Biden's speech: Use COVID to destroy everything, blame Trump; Luongo interview with Sputnik

I was asked for comments by Sputnik News the other day about Democratic Nominee Joe Biden's assertion he would lock down the entire country if the scientists told him to.

As you can imagine I didn't hold back.

The idea that the scientists who have been the most vocal in advising President Trump and the other world leaders, would give Biden the honest answer about how to deal with COVID-19 at this point is beyond laughable.

I'm sorry but the official arbiters of "Science!" have done nothing but lie, delay, obfuscate and oversell the threat of this virus. And their miscommunication, intentional, well-meaning, or just incompetent, has cost humanity hundreds of billions if not trillions in accumulated wealth and time. Those things translate directly into lives lost, opportunities destroyed. Has Biden not looked around and seen the multiplying protests worldwide against these idiotic and tyrannical lock downs?

Comment: He should know best how to attest. He's been kept in a basement under management for personal insights into the tribulations of the masses.

Trump accuses Democrats of 'using COVID to steal our election' in defiant RNC remarks after accepting nomination

President Trump accused Democrats of "using COVID to steal our election" after securing the Republican nomination for president on the first day of the 2020 Republican National Convention.

The president, after an in-person roll call vote where Republicans officially renominated him to represent the party on the ballot in the Nov. 3 presidential election--and locking in the GOP ticket for the battle against Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his running mate Sen. Kamala Harris--took the stage and warned that Democrats are trying to "steal" the election.

"What they're doing is using COVID to steal our election," Trump said Monday from Charlotte, N.C., warning also against potential widespread fraud with regard to mail-in ballots for the election.

Comment: Trump took some time out to unexpectedly compliment his media nemesis, CNN, on their coverage of the RNC:
Not historically a CNN fan, US President Donald Trump suddenly decided to thank the network for reporting on last night's Republican Convention - but the post stirred up a virtual bloodbath between his supporters and opponents.

Trump tweeted his appreciation earlier on Tuesday, saying the broadcaster's coverage of the "the vast majority of the Republican Convention last night" was "really good for CNN while at the same time being good for our Country."

"Thank you!" he wrote in the emotive tweet.

The comments section turned into an online battleground between those supporting the Republican cause and Trump's nomination, and those fiercely opposing it. "CNN covers disasters quite well,"one critic wrote, while another labelled the convention a "clown show."

Others disagreed, insisting CNN only did this because it failed to perform well while covering the DNC. Among its critics was Errol Webber, a Republican candidate for Senate, who wrote that "CNN wanted ratings. They know no one watched the DNC."

Moderate voices, meanwhile, complained about the difficulties of getting unbiased, bipartisan news these days.

Trump seems to have taken a short break from the years-long animosity between himself and CNN. He publicly accused the network of spreading a hostile narrative, with his campaign going as far as to sue it for "false and defamatory" coverage on a par with New York Times and Washington Post.

The US president and his team have never pulled their punches while taking CNN's reporters to the task. Jim Acosta has earned the title of a "rude, terrible person" directly from Trump, while host Brian Stelter was once called"one of the most dishonest propagandists in the media" by the president's lawyer.

Never-Trump Lincoln Project accuses RNC attendee of calling Obama a 'monkey' during Trump's speech

The Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump PAC, claimed on Twitter that an attendee of the Republican National Convention called former President Barack Obama a "monkey" while President Donald Trump delivered remarks Monday. The claim was quickly amplified by a number of celebrities, politicians and journalists.

Trump highlighted "spying" focused on his 2016 campaign, and said these efforts involved former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden. Several convention attendees can be heard in the video shouting out in agreement, and one can be heard shouting "spygate," the unofficial name given to the scandal. The Lincoln Project, among others, claimed they heard differently.

Comment: Political pundit Anne Coulter captured the moment perfectly:

And the circus rolls on. November can't get here soon enough.

Do you have any questions or concerns about the COVID-19 containment measures? Do you hesitate to don your mask, practice proper social distancing, or (eventually) roll up your sleeve for the experimental mRNA vaccine? Then you're a sociopath who needs to be dealt with, according to a team of researchers from Brazil. Join James as he explores this latest attempt to pathologize political dissent, the horrific history of the weaponization of psychology for political purposes, and what this tells us about the coming biosecurity paradigm.

As violent riots break out, Democrat Nancy Pelosi labels Republicans as 'enemies of the state'

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) demonized Republicans during an MSNBC interview on Monday afternoon, calling them "enemies of the state" and "domestic enemies." Pelosi's comments come as violent riots from left-wing activists have plagued cities across the U.S. in recent months.

"We take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic," Pelosi said. "And sadly the domestic enemies to our voting system and our, honoring our Constitution are right [at] 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue with their allies in the Congress of the United States."

"But again, let's just get out there, mobilize, organize, and not let the president deter anybody from voting and again, support the postal system which is election central," she continued. "They're doing everything they can, suppress the vote, with your actions, scare people, intimidate by saying law enforcement will be there, diminish the role of the postal system in all of this.

"It's really actually shameful," she added. "Enemies of the state."

Comment: Towards the end of her divisive rant against half the population, Pelosi was as incoherent as Biden. Is the oxygen deprivation, cognitive dissonance, and lies finally catching up to her?

Hillary Clinton: Biden 'should not concede under any circumstances'

Hillary Clinton
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in a new interview that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden "should not concede under any circumstances" because she believes the final results in November's election are "going to drag out" due to mail-in voting.

"Joe Biden should not concede under any circumstances because I think this is going to drag out, and eventually, I do believe he will win if we don't give an inch and if we are as focused and relentless as the other side is," Clinton told former aide Jennifer Palmieri on Showtime's "The Circus."

"I think that [Republicans] have a couple of scenarios that they are looking toward. One is messing up absentee balloting. They believe that helps them so that they then get maybe a narrow advantage in the Electoral College on Election Day," Clinton, the 2016 Democratic nominee, alleged. "So we've got to have a massive legal operation, and I know the Biden campaign is working on that."

'He's going full Putin': Trump encourages '12 more years' chant at RNC to make opponents go 'crazy'...they respond by going crazy

President Donald Trump jokingly told the crowd at the Republican National Convention to replace their "four more years" chant with "12" because it will make his critics "crazy," and they played right into his hand.

Trump has floated the idea several times of holding the office of the presidency beyond two terms, despite the position holding exactly a two-term limit. He's previously trolled his critics, who have called him everything from a white supremacist to an enemy of the state to traitor, with memes that have ignited outrage among many on the left.

The president continued trolling while speaking at the Republican National Convention. Hearing the crowd chant "four more years," Trump responded by saying, "Now, if you really want to make them crazy, you chant 12 more years." The crowd responded by doing exactly that.

Secretary-General of Iran's Drug Control Headquarters Brigadier General Eskandar Momeni said that the production of drugs in Afghanistan has 50-folded in the past two decades after the US/NATO invasion, warning that the NATO aircraft traffic narcotics from Afghanistan.
"We have reliable intel showing that the NATO aircraft transit and traffic drugs," General Momeni said, addressing a meeting of the Headquarters' senior officials in Tehran on Monday.

He noted, "NATO's involvement in drug trafficking activities indicates that we are facing war and Iran is at the forefront of this war in the region".

Brazil's Bolsonaro says journalist 'wimps' more likely to die of COVID-19

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro continued his attack on journalists during a public event on Monday, describing reporters as "wimps" and saying they have a heightened chance of dying of COVID-19 because they are not athletic.

The right-wing former army captain has long had a fractious relationship with the media, frequently singling out specific newspapers and journalists for his ire. His followers have also attacked journalists at rallies and other public events.

On Sunday, Bolsonaro told a reporter, "I want to punch you in the face," after the reporter asked about thousands of dollars that were transferred into a bank account of the president's wife by a former aide who is now the target of a corruption probe.

Netanyahu clings to power as bill extending budget deadline passes through Knesset

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sought to pass a bill to delay the budget by 100 days. Following its passing, the PM can remain in office until the end of the year. If the bill had failed to pass, however, the Knesset would have been forced to dissolve at midnight and a new general election would be called.

The Israeli government successfully passed a bill through the Knesset on Monday which delays the deadline for the state budget, breaking a hurdle which would otherwise force an election, and giving the government an extra 120 days to avoid dissolution, The Times of Israel reported on Monday.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Benny Gantz both agreed on Monday evening that their respective parties would vote to support the bill.
