Geopolitical group therapy: Obama's final foreign trip

Obama
Obama makes one last international appeal for the policies, war-making, and economic destruction that have made him so popular and beloved among psychopathic elites the world over.
President Obama will depart Monday on his final foreign trip of his presidency — and the main topic of the three-country tour is expected to be President-elect Donald Trump.

"We certainly expect that the election will be the primary topic on people's minds everywhere we go," deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes told reporters, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The president will travel to Athens on Monday, then to Berlin on Wednesday and finally Lima, Peru, on Friday. He's expected to return to Washington, DC, on Sunday.

In addition to meeting Greek and German leaders, Obama will meet with President Francois Hollande of France, President Mariano Rajoy of Spain, Prime Minister Matteo Renzi of Italy and Prime Minister Theresa May of the United Kingdom.

Comment: "Don't worry - don't worry! The US is still your big daddy Empire and we'll continue to do what we've always done - and so will you - no matter who's president."

Battle for Aleppo: Syrian army launches major offensive

Russian T-55 tank
As expected Syrian army launches major offensive in south west Aleppo in coordination with Russian bombing and cruise missile strikes. Initial target of operation is Al-Qaeda led Jihadi concentrations around western Aleppo, before operation to storm Al-Qaeda eastern districts of Aleppo commences.

Reports from Syrian and Iranian news agencies appear to confirm that alongside the Russian air and cruise missile strikes on Al-Qaeda bases in Idlib and Homs province, the Syrian army has now started a major ground operation in and around Aleppo.

There are also reports of air strikes on the Al-Qaeda controlled eastern districts of Aleppo. The Syrian military has apparently confirmed that Syrian aircraft are involved. Not surprisingly pro-Jihadi news outlets are claiming that the Russians are involved in these strikes as well. However this has been categorically denied by Dmitry Peskov, Putin's spokesman.

The Russian naval group in Syria is protected by the Bastion coastal defense system, S-300, S-400 and Pantsir systems, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Tuesday.

"As you know, S-400 system had been deployed [in Syria] a long time ago. In addition, we have deployed the S-300 system to cover the sea, practically reaching the territory of Cyprus," Shoigu said at Russian President Vladimir Putin's meeting with the ministry's leadership and defense enterprises. Moreover, Bastion coastal systems which virtually cover the entire coast are deployed, he said. "These complexes are able to destroy both sea and ground targets at a distance of 350 kilometers of the sea and almost 450 kilometers of land," Shoigu said.

What a tool: McCain warns Trump over Russia stance

John McCain

A senior Republican senator has warned President-elect Donald Trump against softening U.S. policy toward Russia, saying any "reset" of relations would be dangerous move.

The comments by John McCain, chairman of the Senate Armed Service Committee and a persistent critic of Russia, suggest tensions between Trump and congressional Republicans who want tougher action against Moscow.

McCain on November 15 alluded to a telephone conversation between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which Putin called for improved bilateral ties.

McCain said: "We should place as much faith in such statements as any other made by a former KGB agent who has plunged his country into tyranny, murdered his political opponents, invaded his neighbors, threatened America's allies, and attempted to undermine America's elections."

Comment: This entire statement is a complete lie. Factions in America, including McCain, did ALL of what he's listed above. Talk about pathological projection: accusing of others of what they themselves are doing!

McCain also alluded to outgoing President Barack Obama's attempts to mend ties with Russia after Moscow's invasion of Georgia in 2008. Тhe effort was known as a "reset."

"At the very least, the price of another 'reset' would be complicity in Putin and [the] butchery of the Syrian people," he said.

Comment: Putin and Trump speak for first time - talk Syria, trade, economic ties, plan to unite in the fight against terrorism

As Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) loses territory in both Iraq and Syria, Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders has warned of an increasing influx of returning fighters who could carry out terror attacks in Europe.

Speaking at a press conference in Brussels with his French counterpart Jean-Marc Ayrault, Reynders said that cooperation and intelligence-sharing between countries was the key to dealing with the threat of returning battle-hardened militants.

"Today, thanks to the progress that we are making with the military coalition in Iraq and in Syria, we see that cities and entire provinces are being recovered," he said, as quoted by AFP. "But there is concern about the larger return of these foreign fighters to our countries."

"We need to strengthen not only what we have done, the cooperation and exchange of information between France and Belgium, but also with many other European partners and beyond."

Investigation exposes Poroshenko's secret coastal Spanish villa

Along the picturesque shores of Estepona in southern Spain's Costa del Sol lie some of Europe's most elegant resorts and luxury estates, whose owners and residents include Hollywood actors, superstar athletes, and some of the continent's political elite.

But the list of property owners also includes the head of state, along with several key allies, of one of postcommunist Europe's most beleaguered and corruption-riddled states, an RFE/RL investigation has learned.

The Spanish properties of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko; Ihor Kononenko, a deputy head of the president's Bloc of Petro Poroshenko party and onetime business partner; and Oleh Hladkovskyy, a deputy secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, had previously been kept secret.

Each of those three men owns a lavish Mediterranean-style villa on or near the coast -- and in Kononenko's case, a second plot of land, too.

Comment: This investigation by US state run RFE/RL makes one wonder if Poroshenko isn't following direction well, and was in need of some good old-fashion covert nudging.

Trump will likely end US support for Syrian rebels despite their pleas for help

Donald Trump

President-elect Donald Trump has reaffirmed his campaign trail position that assisting the Syrian government in fighting Isis should be the US' main objective in Syria, despite appeals from rebels for continued help in their fight against President Bashar al-Assad.

"I've had an opposite view of many people regarding Syria. My attitude was you're fighting Syria, Syria is fighting Isis, and you have to get rid of Isis," he said in a wide-ranging interview with the Wall Street Journal on Friday.

Mr Trump has stated that while he "did not like [Mr Assad] at all", shoring up his regime is the best way to stem the extremism that has flourished in the chaos of the civil war and threatens the US.

He has also been emphatic about mending ties with Russia, Syria's long-standing ally and military backer in the conflict.

"Russia is now totally aligned with Syria, and now you have Iran, which is becoming powerful, because of us, is aligned with Syria... Now we're backing rebels against Syria, and we have no idea who those people are," he told the Journal, referring to the hardline Sunni Islamist elements present in rebel ranks. If the US attacks Mr Assad, "We end up fighting Russia," he added.

Assange: 'Google is not what it seems'

assange at google
Julian Assange cautioned all of us a while back, in the vein of revelations similar to those provided by Edward Snowden, that Google — the insidious search engine with a reputation for powering humanity's research — plays the dark hand role in furthering U.S. imperialism and foreign policy agendas.

Now, as the Wikileaks founder faces days of questioning by a Swedish special prosecutor over rape allegations inside his Ecuadorian Embassy haven in London today — and particularly in wake of the presidential election — Assange's warning Google "is not what it seems" must be revisited.

Under intense scrutiny by the U.S. State Department for several controversial Wikileaks' publications of leaked documents in 2011, Assange first met Google Executive Chairman, then-CEO, Eric Schmidt, who approached the political refugee under the premise of a new book. Schmidt, whose worth Forbes estimates exceeds $11 billion, partnered with Council on Foreign Relations and State Department veteran, Jared Cohen, for the work, tentatively titled The Empire of the Mind — and asked Assange for an interview.

Later acknowledging naïvte in agreeing to meet the pair of tech heavyweights, Assange found afterward how enmeshed in and integral to U.S. global agendas Schmidt and Cohen had become.

Comment: Can Google effect regime change? Appears so.

Egypt's Court of Cassation has sustained the appeal of former President Mohamed Morsi and a number of leaders of the outlawed Islamist organization Muslin Brotherhood over death sentence on the case of jailbreak in January 2011 and involvement in mass riots, the local television said on Tuesday. The higher instance court ruled to overturn the verdict and send the case back for a new trial.

The appeal to challenge the last year's verdict was lodged on behalf of 27 Islamist leaders sentenced to life or death on this case. In October, prosecutors of the Court of Cassation recommended to revoke the verdict against Morsi. After the Islamists had been ousted from power in the summer of 2013, criminal cases were opened against most of their leaders and activists. On June 16, Egypt's criminal court upheld a death sentence to Morsi for being behind jailbreaks and attacks on police during the 2011 riots. He was also sentences to 45 years in jail on other charges, including those of spying for foreign states.

Among those sentenced to capital punishments were Muslim Brotherhood supreme mentor Mohammed Badia, his deputy Rashad al-Bayoumi, Islamist activist Issam al-Aryan and former parliament speaker Saad al-Qatatni. The rest were sentences to life in prison. Charges were brought against 130 people in all but only 27 stood trial, others were sentences in absentia.

'Carnivore of the first order' - Check out this Soros interview from the 90s

george soros
The following video is from an 'ancient' episode of CBS 60 Minutes, aired in the US on December 20, 1998, in which billionaire globalist George Soros is interviewed about his conquests.

Since then and now, Soros' power has only grown, evidenced in the fact that anyone mentioning his acts of financial terrorism is derided in the mainstream as an 'alt.right angry white male conspiracy theorist'.

This 'consensus' was only recently pierced by leaked emails confirming - by Soros' own hand - that he is in fact meddling in the internal affairs of countless countries, and on a routine basis, but the mainstream media remains overwhelmingly silent about his activities.

Have a look...
