The excruciating quandary President Trump presents to the nation is dragging the sad remnant of the thinking class ever-deeper into a netherworld of desperation, paranoia, and mendacity that may exceed even their own official fantasies about the enemy in the White House.

Everything about the lumbering, blundering occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue drives his Dem/Prog opponents - or #Resistance, if you will - plumb batshit: his previous incarnations as a shady NYC real estate schmeikler, as a TV clown, as a business deadbeat, as a self-described pussy-grabber... his vulgar casinos, his mystifying hair-do, his baggy suits and dangling neckties, his arrant, childish, needless lying about trivialities, his intemperate tweets, his unappetizing associates, his loutish behavior in foreign lands, his fractured, tortured syntax, his obvious insincerity, his sneery facial contortions... and lots lots more - and of course that doesn't even touch the actual policy positions he struggles to articulate. In sum, Trump represents such a monumentally grotesque embarrassment to the permanent Washington establishment that they will pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the removal of this odious caitiff.

And in the process abandon all reason and decency.

Comment: Mr. Kunstler might want to consider that his litany of complaints about Trump may be the result of the images served up by a hostile media. The so-called #Resistance is really the machinations of the Deep State/MIC that would have continued unimpeded had Killary been elected. President Trump was elected on a platform of no more nation building, rapprochement with Russia, and a focus on domestic affairs, which includes getting a grip on illegal immigration. His private demeanor is much different.

Monica Lewinsky now believes her affair with former President Bill Clinton started with "a gross abuse of power" in the wake of the #MeToo sexual misconduct movement,

"I am in awe of the sheer courage of the women who have stood up and begun to confront entrenched beliefs and institutions," Lewinsky wrote in Vanity Fair ahead of the 20th anniversary this March of independent counsel Ken Starr's investigation which expanded to include her relationship with president.

Lewinsky argued "something fundamentally changed in our society in 1998," when the affair first came to light, "and it is changing again as we enter in the second year of the Trump presidency."

But she acknowledged she was still unsure where she "fit in personally" within the movement.

"There are many more women and men whose voices and stories need to be heard before mine," Lewinsky continued. "There are even some people who feel my White House experiences don't have a place in this movement, as what transpired between Bill Clinton and myself was not sexual assault, although we now recognize that it constituted a gross abuse of power."

Comment: Women tend to be attracted to men who are above them on the hierarchy of success. In other words, men who have power. Thus the other side of the equation also tends to be true: men tend to attract women below them in the power hierarchy. What #MeToo has done is to pathologize this aspect of basic human sexuality. Actually, it pathologizes only the men's role, painting all women in this dynamic as passive, innocent victims of men's patriarchal power.

Lewinsky admits that she didn't see anything wrong with her consensual relationship with Bill at the time. It's only in retrospect that she sees it as an "abuse of power" on his part, and a "gross" one at that. No mention of her role in their adulterous relationship, her attraction to his success, and her willingness to consent. It takes two to tango in a consensual relationship.

The net result of all this? Anytime a subordinate woman "gets" a successful, powerful man, it is an abuse of power on the man's part. Full stop. Female hypergamy has nothing to do with it. And that pretty much makes the majority of men guilty.

In 2014, Louis Hilaire, age 25, was hunted down on Facebook by an old girlfriend. She said she was looking for him. They went out and the two ended up in a sexual tryst. She told him about a motel room filled with goods that she wanted him to rob.

Hilaire had been in prison for robbery and declined at first. He was trying to keep his nose clean, according to his lawyer.

The girlfriend talked him into it. She begged him to do it to help out the housekeeper friend. She told him the housekeeper would give him the key to a room as long as she gets a cut.

He robbed the place, following the Sheriff's peeps directions. They told him, don't forget the safe, which had a gun in it. That allowed them to charge him with weapons violations when he was arrested by Sheriff Israel's deputies.

Video shows cop taking Vietnam veteran's walker and knocking him unconscious

A video was shared with the Free Thought Project this week which has caused a firestorm of backlash after it showed an elderly Vietnam veteran, who uses a walker to get around, being knocked unconscious by a federal officer at the Phoenix Social Security Administration building.

The video has since taken off online prompting thousands of calls for the officer to be fired. It was so over the top that the Free Thought Project has confirmed that the Phoenix police have an open assault investigation into the incident.

In the disturbing video, we can see the massive officer force the man up and in a highly unprofessional profanity-laced tirade, he begins shoving and pushing the man out of the office lobby. Exactly what the man had done to provoke the response remains to be seen. However, he was sitting down and had to use a walker to move around so he was clearly no threat.

Speaking to journalist and author Jon Ronson on his podcast The Butterfly Effect, the boss - known only as Brent - said that sites like PornHub and RedTube have raised the bar on what is seen as attractive to the point that they don't find real women sexy anymore.

"Part of the success for our company has been the overuse of pornography," he said. "I've had a couple of customers who have said, 'I go to the bar and take a girl home at 3am and she's a little fatter than I'd like her to be or she's not as cute'.

"So they turn to the doll because the doll can be put in the position they want."

He has spent the last ten years transforming himself. Tattooing most of his skin black with several coats of ink, dying his eyes and implanting stretchers in his nose and under his bottom lip. The process is far from finished, but the result is striking.

Eli's obsession with body modification started from a young age after his uncle came back from Spain with a huge tribal tattoo.

A multitude of companies have severed ties with the NRA by bowing to mob outrage - and that's exactly why NRA members should boycott back.

In the days following the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, millions of Americans have placed blame on the National Rifle Association because the organization advocates for the Second Amendment and against firearm restrictions.

Now, companies who previously had relationships with the NRA are ending them after strong backlash from anti-NRA advocates who are placing pressure on the companies by threatening to boycott them if they don't comply.

The nation's largest association of women's studies professors will host a conference dedicated to "socialist feminism" and "feminist scholarship" in November.

The National Women's Studies Association (NWSA) conference--"Imagining Justice: Feminist visions of freedom, dream making, and the radical politics of futures"--will take place at the Hilton Atlanta from November 8-11, where attendees will explore themes such as the "post-capitalist future" offered by socialism, anarchism, and communism.

"What are the alternatives to capitalist organization of society? What possibilities do socialism, anarchism, and communism offer?"

Founded in 1997, the NWSA boasts of more than 2,350 academic members and aims to promote a "just world" that is "free from ideologies, systems of privilege, or structures that oppress or exploit some for the advantage of others."


Comment: Feminists don't want to eliminate systems of privilege or ideologies. They just want to be the ones who control such things. They have created an imaginary world where all white men hold power, and are now using that illusion to justify using force and violence to put themselves in power.

The Israeli cabinet has approved the construction of 350 new settler units in the occupied West Bank irrespective of an international outcry against the Tel Aviv regime's settlement expansion policies in Palestinian lands.

The units will be built at Netiv Ha'avot settlement, which is located south of the West Bank city of Bethlehem.

Addressing the cabinet ahead of its weekly meeting on Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon and other senior authorities for their efforts in earmarking the funds, which required corresponding cuts to various offices.

The deputy head of the lower house committee for family affairs has promised to amend existing legislation targeting sex crime with a separate bill. Gender equality at work would be enforced and sexual harassment punished.

MP Oksana Pushkina (United Russia) told the RBC news site that in her view sexual harassment was very widespread in society and legislation did not match the level of the problem. She noted that the existing criminal code contains articles dealing with rape and 'coercion into sexual activities' though the latter is hardly ever applied. "Responsibility for sexual harassment is not regulated in any way. In most cases women who face sexual harassment remain silent," the lawmaker said, adding that the victims' only recourse is to quit their jobs.

Comment: Luckily some Russian MPs still have their sanity:
Russian legislation hardly needs legal clarification of the term "harassment," while flirting at work rarely turns into an "extreme" form of pressure on subordinates. This was stated by a deputy of the Committee of the Federation Council on Constitutional Legislation, Elena Afanasyeva.

Earlier, the State Duma was informed that they need to work out a legal definition for the term "harassment" and introduce it into legislation.

"You can not go overboard here, otherwise each flirtation will end with a lawsuit, and it's much more pleasant to look at smiling men and women than at those who will hide their eyes, fearing a court lawsuit," Afanasyeva told RIA Novosti.

According to the deputy, the problem of sexual harassment at work is sometimes exaggerated by society - for example, she herself has never encountered misconduct in 25 years of her work, although her bosses have always been men.

"Women who come to see me as a deputy sometimes tell me about such cases, but, as a rule, they speak of this as a feature of general male mentality (toward a group of women, for example), without experiencing any particular discomfort themselves," she said.

"In addition, one must know the mentality of Russian women - they will not be afraid to stand up for themselves if they consider that their rights are somehow violated," the committee's deputy chairman said.
