-ranging legal steps would be taken against officials involved in those organizations.

Comment: With Russia now crushing the terrorists in Syria, Israel changes tactics and now has to defend itself from the terrorists it helped create along with the US, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

They are real? Moscow confirms Free Syrian Army envoys visited Russia

Moscow has confirmed that Free Syrian Army (FSA) envoys had visited Russia, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said Monday.

Answering a question on whether envoys of the Free Syrian Army visited Russia last week, Bogdanov said "yes, different people were here."

Earlier, Bogdanov said that Russia was ready to invite RSA representatives for talks in Moscow.

On Sunday, members of the Free Syrian Army sent a proposal to Russia on holding talks in Cairo on cooperation in the Syrian conflict settlement.

Comment: So apparently the Free Syrian Army exists and has made physical contact with Russia. Questions must be raised, however: who are these individuals? What connections if any do they have with militants on the ground in Syria? And what experience and skills do they have that would qualify them as a legitimate opposition to the Assad government?

Why can't the West accurately describe who the Free Syrian Army is?

Netanyahu's vision: 'We need to control all of the territory for the foreseeable future'

netanyahu
For the clearest distillation of Israeli political thinking there is no better place to start than at the top. Haaretz's Barak Ravid reports on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's message to a meeting of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday that although he doesn't want a binational state, "at this time we need to control all of the territory for the foreseeable future."

MKs who took part in the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee meeting — where the prime minister spoke — told Haaretz that Netanyahu turned to the politicians and said, hinting at the anniversary of Yitzhak Rabin's assassination: "These days, there is talk about what would happen if this or that person would have remained. It's irrelevant; there are movements here of religion and Islam that have nothing to do with us." Netanyahu then turned to opposition MKs and said: "You think there is a magic wand here, but I disagree. I'm asked if we will forever live by the sword — yes."
There you have it. Israel has every intention to control all of the territory from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea even with the acknowledgement that this means it will "forever live by the sword," meaning endless conflict and bloodshed.

Comment: Why are we not surprised? He must be feeling the heat as the world becomes more bolder in denouncing what Israel is doing to the Palestinians.

Former US psychological warfare officer: Our propaganda led to the abuse of Afghans

PressTV interview
© PressTV screenshot
Press TV has interviewed Scott Bennett, a former US army psychological warfare officer and counter-terrorism analyst in San Francisco, about the British Royal Military Police launching an investigation into allegations that British soldiers mistreated civilians during the war in the Afghanistan.

Following is a rough transcription of the interview.

Press TV: Do allegations like this come as a surprise to you and then something that actually did catch me off guard was the fact that this minister for the British Armed Forces Penny Mordaunt has called these investigations time-consuming and costly. So you have allegations of human rights abuses - something that can be potentially war crimes - and then okay, let's disregard that, it is time-consuming and it costs a lot of money.

Bennett: Well it should not be a surprise of course because you have these bureaucrats in uniform who protect their policy advisors and their higher-ups because they want to continue in their rank, they want to continue in their job and they are doing everything they can to cover it up.

What is important to keep in mind is all of these abuses and any damage that may have been done against Afghan civilians was caused by a lot of false information from the very beginning to American and British and other soldiers. The instructions that came from higher command was pure propaganda and that is the Afghans and the Taliban and Osama bin Laden who have waged war against Britain and the United States of America through the 9/11 attacks. And subsequent intelligence information has revealed that to be completely false, a complete propaganda ploy to engineer an American-led invasion of the Middle East with a neo-conservative agenda of replacing the entire regimes and the civilizations or structures of the Middle East with a neo-conservative goal of transplanting capitalism and democracy.

BBC outed as "dishonest and biased" by covering up Saudi Arabia's dirty dealings with al-Nusra Front

The BBC loves to boast about how "objective" and "neutral" it is. But a recent article, which it was forced to change, illustrates the lengths to which the British state-funded media outlet will go to protect one of the UK Government's closest allies, Saudi Arabia, which also happens to be one of its largest arms purchasers (just this morning, the Saudi Ambassador to the UK threatened in an Op-Ed that any further criticism of the Riyadh regime by Jeremy Corbyn could jeopardize the multi-layered UK/Saudi alliance).

Earlier this month, the BBC published an article describing the increase in weapons and money sent by Saudi Arabia and other Gulf regimes to anti-Assad fighters in Syria. All of that "reporting" was based on the claims of what the BBC called "a Saudi government official," who - because he works for a government closely allied with the UK - was granted anonymity by the BBC and then had his claims mindlessly and uncritically presented as fact (it is the rare exception when the BBC reports adversarially on the Saudis). This anonymous "Saudi official" wasn't whistleblowing or presenting information contrary to the interests of the regime; to the contrary, he was disseminating official information the regime wanted publicized. This was the key claim of the anonymous Saudi official (emphasis added):
The well-placed official, who asked not to be named, said supplies of modern, high-powered weaponry including guided anti-tank weapons would be increased to the Arab- and western-backed rebel groups fighting the forces of Syria's President Bashar al-Assad and his Russian, Iranian and Lebanese allies.

He said those groups being supplied did not include either Islamic State (IS) or al-Nusra Front, both of which are proscribed terrorist organisations. Instead, he said the weapons would go to three rebel alliances - Jaish al-Fatah (Army of Conquest), the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and the Southern Front.

Comment: Greenwald was doing well up until he bought into the Syrian American Medical Society's media hoax regarding reports of the Idlib field 'hospital' being bombed. This is the same organization that backed the 'evidence' of Assad gassing his own people, which has been thoroughly debunked even by British Intelligence. While Greenwald is busy investigating the BBC's dishonesty, he would do better to look into his own propaganda regarding Russia and Assad.

Breaking the Law

According to the Human Rights Watch (HRW), 59 civilians were killed, including 33 children, in an apparent Russian air strike in Syria. Except, this is the HMW talking here. So it is perfectly safe to flip reverse the claim, giving us: 59 civilians were killed, including 33 children, in a dream Ken Roth had one night after battering a bottle of Jack Daniels.

Russia/Syria: Possibly Unlawful Russian Air Strikes
(New York) - At least two air strikes in northern Homs on October 15, 2015, that local residents believed to be Russian, apparently violated the laws of war. The air strikes killed a total of 59 civilians, residents said, including 33 children and a commander of the local armed opposition group. Russia should investigate the attacks.
Well, first of all, New York doesn't have the greatest journalistic reputation in the world. In fact, that's where Mr Roth resides. How can one 'apparently' break the law? Who was it who dropped White Phosphorous on Fallujah, Agent Orange in Vietnam and Depleted Uranium in Libya? Oh that's right, America and NATO. As there are no interviews with the 'local residents', we'll just have to take the HRW's word for it (or not). 'Russia should investigate the attacks'? Okay, they have been investigated. They never happened. Now, about Vietnam, shall we investigate that?

Bad news NATO: Think tank reports no NATO members match Russian Air Force

The Russian Air Force in Syria left many Western military experts surprised, as they didn't expect that Russia had the capacity to carry out military operations with such efficiency, the Washington-based Brookings Institution said.

In the past, many experts called the Russian military weak, especially when it came to air and naval forces. But the Russian airstrikes in Syria have proved them wrong.

The assessments of the Russian military were inaccurate, as often Western analysts seek to discredit Russia's military capabilities. However, with its effective campaign in Syria, Moscow has once again proved these experts wrong, the Brookings Institution said.

Comment: From the West's reactions you'd be forgiven for thinking Russia came from another planet. So much for blind hubris and wishful thinking, NATO. Also see:

Divide & Conquer: The ways and means of international tyranny and global domination (Part II)

Comment: For Part I of this contemporary and historical overview see: Divide & Conquer: The ways and means of international tyranny and global domination

How can a people who have struggled long years under oppression throw off their oppressors and establish a free society? The problems are immense, but their solution lies in the education and enlightenment of the people and the emergence of a spirit that will serve as a foundation for independence and self-government. -- Thomas Jefferson
After utilizing the geopolitics lens to dissect how globalists have been fulfilling their New World Order tyranny through a pervasive divide and conquer strategy applied globally, this second installment examines how they're regularly using that same proven formula domestically to divide Americans socio-culturally in any number of fragmented ways. Ample evidence shows how the elite has used its oligarch-controlled mainstream media to spread lies and propaganda in order to shape public opinion through nonstop false flag incidents and nonstop feed of false narrative disinformation. For a very long time this divide and conquer MO on the domestic front has been among the feds' favorite tools of manipulation in their mighty arsenal to effectively polarize Americans into turning against themselves.

Why can't the West accurately describe who the Free Syrian Army is?

Image
© REUTERS/ Msallam Abd Albaset
High-ranking officials in the US and Europe often accuse Russia of targeting moderate opposition in its counterterrorism operation in Syria but no one has clearly explained who the Free Syrian Army is, where it is located or what it wants.

The FSA is as elusive as a proverbial black cat in a dark room... not only for outsiders and experts but for its own members as well. And here is why.

Russia is serious about preventing Islamic extremists from overrunning Syria and then spreading their reach beyond the Middle East. To that end Moscow is trying to recruit as many allies in its multinational efforts as possible, including regional and global stakeholders, both state and non-state groups.

Comment: So there we have it - Russia has called the West's bluff and another one of their lies is falling apart. The 'Free Syrian Army' is another puppet show put on by Western intelligence and Western media, used as cover for their multiple nefarious goals. Also see:

Russian intervention in Syria has changed the rules of the game

Image
© Russian Defense Ministry
While previously Western countries refused any dialogue with Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, now they have to take into account Russia's approach, Swedish defense analyst Stefan Ring wrote in his article.

He underscored that having launched the anti-ISIL military campaign in Syria Russia re-emerged as a major player in the international community. He added that the operation created the first possibility to hold talks on the Syrian settlement.

Russia has changed the game plan and, during potential talks, may demand that Assad stay in power, Ring wrote in his article for Svenska Dagbladet. Such a situation goes against the plans of the US and Europe, which have been demanding Assad's resignation.

Comment: The West does not want any sort of true, grassroots democracy to take hold in the world - that's why they spent the past decades installing puppet dictators across the globe, toppling popular leaders, and terrorizing country after country. With his overriding respect for national sovereignty, international law, and the will of the people, Putin has definitely changed the rules of the game.
