Fruitcake Minnie Driver claims men can't understand what abuse is like

The actor Minnie Driver has told the Guardian that men "simply cannot understand what abuse is like on a daily level" and should not therefore attempt to differentiate or explain sexual misconduct against women.

Driver was discussing comments by Matt Damon, whom she once dated and with whom she starred in the Oscar-winning 1997 film Good Will Hunting. In an interview with ABC News this week, Damon said alleged sexual misconduct by powerful men involved "a spectrum of behaviour".

Damon said there was "a difference between patting someone on the butt and rape or child molestation. Both of those behaviours need to be confronted and eradicated without question, but they shouldn't be conflated."

Comment: As it happens, there are quite a few men who understand the reality of daily abuse: And with the #MeToo movement growing increasingly hysterical having morphed into a warlock hunt, men are rightfully feeling abused:

America is like the old Catholic church, and RT is her Martin Luther

Martin Luther
It was in October 1517, exactly 500 years ago, that he nailed his famous list of complaints to the cathedral door
In the early 16th century a revolution in consciousness occurred that would have profound implications for the future of Europe. The revolution began in Holland and would spread to Germany where Martin Luther began a rebellion against the religious establishment.

In the 16th C. social consciousness was religious in nature whereas nowadays social consciousness is primarily political in nature. The Church - or more accurately the Holy Roman Empire - ruled over a large area of Europe by means of mind control. That is - what people thought was dictated by religious dogma communicated on a regular basis by the Church. Information and truth came via priests creating the narrative of the time just as mainstream journalists act as the voice of authority and truth nowadays.

In Europe, beliefs, values and ideas were largely unquestioned for centuries. Those who did question were easily dealt with. That changed when Erasmus and Luther not only questioned the authority of the dogma, but became popular in the process.

Water companies in UK refuse permission for crematoriums to flush liquefied body remains down their drains

A council's plan to offer an eco-friendly alternative to cremation by liquefying the dead has hit a blockage after water companies refused permission for flushing the remains down the drain.

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council in the west Midlands has approved the installation of a £300,000 "Resomator" for water cremations at its Rowley Regis crematorium.

The process, known as alkaline hydrolysis, uses chemicals, heat, and pressure to dissolve bodies to bone in less than three hours and uses significantly less energy than cremation.

Manufacturers say this is simply a sped-up version of the decomposition that takes place with a burial and the liquid remnants are tested and filtered before being flushed into the water supply.

However Severn Trent Water has refused the crematorium's request for a "trade effluent" permit which would be necessary for disposing of body remnants into the water supply, The Sunday Times reports.

The water sector is now waiting on guidance from the Ministry of Justice and Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs before to set out how alkaline hydrolysis remains should be disposed of.

Speculation surrounding the death of a US commando in Niger is unfounded, according to an AP report. Sgt. La David T. Johnson died from multiple gunshot wounds sustained from long range in the African country last October.

He was one of four American troops killed during an ambush in Niger on October 4. Their deaths drew attention to the fact that the US had a military presence in the African nation, which surprised some lawmakers.

Johnson's body was not found in the immediate aftermath of the attack, which caused speculation about the circumstances of his death. The Pentagon is currently preparing a report on the incident, but some US officials have apparently decided to address the speculation by sharing advance details of the report with the Associated Press.

Women's March organizer Linda Sarsour accused of bullying woman and covering up sex abuse

Linda Sarsour

Controversial Muslim activist and Women's March organizer Linda Sarsour bullied an underling to cover up sex-abuse allegations in her Brooklyn office, a report said.

Asmi Fathelbab told blog The Daily Caller that a man repeatedly rubbed his crotch on her while she worked for the association under Sarsour in 2009.

But when Fathelbab reported the abuse, Sarsour - a self-proclaimed feminist and co-founder of the Women's March organization - fat-shamed the woman and threatened to blacklist her from political jobs, the woman told the website.

Comment: Linda Sarsour, a supposed Muslim activist, has already proven herself to be a sharia-supporting, Saudi Arabia-defending, "moderate-rebel"-loving, regime-change-supporting fanatic. So it's no surprise that her feminist cover is a sham as well.

Brutish cop still earns six-figures after being filmed beating a handcuffed man

police assault
If you are a police officer in the ostensible land of the free, you can beat, harass, kidnap, and even kill innocent people-including children-and never face consequences for your actions. As the following case illustrates, police can even be caught on video torturing their restrained victims and go on to collect six-figure salaries as public servants.

Officer Charles Caruso is a bad cop and has no business carrying a badge and a gun. This is an indisputable fact as he was caught on video severely beating a non-violent and handcuffed man. However, because America refuses to hold police accountable, this threat to society still carries that badge.

Shaymond Michelson learned the hard way just how bad of a cop Caruso was. In 2014, Michelson made the terrible decision to drive drunk. He was subsequently arrested for DUI and booked into jail.

Instead of simply locking the inebriated Michelson in a cell and processing him for his crime, however, Caruso took it upon himself to inflict pain and suffering on the Navy veteran.

The Progress in International Reading Literacy Study - known as PIRLS - shows Northern Ireland in joint sixth place, with England in joint eighth.

Both Northern Ireland and England have reached their highest point scores in reading tests taken in 50 countries.

Russia takes the top place in this international education league table, based on tests taken every five years.

The Republic of Ireland, in fourth, is second only to Russia among European countries.

Girls are ahead of boys in almost every country taking the tests.

Geoff Barton, leader of the ASCL head teachers' union, praised the work of schools in England and Northern Ireland and said the results reflected "the huge focus that schools have placed on the teaching of reading over the course of many years".

Student loan debt relief has stalled; defrauded borrowers stuck in limbo

Everest College

Tens of thousands of students who applied for debt forgiveness have been left waiting to hear whether their claims have been approved or denied, according to a report released this week by the Department of Education's Office of Inspector General.

Under a federal guideline known as "borrower defense to repayment," the Education Department can forgive federal student loans when a college or university is found to have engaged in predatory behavior.

From the time this statute took effect in 1995 through mid-2015, the Department of Education received just five claims for federal student loan forgiveness. But with the collapse of major for-profit college chains like Corinthian Colleges and ITT Technical starting in 2015, thousands of students found themselves unemployable or with incomplete degrees - as well as deeply in debt.

Many of these students would go on to seek debt relief from the Obama administration. From June 2015 to January 2017, the Department of Education received more than 72,000 borrower defense claims. More than 31,000 were ultimately approved by the Obama administration, with roughly half of all approvals coming in the final month of his presidency.

Comment: Even though close to 6 million borrowers are in default the student loan business is a cash cow and debt forgiveness won't be obtained without a serious fight.

What 'white privilege'? No one has been prosecuted in Justine Ruszczyk's death

Justine Ruszczyk Damond police shooting
Justine Ruszczyk Damond
It sure sounded like a cut-and-dry case. A woman bent over, conversing with police at the driver's side window when the officer in the passenger seat pulled his weapon and shot her. It horrified Americans and spun the whole debate over #BlackLivesMatter on its head, all because Ruszczyk was white.

Months later, no one has been charged in what seemed like the biggest slam dunk out there.

Why?

Well, believe it or not, there's not enough evidence.
