Israeli military detains 10 members of Tamimi family, including cousin they previously shot in the face

Nebi Saleh
In the middle of the night on Monday, around 3 a.m., the Israeli military raided the central occupied West Bank village of Nabi Saleh in full force, a common occurrence for the village's internationally-recognized residents, the Tamimi family, who have seen several family members - a large portion of them minors - arrested from the village in the past few months.

On Monday alone, Israeli forces detained 10 members of the extended Tamimi family, including five minors between the ages of 14-17, a 19-year-old, and the rest between the rest between 21 and 29 years of age, according to the Palestinian Prisoner's Society.

Among the detainees was 15-year-old Muhammad Tamimi, who is scheduled to have reconstructive surgery on his skull on March 5th. Muhammad was released later Monday afternoon.

Horrific body cam footage shows cop kill unarmed man execution style

After a police officer claimed he shot and killed a man because he refused to drop his gun, Body Cam footage has been released that shows the man was on his knees and his hands were empty when the officer shot him three times in the back.

Shaleem Tindle, 28, was killed by a Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) police officer on Jan. 3, and while a short clip of the Body Cam footage was released by his family recently, the full video was released by police this week.

The initial claim made by Officer Joseph Mateu was that he was at the West Oakland BART station when he heard gunshots. He ran out of the station and across the street, which is shown in the footage from his Body Camera, and he confronted two men who were in a scuffle on the ground.

France is first to force supermarkets to give unsold food to needy - this is how it works

waste food

Supermarkets in France that throw away edible food are breaking the law.

Giving left over food to charities, once an act of good will, is now a requirement under a 2016 law, and stores can be fined $4,500 (£3,224) for each violation.

At the time of the signing in of the law in 2016, Jacques Bailet from Banques Alimentaires, a network of food banks, told the Guardian:

The US Department of State has announced a new campaign to counter "propaganda and disinformation" from foreign nations

Washington.- The US Department of State has announced a new campaign to counter "propaganda and disinformation" from foreign nations as part of a partnership with the Department of Defense. The two parties have signed a memorandum of agreement "to transfer $40 million from the Department of Defense to the Department of State's Global Engagement Center (GEC) in fiscal year 2018 for initiatives to counter propaganda and disinformation from foreign nations," the Department of State said on Monday.

Bristol: Parent backlash as cross-dressing men 'promote tolerance' in primary schools

Parents have hit out at a Bristol primary school's decision to bring "drag queens" in to condition young children against "hate crime".

Concerned families told the Bristol Post that Parson Street Primary School was going a "step too far" in inviting Drag Queen Story Time (DQST) to read books promoting alternative lifestyles to their children.

"Lots of parents at the school are not happy about it but the headmaster says there's no negotiation. He said if we don't like it we should take our kids out of school on an unauthorised absence," a mother who wished to remain anonymous told the newspaper.

"There are books dotted around the school about sexuality, they learn a lot about LGBTQ+ in school and that's fine.

Comment: Children between ages 4 and 11 do not need to be exposed to this kind of information which is complicated to understand even for adults. And no, this is not an "art form" as Mr Canham says, and it does not promote "tolerance". Quite the contrary! It is propaganda from a minority imposed on the majority, and because the majority resents propaganda being shoved on their children's faces, it will result in exactly the opposite of tolerance. Well done postmodern social justice advocates!

Most detainees have criminal records that include DUI, aggravated assault with deadly weapon, say ICE officials

A massive sweep in Texas this month resulted in 145 arrests, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials.

It is the latest sign that President Donald Trump's administration is ramping up interior immigration enforcement.

ICE agents targeted illegal immigrants who either had criminal convictions or had re-entered the United States after they were previously deported. The raids focused on south and central Texas.

Of the 145 people arrested, 86 individuals had criminal convictions, while 39 were arrested based on previous immigration encounters, according to ICE. Four of the individuals have pending criminal charges. Twenty of those arrested had no prior encounters with the agency, ICE authorities said.

Last week LifeZette reported that University of Vermont staffer John Mejia had gone on a hunger strike in support of the Black Lives Matter group.

Burlington-based Seven Days, an alternative weekly newspaper, is now reporting that Mejia has ended his all-water diet.

"I started this hunger strike because I wanted people who are supposedly our leaders to care. I wanted them to stop for a second, and they haven't," Mejia told a group of students at UVM's Davis Center late Friday morning, where protesters were staging a sit-in.

It turns out, though, that "caring" is a one-way street for UVM activists.

Comment: It's funny that the BLM movement, which started from a just cause of wanting to end racism by police, has morphed into a snowflake movement divorced from reality, where racism is literally everywhere and white people are essentially subhuman. As long as institutions keep giving in to their completely unreasonable demands, those demands will keep escalating. See:

A respected Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) official who worked on the Ebola and Zika outbreaks has disappeared without a trace. He was last seen leaving work midway through the day, saying he was feeling ill.

The Harvard-educated epidemiologist and US Navy officer Timothy J. Cunningham, 35, has been missing since February 12, when he left work after saying he was feeling unwell.

His parents became concerned when he wouldn't answer any texts or calls. They drove all the way from Maryland to Atlanta, Georgia, after some relatives went by and saw his house was empty and two windows were open. Inside the house, they found Cunningham's phone, wallet and driver's license. His car was still parked in the garage and his dog, Mr. Bojangles, aka Beau, was left on his own.
