'Q' followers are all excited about this, apparently believing it heralds sweeping imminent mass arrests of Swamp creatures the whole Empire over.
If only.
More likely, it's taken an entire year to follow up on Maxwell because LOTS of backroom deals had to be worked out first. For instance, also reported today is a ruling by the judge in the defamation case Alan Dershowitz brought against Virginia Giuffre that her legal team must "destroy all files" they have on Epstein - over 1,000 of them - because her lawyers allegedly "came into possession of them improperly."
We do wonder, however, if some action finally took place today because of last week's sacking of Geoffrey Berman, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York (SDNY), by US Attorney General William Barr, apparently at Trump's insistence.
The fact remains, however, that everyone who's anyone is either implicated in this scandal, or stands to lose a lot from it 'going wrong'. For one thing, former FBI director James Comey's daughter, Maurene Comey, remains one of the SDNY prosecutors handling the Epstein case, and Maxwell has just been transferred from New Hampshire to that jurisdiction to face criminal charges...
Update (July 3): The details of the charges against Maxwell have been released by acting US Attorney for the Southern District of New York Audrey Strauss, and they are revolting:
Strauss described in detail how Maxwell "played a critical role in helping Epstein to identify, befriend and groom minor victims for abuse," pretending to take an interest in the girls' lives, taking them shopping and to the movies, and convincing them to let Epstein pay for their schooling and travel, thus placing them in his debt.Former Israeli spy Ari Ben-Menashe has claimed Maxwell was a Mossad agent like her father and that the pair used underage girls as bait to blackmail world leaders. This would hardly be the first time an intel agency used the "honeypot" trap to gain leverage on politicians. That particular spy operation is most well-known for having entrapped Mordechai Vanunu after he blew the whistle on Israel producing nuclear weapons at the Dimona plant. He was arrested in Rome by the Mossad, drugged and taken back to Israel where he served 18 years in prison for "treason," 11 of those years in solitary confinement.
"Maxwell then tried to normalize sexual abuse" by discussing sexual topics, undressing in front of the girls, even being physically present while the girls gave Epstein massages, the prosecutor explained, thereby putting the victims at ease and leaving them "susceptible to sexual abuse."
As for her false testimony, "Maxwell lied because the truth as alleged was almost unspeakable," Strauss stated. "Maxwell enticed minor girls, got them to trust her, then delivered them into the trap that she and Epstein had set for them."
Another piece of damning info on Maxwell is that she apparently inquired to her realtor in New Hampshire about the flight patterns over the property she would eventually purchase. The realtor described the inquiry as "very strange." It's only strange if you're not wanted by the FBI!

She was protected by the French non-extradition law. Should have "stood" there. She likely has enough money to buy her way out of almost anything, but they still might smoke her. After all, she "knows too much." Might be a plot available next to Vince Foster's or even near Epstein's. If she is to be killed, it will probably be sooner rather than later.

I think she's a pathetic case - a society girl who's never had to earn an honest living, youngest and probably demonic daddy's favorite, with no skill set or any desire to learn one. She's been mooching off of people in France and wearing out her welcome, and has gotten some idea that she's going to be able to avoid jail time by a plea bargain whereby she becomes an informant. It all seems a bit too easy to me. The fact that she willingly came back to the USA either means she is to arrogant to believe anything will happen or more likely, deals have been made. I don’t think they will try the suicide route again because after they used it once, nobody is going to believe it again. I would expect ANY person with even a lick of common sense to be very concerned about the proximity of airports, the flight patterns and thus the noise levels, the proximity of train tracks, the train schedules, the proximity of roadways/highways and the type and volume of traffic anywhere in the vicinity of a prospective home purchase. I would consider any person who does NOT concern themselves with such items when looking to purchase a home to be moronic, and, whatever else Ghislane might be, she doesn't strike me as a complete moron.

Here's my take: I still think it's a pretty simple story of luring her in with promises of a plea bargain to make sure that she doesn't start squawking about what she knows. It'll all work, slick as snot, and she'll spend a token amount of jail time, then think she's free. In a while, when she's solidly yesterday's news, she'll have a very unfortunate 'accident' which will be given no attention by msm, and that'll be that. If she turned up and was truthful about everything and repentant for her part it would shine even more light on the whole operation. That would be a very good thing and stop the protection racket that many are hiding behind. This takes a lot of courage and is unlikely but always possible.

Joyly I look at her pictures. Such as the one with Epstein's arm around her neck claiming ownership and nuzzling her, and her contented, 'Daddy loves me', smile. And other pictures where she has the vague eyes that you see on people in women's shelters, the ones who've gone from one abusive relationship to the next. A person doesn't go from this state to one of responsibility and moral fortitude without quite a few mental and emotional stages of self-recovery. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but it isn't going to happen overnight. There's just not enough of her sense of self that's accessible to her at this point, and recovering it is going to require extremely painful confrontations with her past, even if she can find the will to do it.
lsjarvi Agreed. When you have given your will away to others your whole life, it is not easy to find it. However I was about 65 when I started to change my life, so I know it is possible and I had a very good teacher/mentor. I do not know what her tipping point is. It might be the threat of incarceration? Or fear of death? I don’t know, but I do know it is possible.
