Deep-pocket donors cut off Biden, prepare PACs to fund 'mini-primary' and new candidate

On Saturday, a fifth Democratic member of Congress called for embattled, enfeebled President Biden to quit the 2024 presidential race. Minnesota Rep. Angie Craig also became the first incumbent in a tight race to do so, saying, "I do not believe that the President can effectively campaign and win against Donald Trump."

Coupled with reports that Senate intelligence committee chair Mark Warner is point man in a drive to organize Senate Democrats into a united front urging Biden to quit, the political pressure is clearly mounting. However, Biden is also under rapidly-rising pressure along a second front, as major Democratic donors are not only telling him to quit, but are closing their checkbooks -- or creatively using them to pave the way for a new candidate.

The trio, at their first summit since taking power in military coups, adopted a joint statement for a treaty to set up the confederation.

"This summit marks a decisive step for the future of our common space. Together, we will consolidate the foundations of our true independence, a guarantee of true peace and sustainable development through the creation of the 'Alliance of Sahel States' Confederation,'" Capt. Whatsapp is spyware — Musk

Meta's messaging service is not secure, the tech billionaire has said

Elon Musk, owner of X (formerly Twitter), has again attacked WhatsApp over its handling of personal data.

On Saturday, Musk commented on a post on X, in which a user asked: "If WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted, why am I seeing ads for a bag out of the blue?"

The entrepreneur offered a short answer to the question, saying: "Because it's spyware."

Comment: The discussion is not new. While many social media services are free, in the grander scheme of things there is nothing for free, and the services have to be paid for in some way. From other articles, Founder of Telegram says US government wanted 'backdoor' to app, and Telegram CEO issues warning about WhatsApp security the impression is that it is unlikely that a service like Whatsapp does not allow some degree of access for the most interested parties. The extend to which different services are affected may vary, and in spite of what providers say, one can not take privacy for granted.

At the moment, there are 42 other articles on SOTT that have Whatsapp in the title, if anyone is interested in the history of the security of Whatsapp.

Canada yesterday; Germany today; the whole of the West tomorrow.

It's only a matter of time until de-banking political opponents becomes standard operating procedure in the United States — bastion of Democracy™ that it is.

Via European Conservative (emphasis added):
"German bank Berliner Volksbank has closed the donation account of the right-wing antiglobalist opposition party Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) following a petition by a group calling itself Grandmothers Against the Right (Omas gegen Rechts).

The group launched their petition in May, stating that the bank, which claims to stand for tolerance and against right-wing extremism, should not be allowed to accommodate an account for the AfD. The organisation handed over 33,500 signatures to the bank on Wednesday, July 3rd, to demand the termination of the account, and after meeting the chairman of the board of directors, Carsten Jung, Grandmothers Against the Right announced that their venture has been successful."

Comment: The technique made famous by the tyrannical infant Justin Trudeau is unfortunately, an extremely powerful one and its use is spreading.

US Democratic donors urge Biden to step aside - WaPo

protest

Frustration is growing among key backers, a week after the president's disastrous debate with Donald Trump.

A group of 168 Democratic Party supporters, including major donors and academics, sent a letter to US President Joe Biden on Friday, urging him to drop his bid for reelection, the Washington Post has reported, citing anonymous sources. Over the past week, several other media outlets have claimed that pressure on Biden is mounting from within the party, but the incumbent is digging in his heels.

Doubts over whether the 81-year-old is mentally and physically capable of leading the country for another four years have grown since his halting performance in a televised debate against Republican rival Donald Trump last week. Biden appeared frail and confused throughout the encounter - something he and his campaign have put down to a cold and travel-related fatigue.

In its article on Friday, the Post quoted the letter as "respectfully" calling on Biden to "withdraw from being a candidate for reelection for the sake of our democracy and the future of our nation."

The plea cited "threats posed by a second term of Donald Trump" and advised Biden to "cement your legacy by passing the torch - just as George Washington did."

Western mercenaries killed Russian POWs - German medic

The field doctor, who worked in Ukraine, described to the New York Times the executions of several prisoners of war.

Members of the 'Chosen Company', an international mercenary group fighting on behalf of Ukraine, have engaged in apparent war crimes by killing wounded or surrendering Russian soldiers, the New York Times has reported, citing a German battlefield medic.

In an article published on Saturday, the paper detailed an account from Caspar Grosse, a former German soldier who served as a medic for the unit and allegedly witnessed the events.

He described an incident in August 2023, when a severely injured and unarmed Russian soldier, initially presumed dead, crawled out of a trench saying "help" and "surrender" in English, only to be shot in the chest by a member of the unit. The Russian was still "breathing and wiggling around" when another fighter "just shot him in the head," which Grosse assumed was a "mercy kill" at that point.

Biden's illegal immigration problem goes from bad to worse as high-profile murders rock US

A slate of high-profile crimes against women, allegedly committed at the hands of illegal migrants, has brought the issue of illegal immigration into sharper focus as the 2024 presidential election draws closer.

The killing of a nursing student in Georgia, the rape and murder of mother of five in Maryland, the strangulation killing of 12-year-old girl in Texas and several other significant local crimes has steadily compiled in recent months, prompting the passage of new legislation at the state level and keeping immigration in the news. The negative headlines have forced President Joe Biden, already dealing with low marks on immigration due to the ongoing border crisis, to remain on the defensive.

Biden was pushed into speaking about one significant murder during his most recent State of the Union speech.

UK's military horses bolt through London AGAIN, regiment source says frequency of spooking incidents is unprecedented

horses london
© @Davenoisome/PA WireA black cab driver caught some of the drama on his dashcam. Equine specialist questions whether the animals' behavioural needs are being met and says capital may be overwhelming.

Comment: Note that the latest incident occurred 6 days ago on July 1st. This article was published 4 days afterwards, and it reviews the incident, as well similar ones that occurred previously, and provides some speculation as to the possible causes.

It also occurred just a few days prior to the election of a new UK government, and we're about a year or so into King Charles' reign, which, taken together, could be seen as rather ominous.

The stress of life as a military horse could explain why several of the animals have bolted through London on two occasions in the past three months, an equine expert has suggested.

On Monday three horses from the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment (HCMR) broke loose and ran through central London. Video footage showed one colliding with a car. It is thought one of the horses had been spooked by a bus, causing the other two to unseat their riders and run.

In April, five horses from the regiment bolted during an exercise in Belgravia, apparently after being spooked by rubble being dropped through a plastic tunnel.

Culture minister flashes breasts (GRAPHIC VIDEO)

Norwegian Lubna Jaffery has celebrated receiving the "Fag Hag" award for her support of queers by exposing herself

Norwegian Minister of Culture and Gender Equality Lubna Jaffery has exposed her breasts at an Oslo Pride event, where she was awarded the "Fag Hag 2024" award for her work. The controversial act received praise from the country's top leadership.

Last week, Jaffery was featured on the Skeiv Preik ('Queer Sermon') talk show, affiliated with Oslo Pride, where she was given the prestigious award recognizing her as the top patron of queers.

Comment: The Wiki has:
Lubna Boby Jaffery (born 2 April 1980)[1] is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. She has served as minister of culture and equality since 2023
Born in Norway to parents of Pakistani origin she grew up in Bergen.[2] She took her secondary education in Åsane in 1999, and at the University of Bergen she took the cand.mag. degree in 2004 and the master's degree in 2007.
It is possible the applause from the Prime Minister, and her own choice to make this performance, is in part motivated by her having a Muslim background.

Her FB page shows Jaffery is willing to celebrate whatever comes within the firing range. On April 5, when Norway had decided to spend 52 Billion Euros more on defence over the next 12 years, she wrote:
Our most important job is to keep Norway safe. The government strengthens Norway's defense with 600 billion kroner in the next 12 years, from this year to 2036. That's a historic boost for the Armed Forces. The biggest promise is for the Naval Defense. An important boost for Norway, Western Norway and Bergen. The Navy will get a minimum of five new frigates with anti-submarine helicopters, a minimum of five submarines and a standardized vessel class with up to ten large and eighteen smaller vessels. A historic day and an important day!
Since Norway already spends about 7-8 Billion Euros, the above increase is significant. Celebrating war, along the lines of NATO and the Norwegian Secretary General Stoltenberg has the potential bring back the stone age to Europe which for some could have the consequence that there will be a lot more body to show, not because of decadence, but because there could be little available that can cover. However the perspective, does not register with Ms Jaffery. A few days later, she was celebrating Muslim traditions:
On April 10
Eid Mubarak to all who are celebrating! Today is an important holiday for Norwegian Muslims after a month of fasting, spiruality and solidarity. At the same time, it is a celebration that many have Palestine and Gaza in mind. Rarely has six months been filled with this much pain, anger and sorrow. The government is working with other countries to bring about a ceasefire and ensure enough humanitarian aid into Gaza. I wish everyone a happy celebration!
Lubna Jaffery may be sincere about Gaza and Palestine, but we can't know for sure.

Covid vaccine injuries go mainstream in Australia

Propaganda narratives shift slowly over time to absorb aspects of undeniable reality, whilst minimising damage to the interests of those benefiting from the big lie.

First, the Covid vaccines were safe and effective, and we were set to experience a pandemic of the unvaccinated. Get vaccinated to protect your community!

Next, the shots were safe and effective, but with rare side-effects, mostly mild. Still, the benefits outweighed the risks. Get vaccinated to protect your healthcare system!

In the latest narrative update, experts say all the shots except AstraZeneca's are safe and effective, and they admit that vaccine injuries can be life-ruining, though still very rare. But Covid is worse. Get vaccinated to protect against Long Covid!

In an 'After Covid' Spotlight special on commercial media channel 7NEWS over the weekend, a panel of experts reflected on Australia's Covid response. Tellingly, vaccine safety (or rather, lack thereof) occupied 17 out of a total 53 minutes, more than a quarter of the airtime.

Comment: The vaccine was a con job from beginning. It still is.
