Originally at Breakingnews.syThe Israeli military jets have once again violated the Syrian airspace.
This time they attacked the industrial suburban area of Hasia'a, located the countryside of Homs province. In response, Syrian air defense systems launched several anti-aircraft missiles.According to the field reports, the jets targeted a copper factory.
Comment: Syria AGAIN didn't react by invading Israel, as it is fully entitled to do. Instead,
it complained to the UN, which is mandated to do something about the world's worst rogue regime. Alas, the USA stands in the way of civilization.

French president stressed the need to maintain dialogue between countries, notably taking the example of Russia and Turkey:"We must talk to everyone and this is the method that I have adopted from day one [...] Because the destiny of Russia or Turkey will not be built by turning their back on Europe, since these two great nations are tied to Europe.
Since their history, their geography, their literature, their political consciousness were built by rubbing against Europe.

Moscow anticipates that Syria will be completely from ISIS within the next two months, Russian president's special envoy for Syria, Alexander Lavrentyev, said on Tuesday.
"The situation on the ground is developing rather swiftly. The fight against Islamic State [ISIS] is at the final stage," he said at a news conference in Astana.
"We all hope that at least in one or two months there will be no [ISIS] armed groups in Syria and there will be no settlements used by this terrorist group as its strongholds," he continued.
It's a mop-up operation at this point. The barrage of Russian cruise missiles launched at terrorist outposts in Syria from a submarine on Tuesday were follow-up today by targeted bombing from Russian strategic bombers against ISIS units in Deir ez-Zor province.
Russian long-range bombers destroy militant outposts, depots in Syria
RT, 1 Nov 2017
A group of six Russian strategic Tu-22M3 bombers has carried out an airstrike on militant positions in the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor, destroying munitions stockpiles and outposts, the country's defense ministry said.
The airstrikes were carried out on Wednesday in the vicinity of the city of Abu Kamal, which remains the last major Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) stronghold in southeastern Syria.
"Militant outposts, ammunition and weaponry stockpiles were the targets of the strikes. The objective control systems registered hits on all the designated targets," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The strategic Tu-22M3 bombers flew to Syria from Russia through the airspace of Iran and Iraq, the ministry stressed. Su-30SM fighter jets, scrambled from Russia's Khmeimim Airbase in western Syria, provided cover for the long-range aircraft. All the planes returned to base upon completing the mission. [...]
The major new airstrike came just a day after the Russian submarine Veliky Novgorod fired a barrage of Kalibr cruise missiles, striking targets in the same Abu Kemal area. A large group of militants was killed in the Tuesday strike, and several command points and major weapons stockpiles were destroyed, according to Russia's Defense Ministry.

Devin Nunes: shifting focus back where it belongs?
On Monday's broadcast of Fox News Channel's
The Ingraham Angle, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, called on the Department of Justice to "do its job" regarding leaks from major U.S. intelligence services.
Host Laura Ingraham asked Nunes to clear up whether or not he had recused himself from his committee's investigation into matters regarding Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
Previously, Nunes has said he hadn't recused himself from Russia investigation, but just from leading it.

Diminutive and pathetic Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, feeling powerless and impotent in his own life, decided that running people over in NYC would make him feel better or achieve something. He was wrong on both counts
Suspected New York City attacker Sayfullo Saipov came to the US in 2010 on a diversity lottery visa and was interviewed in 2015 by agents of the Department of Homeland Security about possible ties to terrorists.
The agents "did not have enough evidence to open a case on him," law enforcement officials told
ABC News.
Saipov, 29, was listed as
a "point of contact" for two different men whose names were entered into the Counterrorism and Criminal Exploitation Unit's list after they came to the US from "threat countries." One of the two men has vanished and is actively being sought by federal agents as a "suspected terrorist."
Comment: Interesting information, but not really useful one way or the other without more data. DHS and FBI have probably interviewed or otherwise encountered or surveilled practically anyone who could possibly be a jihadist in the Muslim community. That would be true whether or not they had a "closer relationship" with Saipov.
NYPD deputy commissioner for intelligence and counterterrorism John Miller
claims that Saipov has been planning the attack "for a number of weeks." Governor Cuomo says he was "radicalized domestically": "The evidence shows-and again, it's only several hours, and the investigation is ongoing-but that after he came to the United States is when he started to become informed about ISIS and radical Islamic tactics," he said on Wednesday morning.
The
Istanbul shooter from early this year was also from Uzbekistan.
Apparently Central Asians in general are "more susceptible to the ideas of radical Islamic groups once away from their homelands", according to Open Democracy. Many go to Russia. Uzbekistan in particular cracks down on radical Islamic groups and ideas.
As
The Free Thought Project points out, isn't it a little odd that within one day we have: photos and video of the attack, all Saipov's travel history, residence info, etc. Yet when it comes to Stephen Paddock and the Las Vegas massacre, the only similar information was not released officially, but through leaks to media up to a week after the event. And we have yet to see
any footage of Paddock in the time leading up to the shooting.

The 'War on Terror' has cost US taxpayers at least $1.46 trillion since September 11, 2001, the Department of Defense's cost of war report has revealed.
The 74-page DoD
dossier was obtained by the Federation of American Scientists' Secrecy News. It breaks down the cost of the US's various conflicts and reveals the ongoing war in Afghanistan and the war in Iraq account for the greatest chunk of change.
Operation
Enduring Freedom (the name given to the 'War on Terror' between 2001 and 2014), Operation
Iraqi Freedom (Iraq War) and Operation
New Dawn (past operations in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2010 and 2011) made up the biggest expense.
They cost a combined $1.315 trillion.
Comment: $1.46 trillion is an impossible figure to imagine. Tell us, what has dumping this grossly obscene amount of money into the US war-machine brought the world?!

The Royal Navy is increasingly relying on "cannibalizing" vessel parts in order to keep the fleet afloat, a report by a UK government watchdog has found.
The National Audit Office (NAO) has reported a massive jump in Royal Navy ships and submarines "cannibalizing" parts in order to go to sea and the practice has increased by 49 percent over the past five years. It also found that the construction of the submarine HMS Artful had been delayed because parts had been "borrowed."
The Royal Navy has been
massively reduced from its heyday in the 1940s and the current fleet has only
19 frigates and destroyers and seven attack submarines.

The decision comes after Twitter announced that it had decided to off-board advertising from all accounts owned by RT and Sputnik news agency due to an investigation into their alleged meddling in the 2016 US presidential election, a claim repeatedly denied by Moscow.
Facebook and Google have not determined any abuses of their accounts by the Russia's RT broadcaster's advertisements, the General Counsels of the two companies said during a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on Wednesday.
"
We have reviewed the RT accounts. As you know, RT advertises extensively in newspapers, magazines, airports across the United States. We have not found violations of our accounts," according to Google Senior Vice President and General Counsel Kent Walker. "But we are focused on making sure that there is enhanced transparency with regard to government-funded broadcasting of all kind whether it is RT or Al-Jazeera or other sources."
"The same is true for Facebook, Senator," Facebook General Counsel Colin Stretch has stated.
Comment: We'd like to be able to tell everyone that this obvious hysteria is going to be exposed as such and end very quickly. Sadly, we strongly suspect that it will get worse, because it appears to be a last, desperate attempt by the 'Deep State' in USA to 'do something' about the rising global influence of Russia and, at the very least, inoculate the minds of the American people against any further truth 'infection' via Russian media outlets. The effort will, of course, fail, but that won't stop the 'crazies' from trying.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has visited the Iranian capital, Tehran, attending a trilateral summit with the leaders of Iran and Azerbaijan. Commenting on a number of joint projects between the nations, Putin especially stressed the importance of cooperation to provide security in the Middle East."Thanks to our joint efforts, and also with the participation of Turkey, the situation in Syria has been developing positively," Putin said at a press conference in Tehran on Wednesday.
Comment: The presidents of Iran, Russia, and Azerbaijan
have called on all parties to the 2015 international nuclear agreement between Tehran and world powers to adhere to their commitments.
Hassan Rohani, Vladimir Putin, and llham Aliyev made the call in a joint statement released on November 1 after their trilateral meeting in Tehran.
Russia is one of the signatories to the landmark nuclear accord under which Tehran agreed to curb its atomic program in exchange for sanctions relief.
Russia is ready to deliver natural gas to Northern Iran via the pipeline system of Azerbaijan, President Vladimir Putin
said on Wednesday after Russian-Azerbaijani-Iranian talks.
"I would like to note that despite huge production of hydrocarbons in each of our countries, there is an interest surprisingly to supply this feedstock to each other, taking internal logistics into consideration," the Russian president said.
"For example, we confirm our readiness to supply gas via pipeline transport systems of Azerbaijan to the north of Iran, which can be economically feasible for our partners," Putin noted.
Security issues, the fight against terrorism and economic cooperation
were discussed at the trilateral summit of Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan in Tehran, Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters.
"We have discussed important issues concerning stability, the fight against crime and terrorism, but of course, economic matters topped the agenda," he said. As an example, Putin mentioned the North-South Transport Corridor, which "has already been tested, since last year, the first deliveries began from India to Iran, Russia and further on." "This route has proved its economic feasibility and effectiveness," Putin stressed.
He was hopeful that the summit "was not in vain." "We have actually discussed very important trilateral issues," he added. According to the Russian president, "if we work in an open and benevolent way and, seeking a positive result, then our work will do good to our countries and our people."
Russia is engaged in fruitful cooperation with Iran
seeking a solution to the Syria crisis that not a single country can solve unilaterally, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday after the talks with counterparts of Iran and Azerbaijan, Hassan Rouhani and Ilham Aliyev.
"There are loads of questions and problems" in this sphere, he added. "None of them is possible to be solved unilaterally. None of the countries is capable of solving this problem unilaterally."
Comment: Syria AGAIN didn't react by invading Israel, as it is fully entitled to do. Instead, it complained to the UN, which is mandated to do something about the world's worst rogue regime. Alas, the USA stands in the way of civilization.
