Official says Israeli delegation will try to persuade White House that cease-fire deal should be amended to make sure Iranian forces, Hezbollah and Shi'ite militias are kept out of Syria.

A delegation of Israeli defense officials will visit Washington later this week for talks with senior White House and American defense officials. Haaretz has learned that the delegation will be headed by Mossad chief Yossi Cohen, and he will be joined by the head of the Israel Defense Forces Military Intelligence, Maj. Gen. Herzl Halevi, as well as the head of the Defense Ministry's political-security department, Zohar Palti.

A senior White House official said that the Israeli delegation will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump's National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster, Deputy National Security Adviser Dina Power, Trump's special Mideast envoy, Jason Greenblatt, as well as other officials.

Washington's policy of nuclear annihilation is the problem

Nuclear explosion
The threats from US President Donald Trump and the Pentagon to "destroy the North Korean people" - said with such casual cold heartedness - shows that the American ruling class has no compunction about committing the supreme crime of genocide against innocent civilians.

Those threats to North Korea, coming in the same week that the world marked the 72nd anniversary of the Americans dropping two atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 killing over 200,000 people, are deeply connected. An understanding of the connection is essential to achieving a peaceful resolution of the current crisis and the avoidance of a catastrophic war.

Speaking from his New Jersey private golf club, Trump glibly said the power that the US would unleash against North Korea would be "like something the world has never seen before". This bravado utterance of carrying out such devastation demonstrates the genocidal mentality that underpins the American rulers. Trump's words were repeated by his Pentagon chief James Mattis who warned the North Korean people of imminent "destruction".

The deep hate of the deep state

deep state
The deep state has deep hate towards Trump. The deep state has been trying to take down President Trump from the very beginning. Former Ambassador to the United Nations: Samantha Power had unprecedented POWER, in the waning days of the Obama administration when she requested hundreds of names to "unmask". Ben Rhodes, former National Security Advisor to former President Obama has also been reported to be a person of interest, in the House Intelligence Committee regarding unmasking.

Disgraced ex-FBI Director Jim Comey is allegedly writing his memoir and cashing-out on his time in the swamp. Comey admitted to leaking classified intelligence to a colleague, and no one in Congress investigates that? No one investigates Susan Rice unmasking hundreds of names either?

Israel's Air Force Chief: We attacked Syrian arms convoys almost 100 times in last 5 years

Air Force Chief Maj. Gen. Amir Eshel
Israel's Air Force Chief Maj. Gen. Amir Eshel
Providing the most specific details yet on Israel's ongoing series of military strikes inside war-torn Syria, Air Force Chief Maj. Gen. Amir Eshel revealed today that Israel has carried out nearly 100 distinct military actions over the last five years specifically related to what they believed were Hezbollah-bound arms convoys.

This comes less than a month after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was caught on an open microphone admitting to "dozens" of strikes in Syria, though obviously this is far greater, because many Israel strikes on Syria clearly were not Hezbollah related.

Comment: One day, soon perhaps, Israel's cowardly and conniving approach to destabilizing Syria and it's allies is going to come back at them. Big time.

Traditional Conservatives: It's time to deal with the cancer of the Alt-right

alt-right
I've had a few days to think about the horrific events we saw in Charlottesville over the weekend. I did a Periscope speaking candidly about the issue, wrote a veritable storm of tweets, lost about 100 followers, shared my prior article about the start of all this "free speech rally" idiocy, the usual. I write this article knowing that it will not get very many retweets, or hearts, or positive comments. I write this knowing I'll be called a cuck, weak, on the wrong side of history, and of course "punching right".

Oh well. The non-right alt-right deserves to be hit, and hit hard.

And no, I don't mean literally "punching nazis".

I have a prediction to make, knowing full well that I might be entirely wrong, and look silly for the rest of my career:

Identitarianism, particularly the adoption or rejection of white identitarianism, is going to be the defining issue on the right within the next 25 years. Furthermore, we need to tackle this issue head-on ideologically, sooner rather than later.

I've said so publicly before.

No one wants to hear it, for several reasons.

The tweet is mightier than the sword: Trump temporarily cuts down Amazon value by $5.7bn with single tweet

Donald Trump
Donald Trump briefly wiped around $5.7bn off the stock market valuation of Amazon on Wednesday, with a tweet attacking the online retail giant for "doing great damage to tax paying retailers".

Amazon's shares lost 1.2 per cent of their value in two hours of pre-market trading after Mr Trump's comments. They regained the lost value after markets opened in New York, trading down up 0.33 per cent by lunchtime.

The President tweeted: "Amazon is doing great damage to tax paying retailers. Towns, cities and states throughout the US are being hurt - many jobs being lost!"

"Grown-ups" versus "ideologues"? The MSM narrative of the White House may be all wrong

steve bannon north korea
The Democrats and the media love the Pentagon generals in the White House. They are the "grown ups":
Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., had words of praise for Donald Trump's new pick for national security adviser, Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster - calling the respected military officer a "certified, card-carrying grown-up,"
According to the main-stream narrative the "grown ups" are opposed by "ideologues" around Trump's senior advisor Steve Bannon. Bannon is even infectious, according to Jeet Heer, as he is Turning Trump Into an Ethno-Nationalist Ideologue. A recent short interview with Bannon dispels that narrative.

Who is really the sane person on, say, North Korea?

Duterte heaps praise on police who killed 32 drug suspects, encourages more deaths to help battle drug war

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte
© AFP/Noel CelisPhilippine President Rodrigo Duterte has waged an unprecedented crackdown on drugs during his 14 months in power, including Monday's "shock and awe" raids that killed 32 people.
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday (Aug 16) urged police to kill dozens of drug suspects every day, as he praised officers who shot dead 32 people this week in "shock and awe" raids.

Duterte's incendiary comments came as he acknowledged major problems in his drug war, which has claimed thousands of lives, admitting he could not win it as quickly as promised and lamenting a corrupt police force.

In one of the deadliest operations of the war, police reported killing 32 people in raids on Monday on suspected drug traffickers in Bulacan province, which neighbors the capital of Manila.

"The ones who died recently in Bulacan, 32, in a massive raid, that was good," Duterte said in a speech to an anti-crime organization that has backed the drug war. "If we could kill another 32 everyday, then maybe we can reduce what ails this country."

Comment: Incendiary rhetoric designed to scare the bejeezus out of drug dealers - or a homicidal death wish? Or both? Whatever the case, the US gov would love to see Duterte painted as an unstable and, therefore, removable leader - in order to usher in a puppet leader of their liking. Keep that in mind whenever you read anything about Duterte.

U.S. news networks devote 77% of airtime to Trump's Charlottesville presser - no actual news

Trump emphatic

In a jaw-dropping spectacle in the lobby of Trump Tower on Tuesday, the President went off on the media while ranting about his response to the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia over the weekend. Trump stepped in it when he appeared to defend the alt-right and doubled down on his original comments from Saturday. The presentation was originally supposed to be the unveiling of an infrastructure proposal that would overhaul the system.

The Big Three Networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) could not get enough of Trump's fiery and furious tirade as he went to battle with the press. And their evening news broadcasts later that day were commanded by the coverage of Trump. Minus their commercials and teasers, the total air time the networks set aside for all their news coverage combined was 58 minutes and 38 seconds. Of that total time, they spent 45 minutes and 31 seconds on Trump's wild press conference (77.6 percent).

The coverage was absolutely pervasive on CBS Evening News, where they dedicated all 21 minutes and 13 seconds of total news time to the Trump show. That's right. They used 100 percent of their air time to talk about what Trump said or tie racism back to him in someway. Nothing else was talked about from the whole wide world of news.

Comment: There's a reason these networks are so unpopular. And now, check out The Economist's latest cover:
economist trump kkk

The image is pure propaganda. As the Hill points out: "The latest cover of the magazine has no headline mentioning Trump or words describing the president's recent actions." A more accurate cover would've been a cartoon Trump denouncing the KKK, which he has done, repeatedly.

Africa's pivotal role in the successful implementation of China's One Belt One Road vision

African port
Africa has been one of the integrally important regions regarding the successful implementation of China's ambitious One Belt One Road (OBOR) project. Just as in Eurasia, China is planning to cover this continent with a network of railroads and highways which will stretch from the ports along the eastern coast of Africa all the way to the western coast. As a result, a merged Eurasian-African economic space will take shape, resulting in the creation of the largest free trade zone in human history.

As of now, Beijing continues implementing its plan for 2016-2018, adopted at the China-Africa Cooperation Forum in late 2015. Back then, China would pledge to invest a total of 60 billion dollars across the African continent, along with taking every effort to develop African road and railway infrastructure as well as ports.

It's safe to state that construction works across the continent is now in full swing, with high-speed highways now stretching across the continent. One such highway goes across the territory of Algeria from east to west. Mind you that Algeria remains one of the largest African states to date occupying a large chunk of land along the Mediterranean coast. As of now, the Mediterranean Sea is where the OBOR reaches its limit.
