The research by credit card company Visa and the University of Technology Sydney found Australians are open to the prospect of paying for items using wearable tech including smart watches, rings, glasses and even a connected car.
"Australians are among the world's earliest adopters of new technology," Head of Emerging Products and Innovation for Visa in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, George Lawson said.
Visa is currently looking at how its payments tech can be integrated with wearable devices and is working with UTS to figure out how it might be adopted by the next generation of shoppers.
"New technology like tokenisation makes it possible to turn any device into a secure vehicle for commerce. We're already seeing smartphone payments take off in Australia. Partnering with UTS gives us the opportunity to explore what our next device might be," Lawson said.

I keep pushing the work of John Taylor Gatto because there's more going on in this. It's like a sick joke by the TPB whom undoubtedly revel in the imbecility of the stooges signing up for their plan. It's an effective network, responsible for ruling civilization for thousands of years, but increasingly it is becoming ever sicker with the increasing power and perversions of the wealth which comes with this power.
When I look upon evil of this scale I tend to think that it is a bit like a test by Universe to see if humans can surmount this test as nature seeks ever higher life forms because it's the nature of Universe to become increasingly complex. We humans are only the first of our kind, and probably as generation one beings we are too imperfect to survive the test, and it's a simple test really. Can we figure out and surmount the will of selfish lust for absolute power, because obviously Universe reserves that right to itself, so if we cannot we will all perish and join the ranks of the trilobites encased as artifacts in clay for another round of test subjects.
