Trump argument bolstered: Killary received 800,000 votes from noncitizens, study finds

Hillary Clinton
© Associated PressHillary Clinton is estimated to have collected 81 percent of noncitizen votes, which may have helped her carry a state, a researcher says.
Hillary Clinton garnered more than 800,000 votes from noncitizens on Nov. 8, an approximation far short of President Trump's estimate of up to 5 million illegal voters but supportive of his charges of fraud.

Political scientist Jesse Richman of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, has worked with colleagues to produce groundbreaking research on noncitizen voting, and this week he posted a blog in response to Mr. Trump's assertion.

Based on national polling by a consortium of universities, a report by Mr. Richman said 6.4 percent of the estimated 20 million adult noncitizens in the U.S. voted in November. He extrapolated that that percentage would have added 834,381 net votes for Mrs. Clinton, who received about 2.8 million more votes than Mr. Trump.

Russian FM Lavrov says Geneva talks on Syrian crisis postponed to February end, slams UN's inactivity as unacceptable

Russia says the next of round peace negotiations, which were planned to be held between the Syrian government and opposition groups early in February, have been postponed to the end of next month.

"The date of February 8 has been put back until the end of next month," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told a meeting with Syrian opposition groups on Friday.

The upcoming negotiations, which are to be hosted by the United Nations, will follow two-day talks held between Syria's warring sides in Astana, Kazakhstan, earlier this week with the mediation of Iran, Russia and Turkey.

At the end of Astana talks on January 26, Iran, Russia and Turkey agreed on the establishment of a trilateral mechanism to support the ceasefire in Syria and monitor possible violations.

Comment: 'UN's inactivity is unacceptable': Lavrov speaks out on Syrian opposition talks
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has slammed the UN's "inactivity" regarding Syrian peace talks, and urged them not to postpone the reconciliation process further.

"We're convinced that the inactivity of our colleagues at the UN, who haven't conducted a single round of talks since last April, is unacceptable," Lavrov said during a meeting with the Syrian opposition in Moscow.

"We hope that the UN will not put off calling the next round of Syrian talks anymore. At the same time, we're sure that it's time to stop beating about the bush during these negotiations, and to focus on reviewing concrete issues in accordance with the agenda indicated in resolution 2254 - including work on the [Syrian] constitution," he added.

Lavrov went on to say that it would be "wrong" to compare the Iraqi constitution with the Syrian, because "in Iraq, it was about invaders who wrote the constitution and imposed it on the Iraqi people as an uncompromising text."

In the constitution, "an attempt to put together and find common ground in the approaches voiced by both representatives of the [Syrian] government and the opposition over the past few years - all the time we're in touch, aiming to find a solution to the Syrian crisis."

The Syrian opposition has confirmed receiving "Russia's suggestions regarding the Syrian constitution" from the Russian foreign minister, as cited by RIA Novosti.

Kiev lobby in the US is desperate to ensnare Trump

Biden and Poroshenko
It appears that the change of the United States' course in regards to Ukraine that many expected following Donald Trump's victory has begun.

Two pieces of news concerning this appeared on January 26th. The first: the American publication RealClearDefense analyzed the main problems gripping Ukraine in an article under the telling title "Ukraine's Problem is Ukraine." According to the Ukrainian publication Vesti which cited this article, Donald Trump is going to arrange an "audit" of the Ukrainian authorities by checking where Kiev has really allocated the funds received from the US under Barack Obama.

In short, Ukraine's main problems are named to be the following four:

1. the problematic organization of authorities caused by a large number of officials taking part in military strategy and procurement;
2. the absence of a unified strategic vision and budget accounting;
3. pro-Russian officials
4. overwhelming corruption

Trump doing what he said he would - Washington establishment shocked

Trump signing orders
In his first frantic week at the White House, Donald Trump is doing almost exactly what he promised to do during his campaign, stunning those who thought he'd adapt his style as president.

Trump has signed an executive order to begin building a wall on the Mexican border and doubled down on his promises to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement and repeal ObamaCare.

Actions to temporarily suspend visas for people coming to the United States from a number of Muslim nations are expected to come soon.

Trump hasn't stopped tweeting either, nor has he quit his habit of launching into new fights seemingly on a whim. Much of his first week in office has been dominated by his claims, without any evidence, that massive voter fraud cost him a popular vote victory to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

On Wednesday, he announced a "major investigation" into his unsubstantiated claims about voter fraud.

President Obama famously said that "elections have consequences" in explaining to Republicans why he was moving forward with a nearly $1 trillion stimulus plan and his signature healthcare bill. Now Trump is showing Washington and the world the truth of Obama's words.

During the campaign, Trump's critics dismissed his ambitious agenda as rhetoric that he'd back away from once in office.

If candidate Trump beat the odds and made it to the White House, they said, the Trump Show will surely grind to a halt once he's confronted with the realities of governing.

It hasn't turned out like that at all.

Anti-Russian sanctions 'under consideration' in Trump-Putin call - Warhawks attempting to block it

trump putin
Counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway said the United States' current sanctions on Russian will be "under consideration" when President Donald Trump speaks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday.

"All of that is under consideration, and certainly in addition to improving relations with different foreign leaders and their nations around the globe," Conway said during an interview with Fox News Friday morning.

A group of Senators, led by Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) are planning on proposing a bill to limit Trump's ability to lift Russian sanctions without congressional approval.

'We repeal sanctions, it tells Russia go ahead and interfere in our elections and do bad things, it tells China, it tells Iran," Schumer said Sunday. "That would be terrible. So this legislation I hope will get bipartisan support."

Comment: Translation: "We lift sanctions, it tells our enemies they can challenge our authoritah*, such as upholding the democratic rights of minorities to determine their own nationhood, as in Crimea."

'Stand up to Trump, but stand with him,' - British media's advice to Theresa May on meeting The Donald

Prime Minister Theresa May says she can forge a strong personal relationship with Donald Trump, arguing "sometimes, opposite attract," as she embarks on talks with the US president in Washington on Friday.

On the eve of the much-anticipated visit to the Oval Office, the PM used a speech to Republican leaders in Philadelphia to pledge that the two countries have a "joint responsibility" to lead.

May's meeting with the president is being hailed by the British government as a sign that the trans-Atlantic "special relationship" is valued by the new administration. She will become the first world leader to meet with Trump since he was sworn in.

However, the British media has its own stance on the meeting - with some saying the visit is "dangerous," and others claiming that it marks the beginning of a "new era."

Ron Paul warns Economic collapse imminent: Trump will get the blame instead of the FED

Ron Paul and End the FED graphic
If former Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) is correct, an Economic Doomsday is here. The second financial bubble is going to soon burst, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. That's because, as Paul stated, the Federal Reserve has set up the American economy for financial collapse for printing trillions of dollars back in 2008 and 2009.

"The Federal Reserve's policies of printing trillions of dollars back in '08-09 have locked into place a serious financial crisis at some point in our future," Paul stated. Going so far as to intimate the financial collapse will occur at least some time in the next two years Paul wrote, "It's unavoidable, and even Donald Trump can't stop it."

Paul said Trump will be the patsy for the supposed impending financial ruin. Just like everyone blamed Obama for the financial collapse in 2009, this time, "Trump will unfairly get the blame," the former Texas representative wrote. Paul bases his comments on reports he says he's read which concludes that within the next 18-24 months, the collapse will happen.

US allies Poland and Lithuania have both refused to allow Washington to base new secret prisons on their soil if US President Donald Trump resumes the CIA 'black sites' program, in which terrorist suspects were interrogated and allegedly tortured.

Asked whether Warsaw would consider hosting the controversial facilities, Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo replied there was "no proposal for that and no room" for discussion.

"My answer is no," she concluded.

Lithuanian Foreign Affairs Minister Linas Linkevicius also said that while the Baltic state was ready to cooperate with America on all strategic issues, human rights had to be safeguarded.

Rand Paul: No one really knows how many countries CIA is covertly destroying

CIA covert war syria
Syria isn't the only country under attack by the CIA

Rand Paul reminds Americans that they are not allowed to know how many covert wars the CIA is waging. In other words: the Agency is conducting multiple secret wars with basically zero transparency or oversight. Democracy in action!

Approximately how many countries are being actively ruined by the Central Intelligence Agency right now as we type these words? Unless you are one of eight members of Congress "in the know", it's basically impossible to ever find out.

This is because the United States is the world's greatest and most exceptional representative democratic republic.

We know that we don't know how many countries the CIA is destroying thanks to U.S. Senator Rand Paul, one of the few individuals in Congress who isn't a total butt muncher. During a recent interview with CNN, Paul dropped this painful truth bomb:
I think the CIA needs more oversight. Our intelligence community has very little oversight. There are only eight members of Congress that truly know what is going on in the CIA. That truly know what is going on as far as covert war around the world.

And I really think that war --unless there is an extraordinary exception-- should be fought with the approval of the Congress, and the approval of the American people. That is what our founding fathers thought. They took that power away from the president, and gave it to Congress. They specifically precluded the president from going to war without the approval of Congress.

President Trump says 'relations with Israel repaired, but too early to talk of moving embassy to Jerusalem'

US President Donald Trump says relations between the United States and Israel were repaired once he took office, noting, however, that it's too early to talk of moving the US embassy to Jerusalem or his reported freeze on money transfers to Palestinians.

"It's repaired. [Relations with Israel] got repaired as soon as I took the oath. We have a good relationship. Israel has been treated very badly," Trump said in an hour-long interview with Fox News on Thursday. When asked about his recent promises to relocate the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, however, he stated that it was too early to talk about the issue.

"I don't want to talk about it yet. It's too early," the president noted.

Comment: Trump seems clueless when it come to Israel. Like a lot of Trump's policies, we'll have to wait and see. What's interesting is that he says all the right things, from Israel's perspective. But all presidents do that, e.g., promising to move Israel's capital. Question is: will Trump actually move the U.S. embassy and promote Jerusalem to capital?
