Tim Kaine lies to the public over 'Russian dossier' funding

tim kaine
Sen. Tim Kaine got his facts wrong Tuesday while discussing on CNN who funded the Russian dossier.

The Virginia Democrat accused the Washington Free Beacon of funding the Russian dossier, but the conservative news outlet stopped paying the firm before they started working on the dossier.

It was the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign that funded Fusion GPS for opposition research that led to the Russian dossier-a fact Kaine tried to bury by wrongly blaming the Free Beacon.

How the U.S. spreads global chaos

Air Force F-105s

As the recent PBS documentary on the American War in Vietnam acknowledged, few American officials ever believed that the United States could win the war, neither those advising Johnson as he committed hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops, nor those advising Nixon as he escalated a brutal aerial bombardment that had already killed millions of people.

As conversations tape-recorded in the White House reveal, and as other writers have documented, the reasons for wading into the Big Muddy, as Pete Seeger satirized it, and then pushing on regardless, all came down to "credibility": the domestic political credibility of the politicians involved and America's international credibility as a military power.

Once the CIA went to work in Vietnam to undermine the 1954 Geneva Accords and the planned reunification of North and South through a free and fair election in 1956, the die was cast. The CIA's support for the repressive Diem regime and its successors ensured an ever-escalating war, as the South rose in rebellion, supported by the North. No U.S. president could extricate the U.S. from Vietnam without exposing the limits of what U.S. military force could achieve, betraying widely held national myths and the powerful interests that sustained and profited from them.

Washington D.C. overrun with slimy unaccountable parasites

In theory, Americans should be proud of their national capital and all the important work that gets done there. In theory.

In reality, our nation's capital is an utter cesspool of self-serving, unethical and unaccountable parasites. We all know it and, even worse, it's probably a hundred times more grotesque than we can imagine. A distressingly high number of people attracted to this swamp don't go there to do good public work or help the American people. They go in order to enrich themselves at our expense.

A particularly degenerate strain of D.C. cretin is the lobbyist. These people swarm into Washington to influence the purse-strings of the U.S. government and funnel as much American treasure as possible in the direction of their clients, including Wall Street oligarchs, defense contractors and barbaric foreign monarchies like Saudi Arabia. We're told that Washington D.C. exists specifically to protect and benefit the American public, yet the average citizen is the one constituency which has virtually no actual representation there. Helping the vulnerable doesn't pay very well.

Over the past couple of days, I've be reading political stories describing the "beltway buzz" in the aftermath of the Paul Manafort and Rick Gates indictments. I've found these articles quite instructive. The common theme is that hordes of the shady crooks who operate in D.C., and add absolutely zero value to society, are panicking that their gravy train of legalized corruption may be coming to an end.

Comment: Washington D.C. is so overrun with those of the psychopathic mindset that it truly is a cesspool of the worst types imaginable. It attracts those who will step on anyone or anything to get their way. Unfortunately it's the public the suffers and they won't stop until they've completely run the country into the ground. And if one comes there with the hopes of doing anything to truly help the public, think again. It's basically "Play the game - or else". Not even the President of the United States is exempt.

John McCain keeps quiet about his involvement with hoax dossier on Trump by Fusion GPS

Sen. John McCain has still not responded to questions raised in light of the disclosure last Tuesday that the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) helped fund research utilized in the infamous, largely discredited 35-page dossier on President Donald Trump.

In December, it was McCain who notoriously passed the controversial dossier produced by the Washington firm Fusion GPS to then FBI Director James Comey, whose agency reportedly utilized the dossier as a partial basis for its probe into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

McCain's office did not respond to repeated Breitbart News phone and email requests over the course of last week and this week seeking comment on whether the Arizona senator was aware that the material he passed to the FBI was paid for by the DNC and Clinton's campaign.

McCain's office also did not respond to requests for information on how he first obtained the dossier, which is filled with discredited charges.

A spokesperson for McCain confirmed by telephone that the Breitbart News requests were received.

The Washington Post last Tuesday reported that in April 2016, attorney Marc E. Elias and his law firm, Perkins Coie, retained Fusion GPS to conduct the questionable research on behalf of both the Clinton campaign and the DNC. Through Perkins Coie, Clinton's campaign and the DNC continued to fund Fusion GPS until October 2016, days before Election Day, the Post reported.

Fmr chair of the Democratic National Committee Donna Brazile dishes the dirt: 'Clinton indeed stole the Democratic nomination from Bernie'

Comment: The following is an except from a 'tell-all' book by the former interim chair of the Democratic National Committee, Donna Brazile. While it's obviously incomplete (if she was really telling all, she would end up on the Clintons' black bag list), and is obviously constructed so as to cover her own backside, she confirms the original premise that got the whole 'Russia stole the election for Trump' train going: Hillary stole the Democratic nomination from Bernie.

clinton DNC
'We came, we saw, we stole. Mwahahahaha!'
When I was asked to run the Democratic Party after the Russians hacked our emails, I stumbled onto a shocking truth about the Clinton campaign.

Before I called Bernie Sanders, I lit a candle in my living room and put on some gospel music. I wanted to center myself for what I knew would be an emotional phone call.

I had promised Bernie when I took the helm of the Democratic National Committee after the convention that I would get to the bottom of whether Hillary Clinton's team had rigged the nomination process, as a cache of emails stolen by Russian hackers and posted online had suggested. I'd had my suspicions from the moment I walked in the door of the DNC a month or so earlier, based on the leaked emails. But who knew if some of them might have been forged? I needed to have solid proof, and so did Bernie.

So I followed the money. My predecessor, Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, had not been the most active chair in fundraising at a time when President Barack Obama's neglect had left the party in significant debt. As Hillary's campaign gained momentum, she resolved the party's debt and put it on a starvation diet. It had become dependent on her campaign for survival, for which she expected to wield control of its operations.

Insolent brat: Nikki Haley tells UN to take a hike after General Assembly votes to end Cuba embargo

nikki haley
Ambassador Nikki Haley blasted the United Nations Wednesday in a defiant speech to the 193-member General Assembly before it adopted a resolution calling for an end to the U.S. economic embargo on Cuba.

Haley called the long-standing debate "political theater."

"Let's be honest about what we really see going on here," Haley said. "This assembly does not have the power to end the U.S. embargo. It is based in U.S. law, which only the United States Congress can change."

The United States voted Wednesday against the U.N. resolution condemning the American trade embargo against Cuba after abstaining last year, during the administration of Barack Obama, for the first time in 25 years.

Comment: They chose him to rein in the warmongering, not ramp it up.

Obama launches his own 'foundation' at major Chicago liberal love-in

The inaugural summit of the newly-launched Obama Foundation offered an escape from reality for some Democrats.

They're a long way from the White House.

But here in the halls of the Marriott Marquis, covered in Barack Obama's old logo of a rising sun for the inaugural summit of his namesake foundation, Democrats were upbeat. Organizing matters! they gushed. Internationalism was cool.

There was a morning meditation and yoga session, and an evening community concert with Chance the Rapper and The National. And in between breakout sessions with titles like "The Adventure of Civility" and "Who Narrates the World?," people took pastel-colored chalk and filled out a blackboard customized with "I hope _______." (Samples: "we speak better and listen," "Americans will see each other," "my nephews can escape toxic masculinity").

"Therapeutic," said one attendee. "The sanity bubble," said another. An alternate reality, all the attendees at the kickoff of Obama's new foundation acknowledged, some with nervous snickers, some with big, relieved belly laughs.

Comment: We do; just continue being yourselves, and you'll continue turning the masses onto politics and away from the liberal nightmare bubble reality you display for everyone to see.

As to what Obama's foundation is for; that's simple - it's for taking large bribes to influence-peddle in Washington.

What else could it be for?

Keeping the homeland secure: Feds fake sex trafficking busts

DHS Logo
As America debates how to handle terrorist attacks like the one in New York City yesterday, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the FBI are busy helping small-town police arrest people for prostitution and marijuana.

In Louisiana this week, the FBI helped arrest - and publicly ridicule - 57 men who responded to fake (adult) prostitution ads. Meanwhile in North Carolina, DHS has pitched in to help round-up people with small amounts of marijuana or cocaine on them.

Local media described the DHS efforts as a "human trafficking case." But the only offenses any suspects were arrested for were drug possession, driving with a revoked license, and parole violations-all state-level offenses, and mostly misdemeanors.

The DNC money behind Russiagate

money black hole
The two sources that originated the allegations claiming that Russia meddled in the 2016 election - without providing convincing evidence - were both paid for by the Democratic National Committee, and in one instance also by the Clinton campaign: the Steele dossier and the CrowdStrike analysis of the DNC servers. Think about that for a minute.

We have long known that the DNC did not allow the FBI to examine its computer server for clues about who may have hacked it - or even if it was hacked - and instead turned to CrowdStrike, a private company co-founded by a virulently anti-Putin Russian. Within a day, CrowdStrike blamed Russia on dubious evidence.

And, it has now been disclosed that the Clinton campaign and the DNC paid for opposition research memos written by former British MI6 intelligence agent Christopher Steele using hearsay accusations from anonymous Russian sources to claim that the Russian government was blackmailing and bribing Donald Trump in a scheme that presupposed that Russian President Vladimir Putin foresaw Trump's presidency years ago when no one else did.

CIA docs on Bin Laden: Why were they released (and how Osama learned to see the West with disdain)

Osama bin Laden
© GettyOsama bin Laden was allegedly killed in 2011 during a secret operation by US forces

CIA released journal as part of 470,000 documents collected from Bin Laden's house, showing he visited the UK as a teenager and found it to be 'decadent'

A summer trip to the UK as a teenager and visits to Shakespeare's birthplace convinced Osama bin Laden that the west was "decadent", the late leader of al-Qaida and architect of the 9/11 attacks wrote in his personal journal shortly before he was killed by US special forces in 2011.

The journal is among 470,000 documents collected from the house where Bin Laden died that were released by the CIA on Wednesday. The agency said it had released the treasure trove "in the interest of transparency and to enhance public understanding of al-Qaida and [bin Laden]."

Comment: If the CIA says they are being transparent it must be true! It's not like their job is to manipulate public opinion so they can continue with their covert and largely illegal operations around the world, is it?

Comment:
It is not known if the offer was accepted - if it was made at all - and the inclusion of the document will raise suspicion that one motive for the release of the new hoard was to place material that casts Iran in a bad light in the public domain.

Mike Pompeo, the Trump-appointed director of the CIA, has a reputation for an aggressively hawkish stance on Iran.
Indeed, this may be the whole point of the "transparent" release of the 470,000 documents: To tarnish Iran with the Al Qaeda brush. If they do that, we only need to remind the CIA that currently Hezbollah and Iran are fighting against Al Nusra (aka Al Qaeda in Syria) and other terrorist groups in Syria - which is exactly the opposite to what the CIA itself and its allies are doing!

Yet the Guardian article spins around the rather trivial point of teenager Bin Laden's opinions on Western culture.
