Best of the Web: Ex-Kissinger State Dept official Steve Pieczenik: You are witnessing a counter-coup assisted by Julian Assange

Dr. Steve Pieczenik

Comment: Though the following was published last November, it serves as a useful indication of the caliber of government insiders who support Trump and would like to see the Clinton/Obama cabal served with justice.

Dr. Steve Pieczenik, MD, PhD, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State under Henry Kissinger and so much more, is a VERY legit sounding individual who claims to be deeply and actively tied to the intelligence community.
Pieczenik was Deputy Assistant Secretary of State under Henry Kissinger, Cyrus Vance and James Baker.[3] His expertise includes foreign policy, international crisis management and psychological warfare.[7] He served the presidential administrations of Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush in the capacity of deputy assistant secretary.[8]
Pieczenik has a message for all of us. For the purposes of painting the most accurate picture, he also believes 9/11 was an inside job, and that the killing of Bin Laden was a hoax. Anyone who shared these opinions has been ridiculed ad nauseam, however recent revelations have blurred the lines between conspiracy theory and reality. Most of us have been performing dizzying mental gymnastics through the the shock and awe of bombshells that have blown the lid off what we thought we knew about government, so perhaps revisiting old "conspiracy theories" is worth consideration.

These videos are the first two in a series from Pieczenik today detailing exactly what in the hell is going on with the Clintons, the FBI, and Julian Assange.

What 'just peace' deal does the Palestinian Authority want from Trump?

Mahmoud Abbas

US President Donald Trump telephoned the Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday and discussed several issues, including his desire to reach a peace deal between the Palestinians and the Israelis. In return, Abbas hailed him and his commitment to the Palestinian cause.

Revealing some of what was discussed between Abbas and Trump, Abbas' spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said: "Trump stressed his commitment to a peace process that would lead to a real peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis."

Going further than speaking about Trump's phone call with Abbas, Abu Rudeineh gave remarks to the press reflecting that Trump could be a saviour for the Palestinians and is a president who is "committed" to liberating occupied Palestinian land from the Israelis. "President Trump is a very honest man, very courageous man and looking for a deal," he said.

Therefore, Abu Rudeineh stressed that the Palestinians are ready to deal with Trump and the Israeli occupation to resume peace talks. "If the Israelis are ready, President Abbas has committed himself to a peaceful deal with President Trump." But Abu Rudeineh did not clarify the features of that deal which he dreams to see fulfilled at the hands of the new "saviour".

Saudi-led strikes in Yemen may amount to war crimes

bombing yemen
Saudi-led airstrikes in Yemen that killed hundreds of civilians may be war crimes, an HRW official told RT, adding that the country has plunged into a "deep humanitarian catastrophe" and calling on the US, UK and France to stop selling weapons to Riyadh.

The humanitarian situation in Yemen is "increasingly unsustainable" and urgent action must be taken by both sides in the conflict, he said, adding that the situation is turning into a "deep humanitarian catastrophe," Ahmed Benchemsi, communications and advocacy director at Human Rights Watch's Middle East & North Africa, told RT.

"More than 3 million people have been displaced in Yemen and more than 80 percent are relying on some form of humanitarian aid. Yemen has the highest rate of child malnutrition in the world now and it is estimated that one in five persons are in severe food insecurity," he said, citing data from the World Food Program.

SOTT Focus: Behind the Headlines: Vault 7, Year Zero, WikiLeaks: CIA Exposed Doing Things the CIA Is Known To Do

vault 7 year zero
WikiLeaks has released a major trove of CIA docs revealing their hacking methods and capacities. Shocking to some, no big surprise to others. Among the highlights: the CIA has the ability to hack a range of household devices without you knowing, and evading even encrypted communications. Your phone, your TV, your car, your toaster. (Well, maybe not your toaster.) But not to worry. The docs reveal a hyper focus on spying on other elites (with the aim of gaining an edge over them) - countering terrorism, not so much. Infection and surveillance of the masses is merely collateral damage on the way to acquiring, monitoring and defeating targeted competitors.

Of more immediate concern for users than whether or not Big Brother is watching is that scammers are taking advantage of the 'cyber Mad Max' reality the CIA et al have created to profit from it. Through incompetence and the open-source nature of information, the CIA apparently lost control over their entire arsenal of cyberweapons. Now they're out there for who knows who to exploit.

Today on Behind the Headlines we'll see what all the fuss is about.

Turkey's President Erdogan has become infected with a new virus strain of the "nazis everywhere"

Tayyip Erdogan, Angela Merkel
It appears that Turkey's President Erdogan has caught a bit of the nazi/fascist virus that is infecting American snowflakes, hollywood actors, and liberal lefties since Donald Trump won the US elections.

In this newest virus strain, Erdogan is seeing nazis, not in the White House, but all over the European Union.

First symptom...nazis in Germany:

Historically, if one wanted to look for nazis, then Germany would be the place to find them, but not in today's modern world. Anything nazi is strictly (and legally) prohibited in the European Union nation state of Germany.

Black Magic

Conspiracy theories that aren't actually conspiracy theories

tin foil hat conspiracy
The internet and social media are wonderful places. They constitute a market place of ideas, but like any marketplace, some watches are Rolex and some are fakes. One could lament the fact that some liberals and globalists still use social media, but free speech is free speech. One has to take the inane with the profound.

But adding to the chorus of annoyance is not just those reading from the post-modern liberal, non-denominational, trans-human, inter-species hymn-sheet. There are also the wild conspiracy theorists. They come in all intellectual shapes and sizes.

U.S. State Department parts with 'moderate' fantasy, designates largest coalition of Syrian jihadists as a terrorist group

They're still moderate deep down
Better late than never.

According to Charles Lister, a senior fellow at the Middle East Institute, the U.S. State Department has designated a newly formed (and arguably the largest) coalition of "Syrian rebels" as a terrorist organization.

Looks like Washington has given up on the whole "moderate" thing.

Israel, Hezbollah brace for all-out conflict

The renewed focus on Iran by the Trump administration has spurred an outbreak of sabre-rattling in Lebanon and Israel and raised concerns that the calm that has existed along the border for more than a decade may be coming to an end.

In Lebanon, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has warned that "there will be no red lines" in the next war with Israel and threatened to strike the Dimona nuclear reactor in the Negev desert and ammonia plants in Haifa with devastating results should Israel attack Lebanon.

In response, an Israeli government minister promised that "all Lebanon would be hit" if Hezbollah attacked the Israeli home front.

Russia is planning use "all sorts of dirty tricks" to meddle in the political life of European countries, British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson warned, though he admitted there is "no evidence" that Moscow is actually involved in anything of the kind.

"There is no doubt that they [the Russians] have been up to all sorts of dirty tricks," Johnson told British ITV's Peston on Sunday show, as he accused Russia of bringing down French TV stations, interfering in US elections, and attempting to assassinate Montenegro's prime minister, Milo Djukanovic, all at once.

He nevertheless confessed that the UK has "no evidence the Russians are actually involved in trying to undermine our democratic processes."

"But what we do have is plenty of evidence that the Russians are capable of doing that," he insisted.
