Barbie review with SARAH VINE: The mother and daughter's verdict that every man in this film is a bigot or a loser - my daughter totally loved it!

barbie movie
Barbie or no Barbie, it’s not intrinsically that good a film. It’s uneven, disjointed, the plot makes no real sense — and the dead hand of corporate America weighs heavily upon it.
Monday evening, 6.15pm, Leicester Square, London. The place is packed with tourists, office workers, hawkers, pickpockets, a cacophony of sights and sounds. And a queue.

A giant queue of people, snaking all the way around the cinema past the Lego store, past the lurid M&M shop, all the way to Wardour Street.

I've honestly never seen anything like it. It felt more like the queue for some sell-out teeny-bopper concert than the press night for a film about a plastic doll. There were security men with wires coming out of their ears, bright pink influencers preening for social media, officials with clipboards handing out embargos for us all to sign.

Why can't greens practise what they preach?

Even eco-warriors don't want to live in the miserable world they are trying to inflict on us.

Scratch an environmentalist, find a massive hypocrite.
Yes, for all their talk of the 'climate emergency', for all their demands that ordinary people stop driving, stop flying and dispense with our supposedly selfish, consumerist ways, it seems that today's climate campaigners are always struggling to practise what they preach.

Shelagh Day is the latest green campaigner to have been exposed by the tabloids with seemingly minimal investigative effort. Day is the woman who threw orange confetti at former UK chancellor George Osborne at his wedding two weeks ago, in apparent tribute to Just Stop Oil. Yesterday, the Mail on Sunday revealed that a few years back she went on a three-week getaway to Thailand - a 10,000-mile round trip that almost certainly involved burning plentiful amounts of hydrocarbons.

Despite the increasing militancy of today's climate campaigners - who are demanding an immediate end to fossil fuels and a painful reining in of modern life - it seems that few of them are immune to the lure of a faraway foreign holiday. Gail Bradbrook, a co-founder of Extinction Rebellion, was revealed in 2019 to have flown to Costa Rica for a £2,500 stay at a psychedelics retreat. When at home in Stroud, she also drives a diesel.

Bloomberg 'Sound of Freedom' hit piece written by pro-pedo contributor

'Sound Of Freedom' Hit Piece
Following the release of the "Sound of Freedom," Jim Caviezel's anti-child-trafficking film, a chorus of mainstream hit-pieces came out denouncing it as a "QAnon" conspiracy flick.

But one author of a recent SoF hit-piece in Bloomberg isn't just against the movie, he's a pedo-defending freelancer who used to work for an organization working to normalize pedophilia.

Meet Noah Berlatsky: he's just your average liberal mainstream media news contributor. Ironically, Berlatsky's latest criticism of the drama focusing on the grave yet glossed over issue of child trafficking lambasted the movie with vitriolic scorn for perpetuating dangerous tropes, whilst he himself turned to the truly tired trope of accusing the movie of packaging together various QAnon conspiracy theories and being a movie made for alt-right boomers. There's just one problem...Berlatsky has a sordid history of advocating for the normalization of pedophilia.

A female National Guard recruit considered resigning after being forced to shower with a transgender person identifying as a woman who still had male genitalia, according to a report.

According to Fox News Digital, an 18-year-old military recruit was forced to not only shower with the biological male, but she was forced to sleep in between "two individuals who were supposedly changing from male to female."

The recruit reported significant distress about the matter.

Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD) brought up the story during a hearing last week.

"I'm aware of a situation; it was just brought to my attention — a young woman in the South Dakota National Guard experienced a situation at basic training, where she was sleeping in open bays and showering with biological males who had not had gender reassignment surgery, but were documented as females because they have begun the drug therapy process," he said.

Authorities plan to use a genetic database to fine dog owners who fail to pick up after their pets.

Dog owners in the southern French town of Beziers could soon be required to obtain a "genetic passport" for their animals as local authorities try to reduce dog feces on the streets, according to a proposal put out by local mayor Robert Menard over the weekend.

Speaking to local radio station France Bleu, the mayor pointed out that the residents of Beziers had grown frustrated with pet owners who fail to pick up after their dogs and claimed that the street cleaning services had been picking up as many as 1,000 feces a month just in the center of the town.

A fire that broke out at the military training grounds in the Kirovske district on the Crimean Peninsula has forced the evacuation of more than 2,000 people and a closure of nearby highway, the Moscow-backed governor of Crimea said on Wednesday.

"It is planned to temporarily evacuate residents of four settlements - this is more than 2,000 people," Russian-installed Governor Sergei Aksyonov of Crimea said on the Telegram messaging app.

There was no reason given for the fire, which also forced the partial closure of the major Tavridy Highway.

Comment: Russia has indeed responded in kind over the terrorist attack on the bridge that killed a mother and father and injured their daughter (note that Reuters fails to mention that confirmed and important detail): Ukrainian naval terror drone bases destroyed

It's likely that this explosion was an attack by either Kiev and/or the foreign forces operating in Ukraine: Airbase attacks deep inside Russia point to CIA covert ops and a planned war

Illegal immigrant kids with tuberculosis infections released into 44 states

The government is releasing thousands of illegal immigrant children with latent tuberculosis infections into American communities without assurances of treatment.

Nearly 2,500 children with latent infections were released into 44 states over the past year, according to a court-ordered report on how the Health and Human Services Department is treating the children.

About 126,000 total were released, indicating an infection rate of 1 in 50 migrant children.

The government says it can't treat the children because they are in custody for a short time and treatment requires three to nine months. HHS releases infected children to sponsors and notifies local health authorities in the hope that they can arrange for treatment before the latent infection becomes active.

Those hopes are often dashed.

Italy's public debt hits historic high

Government borrowing has exceeded $3 trillion, according to the central bank...

Italy's public debt surged by nearly €5 billion ($5.6 billion) in the first five months of the year, hitting a new record in May, data published by the Bank of Italy this week revealed.

Government debt reached €2.816 trillion ($3.1 trillion) in May after passing the €2.800-trillion mark in April, figures showed. It represents a €4.8 billion ($5.3 billion) increase compared to the previous month, the regulator said.

Massimiliano Dona, President of the National Union of Italian Consumers (UNC), said:
"Another historic record! This is a big disaster for our country, given the constant rise in interest rates, leading to an increase in the burden of public debt, which the Italians pay from their taxes. It is impossible to cut taxes while the public debt is out of control. We have to change its structure by helping low-income households and by raising windfall taxes."
Italy is the most indebted country in the Eurozone after Greece, and one of the most highly indebted nations in the world.

'Problems have escaped': Crime now spreading to one of the richest neighborhoods in US

Smash and grabs, robberies, burglaries and open-air drug use have historically been contained to a few neighborhoods, but now criminals are targeting the city's richest neighborhoods, the San Francisco police union chief told Fox News.

"Now you're seeing crime in the more affluent areas," Tracy McCray, president of the San Francisco Police Officers Association, told Fox News. "Larcenies shot off the charts."

Larceny, robbery, assaults and motor vehicle theft crimes were all up from 2020-2022, according to San Francisco police data. A recent string of armed robberies targeting women with children last month in a nice San Francisco neighborhood shocked residents.

"You see the CVS, you see the Walgreens, you see the smash and grabs," McCray told Fox News. "They are really now a problem for the whole city."

Comment: As societal decay in the US is purposefully left unaddressed, the public will demand more controls. They are ready.
