A convicted Palestinian terrorist who served as a key figure in the recent Women's March on Washington is set to be deported to the country of Jordan and stripped of her United States citizenship.

According to Heat Street, Rasmea Odeh's deportation and loss of U.S. citizenship comes after a multi-year investigation into her failure to disclose to immigration authorities that she had been imprisoned for a decade after committing two terror attacks in Israel.

Odeh recently accepted a plea bargain that allowed her to avoid prison time only if she gave up her U.S. citizenship and agreed to go back to Jordan. Thanks to the plea bargain, Odeh will forgo any additional prison time.

Politicized bureaucracy: Vietnam War veteran fights to get Trump portrait put up at Florida VA hospital

In every Veterans Affairs hospital in the country, there is supposed to be a portrait of the current U.S. president and VA secretary. That wasn't the case in a VA facility in Port St. Lucie, Florida—until a dedicated veteran fought back.

The Florida hospital, whose sole mission is to serve injured and sick veterans, refused to hang a picture of President Donald Trump and VA Sec. David Shulkin. Instead, the hospital had an empty picture frame hanging beside a portrait of a former Obama-era VA secretary. Sitting in front of the empty frame where the president's portrait would ordinarily hang was a large plant.

After witnessing this "very disrespectful" scene, Vietnam War veteran Joe Carollo demanded the facility's receptionist hang the proper photos. The receptionist's response is both incredible and outrageous.

Jordanian imam's call for Jews to be killed at Montreal mosque draws police complaint

A Montreal mosque is facing a police complaint and rebukes from the larger Muslim community after a video of an imam delivering a sermon in which he asks for Jews to be killed surfaced online.

The sermon took place at the Dar Al-Arqam Mosque in the city's Saint-Michel neighbourhood on Dec. 23, 2016.

The video was posted to the mosque's YouTube channel three days later. The imam in the video is Jordanian cleric Sheikh Muhammad bin Musa Al Nasr — he was reportedly an invited guest of the mosque.

In the video, the imam recites in Arabic the verse: "O Muslim, O servant of Allah, O Muslim, O servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him."

Israeli army's statement on the killing of a Palestinian teen, wounding 4, contradicted by evidence

Funeral

Five teenagers were on their way back from Ramallah city last Thursday evening, heading home to al-Jalazone refugee camp, when Israeli forces opened fire at the teens on the main road that separates the camp from the nearby illegal Israeli settlement of Beit El.

One teen, Mohammed Mahmoud Ibrahim Hatab, 17, was shot dead by Israeli forces. Two others were critically injured, eighteen-year-olds Jassem Muhammed Nakhla, and Mohammed Hatab (a cousin sharing the same name of the young man who was killed), while a fourth youth suffered bullet wounds but is in stable condition, a medical source at the Ramallah government hospital told Mondoweiss. The driver, the oldest of the five at 19, suffered from light shrapnel wounds.

Beit El is an Israeli settlement that has gotten direct support from Donald Trump's adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner and from the new U.S. ambassador to Israel, David Friedman.

An Israeli army spokesperson said:
"Three suspects exited a vehicle adjacent to the community of Beit El, where suspects threw firebombs at the community. In response to the threat, Israeli forces in the area fired towards the suspects, and several hits were confirmed. The suspects then fled the scene."
Evidence of the scene directly contradicts the army's statement. The car the teens were driving was riddled with bullet holes and the seats and floor of the car saturated with blood, indicating that forces shot at the teens when they were seated in the car, not standing on the side of the road. When asked about the discrepancy, the spokesperson could not comment.

Comment: The undeniable slaughtering of Palestinians, especially the youth, continues unabated. Justice, 50 years overdue, doesn't happen. There is no excuse whatsoever to look away and let this go on.

'Anti-Islamophobia' motion 103 passes in Canada: Will anything change?

m103 canada protest
The basic question to ask the supporters of the contentious anti-Islamophobic motion is has it any utility? Will it do anything? Will it change attitudes for the better? If there is a stock of genuine Islamophobia in Canada, will recording this motion decrease it, or move to decrease it?

That, I presume, was the priority consideration in the minds that brought it forth. Obviously, they must have thought it would, for otherwise there would be no point in issuing it, arguing for it, and stirring the quite considerable debate it already has.

For the motion itself, and the politics that attended it, have not been without contention. The questions raised on its wording were legitimate. Why the particular focus on Islam? Why not a motion, as some have suggested, speaking out against prejudice against all religions?

Comment: The motion is perhaps well-intended, but will likely only stifle free speech while accomplishing nothing productive for either Canadians at large or Muslim Canadians.

Record pace set for the number of police killings in 2017

Comey FBI
James Comey
There are detailed mortality statistics, maintained by the government, on just about every cause of death of Americans, with the exception of one category; death by cop. Perusing through the FBI's database, there's even a category called "Law Enforcement Officers Killed In The Line Of Duty." However, as The Free Thought Project has previously reported, there are still no statistics on the number of citizens killed by police officers.

There exists, however, a citizen-run database which estimates the number of people killed by police has exceeded 1,000 per year since 2014. So far, according to Killed By Police's findings, 2017 will be no different. This year, if the pace of police killings doesn't change, at least one thousand people will lose their lives in officer-involved shootings.

During the first quarter of 2017 (and it's not yet over), based upon media reports alone, police officers around the country have killed 283 people, while only 28 police officers have lost their lives in the line of duty. Of those 28, only a few (8) were killed as a direct result of violence.

The number of those killed by police may be much higher, as the Killed By Police website relies on data mining of news stories to compile its statistics, an unreliable method at best. The fact the government does not maintain such an invaluable database serves as fodder for conspiracy theorists, who may conclude the government is trying to cook the books and hide the real numbers.

Several dozen people assembled outside the White House Saturday to demand an investigation into the unfounded Internet rumor known as "Pizzagate."

Wearing T-shirts and holding banners defending the conspiracy theory — which falsely linked Hillary Clinton to an alleged child-sex-trafficking ring operating out of a D.C. pizza parlor — protesters took turns climbing onto an elevated stage in Lafayette Square to demand politicians and mainstream news media take their claims seriously.

"I don't have any doubt that Pizzagate is real," said Kori Hayes, a corrections officer who drove with his wife and three kids to Washington from Middleburg, Fla., on Friday night for the event. "But nothing is being said about it."

Uber has suspended its self-driving cars in three states after one of its vehicles was involved in a high-impact crash in which the vehicle was flipped on its side.

The Volvo SUV was making a left turn at an intersection in Arizona, where Uber has been trialing autonomous vehicles, on Friday when another car "failed to yield" and struck it, according to police.

"There was a person behind the wheel [of the self-driving car]. It is uncertain at this time if they were controlling the vehicle at the time of the collision," said officer Josie Montenegro.

vaccine denier graphic
The endlessly increasing vaccine push on the public, at the behest of pharmaceutical companies, can be looked at as nothing more than a psychological operation (PSYOP). From the European Regional Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) comes the 2016 "Best Practice Guidance 1st Edition: How to Respond to Vocal Vaccine Deniers in Public". From this guide parents and communities will understand how to see through the simplistic messaging maneuvers and counter the ongoing public PSYOP. The WHO's guiding document opens on page one with the following statement:
"This guidance document provides basic broad principles for a spokesperson of any health authority on how to respond to vocal vaccine deniers. The suggestions are based on psychological research on persuasion, on research in public health, communication studies and on WHO risk communication guidelines."
