Western-backed terrorists shell Aleppo escape routes, extort Syrians for $300 per fleeing civilian

Terrorists in Aleppo show no sign of deescalating attacks on residential areas and humanitarian corridors, Russia's Defense Ministry says. Only 12 people managed to flee the jihadist-controlled area overnight, and only after paying a hefty bribe.

The price of civilian freedom was valued at roughly $300 a head, an astronomical figure for the Aleppo residents who have been under the terrorists' yoke for years.

Commenting on the development of the Russian humanitarian pause, established on October 20 to secure the release of civilians via six specially-created escape routes, the Russian Ministry of Defense noted that on Saturday night only 12 Syrians had managed to flee east Aleppo. The MoD noted that terrorists in Aleppo continue to intensively shell the residential areas and humanitarian corridors.

"Last night 12 Syrians managed to move to safe districts through one of the corridors, in Al-Masharqa," the ministry's official spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Sunday morning.

"According to refugees, it [the escape] became possible after a bribe to one of field commanders at a price of 150,000 Syrian liras [around $300] for every person. In order to collect 1.8 million liras, the three families had to sell all their belongings," he noted.

State Dept orders families of American diplomats to evacuate Istanbul following threats against US citizens

The US State Department has ordered the families of American diplomats in Istanbul, Turkey, to leave due to an increased risk of terrorism following extremists' threats to "kidnap and assassinate Westerners and US citizens."

Family members of personnel stationed at the US Consulate General in Istanbul have been asked to leave because the State Department's security assessment deems it unsafe for them to stay.

"The Department of State made this decision based on security information indicating extremist groups are continuing aggressive efforts to attack US citizens in areas of Istanbul where they reside or frequent," the Turkey travel warning states. "This order applies only to the US Consulate General in Istanbul, not to other US diplomatic posts in Turkey."

While the consulate remains open and fully operational, Washington is urging US citizens to avoid travel to southeast Turkey and "carefully consider the risks" of traveling throughout the country.

The Clintons: Grifters-in-Chief

Clintons

Comment: This article is one of the ways that the MSM does damage control. What Bill and Hillary Clinton have done goes way beyond violating laws of 'charitable work' and their political puppeteering. Hillary has shown herself to be a completely self-serving, psychopathic, war-worshipping murderer with no morality whatsoever. The same applies to Bill. They embody a corrupt, aggressive and violent system that has remained largely unknown for quite some time now.

In an election season that has been full of surprises, let's hope the electorate understands that there is at least one thing of which it can be certain: A Hillary Clinton presidency will be built, from the ground up, on self-dealing, crony favors, and an utter disregard for the law.

This isn't a guess. It is spelled out, in black and white, in the latest bombshell revelation from WikiLeaks. It comes in the form of a memo written in 2011 by longtime Clinton errand boy Doug Band, who for years worked simultaneously at the Clinton Foundation and at the head of his lucrative consulting business, Teneo.

It is astonishingly detailed proof that the Clintons do not draw any lines between their "charitable" work, their political activity, their government jobs or (and most important) their personal enrichment. Every other American is expected to keep these pursuits separate, as required by tax law, anticorruption law and campaign-finance law. For the Clintons, it is all one and the same—the rules be damned.

The memo came near the end of a 2011 review by law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett into Clinton Foundation practices. Chelsea Clinton had grown concerned about the audacious mixing of public and private, and the review was designed to ensure that the foundation didn't lose its charitable tax status. Mr. Band, Teneo boss and epicenter of what he calls " Bill Clinton, Inc.," clearly felt under assault and was eager to brag up the ways in which his business had concurrently benefited the foundation, Clinton political causes and the Clinton bank account. The memoed result is a remarkably candid look at the sleazy inner workings of the Clinton grifters-in-chief.

Flashback Chinese President Xi Jinping's 2000 interview: On Work, Politics, Responsibility, and Hardship

xi jinping
Xi in 1983.
At the 18th Congress of the Communist Party of China to be held in November 2012, China's Vice President Xi Jinping is expected to be elected as the new Secretary General of the party.

In August 2000, Xi Jinping gave a rare interview to the Chinese magazine Zhonghua Ernü. NIAS, Nordic Institute of Asian Studies hereby issues a translation of the interview in Danish and English. To our knowledge this the first time the interview has been translated into a Western language. The Danish version is a translation of the original interview in Chinese while the English version is translated from the Danish version. The translated interview was published in the Danish newspaper Politiken on Sunday 28 October 2012.

In the interview Xi Jinping tells about his background, his upbringing and his perception of good governance. In a personal and at times riveting way Xi Jinping explains how he during the Cultural Revolution only 15 years old was sent to the countryside for 7 years - 1,000 km away from Beijing - in order to learn from the peasants while his father was under political criticism. Moreover, Xi Jinping talks about the promotion of officials and corruption.

US-backed terrorists show their real face: 'Moderate rebels' in eastern Aleppo wave al-Nusra flags (PHOTOS)

Aleppo moderate rebels wave al nusra al qaeda flags
On October 28, 'moderate rebels' and their supporers from eastern Aleppo showed their real face one more time. Encouraged by the Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian al-Qaeda branch) attack on the Syrian government forces in western Aleppo, they confirmed their support to al-Nusra, wayving the terrorist group's flags and symbols.

If there was some 'moderate opposition' in eastern Aleppo, it remained silent.

The Katehon think tank has produced a fascinating documentary on the failed Turkish coup of July this year and the dynamics and events leading up to it. It features Alexander Dugin, among others. Dugin was in Ankara on the day of the coup and he provides details of his relationship with the secular Kemalists, and his support for Turkish-Russian ties for the past dozen or more years. Several of the more interesting revelations are listed below:

Hungarian Prime Minister tells Brussels drop mandatory refugee quotas or face lawsuit and 'big battle'

Hungary's Prime Minister said his country is ready to sue the European Commission over mandatory refugee resettlement quotas. If Brussels does not take the issue off the table, Budapest will resist with "a big battle" and "a serious legal debate."

"There will be a serious legal debate on whether a foreign population can be imposed on the people of an EU member state against its will," Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban told state radio on Friday, according to Reuters.

Orban, who consistently opposes Brussels' stance towards resettling refugees crossing European borders, promised that "this will be a big battle, and for this we need the constitution [amended]," if Hungary's voice is not heard by the EU.

Earlier this month, his cabinet called a nationwide referendum, asking citizens: "Do you want the European Union to be able to mandate the obligatory resettlement of non-Hungarian citizens into Hungary even without the approval of the National Assembly?"

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Friday called for cooperation to prevent Islamic State jihadists from leaving Mosul and heading to Syria during the offensive under way to recapture the Iraqi city.

"We are interested in cooperation with our Iraqi colleagues to take measures to prevent the outflow of terrorists from Mosul with their weapons, which of course will exacerbate the situation in Syria," Lavrov said following talks in Moscow with his Iranian and Syrian counterparts Mohammad Javad Zarif and Walid Muallem.

"We will discuss this with the United States and other members of the coalition," he said.

Best of the Web: Chinese President Xi may be next in Western MSM's demonization campaign

Putinism Economist
© The EconomistBetter watch out, Vlad. When Western propaganda throws an “-ism” at you, the gloves have come off. Think Marxism, Leninism, Maoism, communism, socialism, extremism and “Islamic” terrorism, for starters. After all, behind the Great Western Firewall, they are all the same thing, right?
A recent cover and main article in the Economist, pictured above, reminds me of just how hyperbolic and ideological is the West's propaganda against Russian President Vladimir Putin. While maybe good polemical fodder as a cartoon on the editorial page, the fact that this demonic caricature merits front cover status, indicates just how programmed and institutionalized Western mainstream media is. Westerners love to insult the Anti-West press for being "party organs" and "government mouthpieces". But, why travel so far? They only need to stay home with their national New York Times, Radio France and BBC, to really appreciate Bernaysian psyops being passed off as serious journalism (as in Edward Bernays). I don't call it living behind the Great Western Firewall for nothing.

I have a friend whose email signature is "Blame it on Putin". For a while, he changed it to "Blame it on China". But that didn't last long and he recently changed it back. As we have seen with the most depressing predictability, President Putin, specifically, and Russia in general are the voodoo pin dolls of Western racism and demonization of another people (Slavs) and other religions (Orthodox Christianity, as well as widespread Islam and Buddhism in Siberia).

What is so remarkable is how unhinged and psychopathic the West's racist propaganda is against Putin & Co., compared to the attacks on China's President Xi Jinping (XJP) and the Chinese people. It transgresses irrational fear, to the point of being sick, black humor. Yet, about the most polemical front cover against XJP was Time magazine in April, 2016, seen below. Making China's leader look like a Mao Zedong-Blade Runner replicant is tame and almost quaint, compared to the Orwellian "Emmanuel Goldstein" tsunami being launched nonstop against Putin.
