Marine Le Pen: Four days ago "no chance" to win, now leads polls with 29%

The Independent reported that pollsters said Marine Le Pen has "next to no chance" of winning the French presidency. Think again... Here comes a FREXIT? Pundits said Le Pen had "no chance" to win the upcoming French elections...

Following in the footsteps of BREXIT and Trump, perhaps the pollsters should rethink their methods.

Zerohedge reports...
...today we learned that contrary to previous polls, the leader of National Front leader Marine - the person whose surge in the past few years has been most equated to the French populist revolt that has taken place in the UK and US - has taken a commanding lead in the latest French presidential election poll.

As the Independent writes in "Marine Le Pen takes huge lead over nearest rival in new French presidential election poll", according to the latest, Nov. 20, Ipsos poll, Le Pen had 29% of the vote when pitted against Nicolas Sarkozy, who was eight points behind, and held a 15-point lead over the Parti de Gauche's Jean-Luc Mélenchon in the poll released by Ipsos, which analysed five scenarios with different frontrunners.
Here is some additional analysis on the rise of Le Pen from Fox News...

Comment: UPDATE: With an estimated 4.3M turnout for the vote, Sarkozy was eliminated in first round of French center-right presidential primaries - leaving Alain Juppe and Francois Fillon to compete the second round on November 27th. Provisional results from 9,551 polling stations out of 10,229 showed Fillon with 44.1 percent of the votes, Juppe on 28.6, and Sarkozy on 20.6. None of the other four candidates scored in double digits.

With Obama leaving and Killary's loss, Sarkozy out of the races and possibly Merkel as well, a big populist wind is closing the door on one political era as another begins to open.

Bolton warns Obama to keep his mitts off Israel at the UN

© AlgemeinerJohn Bolton through the looking glass: one eye on Obama and a distorted lens on Israel.
Former United Nations Ambassador John Bolton warned Sunday that President Obama should not take any actions before leaving office that could hurt Israel at the U.N. Bolton said during an interview with radio host John Catsimatidis that there is "a lot of speculation over in Turtle Bay at U.N. headquarters about resolutions that recognize a Palestinian state or that try and set a boundary for Israel based on the 1967 ceasefire lines."

"I think that'd be very inadvisable for the president to do that," he said.

Obama said during his final speech as president at the U.N. General Assembly that Israel would be in a better position if it did not "permanently occupy and settle Palestinian land" and Palestinians would be better off if they were to "reject incitement," according to the Jerusalem Post.

Bolton said Sunday that Trump's transition team is "doing an excellent job," noting that Trump has spoken with various world leaders who have congratulated him on winning the election. "They're obviously very, very interested in finding out more about him, more about what his administration's priorities are going to be," Bolton said.

Bolton, who served as ambassador to the U.N. under George W. Bush, is reportedly among those being considered to be secretary of State under Trump. "I think part of the uncertainty that people feel is that they know that America's foreign policy is going to change. That's what democracy does. You get new leaders and the country moves in a different direction," Bolton said.

Comment: Mr. Bolton should be smart enough to recognize that "No Solution" is really no solution and a bias is never fair. Trump can do better than this "bomb Iran" guy.

NATO commander says 'Russia is not our enemy' while staging aggressive military drills in Baltics

Vice Admiral Clive Johnstone

NATO does not see Russia as its enemy but is, rather, trying to "understand" Moscow's motives and protect its own interests at the same time, the alliance's Navy Commander, Vice Admiral Clive Johnstone, said at a NATO parliamentary assembly in Istanbul. "Russia can develop and deploy its fleet to any areas, but NATO does not intend to stop it. Russia is not our enemy and we have no desire to get involved in a new Cold War," Johnstone said, as cited by the Turkish Anadolu news agency.

"NATO is trying to understand Russia, and not to hurt its own interests at the same time," he added, stressing that "some Baltic States, which are the NATO members, are meticulous about their territorial waters." However, the vice admiral went on to accuse Russia of "escalating tensions instead of controlling the situation," even going so far as to say that Russia is apparently trying to create a new world order.

Moscow had offered to host a meeting of military experts that would have been dedicated to the issue of security in the Baltic region, but the proposal was rejected by the alliance, Russia's envoy to NATO, Aleksandr Grushko, said, while noting that the number of flights made by NATO's military aircraft in the region exceeds that made by Russia's by many times.

Meanwhile, the Lithuanian Defense Ministry released a report complaining that NATO fighter jets had shadowed Russian military aircraft twice in just the last week, although, in both cases, the Russian planes had been in international airspace.

See ya! Putin and Obama's final handshake - Putin's words on working with Obama

Putin Obama last handshake
© unknownPutin and Obama's final friendly handshake
After his last meeting with Obama before Trump takes office, Vladimir Putin shared what it was like working with Barack over the last 8 years.

Yesterday, Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama met briefly at the APEC summit in Lima. The meeting was very brief and many observers have commented on the coldness with which the two leaders received each other.

It is in all likelihood the last time the two will meet before Obama leaves the White House. Today, President Putin has offered rather sobering comments on his dealings with Barack Obama first as Russian Prime Minister and more recently as President.

Flashback Surprised? US passport of ISIS leader found in Sirte Libya

 US passport of ISIS leader
Anyone who doubts that ISIS is not a creation of the US and supported by the US and their intelligence agencies can now rid themselves of all doubt.

Attached to this report is a copy of a US passport found in an ISIS headquarters in Sirte after the cleansing of Sirte. This is the passport of an ISIS leader.

As I have already stated many times, the US and the Zionists are the founders of ISIS, Al Qaeda and all other radical Islamic mercenary armies.

They are armed, trained and funded by the CIA and other black-water groups.

Appalling: Trump taps a torture fan for head of CIA

Rep. Mike Pompeo, R-Kansas
A banal face of evil, Rep. Mike Pompeo, R-Kansas.
The CIA's torturers can breathe a sigh of relief after President-elect Trump tapped a defender of "enhanced interrogation techniques" to become CIA director..

President-elect Donald Trump's selection of Kansas Congressman Mike Pompeo, an open aficionado of torture practices used in the "war on terror," to be CIA director shows that Trump was serious when he said he would support "waterboarding and much worse."

Earlier, there had been a sliver of hope that that, while on the campaign trail, Trump was simply playing to the basest instincts of many Americans who have been brainwashed - by media, politicians, and the CIA itself - into believing that torture "works." The hope was that the person whom Trump would appoint to head the agency would disabuse him regarding both the efficacy and the legality of torture.

But such advice is not likely from Pompeo, who has spoken out against the closing of CIA's "black sites" used for torture and has criticized the requirement that interrogators adhere to anti-torture laws. He has also opposed closing the prison at Guantanamo, which has become infamous for torture and even murder.

Comment: The head of the CIA could potentially put a brake on such activities. From VOX:
"As current CIA Director John Brennan explained at an event at the Brookings Institution think tank back in April, "If a president were to order the agency to carry out waterboarding or something else, it'll be up to the director of CIA and others within CIA to decide whether or not that direction and order is something that they can carry out in good conscience," he said.

"As long as I'm director of CIA, irrespective of what the president says, I'm not going to be the director of CIA who gives that order. They'll have to find another director," Brennan added.

But Brennan isn't going to be CIA director anymore; Pompeo is. And Pompeo strongly defended the CIA against its critics in Congress following the 2014 release of the Senate Intelligence Committee Report on Torture, declaring, "These men and women are not torturers, they are patriots," and, "The programs being used were within the law, within the constitution.""
Whatever Trump's potential strengths on the domestic front, his appointment of a man of such loathsome views as Pompeo is a huge black mark on the incoming administration.

Total rubbish: An elitist plea for a Killary pardon

Hillary Clinton
A few days ago, Jesse Jackson called for President Obama to grant Hillary Clinton a pardon for crimes she may or may not have committed. It follows some deft sidestepping of the question by White House spokespeople about what the President might do. You get the impression that Obama doesn't really want to, but that he might have to if Donald Trump or his allies look like embarking on another hate campaign.

The safest and best thing all round would be for Mr Obama to go ahead and openly front up his decision.

All agree - even President-elect Trump agrees - that America has been through a difficult year, culminating in the most bitter presidential election in living memory. All agree, in Donald Trump's words, that the time has come to bind the nation's wounds. Well, we know one way to bind one of those wounds: a presidential pardon for Hillary Clinton.

The advantages of such a move for the American people are clear.

First, it would help finally close the chapter on that presidential election. The arguments about that are still going on, and especially about what the damage to Hillary Clinton's campaign was. She herself has said it stopped her momentum.

Comment: America doesn't need to bind festering wounds; it needs a surgical clean-out and massive antibiotics; it needs JUSTICE. Hillary should spend the rest of her natural life in prison along with her criminal/ rapist hubby.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister: Militants used Aleppo truce to receive aid, prepare new offensives

The United Nations has failed to take full advantage of the humanitarian pauses in Syria, Gatilov added, stressing that not a single civilian had been evacuated out of the besieged areas of eastern Aleppo despite UN pledges to take some 200 people out of the combat zone.

"So, unfortunately, the United Nations failed with this task. Meanwhile, the humanitarian pauses were used by the militant opposition forces to receive additional financial aid and help, and this humanitarian pause was de-facto used by them to prepare new military operations," the deputy minister said.

In recent months, the situation in Aleppo has deteriorated. Terrorists do not allow residents to take advantage of recent pauses in fighting to leave the danger zone through the humanitarian corridors. Instead, they continue to use the humanitarian pause to prepare for new military operations.

Russia may consider the introduction of new humanitarian pausesin Syria's embattled city of Aleppo only after receiving guarantees that they will not be used by terrorists and radical opposition forces to recuperate and prepare new attacks, he said.

Scorned former British PM Tony Blair seeking to return to politics in bid to overrule the peoples vote for Brexit

Tony Blair
© PATony Blair, pictured, is hunting for a Westminster office for his new Brexit lobbying group as he plots his return to politics
Tony Blair is hunting for a new office near Westminster as he plots a return to frontline politics to influence the Government's approach to Brexit. The former prime minister believes the Tories are 'screwing up Brexit' and views Jeremy Corbyn as a 'a nutter,' according to a source who has spoken to Mr Blair.

He thinks there's a 'massive hole in British politics' that he can fill. Mr Blair is setting up a new institute that will seek to influence and advise the Brexit process. Mr Blair has scouted out three potential venues close to Westminster to relocate his workforce of 130 staff, the Sunday Times reported today.

A source who has spoken about Brexit with Mr Blair told the newspaper: 'He's not impressed with Theresa May. He thinks she's a total lightweight.' The controversial former PM is expected to meet Mrs May for a coffee in the coming weeks, but Mrs May is understood to view Mr Blair as part of an 'unholy alliance' of yesterday's politicians who are trying to frustrate the Brexit process.

Mr Blair has met former Chancellor George Osborne and other key figures to discuss Brexit. He will make a 'proper announcement' about his intentions in the New Year, his office said today.

Comment: Blair is one of the most hated politicians in England with good reason, and his return will likely only provoke people more. Do everyone a favor and crawl back under a rock. Hillary can show you the way.
