Sparking controversy: Images of Hezbollah 'parading US armored vehicles' emerge online

Hezbollah fighters
Lebanon's Hezbollah militant group, recognized as terrorist organization by the US, has been allegedly spotted parading a vast number of US-made military vehicles in Syria, triggering questions about how they ended up in the militants' hands.

The photos of Hezbollah's military parade allegedly featuring US-made armored vehicles in the Syrian city of Qusayr published by media close to the organization raised questions the US State Department had to confront during a daily press briefing on Tuesday.

"Our embassy in Beirut is working with the Lebanese armed forces to investigate the images circulating on social media purporting to show Hezbollah displaying US military equipment in Syria," State Department spokeswoman Elizabeth Trudeau said.

Three "well-known" commanders of Al-Qaeda's Syria affiliate formerly known as Al-Nusra Front, including one who planned attacks on Aleppo, were killed in Russian strikes launched from aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov, a Defense Ministry spokesman said.

"As a result of strikes delivered by Su-33 carrier-based fighter jets and air group of the Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier, a large gang of the Jabhat al-Nusra group was destroyed in the province of Idlib," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said Thursday.

At least 30 terrorists were killed, including three field commanders, Konashenkov said, adding that the operation resulted in a "major blow" against Al-Nusra, which now goes by the name of Jabhat Fatah Al-Sham.

US feigns concern over human rights in Philippines

Duterte
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte is heading a controversial campaign against crime, embodied in his "war on drugs" which has led to violence spanning the nation's troubled urban centers. President Duterte's comments have ranged from reasonable, to utterly indifferent regarding fears of extrajudicial executions, vigilantism, and very real human rights abuses - opening a door of opportunity for his political opponents both at home and abroad.

President Duterte's inability to clearly condemn extrajudicial executions and vigilante violence, along with his inflammatory, provocative, even dangerously demagogic statements both invites further abuses, as well as both legitimate and opportunistic criticism of him, his administration, and his policies.

While legitimate criticism is both necessary and justified, it is undermined by disingenuous political opportunism, wielded by hypocrites who only stand to compound the Philippines' current crisis, not solve it. America the Humane? Among President Duterte's more opportunistic political opponents is the United States.

Will alternative voices be demonized or banned following Trump's victory?

Weapons of Mass Deception
© Paul Cabo/Twitter
Before I get into the meat of this article, I want to remind you of a few paragraphs I wrote back in the August post, Questioning Hillary's Health is Not Conspiracy Theory:
As I look at the landscape in 2016 to-date, I observe emergent signs that alternative media is finally beginning to take over from the legacy mainstream media when it comes to impact and influence. The mainstream media (unlike with John McCain in 2008), had decided that Hillary Clinton's health was not an issue and chose not to pursue it. Many in the alternative media world took a different position, and due to mainstream media's failure to inform the American public for decades, the alternative media drove that issue to the top of the news cycle. That's power.

This is an incredibly big deal, and the mainstream media intuitively knows what it means. It means a total loss of legitimately, prestige and power. All of which is well deserved of course.

So here's the bottom line. 2016 represents the true beginning of what I would call the Media Wars. Alternative media is now capable of driving the news cycle. Mainstream media now has no choice but to fight back, and fight back it will. It will fight back dirty. This is going to get very ugly, but by the time the dust has settled, I think much of the mainstream media will be left as a shell of its former self.
With Hillary's loss, the mainstream media and its distressed and discredited allies are in a panic like we have never seen before. They understand that alternative voices now influence the public as much, if not more so, than the mainstream press, and they are now out to destroy those voices. The way they are going about this is by placing anti-establishment voices under the blanket umbrella of "fake news," or in the case of Twitter, they just seem to purge people they don't like from the platform altogether.

The gloves are now completely off following the publication, and wide distribution by legacy media, of a list compiled by Melissa Zimdars, an assistant professor of communication at Merrimack College in Massachusetts, of "False, misleading, clickbait-y and satirical 'news' sources."

What you'll find, is that some of your favorite websites, including Zerohedge are represented in this ridiculous list.

Britain quashes hope of return for evicted Chagos islanders to US-leased military colony

Diego Garcia

The Chagos islanders evicted from their own Indian Ocean homeland to make way for a military colony have been disappointed again, as the Foreign Office has confirmed that they will not be allowed to return home.

Hundreds of Chagossians have been waiting for the latest decision for the two years since the last High Court hearing, while the overall campaign to reclaim their home has been ongoing for four decades.

In a statement on Wednesday, Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Baroness Anelay appeared to quash any hope of a return for the islanders, while admitting that the treatment of the Chagossians during their removal "was wrong" and claiming the Foreign Office felt "deep regret" about it.

Comment: Diego Garcia - A brief history lesson: U.S. military forcibly transported inhabitants and gassed their dogs

The Chagossians had been living on Diego Garcia since the time of the American Revolution. To convert the island of Diego Garcia into a military base, the U.S. forcibly transported its 2,000 inhabitants to Mauritius and the Seychelles, 1,200 miles away, where they were left with no money and no housing, to fend for themselves, consigned to a life of abject poverty, unemployment and health problems.

Syrian UN rep Jaafari: Nusra-linked cleric admits funding from Saudis, Qataris, most "moderate jihadists" are foreigners

muhaysini
Jihadist emir al-Muhaysini reacts to Hillary losing the election.
Upon instruction from my Government, I would like to draw your kind attention to the following important information:

During the last week of October 2016, armed terrorist groups bombed residential neighbourhoods and civilians in the city of Aleppo with hundreds of Katyusha and Grad rockets, resulting in the deaths of 99 civilians and wounding more than 500 others, until yesterday, 7 November 2016.

In this context, the broadcast media organ of the terrorist organization Jaish al-Fatah — Army of Conquest, the disguised name of the Nusrah Front, broadcasted an interview with the Saudi terrorist Abdullah al-Mhaisni, the forensic mufti (clerk) of this terrorist organization, who conducted this interview at the time and place from where the rockets were launched on civilians in the city of Aleppo.

In this interview, al-Mhaisni praised some of the donors who "financed the purchase of these 100 rockets and other hundreds which will arrive later" and who are nationals of some Gulf countries, including Abu Mohammad from Al-Qassim Region and the "Group of Islam Brothers" from Saudi Arabia, Abu-Eljud from Qatar and Abu-Ahmad from Kuwait. He clearly stated that these people and group had paid the money to buy these rockets. He also praised Turkey and said that the descendants of the Ottomans were the leading supporters of the Syrians and their jihad.

Comment: Jaish al-Fatah (Army of Conquest) is the alliance between al-Nusra and various U.S.-backed "moderate" terrorists such as Ahrar ash-Sham and Harakat Nour al-Din al-Zenki (the guys that beheaded a young Palestinian boy). Even SITE Intelligence admits Muhaysini (spelled Mhaisni above) is a "jihadist" tied to al-Nusra. And here he is saying who is providing the weapons for the assault on Aleppo. But until Trump was elected, the U.S. did nothing to counter these psychos. Strange, huh?

Trump's opponents see normal Americans as deplorables

Trump protests
I guess we have all noticed that the holier-than-thou groups who whined that Trump wasn't going to accept the outcome of the election refuse to accept it themselves.

Because I was critical of the George W. Bush regime, the liberal-progressive-leftwing and homosexual/transgendered rights groups have me on their mailing lists.

And it is unbelievable. The entirety of "the other America" refuses to accept the people's decision. They think that their concerns are more important than the concerns of the American people, who they regard as nothing but a collection of racist homophobic rednecks.

Unless they provoke him beyond reason, Trump is not going to bother any of these people.

State Dept dismisses question from RT, says won't treat it like other media

RT has asked the US State Department for specific information concerning allegations that Russia is targeting hospitals in Syria. The response was a reiteration of those allegations and a refusal to treat RT in the same way as other media outlets.

During Wednesday's State Department briefing, spokesman John Kirby accused Russia and the Syrian regime of the bombing of "five hospitals and at least one mobile clinic in Syria." RT's reporter Gayane Chichakyan asked Kirby to specify the details of the alleged incidents, including their location.

Kirby said that he doesn't know the exact locations.

"I'm not making those accusations, I'm telling you that we've seen reports from credible aid organizations," Kirby said, refusing to clarify any details on the alleged attacks or even give the list of the "many Syrian relief agencies" on which the State Department relied.

He went on with his criticism of the reporter.

"Here's a good question: Why don't you ask your Defense Ministry what they are doing? You work for Russia Today [RT], and so why shouldn't you ask your government the same kind of questions that you are asking me?" Kirby told RT on Wednesday. While Chichakyan pointed out she needed specific details so that RT could inquire about the allegations, Kirby refused to elaborate.

The Trump-Putin phone call: A legacy in the making?

Putin Trump
There are few phone conversations more memorable than the one Peter Sellers has as President of the United States with the Soviet Premier in Stanley Kubrick's classic black comedy Dr. Strangelove.

If you've never seen it, here's a link. Go watch it. I'll wait.

Note the situation. The U.S. as the aggressor versus Russia for all the thermonuclear marbles. A rogue element within the U.S. military decided this was necessary.

Up until Tuesday evening's election results this was a real possibility. Except it wouldn't have been an underling's decision to go to war with Russia but rather the President herself.

Thankfully, enough Americans decided, whether they were aware of it or not, not to vote for war and elect Donald Trump.

Today the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and President-elect Trump had a far different phone call than the one brilliantly ad-libbed by Peter Sellers 53 years ago. And the world is a potentially much safer place than yesterday.

And you thought the US election was over - Australian children at daycare centre caught chanting death threats about Trump

Trump & Hillary
© Instagram
Who's in denial now?

Unhappy democrats have started a Twitter campaign and petition to change the election result on December 19th by convincing Republicans in the electoral college to vote for Hillary instead. I think the plan is to riot, throw a hissy fit, and hope everyone "comes to their senses". Things are not just crazy in the US, in Australia, the media coverage of the US election has been so politically purified that five and six year old's at a daycare centre were caught chanting death threats about Donald Trump and the after-school club has decided to do "art therapy" to help them cope.

Hillary Clinton was horrified that Donald Trump might not accept the election result. Now that her fans are rioting in the streets many people look forward to her telling them how much they are "denigrating democracy". Right now there are really only two people who could stop most of the violence if they made an impassioned public plea for their fans to respect the democratic process, and rule of law. Where are their responses?

The popular vote was so popular it seems 3 million people from other countries voted too

The main (only) argument keeping the Clinton-camp's hopes alive is that she won the popular vote by 600,000 votes. But a study by Greg Phillips of VoteFraud.org suggests as many as 3 million votes were cast by illegal immigrants. Who knows, Trump may have won the popular vote if there had been ID checks, something the Democrats do everything they can to stop. Indeed Obama even explained before the election that non-citizens should get out vote. Snopes has tried to claim this is false, but even their "in context" quote shows Obama was responding to a question about "undocumented citizens" and people at risk of being deported. There are apparently 4 million dead people on U.S. voter rolls, and the Democrats don't want them to stop voting either.

The @realDonaldTrump tweeted "If the election were based on total popular vote I would have campaigned in N.Y. Florida and California and won even bigger and more easily"

Past presidents that won with lower percentages of the popular vote than Trump (47%) include Abraham Lincoln (39%), Woodrow Wilson (42%), and Bill Clinton (43%).
