Best of the Web: Wagner Stunt a Coup or Psyop? Neither

Yevgeny Viktorovich Prigozhin
The internet was and still is abuzz about Prigozhin's complete meltdown. The NAFO crowd was reacting like it was the end of Putin and Moscow was being sacked. The fake news was never ending. The Russophiles spun everything harder than a Trumpanzee into a game of 4D chess where the whole thing was just a psyop. A psyop with no obvious gains. There was no attack on Wagner and no coup, just a theatrical jar shaker who fell on his face. There was an open spaz out by a delusional neurotic rich guy losing his toy. The crusty old Jewish oligarch for one did not create Wagner, and was a not a military planner. He never served in the military and has no military experience despite always wearing a uniform.

He was a weak but wealthy old man trying desperately to hold onto power. At the end of June Wagner units were being absorbed into different Russian military outfits. This was too much for the gremlin. He had been at odds with the Russian defense ministry for many months. He fancied himself the real commander who "knew better" than the suits in Moscow. But he was also a suit, a chef, well not even that, he owned catering companies. His role in Wagner was essentially his wealth. He was a businessman, not a military man. He was not planning the tactics on the ground, the commanders were. It does not matter how many videos he posted of himself staring at and drawing lines on a giant table map, on telegram.

Best of the Web: Why Pride lost the public

pride flag
© The Spectator
Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably witnessed the backlash to Pride. There have been mass boycotts of Bud Light after the beer company partnered with trans woman and TikTok influencer, Dylan Mulvaney, sending her a custom can to celebrate her first year of "girlhood." Target was next to come under fire for its Pride display targeting children and their "tuck-friendly" bathing suits for women.

This set the stage for the most divisive Pride month in some time. First, the boycotts. Then videos of angry parents at school boards went viral. Conservative radio hosts and commentators vowed to make Pride "toxic" to brands. But it's not just conservatives who are pushing back; according to a recent Gallup poll, even Democrats have seen a drop in the acceptance of same-sex relations.

Which begs the question: what happened to Pride? After decades of progress for gay rights, growing acceptance of gay marriage and the normalization of same-sex relationships, Pride is unexpectedly political again. Why?

Best of the Web: Want to compromise brain activity? Just add SARS-CoV-2 spike!

A spike protein
Glia-glia, neuron-neuron and neuron-glia fusion to compromise neuronal activity

This latest paper published in Science Advances on June 7, 2023 entitled: "SARS-CoV-2 infection and viral fusogens cause neuronal and glial fusion that compromises neuronal activity",1 confirms some disturbing theories as to why we have been witnessing neurological impairment and damages since SARS-CoV-2 was introduced to the public. It also begs some extremely disturbing questions as to why the injection-associated spike may also be causing neurological adverse events that are being excessively reported in all pharmacovigilance databases all over the world. Could it be due to the same mechanism?

I made a video about 2 years ago (and testified at the National Citizen's Inquiry where this is also discussed), where I propose that free (circulating) spike protein2 can bind and disrupt the closed loop cycle of the Renin Angiotensin Aldosterone System (RAAS) by binding ACE-2 to inhibit its activity via competitive binding. This would also have consequences for downstream signaling events in the case of binding membrane-bound ACE-2.

Moscow seeks trade alliances with countries in Asia and the Global South at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

It was a brave new world when Aeroflot's Delhi-Moscow flight touched down at Sheremetyevo International Airport on a balmy Monday morning.

June 12 also happened to be a public holiday because of Russia Day, which has been celebrated annually since 1992. The day commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (RSFSR) in 1990, and the public holiday spirit spilled onto the streets of Moscow, a bustling metropolis of over 13 million in western Russia and the country's melting pot and nerve center.

A slice of Russia's diversity - Moscow is home to many of the 193 ethnic groups in the world's largest country - can be experienced in the unique ancient city built in concentric circles. Moscow is built on five rings, which are more than concrete physical infrastructure of roads and railways. The rings are the vibrating soul of the Russian capital and a bird's-eye view gives a fascinating impression of a giant dartboard. The rings are of varying size spreading from its bull's eye - the seat of power and the world's largest medieval fortress, the Kremlin - like cascading ripples in a huge body of water.

Jasperites woke up to the white stuff coming down hard on Monday as a freak snowstorm created an unusual start to the week of the Summer Solstice.

Beginning overnight, as much as 40 cm of snow started falling throughout Jasper National Park, creating a flake of bemusement and an avalanche of frustration for drivers, campers, the RCMP Musical Ride team and everyone else.

"We had a developing low pressure system on Sunday over the central portion of the province. That was associated with a lot of cold air aloft flooding into the province, helping create these quite heavy showers over west-central portions of the province in Yellowhead County, including Jasper and especially the Grande Cache area, and the Hinton area all the way to the B.C. border," said Sara Hoffman, meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Comment: Update June 20

Edmonton.citynews.ca reports:
Roads closed by Jasper National Park, 60 visitors rescued

Due to increased rainfall and snow in some locations, Parks Canada brought 60 visitors to safety after being stranded at Jasper National Park on Monday.

In some locations, the park received more than 100 millimetres of rain and more than 55 centimetres of snow, leading to the closures of two backcountry routes, Miette Road and Maligne Road.

The visitors stranded were hikers on Skyline Trail, paddlers on Maligne Lake, and two full busses of visitors on Maligne Road.

Parks Canada says Miette Road is open for single-lane traffic for those leaving Miette Hot Springs by 7 p.m.

Meanwhile, rangers will provide an update for the opening of Miette Road at a later date.

Maligne Road is expected to remain closed for 48-72 hours to "allow for any avalanches triggered by the storm to come down and to complete debris removal."

Best of the Web: YouTube removes video of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Jordan Peterson for vaccine 'misinformation'

YouTube said Monday that it had removed a video of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. speaking with podcast host Jordan Peterson for spreading what the company said was vaccine misinformation.

The decision is the latest challenge for Kennedy as he seeks to find support for a Democratic presidential run after years as an anti-vaccine crusader. The video was removed amid a broader tug-of-war online between vaccine conspiracy theorists and prominent doctors.

YouTube's policies against hosting false medical information are long-standing.

"We removed a video from the Jordan Peterson channel for violating YouTube's general vaccine misinformation policy, which prohibits content that alleges that vaccines cause chronic side effects, outside of rare side effects that are recognized by health authorities," YouTube said Monday in a statement.

Best of the Web: Covid19 - A propaganda masterpiece - Mark Crispin Miller

Mark Crispin Miller
Professor Mark Crispin Miller teaches media studies at New York University (NYU) and is an expert in propaganda. Dr. Miller says just about everything concerning Covid was simply an elaborate exercise in propaganda. Dr. Miller explains,
"The propaganda dimension is crucial to our understanding of what went down. Some people like to say this is a result of a number of 'blunders' by the health authorities and the government. 'Blunders.' No, these are not 'blunders.' When everything they recommend is deleterious and destructive of people's health . . . . When they suppress the truth about life saving remedies in furtherance of this so-called 'vaccination program,' and when the so-called 'vaccines' have abysmal records for safety and effectiveness and those records are all hidden, we cannot reasonably conclude this is all the result of 'blunders.' I have called the period from 2020 through the present a 'Propaganda Masterpiece.' . . . . Covid and every aspect of that whole crisis was engineered with extreme brilliance and sophistication of a propaganda operation. This was followed by the George Floyd moment. This served a number of purposes quite in line with the Covid crisis, which is to shut down society, cripple the economy and destroy the middle class. . . . Also, another important aspect of this whole propaganda epic has been to divide the American people. . . . No matter what side of the struggle we are on, what matters is the struggle took place at all. It is deeply divisive. . . .

Flashback Best of the Web: Professor Valentina Zharkova explains and confirms why a "Super" Grand Solar Minimum is upon us

Valentina Zharkova
Professor Valentina Zharkova gave a presentation of her Climate and the Solar Magnetic Field hypothesis at the Global Warming Policy Foundation in October, 2018. The information she unveiled should shake/wake you up.

Zharkova was one of the few that correctly predicted solar cycle 24 would be weaker than cycle 23 - only 2 out of 150 models predicted this.

Her models have run at a 93% accuracy and her findings suggest a Super Grand Solar Minimum is on the cards beginning 2020 and running for 350-400 years.

The last time we had a little ice age only two magnetic fields of the sun went out of phase.

This time, all four magnetic fields are going out of phase.

Here's a great (and relatively brief) video explanation of Zharkova's presentation from Diamond and Lee Wheelbarger:

Comment: So not only does the non-politicized science confirm a Grand Solar Minimum - but we now know that it is Super (and even more probable) because all four magnetic fields are going out of phase.

Best of the Web: The Truth in Wokeism

stree france urban peasant
Wokeness derives its power from deep truths, as the example of reformist education shows. If we don't recognize this, we risk losing our free will.

It is true: since the Woke Turn, we have all become conservatives.

But words have power; they connect us with concepts of a higher order, and therefore to entire thought clusters. We better know their nature if we are to avoid stumbling around blindly under a compulsion we don't understand, victims of yet another unholy dialectic: the playthings of forces whose very existence we actively deny by invoking an imaginary realm of facts and reason where there are mostly reactions and well-worn mind grooves that propel us in directions we may or may not want to go.

"Conservative," to many of us, connects to a sort of mirror image of Wokeness, its negation. Where those people say "anything goes," we demand discipline; where they say "you should express yourself," we say "just accept outside reality," and where they seek to "break free from how we have lived for centuries," we demand tradition to be honored.

But a merely reactive state like that, where we robotically invert the latest fashionable slogan, by definition is a state with little free will.
