WHO denies pandemic treaty will reduce sovereignty of states - But it's pure propaganda

World Health Organisation
The Director General of the World Health Organisation (WHO) reassures us that the WHO's 'pandemic accord' (or 'treaty') won't reduce the sovereignty of Member States. The WHO trusts that these words will serve as a distraction from reality. Those driving the perpetual health emergency agenda are planning to give WHO more power, and states less. This will happen whenever WHO designates a 'Public Health Emergency of International Concern' (PHEIC), or considers we may be at risk of one.

The WHO's proposed treaty, taken together with its 'synergistic' amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR), aim to undo centuries of democratic reform that based sovereignty with individuals, and by extension their state. The discomfort of facing this truth and the complexities it raises is providing the cover needed to push these changes through. This is how democracy, and freedom, wither and die.

Is this the face that deleted a thousand (plus) emails? (With apologies to Christopher Marlowe)

If (a) I knew the words to Handel's Hallelujah Chorus and (b) I could sing, there has been no event in recent Canadian experience that would have had me out on some public balcony, going full Pavarotti, more than the upcoming visit of America's most famous and somewhat frequent — she managed it twice — loser of a presidential election.

Hillary Clinton is coming to Ottawa to speak at the Liberal Party of Canada's national convention on Friday. This will be like Palm Sunday for Ottawa's Liberal mandarins — except instead of palm leaves, the road from the airport will be strewn with print-outs of "deleted" emails.

How should the Liberals, star-struck worshippers of American political headliners, take this glory in? A visit from She who has splintered that architectural wonder, the glass ceiling, with a thousand cracks.

With an enthusiasm only moderately less — and this is a very high bar — than that they would afford just two others. Hillary Clinton ranks very high, but there are two higher in the pantheon of Liberal/Democratic idols.

National Post: Hillary Clinton urges Canada to keep up support for Ukraine, applauds child care plan
The best way to end Putin's aggression is for Ukraine to win,' Clinton told the Liberal convention Friday night

Ryan Tumilty
May 05, 2023

OTTAWA - Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told Liberals to keep supporting Ukraine, arguing the battle against Russia is a battle that the whole world can't afford to lose.

Clinton was a keynote speaker at the party's biennial convention in Ottawa Friday night and said western government should continue supporting Ukraine in anyway possible.

"Ukraine's fight for freedom and against Russian aggression is our fight. It is not just their fight," she said. "The best way to end Putin's aggression is for Ukraine to win."

Clinton said she worked with former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev during her time as secretary of state and said Medvedev was open to economic innovation. But she said Putin, who was pulling the strings at the time, didn't want that kind of openness.
"If you're going to encourage people to be free thinking in business. Whoa, that's a threat to the state, eventually."
She said a win against Putin in Ukraine will also cool China's ambitions to potentially invade Taiwan.

She said Ukrainians should be the only ones who decide when the war ends and they should have the west's support until then.

And yet, it is Washington that always calls the proxy shots.

"I want you to understand you're dealing with someone who is not only narcissistic and megalomaniacal, but totally untrustworthy," she said. "We have to continue to provide as much military support to Ukraine."

She must know the words well from looking in the mirror, while projecting the results upon another.

Clinton also turned to Canada's domestic politics and applauded the Liberal government's child care plan.

"It's important in today's political world to get out there and make sure people know what you've done. $10 a day for childcare that's extraordinary," she said. "The idea of a feminist set of policies of feminist economic policy is exactly where you need to be if you want to increase economic opportunity and economic output."

Clinton was on stage alongside Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland. Clinton warned her that when the election comes the government will face much more online disinformation and they should prepare.

"You will be running in 2025 and you will face more online fakes — fake videos of you, fake videos of the prime minister, fake videos of other leaders of the Liberal Party," she said. "This is coming, so get ready, and try to prevent as much as you can, but also protect against it."

It is interesting that Hillary made that final meddling comment (it's called Russian U.S. Collusion), as who is really doing the fakes is another matter. However, the so-called leftist parties, be it Canada, or the US, or the EU are putting into place many information based electronic and press countermeasures (Liberals pass resolution to expand media bailout, eliminate anonymous sources) that are posed to help insulate them further as they carry out a raft of future machinations upon citizens.

US facing crisis of 'system-wide, extensive' blackouts, Energy Commissioner warns

pylon energy grid
There were approximately 10,000 energy projects in April designed to produce more than 2,000 gigawatts (GW) of collective power waiting for permits from federal and state agencies to connect to electric grids across the United States.

The problem is, that is nearly twice the collective electricity output of the 1,250 GW now being produced by all the nation's power plants, most of which were built to generate power using fossil fuels.

Therefore, two bottlenecks are looming — more power is trying to squeeze into an inadequate grid and coal-fired plants are being retired faster than new plants using renewable energy sources such as wind and solar are being built to replace them.

"The United States is heading for a reliability crisis," Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Commissioner Mark Christie warned on May 4 in a hearing before the Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee.

Comment: Whilst incompetence indeed plays its part, it's telling as to how this is part of the establishment agenda that the US will soon be facing what Europe was threatened with this past winter: Britain to PAY homes to cut energy usage in bid to prevent blackouts amidst record cold weather

Things aren't looking good for the Russian 'SMO' in Ukraine. Increasingly bold sabotage attacks by the Ukrainians last week, together with the almighty row kicked off by Wagner founder Yevgeny Prigozhin about official Russian military support for his mercenary army (and the apparent lack thereof), do not augur well for Russian success against the coming 'Ukrainian counter-offensive' to drive them back beyond the Sea of Azov.

Is it all just 'optics' though? Does Russia just look weak, while in fact retaining the stronger hand? On this NewsReal, Joe & Niall sift the 'information war' from the 'tanks-and-guns' war, highlight the latest 'geoeconomic shifts' in the transition to a multipolar world order, and discuss the dire implications for free speech following the trial launch of a draconian crackdown on such in Ireland.

Clown world: Ukrainian MP punches Russian official, brawls at summit in Türkiye

ukraine mp punches russian delegate Turkey
The incident occurred during the PABSEC Parliamentary Assembly, when Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Marikovski unfurled his national flag behind a member of the Russian delegation, Olga Timofeeva, who was being interviewed.
Guests were "shocked" by the behavior of Kiev's representatives, the leader of Moscow's delegation told RT

A fistfight broke out at a summit of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) in Türkiye's capital Ankara on Thursday, where members of the Ukrainian delegation attempted to disrupt a meeting involving Russia. Olga Timofeyeva, acting head of the Russian delegation, told RT that guests had been "shocked" by the actions of their Ukrainian colleagues.

While Timofeyeva was delivering a speech, several Ukrainian guests came up behind her, unfurling a large Ukrainian flag and what appeared to be a banner belonging to a Ukrainian military unit.

Premier Leo Varadkar's treatment of Irish voters is utterly shameless

Tánaiste Leo Varadkar
Tánaiste Leo Varadkar
A successful politician requires a complex variety of skills. All are difficult to master. But the most difficult of all, I suspect, is keeping a straight face. Especially when it's patently obvious to the entire world that you're talking a load of shameless, self-serving nonsense.

A virtuoso in this particular field is Leo Varadkar, who is currently in his second spell as Irish premier. A little while ago, the Irish government organised a public consultation to find out what voters thought about its plans for draconian new laws to criminalise so-called "hate speech". It received more than 3,500 responses. Ben Scallan, a journalist for an Irish news website called Gript Media, claims to have read every single one - and suggests that over 70 per cent opposed the government's plans. Yet the government is still pressing ahead with them, regardless.

So what precisely, he asked Mr Varadkar this week, was the point of consulting the public at all?

"We do consultations because we think they're good practice," replied the Taoiseach, wearing an expression of immaculate sincerity. "It's a way to find out what people's thoughts are."

How corrupt Is our current situation? A cautionary tale

The football spiking by AG Merrick Garland today deserves some context. I am going to take you through a story that will highlight just how bad the situation really is.

Everything that preceded the 2020 federal election was a complex system of control by a network of ideologues, federal agencies, allies in the private sector, financial stakeholders and corrupt interests all working toward a common goal. There's no need to go through the background of how the election was manipulated and how the government and private sector, specifically social media, worked to influence the 2020 outcome because you have all seen it.

Whether it was local election officials working to control outcomes, federal agencies working to support them (CISA, FBI, DHS), financial interests working to fund them (Zuckerberg et al), or social media platforms controlling the visible content and discussion (Twitter Files, Google, Facebook etc.), the objective was all the same. It was a massive one-sided operation against the freewill of the American voter.

In the aftermath of the 2020 election, those same system operators, govt officials, corporate media, private sector groups and social media platforms then circled the wagons to scatter the evidence of their conduct. If you questioned anything you were a threat. That's the context to the dynamic that unfolded.

Taylor Greene reveals what 'staggering' bank statements indicate regarding Hunter Biden trafficking schemes

taylor green joe biden
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and President Joe Biden
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene leveled a stunning allegation against first son Hunter Biden this week regarding what she described as information gleaned from "staggering" bank statements.

The Georgia Republican said during an interview that the statements indicate Hunter was involved in sex trafficking schemes, citing the documents, as well as suspicious activity reports that show money being transferred between him and prostitutes.

"This is true human sex trafficking of people that are not even citizens. And the question is, were they being held in some sort of sex slavery?" Greene said during an appearance on conservative commentator Benny Johnson's podcast.

"These are the crimes that the FBI and the Department of Justice should be investigating and prosecuting with Hunter Biden because the evidence is all there, and the women are easily accessible. You can talk to them and call them in as witnesses," she added.

Best of the Web: Russian oil floods global markets via major Asian intermediaries

putin modi xi saudi iran
© The CradleDespite western sanctions, there is more Russian fuel being exported around the world than before the Ukraine crisis. It's just coming via Saudi Arabia, India, China, and other trading states - with steep commissions.
Despite western sanctions imposed on Russia over the Ukraine conflict, some Asian and specifically West Asian economies are importing significant amounts of Russian gasoline at discounted prices, and reselling it with windfall profits to the EU under their brand names.

Western sanctions have forced Moscow to actively diversify its energy exports - oil and gas exports accounted for 45 percent of the Russian government's 2022 budget - and it has rapidly filled the gap left by its diminished oil exports to Europe with new customers in China, India, and the Persian Gulf nations.

Despite the EU's prohibition on seaborne exports, during the initial quarter of the current year, Russian seaborne crude oil exports amounted to 3.5 million barrels per day (bpd), surpassing the 3.35 million bpd recorded at the onset of the Ukrainian conflict a year ago.

Pepe Escobar: US outmatched by Russia, China

The Biden administration's policy of simultaneously confronting both Russia and China is doomed to fail, Pepe Escobar, geopolitical analyst and veteran journalist, told Radio Sputnik's New Rules podcast.

"It's so absurd, that obviously these neocons, they haven't even read [Zbigniew] Brzezinski," Escobar said, referring to the ex-US National Security Advisor and influential strategist.

"Ok, let's say he was a Democrat-linked neocon, but he was talking about this in the nineties already when he wrote The Grand Chessboard published in 1997. He was already saying, 'We have to prevent the emergence of a peer competitor in Eurasia by any means necessary'. So what do we have now? We have the emergence of a strategic partnership of peer competitors across Eurasia and the response of the neocons is, 'Okay, let's go to war against both of them at the same time'. Even a kid knows this is completely absurd."
