Blue cities contemplate mask bans

Blue cities across the US are contemplating banning masks. A few years ago these cities would not allow people to enter public establishments without a mask. But now, after Soros-backed DAs blindfolded themselves to the drastic uptick in crime, cities such as Philadelphia, Atlanta, and New York are banning face masks to prevent criminals from evading police.

Balaclavas or ski masks have become a popular fashion accessory among urban youth. Far-left fashion publication Vogue even published an article in February 2023 entitled, "All the Cool Kids Are Wearing Balaclavas." If someone walked into the bank with a ski mask on, it would have been considered a threat. Now, civil rights groups claim that these masks represent freedom of expression.

UK facing food shortages & more price rises as Panama Canal drought worsens

British consumers are facing shortages and price rises for fruit, vegetables and other fresh produce into the New Year due to the worsening drought on the Panama Canal.

Falling water levels on the vital trade route between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans have led to a drastic reduction in the number of vessels able to pass through the canal, with dozens of ships forced to queue for weeks to secure a passage.

Comment: Meanwhile the West's destablisation campaign in the Middle East threatens the world's/the West's other major shipping routes: Israeli shipping firm forced to take route with double journey time after repeated attacks on vessels

Notably, in November of this year, the world's largest shipping company was already preparing to cut 10,000 jobs amidst plummeting demand in global trade, and forecasts that this would drag on for a number of years.

Danish police arrest several people suspected of planning terror attacks, EU warns of Christmas attack threat

denmark terror press
It comes only two days after the Netherlands announced it raised its terrorism threat level to 'substantial'

Danish police detained several people on Thursday on suspicion of preparing terrorist attacks.

The arrests were made in coordinated operations across the country, police said.

Authorities haven't specified the number of arrests, however a press briefing scheduled for 13.00CET is expected to give more details.

Comment: It's telling that during the nearly two-year-long establishment enforced lockdowns, these terrorist networks were nowhere to be seen. However now, just as Israel accelerates its genocide of Palestinians, and with full-backing of the West they escalate their destabilisation campaign in the Middle East, there's a sudden resurgence of 'Islamic terrorism' throughout Europe.

It's all the more suspect because a number of these incidents have demonstrable links to the establishment: 1 tourist dead after Paris knife attack, assailant was known by authorities for terrorist plans & radical Islam views

Zara regrets campaign 'misunderstanding' after Gaza boycott ensues

zara boycott gaza bombing
Zara's utterly oblivious holiday campaign amidst the bombing of Gaza
Fashion brand Zara withdrew an ad campaign featuring statues wrapped in white that sparked calls for a boycott and protests outside stores by some pro-Palestinian activists, saying on Tuesday that it regretted the "misunderstanding".

People left tens of thousands of complaints about the campaign on Zara's Instagram account, saying the images resembled photos of corpses in white shrouds in Gaza. "#BoycottZara" trended on messaging platform X.

Zara's announcement illustrates the challenge for global brands navigating the sensitivities around the Gaza war. Zara is the first major Western brand to take such a drastic step after criticism for what some saw as insensitive advertising.

Comment: Even if the original artistic intent was exactly what Zara said it was, common sense should have told the advertising managers the images were too close to the horrific ones coming daily out of Gaza. They should have never been published.

As it was, retaliation was instant and brutal:

A House Republican representing part of New York City says she has "smoking gun" proof that city officials are trying to help get illegal immigrants registered to vote, something the city has staunchly denied.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, R-N.Y., announced on Sunday that she had obtained a copy of a contract between New York City's Department of Social Services and Homes for the Homeless, a nonprofit that has been contracted to build emergency migrant shelters as the border crisis depletes the city's resources.

In an appendix of that contract, a copy of which was obtained by Fox News Digital, the city appears to require contractors to provide copies of voter registration forms for migrants at their shelters, Malliotakis said.

Malliotakis said at a press conference in Staten Island:
"This is the smoking gun that proves what we've been saying all along, that the city intends to register noncitizens to vote, and even those who are residing in these migrant shelters for just 30 days. It is extremely concerning. It should be concerning to every citizen."
The city has denied that it requires migrant shelters to provide voter registration information to illegal immigrants.

Comment: What they say and what they do can be two completely different agendas.

The former president leads Ron DeSantis among likely Iowa caucusgoers, 51% to 19%, with Nikki Haley at 16%.

Former President Donald Trump has expanded his lead over his GOP rivals with five weeks until the first Republican presidential nominating contest, now earning 51% first-choice support from likely Iowa caucusgoers, according to the latest NBC News/Des Moines Register/Mediacom poll.

Trump's lead — the largest recorded so close to a competitive Republican caucus in this Iowa poll's history — is fueled by majorities of evangelical and first-time likely caucusgoers, as well as by nearly three-quarters of Republicans who believe Trump can defeat President Joe Biden next year despite the legal challenges the former president faces.

What's more, the poll finds the former president enjoying more enthusiasm and commitment from his supporters than his rivals do ahead of the Jan. 15 contest in Iowa.

Only 35% of EU citizens want further expansion - poll

A large share of EU citizens are skeptical about the bloc's future enlargement, with many seeing no economic benefit to Ukraine's potential membership, according to a poll conducted for the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR).

The survey, carried out by Yougov and Datapraxis in six EU countries (Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Poland, and Romania) and released on Tuesday, found that 35% of respondents are in favor of the EU admitting new states right away, while 37% are opposed. The rest either don't know or are indifferent.

There is a noticeable difference in how the core EU countries and relative newcomers view potential expansion. In Romania and Poland, 51% and 48%, respectively, want the bloc to expand, while only 28% of Germans and Austrians, and 27% of the French support the idea. 53% of Austrians, 50% of Germans and 44% of the French oppose adding new member states to the bloc.

The mayor of the Montreal suburb of Hampstead Jeremy Levi has said that, regardless of the number of children's lives taken, he would continue to support Israel in its ongoing offensive in Gaza.

More than 18,200 people have so far died in the nine-week bombardment of Gaza, health officials in the besieged enclave said on Monday, as Israel's retaliatory campaign in response to Hamas' October 7 cross-border attack continues at pace. Israeli officials say that 1,147 of its citizens were killed in the October assault, while another 240 were seized as hostages.

But as international condemnation of Israel's siege of Gaza swells, Levi - who was elected last year to govern the predominantly Jewish Hampstead community - has said that Israel's military offensive must continue until "good" prevails over "evil."

"I'm not calling for a ceasefire," Levi said in a video posted to social media on Monday by Yves Engler, a vocal critic of Israel. "I want the hostages home, but I'm not calling for a ceasefire."

The mayor added about the increasing death toll in Gaza, particularly deaths of children: "I would never support [the killing of children], it's terrible. But Israel has to do whatever they have to do to protect the security of their own people."

Economist Javier Milei assumes Argentina's presidency on Sunday.

Argentina on Tuesday announced a sharp devaluation of its currency and cuts to energy and transportation subsidies as part of shock measures new President Javier Milei says are needed to deal with an economic emergency.

Economy Minister Luis Caputo said in a televised message the Argentine peso will be devalued by 50% to 800 to the U.S. dollar from 400 pesos to the dollar.

"For a few months, we're going to be worse than before," Caputo said, two days after the libertarian Milei was sworn in as president of the second largest economy in South America and immediately warned of tough measures.

Milei has said the country didn't have time to consider other alternatives.

Comment: The fruits of the West's shock doctrine are well known - Argentina has already tried it:

Best of the Web: Israeli exodus: 500,000 flee country since October 7, many seek to relocate to Europe

israel airport
Since October 7, data from the Population and Immigration Authority reveals that Israelis that approximately 370,000 Israelis have left the country with the latest update spanning to the end of November. According to the statistics, Israelis are increasingly seeking refuge abroad, particularly in Europe, with a growing interest in purchasing real estate across several European countries.

Israeli economic newspaper, "The Marker" highlighted that Isreali families have been showing keen interest in buying real estate and homes abroad since October 7. By the end of October, about 230,309 Israelis immigrated, while an additional 139,839 left during November, according to the data and in tandem with Israel's Ministry of Interior, Jo24 reported.

Comment: A number of analysts predicted that this would happen, highlighting that a significant number of Israelis weren't born in the country, and even those that were have extensive family networks in nations across the West.

Since there's no reason to believe that Israel's pathocrats will desist in their aggression any time soon, one can presume that the number of those leaving will continue to increase; which is a luxury the indigenous Palestinians don't have.
