EXPOSED: Internal Facebook documents reveal actual guidelines for censorship

Facebook Censored
© chicago-d.com
Facebook's reasons for deleting posts seem to be an irrational morass of complexities frustrating its millions of users to no end, given the social media platform doesn't explain itself — but internal documents disclosed in a new report finally reveal why posts are taken down.

German outlet SZ-Magazin obtained internal Facebook documents mapping how the platform determines which posts deserve the hate-speech ban-hammer, but — while certainly enlightening — its formulas will be no less infuriating to advocates for free speech.

"We remove speech that targets people based on a longstanding trait that shapes their identity and ties them to a category that has been persistently discriminated against, oppressed, or exploited," one document states.

Making America Great Again: The Top 10 list of things for President Trump to achieve

Donald Trump
© KATEHON.com 2016Donald Trump
Here is my Top-10 list of things for President-Elect Trump to achieve in the next 4-8 years. If he accomplishes the items listed below, he could become the greatest US president!

However, I do not believe he has the slightest interest in actually fixing any of the country's problems and that his whole presidency will be about hubris, over-reaction, and achieving more fame to help his post-presidency business brand. Nevertheless, I hope he proves us all wrong.

Here are my recommendations:
  1. Expose the truth about 9/11, which was a massive Neocon/ Neolib coup d'état designed to unleash Islamophobia and perpetual war by justifying regime changes in the Middle East in order to benefit international Zionism and vindicate the Israeli raison d'être.
  2. Reinstate the Constitution by repealing all post-9/11 police state legislation and push through draconian restrictions on all forms of spying, and all forma illegal search and seizure, etc.
  3. Push through Steele's Election Reform Act, ending the corrupt two-party duopoly.
  4. Close down many US military bases around the world & return to a defend-the-borders posture. At the moment, United States still maintains nearly 800 military bases in more than 70 countries and territories abroad - from giant "Little Americas" to small radar facilities. Britain, France, and Russia, by contrast, have about 30 foreign bases combined.
  5. Use the savings to rebuild America's infrastructure which is drastically falling apart, especially in former industrial-base states where millions of jobs have been exported to China.
  6. Force giant corporations (US MNCs, as in multi-national corporations) and take away all loophole tax benefits to bring manufacturing jobs back to the United States. If Trump leaves office in 2024 with the percentage of Made-in-USA products equivalent to what it was, say in1970, he will have succeeded.
  7. End the usurping Federal Reserve Banking system and replace it with a government-owned US National Bank that would print honest, Constitutional-bases currency.
  8. Pass and enforce real anti-trust legislation so there can be no more monopolies or collusive trade practices. Period!
  9. Push through the Constitutional amendment that would be needed to end all private funding of political campaigns by the rich and special interests. Also, end the outdated and elitist Electoral College system to make the elections based on popular vote just like any other functioning democracy.
  10. Bust up the big mainstream media into thousands of much smaller pieces & use antitrust laws to keep them small. In the US, 90% of what we watch, listen, and read is owned by six companies. That's a large percentage to just be divided by a factor of six. 30 years ago, 90% of the media was held by 50 different companies but thanks to mergers and buyouts, it's now down to six major companies (until someone else buys another). The reason we never find anything new on TV is that 70% of what is on cable is owned by these "Big 6". That's 1 out of every 5 hours of television. Comcast now owns 51% of NBC, while GE owns 49% further controlling the market with a top cable provider and a top cable channel!

Kremlin spokesman Peskov: 'Russia will never initiate an arms race'

Russia has never been the first to start an arms race in the past and has no intention to do so in the future, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told RT, commenting on Russian President Vladimir Putin's remarks.

"President Putin stated that Russia has never been an initiator of an arms race" and is not going to be the one to do so, Peskov told RT, answering a question about Russia's reaction to recent remarks made by US President-elect Donald Trump, who said in a Twitter post that the US "must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes."

Peskov said that Russia "is seeking a constructive new relationship with Washington to create an atmosphere of mutual trust and [create] global mechanisms for ensuring stability and security."

Peskov's statements echo those made by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who also said during his annual media conference that it was not Russia that started the nuclear arms race.

"The prerequisites for a new arms race were created after the US withdrew from the Anti-Ballistic Missile treaty. This is obvious," he said on Friday during his annual Q&A session with the media earlier in the day.

Comment: Russia stopped having an arms race mentality a long time ago. Their current strategy is based on the premise of having just enough of a capability to make a first strike on Russia detrimental enough for it to not be worthwhile. That doesn't require equal capabilities, just enough to discourage any foreign attacks. And that's enough to be effective.

Obama signs defense spending bill that 'deeply concerns' him into law

With a deadline fast approaching, President Barack Obama signed the latest National Defense Authorization Act to fund the Pentagon in 2017 into law Friday, according to ranking members of the House Armed Services Committee.

Congress passed the military funding bill on December 14, leaving a deadline of December 26 for Obama to sign or veto the legislation. The president chose to sign, rather than let it become law without his signature.

The House Armed Services Committee confirmed the news via Twitter.

The $619 billion bill not only overspends what the Obama administration requested by more than $3 billion, it also increases troop numbers at least 23,000 more than what the White House wanted.

President Obama released a lengthy statement Friday, highlighting portions of the legislation he supports and reluctantly authorized. Among them, he mentioned provisions that put the US cyber command as a fully separate combat command.

Iran has Kyrgyzstan's support for full membership in Shanghai Cooperation Organization

Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambaev says his country supports Iran's full membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Atambaev made the statement on December 23 in Bishkek after holding talks with visiting Iranian President Hassan Rohani. SCO member states are China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, while Iran has observer status.

Tehran applied for full SCO membership in March 2008, but membership was denied due to UN sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program.

After the UN sanctions were lifted in January under an international agreement addressing concerns that Tehran could develop nuclear weapons, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced support for full membership for Iran in the SCO.

Rohani visited Armenia and Kazakhstan before arriving in Bishkek on December 22.

After talks with Atambaev, Rohani said that the meeting focused on Iranian investments in the Kyrgyz economy, gradual introduction of visa-free travel between the two countries, and joint efforts against terrorism.

Rohani said they also discussed cooperation between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union, a regional grouping that comprises Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.

The same week the Dept. of Homeland Security announced it was going to stop its registry of visitors from predominantly Muslim and Arab countries, the US government began asking foreign visitors on the waiver program to volunteer links to their social media accounts, such as Facebook and Twitter.

Foreign travelers arriving in the United States, participating in the visa waiver program, are being asked by US customs and border guards to volunteer "information associated with your online presence - Provider/Platform - Social media identifier".

A spokeswoman for Customs and Border Protection confirmed the program began on Tuesday, according to Politico.

Democracies? Where are the Democracies?

As a former Soviet citizen born in 1970 and a graduate of Moscow State University's department of journalism, class 1992, I belong to the generation that was taught to emulate the Anglo-Saxon standards of journalism.

I remember how in 1986, because there were only two national channels on Soviet television, the whole nation watched the first uncensored interview of a Western leader in the Soviet media - that was the interview of the then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher with three Soviet journalists. Mrs. Thatcher then said a phrase which ran counter to everything our history teachers had half-heartedly taught us at school. She said: "There was no precedent in history when one democracy would attack another one."

Some Israeli military official claim that Hizbullah is using Armored Personal Carriers in Syria, a correct claim, which it received from the Lebanese Armed Forces, a lie. The carriers in question are way out of date tracked vehicles and the LAF once received some upgraded ones from the United States. Israel makes these claims every once a while.

But as was reported when these claims were made on earlier occasions Hizbullah actually took such APCs from the Southern Lebanese Army which was an Israeli proxy force used during the Israeli occupation of Lebanon. When in 2000 Hizbullah finally kicked Israel out of Lebanon, the SLA dissolved and all the weapons Israel had delivered to it were taken into Hizbullah's stocks. They have since been used to fight Israel and various Gulf states proxy Jihadis in Lebanon and Syria.

Following the liberation of Aleppo, Syrian soldiers have made a gruesome discovery while inspecting the freed city: bodies of dead children with signs of fiendish tortures.

Syrian servicemen have discovered the bodies of people, including children, executed by terrorists in one of the schools in eastern Aleppo, military police prosecutor Samer Yousseff told Sputnik Arabic.

"The bodies of the dead children and adults have traces of executions, including cut off heads and gouged out eyes," Yousseff said on Friday, adding that all of the bodies will undergo DNA verification at a hospital.

According to preliminary information, the people were executed four to five days ago, some of them were shot at from a close distance, no more than one meter (about 3 feet), the Syrian police said.
