"While members of the French National Assembly and Senate vote for lifting anti-Russian sanctions, French bank Societe Generale, apparently afraid of the United States, closes accounts of not just ordinary Russian nationals, it closes accounts of Russian diplomats," the source said. He added that the bank's policy affected Russian officials working at the UNESCO, as well as Russian mission to France.
Societe Generale has not issued any statement on the issue so far.
