A veteran State Department official resigned from the agency Tuesday after Joe Biden reaffirmed America's commitment to support Israel in its war against Hamas.

Josh Paul, who worked in the State's bureau overseeing arms transfers for more than a decade, expressed disapproval over the amount of US military assistance provided to America's Middle East ally and resigned because he couldn't do anything about it.

He shared his lengthy two-page resignation letter on LinkedIn, citing a 'policy disagreement' concerning 'continued lethal assistance to Israel,' which received mixed reactions.

His resignation coincided with President Joe Biden's visit to Israel, during which he pledged a substantial $100 billion aid package.

Khabib Nurmagomedov, the Russian former undefeated UFC champion, has claimed the missile strike that devastated a hospital in Gaza late on Tuesday was an act of "genocide."

"Bombing a hospital full of children and refugees is not a pathway towards peace," Nurmagomedov, 35, wrote in a message on Instagram on Wednesday. "This is genocide."

He added that "no one deserves to be bombed just because they were born where they were born," along with posting a broken heart emoji and the flag of Palestine.

Comment: Funny how an everyday person can say clearly what politicians of every stripe are dancing around.

CNN reporter who "confirmed" fake beheaded Israeli babies story promoted Libya intervention propaganda in 2011

Sara Sidner
12 years before Sara Sidner helped pave the way for ethnic cleansing in Gaza, she generated "mass hysteria" about rape to justify NATO's Libya intervention

On the morning of October 11, CNN correspondent Sara Sidner announced on air that allegations that Hamas militants had beheaded forty Israeli babies in the Kfar Aza kibbutz were true.

"We have some really disturbing new information out of Israel. The Israeli prime minister spokesman just confirmed babies and toddlers were found with their heads decapitated in Kfar Aza in southern Israel after Hamas attacks in the kibbutz over the weekend," she declared. "That has been confirmed by the prime minister's office."

Meanwhile, reporters on the ground refuted Sidner's dubious claim.

Israeli journalist Oren Ziv, who visited Kfar Aza in the aftermath of the attack, tweeted about the beheaded babies allegation, saying that "During the tour we didn't see any evidence of this, and the army spokesperson or commanders also didn't mention any such incidents."

Comment: So all it takes is one ambitious, unscrupulous, well-timed news reader to say exactly the thing that will trigger millions towards an agenda of domination and carnage.

800+ legal scholars say Israel may be perpetrating 'crime of genocide' in Gaza

"The ongoing and imminent Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip are being conducted with potentially genocidal intent."

More than 800 scholars of international law and genocide have signed a public statement arguing that the Israeli military may be committing genocidal acts against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as the total siege and relentless airstrikes continue to inflict devastation on the occupied territory.

"As scholars and practitioners of international law, conflict studies, and genocide studies, we are compelled to sound the alarm about the possibility of the crime of genocide being perpetrated by Israeli forces against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip," reads the statement. "We do not do so lightly, recognizing the weight of this crime, but the gravity of the current situation demands it."

The scholars noted that Israel's yearslong blockade on Gaza — which has left much of the territory's population impoverished and without access to basic necessities — had previously been described as "slow-motion genocide" and cited a United Nations warning about Israelis' use of dehumanizing language, which is often a prelude to mass atrocities.

Spanish minister denounces Israeli 'genocide' in Gaza

PM Netanyahu should be prosecuted for war crimes, the leader of the Podemos party has said...

Both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas terrorists need to be tried by the International Criminal Court (ICC), Spanish Minister for Social Rights Ione Belarra said on Monday.

"Israel is carrying out a planned genocide" in Gaza by leaving hundreds of thousands of Palestinians without water, food, and electricity, Belarra, who is the leader of Podemos, a junior partner in the ruling coalition, claimed. She further described the move as a serious breach of international law and a possible war crime.

Belarra also accused Israel of "unspeakable hypocrisy" for what she described as using the horrific murders of civilians by Hamas to justify its own atrocities, both in general and against Gaza in particular.

Comment: Suppressed or forgotten, courage and truth have been in short supply.

Thousands of Jewish Americans and allies demand cease-fire in Gaza

"We as American Jews believe that 'never again' means never again for anyone, and that includes Palestinians," said Jewish Voice for Peace.

As the Biden administration's intent to silence dissent against the United States' backing of the Israel Defense Forces' onslaught in Gaza became increasingly clear Friday night, at least 80 Jewish Americans and other supporters of Palestinians' human rights were arrested for protesting outside the homes and offices of a number of Democratic lawmakers, where they demanded the U.S. government join growing calls for a cease-fire.

The U.S. group Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) organized the mass action, along with calling on Americans to contact their representatives in Congress and demand that they speak out against the air assault Israel launched this week in retaliation for Hamas' brutal attack last weekend.

At least 2,215 Palestinians have been killed in airstrikes this week, and at least 8,714 people have been injured. The death toll in Israel has reached 1,300, according to Al Jazeera.

Human rights advocates have warned that a looming ground offensive by the IDF in Gaza could rapidly push civilian casualties far higher.

On Friday, JVP led more than 2,000 protesters in five U.S. cities — New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Seattle — in demanding that senators and members of the U.S. House act to halt the "genocide of Palestinians."
"We as American Jews believe that 'never again' means never again for anyone, and that includes Palestinians."
JVP, referring to the refrain repeated by the Jewish American community regarding the need to prevent genocide: "'Never again' is this very moment."

US facing military recruitment crisis - NYT

The US Marine Corps is among the only branches of Washington's armed forces to have exceeded recruitment objectives...

The US Army, Navy and Air Force are facing shortfalls in recruitment targets this year, as the Pentagon struggles to compete with civilian employment, while up to 77% of young people have been deemed ineligible to enlist, the New York Times said on Tuesday.

By the end of its recruitment year on September 30, the US Army fell short of its target of adding 65,000 people to its ranks, the NYT says, instead ending up with about 50,000 new personnel. It is the third successive year that the army has not met its goal, prompting military bosses to cut unfilled positions and shrink its active duty membership to 452,000 from 485,000 in 2021.

The recruitment logjam has created "an existential issue for us," Army Secretary Christine E. Wormuth told reporters this month, even as some branches of the military relax recruitment standards and even offer financial compensation of up to $75,000 to join.

Comment: Hard-pressed to see the 'void' of recruitment as a 'logjam'.

Fauci says threats from 'extreme radical right' justify his taxpayer-funded chauffeur and security detail

The "retired" NIAID chief continues to benefit from public assistance, in an arrangement that costs taxpayers millions of dollars, but remains hidden from scrutiny.

Every time Anthony Fauci leaves home, he is driven by a publicly funded chauffeur and escorted by a fully staffed U.S. Marshals taxpayer-funded security detail. Despite claiming that he is retired from government work, the exorbitant costs of his lifestyle are paid for by the American taxpayer, through a secretive arrangement that has yet to be publicized. In a new interview, Fauci said the costs are necessary and justified because of threats he has received from the "extreme radical right."

In a new interview with Newshub, Anthony Fauci elaborated on the supposed necessity of him receiving these perks, which includes, as The Dossier has reported, a taxpayer-funded, 24/7 chauffeur and a full time U.S. Marshals security detail.

Fauci's taxpayer-funded detail is estimated to cost the American taxpayer around $1 million dollars per month, according to comparable previous security details. The "retired" National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) chief reportedly remains on staff via a no show job at the NIH, so that he can receive his U.S. Marshals security detail without paying for it himself.

A former British diplomat and human rights activist has been detained under the country's counterterrorism laws after declaring support for the people of Palestine and criticizing Israel's atrocities against them.

Craig Murray was detained on Monday under the UK's so-called Prevention of Terrorism Act after he returned from a trip to Iceland. Before his arrest, he had taken part in a pro-Palestinian protest outside Iceland's parliament building.

In another X post on Sunday, Murray had clearly indicated his support for Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, and the Lebanese Hezbollah movement.
"...in the coming Gaza genocide, every act of armed resistance by Hamas and Hezbollah will have my support. If that is a crime, send me back to jail," he said.

BBC takes six reporters off air over 'pro-Palestine' stance

British state broadcaster BBC has launched an investigation into six reporters and a freelance contributor working for its Arabic service over allegedly exhibiting anti-Israel bias and cheering attacks by the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

The probe is related to the journalists' social media activities, namely liking and reposting pro-Palestinian content and criticism of Israel. The online conduct of BBC employees is covered by BBC's 'impartiality' rules.

According to British media reports, the offensive posts, all of which have been taken down, included descriptions of Hamas as "freedom fighters" and the group's surprise attack on Israel as a "morning of hope" for Palestine.

While the staff reporters have not been formally suspended as of yet, only put off-air, the corporation has already parted ways with the freelance contributor, who had been working with the outlet since early October.
