Why the Ukraine regime doesn't want to accept dead soldiers and wounded POWs

Ukraine has disrupted prisoner exchange and handover of 6,000 Ukrainian fallen soldiers' bodies. What's the reason?

Total Disregard for Human Life

"Kiev's disregard for their own fighters has been evident throughout the special military operation," Russian military analyst Viktor Litovkin tells Sputnik.

"They don't retrieve the dead from the battlefield. They don't evacuate the wounded."

Total Lack of Negotiating Capacity

It also shows Ukraine's complete inability to negotiate, according to the pundit.

"It wants to show that it doesn't care about any agreements. You simply can't make deals with them."

The "Chinese Triangle" to transform the world with ASEAN-10 and the six Arab oil monarchies

summit folk
Triparte summit participants in Kuala Lumpur
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held their first joint summit. This is one step closer to forming a continental Asian bloc, which is expected to include China. It is one step less toward the United States, which created ASEAN during the Cold War and is now struggling with its immense debt.

On May 27-28, in Kuala Lumpur (capital of Malaysia, a high-tech Islamic country), a crucial tripartite summit was held between China, the ASEAN-10 (asean.org/) - the Southeast Asian bloc with the fastest regional growth in the world - and, spectacularly, the six Persian Gulf Arab petromonarchies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) - Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates - the same petromonarchies with which Trump just met in Riyadh in search of the 21st century's golden fleece. Yet this summit was completely ignored in the West ( Whatever that means ), the ideological bloc that also includes Latin America, with a few exceptions.

Notably, the Global Times, the unofficial mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party, commented that the tripartite summit represents a milestone of the highest importance that marks the transition from concept to reality in cooperation between the parties, an emerging moment in terms of Global South solidarity and the broadening of the horizon for "trans-regional cooperation and inter-civilizational integration [ 1 ] ."

Ukraine's most reckless attack: Was NATO behind it?

The logistics, timing, and technology behind the attack raise bigger questions about who was really involved.

While Western headlines celebrated Operation Spider's Web as a daring feat of Ukrainian ingenuity, a closer look reveals something far more calculated - and far less Ukrainian. This wasn't just a strike on Russian airfields. It was a test - one that blended high-tech sabotage, covert infiltration, and satellite-guided timing with the kind of precision that only the world's most advanced intelligence networks can deliver. And it begs the question: who was really pulling the strings?

Let's be honest. Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence didn't act alone. It couldn't have.

Even if no Western agency was directly involved in the operation itself, the broader picture is clear: Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence, its military, and even its top political leadership rely heavily on Western intelligence feeds. Ukraine is deeply embedded within NATO's intelligence-sharing architecture. The idea of a self-contained Ukrainian intel ecosystem is largely a thing of the past. These days, Kiev draws primarily on NATO-provided data, supplementing it with its own domestic sources where it can.

The PayPal Mafia

Some may have heard of the tech geniuses who compose "The PayPal Mafia." The mainstream media glamorizes them as "tech visionaries," a band of rebellious geniuses who disrupted finance and went on to build empires. Yet, beneath the surface of the so-called PayPal Mafia is not innovation for the public good, but the construction of a new form of oligarchy — one more dangerous than the robber barons of the 19th century. Why? Because this new class of elites doesn't merely build companies. These men influence monetary systems, shape global narratives, and fund policy engineering through unelected channels.

PayPal emerged in the late 1990s during the dot-com bubble, which I had warned would crash by 2000. PayPal became a clever workaround to bypass the traditional banking system, cloaked under the premise of convenience. This so-called "mafia" includes Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, Reid Hoffman, Max Levchin, David Sacks, Scott Banister, Roelof Botha, Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, Jawed Karim, Premal Shah, Yu Pan, and Yishan Wong, among others who had roots in PayPal. Each went on to build their own tech empire spanning across biotech, social media, space, venture capitalism, and surveillance.

Fortune Magazine ran an article about these men in 2007, and even asked them to dress up as traditional mafia gangsters. These men are the new tech elite who wield immense power and influence. Elon Musk's deep ties to Donald Trump shone a new light on how deeply the so-called PayPal Mafia has become embedded in politics and geopolitical affairs.

I reported how Peter Thiel provided J.D. Vance a platform to enter politics. Thiel introduced Vance to Silicon Valley and welcomed him into the scene of the tech elite. Theil's Palantir was recently awarded a massive contract to create the first US federal centralized government database that will house every piece of data on every American citizen. Again, this is happening under the premise of convenience.

We're breaking it all down: the Musk-Trump feud, the Ukraine death-count no one wants to talk about, and what the hell is going on in California.

Is the Grand Pact for the Middle East close?

flags

The "grand pact" for the Middle East will certainly mean a major shift in some international power dynamics.

Nothing moves without something else moving

An old sage once told me, several years ago, "In the Middle East, nothing moves without something else moving". He meant that everything that happens in the Middle East is the result of decisions made elsewhere, while the Middle East influences everything else. If there is war in Palestine today or tomorrow, for example, it is not decided by the Palestinians; if someone threatens Iran or wants to destroy Syria, it is not decided by the local people. There is always someone else somewhere trying to pull the strings.

I cannot say whether that wise old man was right or not, but there is certainly some truth in his words. For almost a century, events in the Middle East have been the result of encounters and clashes between regional powers, with substantial involvement from actors who are very distant but very influential.

A reliable and high-ranking source has told me that in recent days, an agreement has been reached between Iran and the U.S., with the mediation of the United Arab Emirates, in the long negotiations that began in recent months, which are the result of years of turbulent relations. Well, Iran would be allowed to implement the development of nuclear power for civilian use in exchange for renouncing its nuclear programme for military use. In return, Iran would have secured the imprisonment of Bibi Netanyahu in about 7-8 months, with a major international impact.

If this were the case, it would be a very significant geopolitical agreement.

Comment: To the spoils come the victors.

Iranian TV alleges massive spy operation targeting Israeli nuclear sites

Iran's state broadcaster, IRIB, has reported what it describes as one of the "largest intelligence operations" in history against Israel, claiming Iranian intelligence obtained a vast cache of "sensitive documents" -- including thousands allegedly related to Israeli nuclear projects and facilities -- from inside Israeli territory.

IRIB's rolling news channel, IRINN, interrupted regular programming on June 7 to announce the story. It said the operation involved extracting an "abundance of strategic and sensitive information and documents" from within Israel, citing unnamed "regional sources."

According to the report, the documents were transferred to Iran after a period of secrecy intended to ensure their safe arrival. IRIB said the volume of material is so great that merely reviewing it will take considerable time.

Comment: The threat to Israel's security is of its own making.

US and Iran: Leaders' political will determines if a deal can be reached

TrumpFlags

The most important factor in determining whether a deal between the United States and Iran will ultimately be reached is political will. Despite the postponement of a fourth round of talks this week - reportedly due to logistical issues - there appears to be strong political will on both sides to pursue a diplomatic resolution. This underlying determination may prove more decisive than any technical or procedural delay.

In the United States, President Donald Trump seems to be sending mixed messages on the surface. He continues to invoke tough language on Iran, maintains sanctions, and pressures Tehran through military posturing. But the real signals of his intentions lie not in his public statements, but in his actions. Most notably, Trump's decision to fire National Security Adviser Mike Waltz has caught the attention of analysts and policymakers alike. Waltz, a key figure who reportedly held unauthorized discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about potential military strikes on Iran, was relieved of his duties - allegedly because Trump was angered by his efforts to push the US closer to conflict. This move is significant. It suggests that Trump is distancing himself from advisors advocating for war and that he favors a more controlled diplomatic path. The firing sends a clear internal message: Trump does not want to be boxed into a war, particularly one driven by external pressures from Israel or hardliners in his own administration.

The Zelensky regime will send the living to die but won't take back its dead.
War Dead

It is sad, but peace remains elusive in the war between, on one side, Ukraine and - through Ukraine - the West and, on the other, Russia. Recently, the US has at least admitted that Moscow has plausible and important interests at stake and that the West has been using Ukraine to fight a proxy war against Russia. While very late and still incomplete, such truthfulness could help fashion the kind of realistic compromise needed to end this war.

Yet Washington's European vassals have chosen this moment to discover their usually terminally atrophied capacity for talking back to the US: They, clearly, want the war to continue, even though that means Ukraine - about which they pretend to care - will lose even more people and territory.

Against this backdrop, it was no wonder that the latest round of the renewed Istanbul talks between Russia and Ukraine produced no breakthrough, little progress, and only very modest concrete results.

Also, on the eve of the talks, the Zelensky regime launched terror attacks on civilian trains in western Russia and a series of sneak drone strikes all through the country that - in the most generous reading - involved the war crime of perfidy: That, obviously, did not help find a way forward either. Indeed, by now it is clear that Kiev's sneak drone attacks in particular have only further undermined the Zelensky regime's already fragile standing in Washington: US President Donald Trump has been explicit that he accepts Russia's right to massively retaliate, or, in the original Trumpese "bomb the hell" out of Ukraine.

Luckily for Ukraine, Moscow is generally more restrained than America would be in a similar situation and it should stay so. Yet the fact remains, Kiev's sneak drones have made no substantial military difference in its favor, but they have done significant political damage - to Kiev, that is.

Supreme Court gives DOGE access to Social Security data

The Supreme Court gave the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) the greenlight to access Social Security Administration (SSA) data on Friday.

The Trump administration asked the justices in May to pause a district court judge's preliminary injunction preventing the SSA DOGE team from accessing certain records.

"We conclude that, under the present circumstances, SSA may proceed to afford members of the SSA DOGE Team access to the agency records in question in order for those members to do their work," the court's order states.

Comment: Time for popcorn?

Maybe not:

It's a tricky situation. There IS massive fraud and waste in the system as presently constituted, due to the siloeing Lynch deems a safeguard. The only way to uncover it is the access the DOGE team has been granted. The public is relying on the DOGE team behaving honorably with respect to personal SS information, but even if they should, it won't mean other actors will also.
