Global pedophile rings hiding in plain sight

captured girl
© innocentjustice.org Recent revelations regarding pedophile rings run by and for the rich and powerful show that these are not isolated incidents and part of a systemic, global problem targeting defenseless children.

Pedophilia scandals continue to emerge around the world year after year while the corporate media and law enforcement agencies alike fail to treat the sexual exploitation of minors as a global, systemic problem. As the number of child abuse scandals involving the rich and powerful continue to grow, it is becoming impossible to cover up that these instances of child sexual abuse and exploitation are globally organized and often run by the very same people who greatly influence society and politics. The entertainment industry, powerful political centers, and even organized religion have been shown to be major centers where this horrific abuse has been enabled and widely accepted among the "elites" and other powerful individuals that dominate these institutions. What follows are several examples of the widespread depravity practiced by some of the world's most powerful people.

Fake News: Newsweek admits they didn't write or proof read 'Madam President' issue

A Newsweek editor admitted Wednesday that the infamous Hillary Clinton 'Madam President' issue was not proof read before being shipped out, and no one on the staff at the magazine had any hand in writing it.

Appearing on Tucker Carlson Tonight, Newsweek political editor Matt Cooper attempted to defend the fact that Newsweek printed and shipped out commemorative issues declaring Hillary Clinton the next US President, days before the election even took place.

The outlet even had Hillary sign some of the 125,000 copies of the magazine, which in its introduction labeled Trump supporters as "deplorable" and described his campaign as "fear and hate-based conservatism".

'Fake news' WaPo warns Syrian 'moderates' abandoned by US, may get in bed with jihadists

Members of al Qaeda's Nusra Front
© Hosam Katan / Reuters Members of al Qaeda's Nusra Front carry their weapons as they walk near al-Zahra village, north of Aleppo city, November 25, 2014.
Armed groups in Syria previously vetted by the US to receive weapons through CIA channels may join jihadist forces if the Trump administration abandons them, the Washington Post warned.

During his presidential campaign, Donald Trump questioned the Obama administration's policy of secretly providing weapons to rebel groups in Syria, saying, "we have no idea who these people are."

He also voiced his intention to ally the US with Russia to defeat the Islamic State terrorist group (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in Syria. Rebels opposed to the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad, who the US has dubbed 'moderate opposition,' are considering forming "a closer alliance with better-armed Al-Qaeda and other extremist groups," according to the Washington Post, which cites US officials, regional experts, and the rebels themselves.

Comment: There really was no distinction between 'moderate rebels' and jihadists so this WaPo article is raising a false alarm.

Will Rand Paul fight fake news with a filibuster?

Via The Daily Bell
Kentucky Senator Rand Paul has been on the warpath when it comes to President-elect Donald Trump's secretary of state picks. He's not been one to hold back commentary about former ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton, calling him a "menace," and vowing that if Trump decided to go with Bolton, the Senator would gather the necessary votes to stop it. -The Blaze
As we can see from the above article excerpt, Rand Paul has made strong public comments about Trump's pick for secretary of state. But he hasn't been nearly so outspoken about the "fake news" debate.

This is especially startling given that his own father has been mentioned as a proponent of fake news as part of a larger list of non-mainstream media websites. Additionally, he could have spoken out about legislation just passed by the House that, if passed by the Senate and signed by the President, could generate increased scrutiny of the alternative media, presumably including his father.

European Union offers cash to Assad regime for Syria peace deal

The EU is offering financial support for a Syria still ruled by President Assad in a last-ditch effort to retain western influence on the outcome of the war, The Times has been told.

As the battle for Aleppo reaches an endgame, EU officials are said to have accepted that previous western demands that Assad step down are unrealistic. There is a growing sense that America has been sidelined as a western negotiating partner.

Instead, the EU foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, put new proposals to opposition leaders at a meeting two weeks ago, with an offer of aid and investment as a sweetener for all sides.

Comment: One has to wonder what Assad thinks about the EU trying to throw money at him after what Western powers have done in Syria.

Green Party's Jill Stein will appeal to a federal court in Pennsylvania recount bid

US Green Party candidate Jill Stein said her campaign will appeal to a federal court on Monday to seek a state-wide vote recount in Pennsylvania, hours after dropping a lawsuit in a local court, saying the cost of the lawsuit was too high.

"Make no mistake - the Stein campaign will continue to fight for a state-wide recount in Pennsylvania. We are committed to this fight to protect the civil and voting rights of all Americans," Jonathan Abady, the lead counsel for Jill Stein's recount bid, said in a statement on Sunday.

"The barriers to verifying the vote in Pennsylvania are so pervasive and that the state court system is so ill-equipped to address this problem, we must seek federal court intervention," the statement added.

As a result, Stein is expected to file a new lawsuit with a federal court to demand a state-wide recount "on constitutional grounds," Abady stressed.

In an earlier statement on Saturday, the Stein campaign announced that the Pennsylvania lawsuit was dropped after the Commonwealth Court demanded a $1 million bond from the 100 state residents who had brought the suit backed by the Greens.

On China's negative reaction to Dalai Lama's 14th visit to Mongolia

dalai lama

International news agencies are already beginning to move ahead in the list of the top event involving a five-day visit (from November 18 to November 23, 2016) by the 14th Dalai Lama to Mongolia mainly due to the publicly expressed opposition against China making this visit.

The official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry urged Mongolia in the strongest possible terms to assume "the wider picture of the stable development of bilateral relations" and cancel the visit. In the same statement, the Chinese Foreign Ministry warned the Mongolian leadership against "supporting the Dalai Lama faction's separatist actions".

As the New Eastern Outlook has written many times, the last statement has a long-standing nature when China is discussing various aspects of the activities of the global Buddhism spiritual leader).

In the eyes of Beijing, the current Dalai Lama has since 1959 been serving as the head of the "Tibetan Separatists' Faction", when an armed revolt broke out in Tibet not without external involvement, but was quickly crushed by the Chinese People's Liberation Army. This resulted in the next wave of Tibetan refugees, who moved mostly to neighbouring India.

The 14th Dalai Lama was among these refugees. Since then, his residence and the Parliament and the Government of Tibet in Exile have been located in the city of Dharamsala in Northern India.

Comment: Inasmuch as the Dalai Lama has been used, at the very least, as a symbol by the CIA to rally anti-government movements and foment violent internal dissent, China feels justified in keeping close tabs on his movements.

Paul Craig Roberts: Trump's appointment decisions deserve a chance to prove themselves

Trump on the phone
What do they mean?

Before I give an explanation, let's be sure we all know what an explanation is. An explanation is not a justification. The collapse of education in the US is so severe that many Americans, especially younger ones, cannot tell the difference between an explanation and a defense, justification, or apology for what they regard as a guilty person or party. If an explanation is not damning or sufficiently damning of what they want damned, the explanation is interpreted as an excuse for the object of their scorn. In America, reason and objective analysis have taken a backseat to emotion.

We do not know what the appointments mean except, as Trump discovered once he confronted the task of forming a government, that there is no one but insiders to appoint. For the most part that is correct. Outsiders are a poor match for insiders who tend to eat them alive. Ronald Reagan's California crew were a poor match for George H.W. Bush's insiders. The Reagan part of the government had a hell of a time delivering results that Reagan wanted.

Another limit on a president's ability to form a government is Senate confirmation of presidential appointees. Whereas Congress is in Republican hands, Congress remains in the hands of special interests who will protect their agendas from hostile potential appointees. Therefore, although Trump does not face partisan opposition from Congress, he faces the power of special interests that fund congressional political campaigns.

SOTT Focus: Modern Operation Mockingbird: "Everyone Who Disagrees with Me Is a Russian Propagandist"

fake news
SOTT.net recently had the honor of being smeared as a vehicle for Russian propaganda. The dubious, anonymous "PropOrNot" site listed us as one among 200 or so such websites - witting or unwitting dupes of the Kremlin's propagandists. Thankfully, we're in mostly good company. It's hard to know whether to take them seriously or not. The site gives the impression of perhaps being a too-clever hoax, which would be hilarious given that the Washington Post among others actually takes them seriously. I mean, come on, the first thing you see on their website is a fake interview, conducted by a comedian, with two actors pretending to be Russian propagandists!)

But leaving that aside, it's still rich. Pretty much every alternative news website you can think of is included on the list. PropOrNot's logic seems to run something like this:
  1. Western governments and media say A. (A is true.)
  2. Russian government and media says not-A. (Not-A is not true.)
  3. Alternative media also says not-A.
  4. Therefore, alternative media are either witting or unwitting peddlers of Russian lies.
First, this assumes that the western media and government are telling the truth. Second, it assumes that the Russian government always lies. So the alternative media is put in awkward and contrived position: anytime the Russian government tells the truth, and the alternative media makes the same claims, the latter can simply be written off as Russian propaganda. Which is total nonsense. The fact that the people behind PropOrNot, if they're sincere in their claims, think this is the case says a lot about what they think of their readers: they think they're idiots.
