Over 100 houses have been razed, scores killed and many declared missing after a tanker conveying petroleum product exploded at Oshigbudu in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue state.
A source in the area told Vanguard that the tanker laden with petrol was travelling from Oweto and heading towards Otukpo when the driver lost control of the truck and it fell over spilling its content at the Oshigbudu/Obagaji junction.
According to him "the whole thing happened suddenly and when the truck fell, the petrol spilt into people's house and a nearby petrol station and there was a huge explosion. "Many houses are presently on fire and most of those living in those houses did not escape because of the manner the accident happened," he said.
Confirming the development, Vice Chairman of Agatu LGA, Mr, John Ikwulono said the accident occurred at about noon.
Ikwulono said "it was a tanker explosion and over 100 houses in the community have been burnt down and many lives have lost been lost. "Though we cannot place a figure on the number of deaths they are actually much.
The truth is that the death toll will be massive because you know that in a house you might have up to 10 persons if not more than that. "And the houses that were burnt down are more than 100. So in each of the houses, there must be a human being living or staying there.
There is no way a house can be completely empty on a Sunday like this. So we have a huge crisis in our hands at the moment. "We are calling on Non-Governmental Organizations, NGOs and public-spirited individuals, the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA and National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA to come to the aid of the people. "The survivors are presently homeless and have lost all their property.
Food will also be an issue for them because without a house how do you get food to eat. We are faced with a big challenge. The injured need help and the dead have to be evacuated without delay, so it is a very serious situation for us at the moment.
"I have already started seeing some of the burnt corpses and non of them can be identified," the Vice-Chairman said.
Mr Ikwulono lamented that the locals were battling the inferno with water and detergent "but their effort is not making any impact though the nearest fire service station is in Otukpo and we were told that the truck in Otukpo is broken down."
When contacted, the State Fire Service Director, Engineer Donald Ikyaaza, said he just received the report but explained that the area (Oshigbudu) "is very far from the state capital."
He stated that the department did not have a substation in Otukpo, but noted that the fire service in Otukpo was owned by the federal government.
Too bad the first video with the good quality cut off just before the explosion. I'm pretty sure that it would have shown us a lesson about fire, explosion, and emergency situations in general.
The two trucks directly behind the truck had no choice but to start backing up as fast as they could which it appears they did. In the rightmost car lanes though, that first dark brown vehicle should have just floored it around to the right as soon as he could. Instead, he dawdled, awestruck, ultimately slowly backing up and probably was killed in the blast that he should have just floored it past ten seconds earlier. (I'd bet that's at least a factor in why the first video is cut off the way it has been.)
The more situations like that one has found themselves in, the better they are likely to deal with it. See,generally, training, muscle memory, et al.
Rowan Cocoan I am impressed with this video from Nigeria. Americans think of the place as 'third world' but our officials and news media couldn't do half as good as they just did: [Link]

April 19 is the first day of the 13 days to May 1 of Satanic ritual day relating to fire - the fire God of Baal, Molech / SunGod. This day is a major human sacrifice by fire with an emphasis on children. This is what the NWO does to us.
Patrick2017 It is particularly a stellium in Aries (1st sign, youngest of the zodiac) and its fire element. With the South Node in Sagg (fire sign, international width) and Pluto's major involvement. All since 10days +/- AND last Sunday's NewMoon in AIRIES.
LindaMay Good to hear from you LM, Yes indeede it is getting more prevalent and people are waking up to this. I hope you are doing well and life is going your way in the midsts of your Draconian Dictatorship up your way.
My life has not been changed by an iota - i actually prefer the calming down of the non-stop frenzie this spectacle has brought about and my yr ol' mask doesnt carry worms nor do i wear it much. I'm cool. I m glad i have to listen to less babble n chatter.
Patrick2017 (This here's how we handle womin-type troubles down 'round here)
Hey! 'Lovely' Patrick,
Back off,dude - or draw.
RC turns to LM: And you? Bitch, git* yer scrawny ass back in the kitchen? Who gave you permission to wear SHOES?
RC turns back to Patrick: 'Round here, you see sum dumb bitch with two black eyes? Wonder what's up with that?
Bitch didn't learn the first time.
ALL IN JEST! I DETEST males who hurt females! Around here, and for a long time after other places might have given up being honorable with and re ladies for some PC BS, we stayed true to what I guess would/should be called some knight's code of chivalry.
On the rare occasion that a guy and his girl might get into a fight*, while drunk at some bar, if the guy did anything other than run away he would get his ass beat to a pulp in the parking lot. The defense of 'she punched me first and was punching me repeatedly*! was NOT a defense! (And that is how it always should be and will be if little old even me happens to be around.
To use more 'redneck' lingo, "I don't cotton to no guys who harm ladies; no exceptions" Declaration over.
And yes, I've had to run in a situation scarily similar to that; and that is how it should be. (It so much bothers me how all that (chivalry) got lost.)

*While I can do a killer Southern accent, I don't have one, really. I guess it comes from the fact that I lived in CA until I was ~6.
those shoes off and back into that got damn kitchen!
RC
*That means a physical fight; screaming doesn't count.
**I distinctly remember some poor SOB whose already bloody nose DID save him!
Patrick2017 You're reminding me of a time I SERIOUSLY bitch slapped a friend who thoroughly deserved it. I was ~ 17, played racquetball daily - rightly known for my forehand serve which eventually got to way up there >150mph and more (whatever they get to - there were no radar guns in the courts back then). I eventually got ranked at the State level.
SMACK! Let's go at it right now MF!" RIGHT NOW!"
He didn't move. Although it was a thoroughly fair jawbone cheek slap, he still got a black eye (not a bad one though.)* He's still a friend, and though we've never spoken about it with anyone (including those other friends who were there) he remembers it, I guaran-damn-tee he remembers it.

*Which leads my poor brain to this. Another time, when I was ~28?, I was playing RB with an RB friend and he super stupidly jumped out in front of me into the path of my crosscourt kill shot. The RB hit him in the back of his thigh, put him on the floor like a rifle shot. (Huge crowd was watching through the side glass wall in the bar there. In the moments and days after that, I heard repeatedly from several people how in that instant, when I was looking back at the rear wall at the ball, and he inexplicably and beyond way too late jumped from the side wall into the path of my shot, how there was an audible ahh!! (a group rapid quick, deep breath taking sound)* because all could see what was what was about to happen and no one could do a damn thing about it.
POW!!! -SLAPP! and he was face down on the floor screaming. I hate remembering that part even though it was his fault. (Hell, he kept trying to apologize to me!)
I saw him two weeks later; he still was limping and the back half of his leg from ankle to ass and forward to the halfway forward of either side of the leg (the medial line? - like cutting a leg in half up and down from the side) was still dark purple but was by then lightening up. It still frightens me; we humans are amazingly tough and resilient, but life can be more amazingly fragile. If I got hit like that right now? Iโd be in the hospital for sure.
As I get older, that story gets more scary and harder to tell, Iโm realizing as I type it.
I am not joking about any of this stuff - I try my best to NEVER lie here and exaggerations are lies. Also, I know we're all subjective but I'm way less subjective than most - no brag, just fact.
RC
* - it was so cumulatively loud that everyone there heard it over the music and once they stopped worrying and helping me help my friend, their only conversation was 'did you HEAR that?!" Not the smack sound of the ball, but the great breath intake; after all, everyone SAW it. Still scares me. )
Rowan Cocoan Yeah, theres always things we did when we were young not bad stuff like they do in the big cities but some stupid stuff like drag racing playing chicken and then looking back on it and wonder why you didn't kill someone or yourself. Close calls really woke yourself up to life and how precious and fragile we are. I got in one fight over a girl and after words thought that was stupid and it was. How ever I got in a lot more fights defending friends that were not able to stand up to bullies. I really hated bullies pushing people around weather I knew them or not, I never lost a fight. All my life I stud up for the under dogs that weren't bothering anyone. Theres always some one getting in your face when you just want to be left alone not bothering anyone. One day they'll get beat with in a inch of their life and maybe reflect on that to stop what they do.
I've had enough of someone else's propaganda. I'm for truth, no matter who tells it. I'm for justice, no matter who it's for or against. I'm a human being first and foremost, and as such I am for whoever and whatever benefits humanity as a whole.

No one who helped the pharmacide to happen will be forgotten. And will be taken care of when the time has come. For good.
