Darryl Williams at USAREUR-AF headquarters at Clay Kaserne in Wiesbaden, Germany, on June 14, 2023. Aguto is reportedly spending extensive time in Kyiv as a war adviser, according to a New York Times report.
A three-star U.S. Army general based in Germany is now spending a lot of time in Kyiv, where he is taking a hands-on role in improving the quality of advice the U.S. is giving to Ukraine's military, according to a New York Times report.

Lt. Gen. Antonio Aguto Jr., who leads the military's security assistance initiative for Ukraine from the U.S. Army's European headquarters in Wiesbaden, is being dispatched to the Ukrainian capital on a rotational basis, the newspaper said Monday.

Col. Martin O'Donnell, a spokesman for U.S. Army Europe and Africa, declined to comment when asked about Aguto's reported travels to Ukraine, citing operational security reasons.

Comment: Back in September, SOTT radio reported: NewsReal: Are Top Western Generals Being Killed in Ukraine?
[...] the notorious neo-Nazi 'Azov Battalion' in May 2022. At the time, Russian-language media cited Russian soldiers on the front-line claiming that they had encountered in the bowels of the 'Azovstal' industrial zone a number of high-level, active-duty, military personnel from the US, Canada, France, the UK and elsewhere in NATO.

[...] the Russian Deputy Ambassador to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyanskiy, in an explosive post on 'X', strongly suggested that THE top general in the French military (at least, until he formally retired in 2010), Jean-Louis Georgelin, along with US Army Major-General Anthony Potts, were among the names of senior Western military figures recently killed 'in the line of duty' while unofficially in Ukraine.
And so it seems that the unofficial direct involvement of Western military staff is now becoming official.

Seeing the response from Biden, bear in mind that Ukraine has not only lost vast swathes of its most profitable territory, but at least 500,000 men have been killed on the battlefield.

Scott Ritter: Why the Pentagon is a multitrillion-dollar fraud

Recently, the Pentagon admitted it couldn't account for trillions of dollars of US taxpayer money, having failed a massive yearly audit for the sixth year running.

The process consisted of the 29 sub-audits of the DoD's various services, and only seven passed this year - no improvement over the last. These audits only began taking place in 2017, meaning that the Pentagon has never successfully passed one.

Comment: This is an on-going theme, even before 2017.

This year's failure made some headlines, was commented upon briefly by the mainstream media, and then just as quickly forgotten by an American society accustomed to pouring money down the black hole of defense spending.

The defense budget of the United States is grotesquely large, its $877 billion dwarfing the $849 billion spent by the next ten nations with the largest defense expenditures. And yet, the Pentagon cannot fully account for the $3.8 trillion in assets and $4 trillion in liabilities it has accrued at US taxpayer expense, ostensibly in defense of the United States and its allies. As the Biden administration seeks $886 billion for next year's defense budget (and Congress seems prepared to add an additional $80 billion to that amount), the apparent indifference of the American collective - government, media, and public - to how nearly $1 trillion in taxpayer dollars will be spent speaks volumes about the overall bankrupt nature of the American establishment.

Hunter's newest criminal indictment shows links to Joe Biden's personal lawyer Mel Monzack, who is authorized to act on the president's behalf in financial matters

Mel Monzack's law firm was listed as the registered agent for Robinson Walker LLC - a company owned by business partner and Biden family friend, Rob Walker

A little-known lawyer has the power to handle all of President Joe Biden's financial and business affairs - and is linked to Hunter Biden's shady Chinese business dealings, documents obtained by DailyMail.com reveal.

Mel Monzack, 83, a close friend of the President, has held Joe's 'power of attorney' since 1987, allowing him to control POTUS's bank accounts and sign financial documents on Joe's behalf.

And DailyMail.com can now reveal that Monzack may also be also linked to Hunter Biden's suspect dealings with Chinese oil giant CEFC - dealings that are now part of a new criminal indictment filed on Thursday.

Monzack was not named in the indictment filed Thursday, nor were any other Hunter associates.

Best of the Web: The Death and Destruction in Gaza

I do not believe that anything I say about what is happening in Gaza will affect Israeli or American policy in that conflict. But I want to be on record so that when historians look back on this moral calamity, they will see that some Americans were on the right side of history.

What Israel is doing in Gaza to the Palestinian civilian population - with the support of the Biden administration - is a crime against humanity that serves no meaningful military purpose. As J-Street, an important organization in the Israel lobby, puts it, "The scope of the unfolding humanitarian disaster and civilian casualties is nearly unfathomable."[1]

Let me elaborate.

First, Israel is purposely massacring huge number of civilians, roughly 70 percent of whom are children and women. The claim that Israel is going to great lengths to minimize civilian casualties is belied by statements from high level Israeli officials. For example, the IDF spokesman said on 10 October 2023 that "the emphasis is on damage and not on accuracy." That same day, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced: "I have lowered all the restraints - we will kill everyone we fight against; we will use every means."[2]

Time for peace talks - former Zelensky adviser

Arestovich

Aleksey Arestovich believes the president's cultivated "hero" persona has locked Kiev into conflict...

Now is the time to start thinking about negotiating peace with Russia, with the situation looking more hopeless on the front line, a former adviser to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has said.

Aleksey Arestovich told Inews that the Zelensky has become a hostage to his own propaganda due to his propensity to "play the hero in parliaments around the world." The former presidential adviser and spokesman, who has fallen out of favor with Kiev, said Zelensky currently "thinks not about the national interest but about his own position."

Arestovich recently announced that he would stand against Zelensky for the presidency, and would campaign on a platform of peace.

With the cost of the war mounting and Kiev's death toll rising to around 300,000, the former adviser said it was past time to start discussing terms for peace:
"For Russia, it's for Ukraine not to join NATO, and for us it is to stop this war. These are great conditions to start a real discussion - not only between Ukraine and Russia - about a new system of collective security in Europe."

Comment: The time for peace talks was before this debacle began, but with 'friends' like the US, peace is never the goal.

Nobody believes Ukraine can restore 1991 borders - US senator

Vance

American leadership is needed to end the fighting instead of writing "blank checks," J.D. Vance says...

The United States needs to accept that Ukraine is going to "cede some territory" to Russia and bring the conflict to a close, Republican Senator J.D. Vance has argued, stressing that it's in the interests of both the US and Ukraine to stop the fighting.

Speaking to CNN's Jake Tapper on the State of the Union show on Sunday, the lawmaker explained why he opposes additional aid to Ukraine, saying it is very unlikely that Kiev will be able to overpower Russia and recover lost land, and that further financial and military assistance will only prolong the conflict.

Vance asked:
"What is $61 billion is going to accomplish that $100 billion has not?" Everybody with a brain in their head" knows that the conflict will end in negotiations.

"The idea that Ukraine was going to throw Russia back to 1991 borders is preposterous. Nobody actually believes it.

"We are getting to a place where we are going to be functionally on the hook to pay for the Ukrainian pensioners, to rebuild the country. The White House should concentrate on bringing the killing to a stop rather than writing more blank checks."
Last Wednesday, the US Senate blocked a $111 billion spending package that included over $60 billion in funding for Kiev, despite President Joe Biden's pleas to pass the bill. Biden accused Republicans of wanting to "literally kneecap Ukraine on the battlefield and damage our national security in the process."

Comment: Biden will not want to quit this war before the election. He will continue billion dollar financial optics to prove necessity...and who knows...gift an influential pocket or two, thus 'own Ukraine'.

With the indictment and inquiry, Democrats now face a moment of maddening truth

House
© UnknownUS House of Representatives
Author Aldous Huxley once said, "you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you mad."

Such a moment of madness has arrived in Congress as members prepare to vote on the formal approval of an impeachment inquiry. The second indictment of Hunter Biden shattered long-standing denials and narratives repeated by the White House and members of Congress. What is left in its wake is now plain to the public: corruption.

The vote is not whether to impeach President Biden, but whether members support the investigation into these growing allegations of corruption by the Biden family. According to recent polling, nearly 70 percent of voters (and 40 percent of Democrats) believe that Biden has acted unlawfully or unethically or both. Yet with almost half of the Democratic Party viewing Biden's conduct as worthy of investigation, it is not clear whether a single Democratic member will vote to look into these allegations.

In September, I testified at the first impeachment inquiry hearing and stated that the evidence had clearly passed the threshold for such an inquiry. While there was no requirement to hold a formal vote to start this process (as the Democrats did with Trump), I encouraged the members to hold such a vote.

Since that hearing, the evidence has only mounted against President Biden.

US-made munitions used in illegal white phosphorous attack on Lebanon

PhosAttack

The Israeli army used US-manufactured white phosphorous shells in a brutal attack on south Lebanon in October, the Washington Post reported on 11 December, citing an analysis of shell fragments found in the southern Lebanese village of Al-Dhahira.

A Washington Post journalist came across the remnants of three 155-millimeter artillery shells near the border. Production codes found on the shells indicate that they were made by ammunition depots in Louisiana and Arkansas in 1989 and 1992.

Residents told the journalist that the shells in question "incinerated at least four homes." Nine people were injured in the white phosphorous attack, which took place on 16 October, including three who were hospitalized.

Russian recluse Vladimir Putin is on the loose alliance building

Flypast in Dubai
© New Eastern Outlook
The reception Russian President Vladimir Putin received for his visit with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was nothing short of exquisite. The Russian president's arrival was met with ceremonies no U.S. president ever received. The spectacle in Abu Dhabi rivalled even that of Pope Francis in November. The events culminated at the imposing Qasr Al Watan Palace, where both leaders seemed dwarfed by the extravagance of one of the world's finest landmarks of art and culture in the world. The welcoming must-have been puzzling for Americans, assured that the "whole" world is shunning Putin and Russia.

On the agenda for the meetings was the status of multifaceted Russia-UAE cooperation, as well as the prospects for future collaboration. The Russian and UAE leaders also discussed the current situation in the Middle East in the shadow of the current Israeli-Palestinian crisis. During his meeting with Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Mr. Putin noted an "unprecedentedly high level" of relations between his country and the UAE.

As I type this, Abu Dhabi is Moscow's leading trading partner in the Arab world, with trade turnover increasing by more than 67% last year. For those unfamiliar, some weeks ago, Russian nuclear agency Rosatom announced having set up a joint venture with Dubai's DP World to develop container shipping through the Arctic. The deal with one of the world's top port operators is the clearest sign so far of Moscow's ability to attract significant international partners to build the Northern Sea Route Putin's administration has keyed on for some years now.

Meanwhile, in October, U.S., British and European Union officials sent a warning to the United Arab Emirates to halt shipments of goods to Russia that could help Moscow in its war against Ukraine. This threatening signal from the Western alliance symbolises U.S. policy since the Biden administration took the White House. Not even former President Barack Obama's arrogance seems equal to the current leadership of the hegemony. And the petulance has not gone unnoticed.

In Defence of Steve's Kirsch's Analysis of the Leaked New Zealand Vaccine Data

Steve Kirsch
Steve Kirsch has analysed the data obtained from Barry Young, the New Zealand vaccine data whistleblower who was recently arrested under mass 'breach of privacy' legislation and faces up to seven years in jail.

Steve's statistical analysis resulted in him claiming that one person per 1,000 doses of the administered vaccines in a standard population died prematurely as a result, with that result skewed heavily to the over-60s.

This is consistent with the trend that I have commented on already in June 2022.

Several other sceptical commentators have since weighed in with their own analyses and criticised the structure of the data and commented on whether or not it can be useful in any way. In particular I highlight those from Igor Chudov, William Briggs and Eugyppius.

Since these posts were published there have been some further responses, which more or less point to an acceptance of the fact that the data are far from perfect, lacking especially in perhaps the most important aspect of all, namely any control data on unvaccinated mortality.
