Israel's desperation: Senior Netanyahu official threatens to assassinate Assad

Netanyahu Putin
Netanyahu's meeting with Putin in Sochi, August 23rd.

More information has emerged from Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's meeting with President Putin last week. The two met in the Black Sea resort town of Sochi on August 23rd to discuss recent developments in Syria. According to new shocking reports in both Arab and Israeli media, a senior Israeli official accompanying Netanyahu on the trip threatened to assassinate Syrian President Assad by bombing his palace in Damascus, while further adding that Israel will seek to derail the US-Russia brokered de-escalation deal reached in Astana, Kazakhstan earlier this summer.

According to the Jerusalem Post:
A senior Israeli official warned the Russian government that if Iran continues to extend its reach in Syria, Israel will bomb Syrian President Bashar Assad's palace in Damascus, according to reports in Arab media.

Israel also warned that if serious changes do not happen in the region, Israel will make sure the ceasefire deal, reached by the United States and Russia in Astana, Kazakhstan, will be nullified.

A senior Israeli source told the Al-Jadida newspaper that no understanding was reached between the Israelis and the Russians. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did, however, make it clear to Putin that its concerns must be met or Israel will be forced to act.

The warnings occurred in a meeting between Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin last week.

Comment: One can be sure that whatever dose of additional insanity Israel lends to the situation will be answered by Russia - in Russia's usual measured and skillful way. But that doesn't mean it'll be pretty.

SOTT Focus: Unlawful Killing - The Murder of Princess Diana and Why it Matters

Comment: On 31 August 1997, British Princess Diana, her boyfriend Dodi al-Fayed and their driver Henri Paul died as a result of injuries sustained in a horrific car crash in the Pont de l'Alma road tunnel in Paris, France. But was this a tragic accident, or was it made to look like one?

Diana's death caused a profound and global outpouring of grief, with her funeral on 6 September 1997 watched by an estimated 2.5 billion people. More than just a celebrity figure, Diana was loved because she used her fame to draw attention to the victims of wars her patrician peers were (and are) instrumental in causing and perpetuating.

The following article by Joe Quinn, first published in 2013, reviews the case and the findings of a British documentary (Unlawful Killing) that was screened at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, and a couple of other film festivals, before being 'disappeared down the memory hole'.

The mystery surrounding the deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi al-Fayed 16 years ago today was revived recently by the claims of a British SAS sniper whose testimony was part of the trial of another SAS soldier who was convicted of illegal weapons possession. The parents-in-law of the SAS sniper in question, known only as "Soldier N", claim that he boasted to his wife that the "SAS was behind Princess Diana's death".

Unsurprisingly, the media reaction to the story has been to dismiss it, citing, incorrectly, that the investigation into Diana and Dodi's deaths was conclusive, that it was an accident, and that there was "no evidence of conspiracy". In fact, this alleged "new evidence" has done little more than provide the media with an opportunity to, once again, ridicule any idea that there was anything strange about the events in Paris that night. It is also interesting to note that, in just a few weeks, a new film about Diana's life, entitled 'Diana', will be released.

The general consensus among the great British and world public seems to be that Diana and Dodi and their driver Henri Paul died as a result of a car crash caused by pursuing paparazzi. It's rather perplexing that this should be the case because the jury in the official 3-month-long inquiry into their deaths returned a verdict of "unlawful killing" and the paparazzi were exonerated. How does this happen? Well, how did it come to pass that 50% of American citizens believed that Saddam Hussein was involved in the 9/11 attacks, despite the fact that no one, not one person, ever made such a statement publicly?

Answer: The mainstream media's real job is not to report the news but to 'catapult the propaganda' that the 'elite' hope will become the new 'reality' or historical record.

Best of the Web: Agents of Terror on Government Payroll - Part I: Anwar Al-Awlaki

Editor's note: Read this article and extrapolate to many other alleged 'Muslim terror masterminds'. Most likely, all of them were, in one way or another, assets of US intelligence agencies, tasked with creating the 'reality' of a terror threat to the USA in order that the US government could respond by invading and occupying nations around the world as part of the long war against Russia and China and securing the Middle East in particular for the 'new American century'.
FBI terror plots
From quasi investigative reports to legitimate leaks, whistleblowers and numerous court documents, several key 9/11 operatives have been identified and confirmed as assets and or informants of the United States government. All details of these operatives' positions, functions and employment records have been sealed and protected as beyond and above top secret classified. Further, despite the established facts and undeniable trail of evidentiary crumbs, the mainstream and pseudo-alternative tentacles of the establishment continue to downplay or plainly disregard these cases, and parrot the long ago debunked official narrative. According to them the sum of two plus two plus more twos equals ... well, a solid 'zero.'

Terrorist attacks, and the emotions they spawn, almost always prompt calls for fundamental legal rights to be curtailed in the name of preventing future attacks. The formula by now is routine: The victims of the horrific violence are held up as proof that there must be restrictions on advocating whatever ideology motivated the killer to act.

In 2006, after a series of attacks carried out by Muslims, Republican Newt Gingrich called for "a serious debate about the First Amendment" so that "those who would fight outside the rules of law, those who would use weapons of mass destruction, and those who would target civilians are, in fact, subject to a totally different set of rules."

Of Islamic radicals, the former U.S. speaker of the House argued that they do not believe in the Constitution or free speech, and the U.S. should thus "use every technology we can find to break up their capacity to use the Internet, to break up their capacity to use free speech, and to go after people who want to kill us to stop them from recruiting people." In an essay defending his remarks, Gingrich argued that "free speech should not be an acceptable cover for people who are planning to kill other people who have inalienable rights of their own," adding that "the fact is not all speech is permitted under the Constitution."

Comment: One man's hateful idea is another man's conscientious advocacy. You can't legislate good taste or decency, but someone can take away the freedom of speech and expression for everyone in the guise of intolerance, the tightening noose of censorship, the sounds of silence.

A full-blown civil war appears to be materializing with no neutral corners for retreat

At the rate things are going, a full-blown civil war appears to be materializing. Colin Kaepernick began it all with "taking a knee" in protest of the National Anthem. Fast-forward one year later, and read this, released by Yahoo Sports for just how far it has gone:
"The Colin Kaepernick story has gotten seemingly endless attention because its reach goes far beyond football.

A pretty good reminder of that came Saturday afternoon in New York City, which is far removed from Kaepernick's former NFL home of San Francisco. At a rally in Brooklyn, dozens of current and former New York police officers wore shirts that said "#WeStandWithKap" and at the end of the rally they took a knee and raised their fist, according to the New York Daily News.

Kaepernick became a household name when he took a knee for the national anthem last season to bring attention to racial injustice, including police brutality. It also appears to be one reason he has not been signed by any NFL team this offseason.

The police officers noted to the Daily News that they were speaking out against their belief that NFL teams aren't signing Kaepernick as punishment for his protest.

"What Colin Kaepernick did is try to bring awareness that this nation unfortunately has ignored for far too long," said NYPD Sgt. Edwin Raymond, an organizer of the rally, according to the Daily News. "And that's the issue of racism in America and policing in America. We decided to gather here today because of the way he's being railroaded for speaking the obvious truth."
So, now the New York City Police Department weighs in on this. They claim Kaepernick is being "railroaded," eh? Funny: He didn't do it the year he went to the Super Bowl with the 49ers and a billion people were watching. He didn't stand for anything then, and he stands for nothing now. That flag and that anthem represent something...and many died to keep the nation flying that flag and playing that anthem intact. The sad irony of rights under the Constitution is that Kaepernick has the right to protest...a right that was enabled for him to exercise by his betters. Look up the pictures of him and his buddies holding up automatic rifles, standing for nothing except themselves: perfect symbols of a decayed society and a dying empire.

The country is committing suicide as we speak.

Comment: Unfortunately, it looks very much like the US has missed the turning point that would allow it to evolve and survive. Instead, it has encouraged, planned for, executed the dynamics to usurp freedoms and corrupt the free will of the people.

FBI: Lack of public interest in Hillary emails justifies withholding documents

Killary

Hillary Clinton's case isn't interesting enough to the public to justify releasing the FBI's files on her, the bureau said this week in rejecting an open-records request by a lawyer seeking to have the former secretary of state punished for perjury.

Ty Clevenger has been trying to get Mrs. Clinton and her personal attorneys disbarred for their handling of her official emails during her time as secretary of state. He's met with resistance among lawyers, and now his request for information from the FBI's files has been shot down.

"You have not sufficiently demonstrated that the public's interest in disclosure outweighs personal privacy interests of the subject," FBI records management section chief David M. Hardy told Mr. Clevenger in a letter Monday. "It is incumbent upon the requester to provide documentation regarding the public's interest in the operations and activities of the government before records can be processed pursuant to the FOIA," Mr. Hardy wrote.

Mrs. Clinton, is the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, former chief diplomat, former U.S. senator, and former first lady of both the U.S. and Arkansas. Her use of a secret email account to conduct government business while leading the State Department was front-page news for much of 2015 and 2016, and was so striking that the then-FBI director broke with procedure and made both a public statement and appearances before Congress to talk about the bureau's probe.

In the end, the FBI didn't recommend charges against Mrs. Clinton, concluding that while she risked national security, she was too technologically inept to know the dangers she was running, so no case could be made against her. The FBI says it will only release records from its files if a subject consents, is dead, or is of such public interest that it overrides privacy concerns.

Comment: The FBI is dodging. To whom is it beholding? Certainly not the public. With HRC's position as Secretary of State and her mandate as such to protect and abide by security protocols, the flimsy excuse that she is computer inept would have gotten her fired by any business or company anywhere. No one is fooling anyone. Public interest...you betcha there is.

US praises Israel for treating 'wounded Syrians' including jihadists

Benjamin Netanyahu
"The world needs to hear about the Israeli generosity of treating Syrian patients in its hospitals", the US Special Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt said on Tuesday after visiting the Ziv Medical Center in Tsfat.

"These are the stories of Israel that the world needs to hear about, and stories of this kind show how peace can be achieved in the region", Greenblatt said after visiting the hospital, which took care of hundreds of Syrians wounded in the war, including jihadists.

Comment: Yup, the world does need to know how Israel helps the Syrian jihadists.

According to a US embassy statement, as many as 3,500 Syrians were reportedly treated in Israeli hospitals, including more than 1000 at Ziv Medical Center which Greenblatt toured, and even spoke with some Syrians who are being treated there.

Greenblatt also went to the Gilboa crossing near Jenin to see various Israeli-Palestinian economic projects. Greenblatt's visit comes more than a month after the United States brokered important Israeli-Palestinian economic agreements on electricity and water.

The Axis of Resistance: Russia, Iran & Syria have reduced the Zionist entity to a 'quivering wreck'

Benjamin Netanyahu Putin

Never before has a prime minister of the Zionist entity appeared so confused as did Benjamin Netanyahu in his meeting with President Vladimir Putin. Netanyahu was looking through a set of papers he was holding, as if he's hoping to find a way out. This is the first time he relied on what was written in his notes in such an important summit meeting.

The viewer did not need to hear what he was saying, because Putin's stern expressions expressed his suspicion of the repeated Israeli usual dull hyperbolic claims about the Iranian threat, and the Russian President refused Netanyahu's aggressive schemes. In Pravda's report on 25 August 2017, entitled "Netanyahu's nightmare becomes a reality," the newspaper reveals that Putin answered Netanyahu saying: "Iran is a strategic ally of Russia in the Middle East." And when the latter exaggerated in describing the Iranian threat, President Putin responded: "Unfortunately, I cannot help you here."

Pravda reports that Netanyahu failed to convince Putin of the by-now-boring Israeli argument about "Iranian expansion in the Middle East." Commenting on the Putin-Netanyahu summit, the Israeli newspaper Maariv said in its reports on 23 August 2017: "Israel has become isolated on the international scene." It's only friend now is the ruling Wahhabi families in the Gulf, whose media, representatives and hired mercenaries mindlessly repeat Netanyahu's claims.

Duterte: Anti-ISIS operation in Marawi has entered its 'final stages'

Duterte with army
Philipinnes' President Rodrigo Duterte said that the 100-day confrontation between the government forces and the groups affiliated with Daesh (banned in Russia) in the country's southern city of Marawi was approaching its end, local media reported Wednesday.

"I do not think that the siege in Marawi would be the beginning and the end. It has begun in Sulu many years ago and the number of times that we were humiliated as a country," Duterte said, as quoted by the Philippine Star newspaper, stressing that the counterterror operation was at "the final stages."

Duterte also expressed an intention to increase the number of police units, aircraft and fast vessels to combat the terror threat.

The Pentagon has acknowledged that the number of the US troops deployed in Afghanistan stands at 11,000, significantly higher than figures voiced previously.

The troop levels, aimed at "more transparency," were revealed at a joint news briefing by the Pentagon's Chief Spokesperson and Joint Staff Director Wednesday.

The new numbers add 2,600 to the previously voiced figure of 8,400. They do not, however, represent a troop increase in line with US President Donald Trump's recently announced new Afghanistan strategy.
