Although the literal definition of "atheist" is "a person who believes that God does not exist," according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, 8% of those who call themselves atheists also say they believe in God or a universal spirit. Indeed, 2% say they are "absolutely certain" about the existence of God or a universal spirit. Alternatively, there are many people who fit the dictionary definition of "atheist" but do not call themselves atheists. About three times as many Americans say they do not believe in God or a universal spirit (9%) as say they are atheists (3%).See also:
irrational beliefs such as life after death, astrology, and the existence of a universal life-force.These are only "irrational" to a materialist.
Atheism and agnosticism is a flag of convenience. I notice they use Jesus Christ as a curse word, so I am pretty sure they believe like the devils believe. No, agnosticism is saying that one does not want to believe in a god, etc because it's subjective and not repeatable. It's logical and also at the same time not lying as atheists do where they somehow prove that something doesn't exist (which you can't do).
How do you call those who hope there is a God ?If someone is hoping for a God, then they might as well believe in one. I used to be in that boat. But now I can accept that "I" may never know, even after I die.
Option 2- We've been genetically created by some ET's using their genes and genes from the most advanced species of apes. I favor that one for a number of reasons. We all have natural instincts shared by most indigenous species of this planet but we behave in a manner at odds with the rest of the being here with our almost total disregard for the planet that fed us. We don't behave as we are from here. And what about this obsession with a yellow metal we cannot eat anyway ? Where does that come from ? Gold has had a preponderant place since the most ancient times. Why ? An early human found a gold nugget, thought it was pretty, kept it and suddenly everyone else wanted one and more and more ? Naw. I don't buy that. What about speech ? Where do vocal cords come from ? Natural necessity ? Bovine caca (is that a bad word...) I say. All species would benefit from a more elaborate language. Yes animals have body language and their own vocalisations but so did we I am sure before our vocal cords came along. So why humans and no other species ? Also, no fur... We did not shed the fur because we could make a fire in a cave. What really happen there ?Good point here. That was one of the thoughts that drove me up the wall and actually shifted me into not having faith in non-physical things. Then I discovered the Bicameral Mind theory, which has been called junk by Mandatory Intellectomy here. So, you decide.
Anyway, just my thoughts and i am at peace with that and with the beliefs of others regardless of the belief except the radicals of all stripes.
I'll finish by saying I'd love to visit locked rooms in the Smithsonian museum. There might very well be answers there.
LMAOSheep? If you go without needing a spirit, you have the 'vibration' of a human.
How about, the spirit whether real or imagined, that we try to emulate to reach as high into our innerminds as is possible..
The most high vibrational state.
Your belief in nothing is a wish to have the vibrational frequency of a sheep.
Thats cool, but keep it to yourself
... no need for vibration, spirits, or innermindsthanks for covering my ass here (i didn't even realize it was under attack)
Your belief in nothing is a wish to have the vibrational frequency of a sheep.thanks, that's a good one! i'll keep it in my mind
Thats cool, but keep it to yourselfcan't see why not. i will try to
Turned out they didn't really know what they believed, they only believed what they were told to believe haha...
