islamophobia
Ignorance endangers.
A 15-year-old boy of Moroccan descent from Genk, Belgium, Ramzi Mohammad Kaddouri, passed away earlier this month due to a quad accident while he was on holiday in Morocco. A facebook page titled 'Vlaamse Verdedigings Liga' (Flemish Defense League) posted a message about the boy who was killed. Reactions from facebook users to the tragic news were shocking to say the least. A few examples:
"Quick !! Give all Moroccans a quad !!"

"Too bad that there weren't two people sitting on it hahaha"

"lol was it a suicide attack?"

"better one than none. One less of them who won't be hanging out here anymore"

"Unfortunately, most Flemish people look like this one nowadays, in other words with a monkeymouth. Still, one more that we're rid of. Do drive a lot with your quads around."

"macaques [a term used to describe refugees who come from northwestern parts of Africa] aren't Flemish. They're inbred monkeys that have no respect for our culture."

"A quad bought by the money he received from selling drugs or from theft, I bet."
These messages gained a lot of attention, leading to various Flemish politicians to speak out. Responding to these racist remarks, the Flemish premier Geert Bourgeois said: "there is still a lot of work to be done to reach an inclusive society and shared citizenship. People using that kind of language, had better look in the mirror."

Youssef Kobo, who works for the Flemish Christian democrats of CD&V, was the first to condemn these reactions. One day after posting a tweet (see below) that reads: "Reactions on the death of the 15-year-old Ramzi Mohamed from Limburg. That's it, I give up." he received hundreds of hate messages and multiple death threats. Some of them very specific.

He says what provoked people to send him death threats is what Bart De Wever, Mayor of Antwerp and chairman of the largest Flemish political party, wrote in the Belgian monthly newspaper, Joods Actueel (Jewish Current): "I'm more than worried that, meanwhile, Kobo [and his fellow Islamic colleagues] are working [for CD&V] in the cabinet of Brussels. Let me be clear: this is disconcerting."

The most disconcerting part of all this is that, instead of giving condolences to family members and friends of the young boy who had died in an accident, people celebrated his death. This is nothing new however, and it's becoming more and more common for these types of people to show their faces (often on social media, and sometimes anonymous) to express their joy at the death of another human being. There is no narrative or reasoning that can justify this kind of tasteless behavior. Sadly, anti-Muslim sentiment continues to rise.

Refugee phobia

A report published last month by PewResearchCenter (PRC) reveals that people from seven out of ten countries that participated in the survey have more unfavorable views of Muslims compared to last year. PRC further notes that "in eight of the 10 European nations surveyed, half or more believe incoming refugees increase the likelihood of terrorism in their country." In addition, they fear that refugees will be an economic burden, commit crimes or that they won't participate in the broader society. According to the report, people from Greece, Hungary, Italy and Poland appear to express "greater concern and more negative views about refugees and minority groups."

With the recent wave of attacks in France, Germany and the UK, these views undoubtedly will be shared among more Europeans. The fear that welcoming a large number of refugees would potentially open the door to (the US-created monster) ISIS is understandable. But to treat every refugee or every Muslim as a danger to society crosses the line, and supports the PTB's agenda to divide and conquer the people. Yet Europeans, especially far-right activists continue to bully Muslim men, women, and children. To give an example, while the influx of refugees is slowing down in Germany, the German Criminal Police has reported 665 criminal offenses against refugee centers since the start of this year. These include bomb attacks and attempts to burn down migrant facilities.

Where are we heading

As Andrew Lobaczewski describes in his book Political Ponerology:
When three "egos" govern, egoism, egotism, and egocentrism, the feeling of social links and responsibility toward others disappear, and the society in question splinters into groups ever more hostile to each other. When a hysterical environment stops differentiating the opinions of limited, not-quite-normal people from those of normal, reasonable persons, this opens the door for activation of the pathological factors of a various nature to enter in.

Individuals we have already met who are governed by a pathological view of reality and abnormal goals caused by their different nature are able to develop their activities in such conditions. If a given society does not manage to overcome the state of hysterization under its ethnological and political circumstances, a huge bloody tragedy can be the result.

One variation of such a tragedy can be pathocracy. Thus, minor setbacks in terms of political failure or military defeat can be a warning in such a situation and may turn out to be a blessing in disguise if properly understood and allowed to be- come a factor in the regeneration of a society's normal thought patterns and customs. The most valuable advice a ponerologist can offer under such circumstances is for a society to avail itself of the assistance of modern science, taking particular advantage of data remaining from the last great increase of hysteria in Europe.
And what was the last great increase of hysteria in Europe? Nazi Germany, when the Jews played the role of Muslims today.

When we lose the ability to tell right from wrong, and far-right extremists are given more and more publicity to spread their racist comments and radical solutions, further dividing the people and pitting them against each other, the greater the chance that we. as a society. will fail. And every one of us will suffer the consequences.

Now, consider the following (from the European Islamophobia Report 2015, p.126):
It is significant how in 2015 'Block Against Islam' transformed from a social media phenomenon into a Facebook group/page called 'We Don´t Want Islam in the Czech Republic' (the Czech acronym IVCRN) and led by associate professor and entomologist Mr. Martin Konvička into a future political party. Konvička was charged on 18 November with inciting hatred against Muslims because of remarks he posted on Facebook.

These remarks include sending Muslims to concentration camps, promising to grind Muslims into a meat and bone meal after winning the elections, etc. He also calls Islam a "freak show", says Islam is bad and ugly and that Muslims lie when interpreting the Quran. Konvička's Bloc has been called a xenophobic sect by Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka (Czech Social Democratic Party - ČSSD).
That's right, Mr. Konvička, who shared the stage with the Czech President on the country's National Day on 17 November, openly called for a 'final solution' for all Muslims. The last time we heard talk of annihilating a whole group of people was:
Now, in December 1941, further evidence of the consequence of Hitler's speech on 12 December can be gleaned from the words of Hans Frank, Nazi ruler of the General Government (the eastern part of occupied Poland) - words which he spoke to Nazi officials in Krakow on 16 December.

Frank, who had been one of the senior Nazis briefed by Hitler at the Reich Chancellery four days previously, said that, 'In Berlin,' he had been told that he and his comrades should 'liquidate the Jews... themselves.' And earlier in the same speech he outlined the reasons why this mass murder should take place: 'As an old National Socialist, I must state that if the Jewish clan were to survive the war in Europe, while we sacrificed our best blood in the defence of Europe, then this war would only represent a partial success.

With respect to the Jews, therefore, I will only operate on the assumption that they will disappear... We must exterminate the Jews wherever we find them.'
islamophobia
© L: Comune di Pontoglio; R: histclo.comFrightening similarities between now and then.

Left: The Italian town Pontoglio put up road signs urging non-Christians to adapt or leave. Although not expressly stated, the messages were understood by some to be directed in particular at Muslims, with local residents reportedly dubbing them "no-Islam signs".

Right: These Hitler Youth boys and a SA Stormtrooper wanted to have their photograph taken next to the town's anti-Jewish sign. The sign reads, 'Juden sind in Behringersdorf nicht erwünscht,' meaning 'Jews not welcomed in Behringersdorf'. This was a small town near Nuremberg. The photograph may have been taken in the late-1930s.
The road ahead looks bleak.

The reality is that the majority of refugees seeking a home are not "savages" who have no idea how to respect women, they're also not people who do not wish to integrate, nor do they want to harm anyone - they escaped a horrifying situation, a situation in which many men, women, and children are ruthlessly murdered by the exact same monsters you want to protect your loved ones from. It simply doesn't make sense for immigrants from war-torn countries to harass the populations of their host country and decrease their chances that way.

Do note that I'm speaking of the majority, there may be a few who have nefarious intentions, or those who've been through a lot and due to stress and other factors, start to act violently. But the bottom line here is that the entire 'refugee crisis' could have been avoided if (1) European governments had chosen to work with Russia and Syria to make sure every single terrorist is eradicated in Syria. (2) to make registration more strict and to do background checks on anyone who enters the country, and to not lose track of vast numbers of people, (3) to provide refugees that do enter EU countries with support and guidance so they can contribute to the society in a way that does not hurt native civilians financially, until such time as Syria is safe and rebuilt and refugees who wish to go back can go back.

But, in these times, it is rare for Western government officials to show any willingness to act for the benefit of its people let alone the benefit of others. Thus, perhaps it would be wiser if we all adopted the following perspective outlined by Sott.net editor Joe Quinn several years ago:
So our first efforts must be focused on rejecting the black and white 'us versus them' thinking that has gained much ground over the past few decades. We must stop idiotically decrying the imminent dangers of the great 'Jewish conspiracy' or the Muslim hoard sweeping the world. It is not 'the Jews' 'the Muslims, 'the Christians', 'the Iranians' or any other religious or ethnic group that we should be concerned about, but rather the existence of psychopaths in positions of power who use religious and cultural beliefs to divide and conquer the normal human population. In short, our "self-interest" ought to be invested in collectively ensuring that all others are happy and well-disposed too; and in ensuring that children we bring into the world have the option of being constitutionally happy and benevolent toward one another.

This means that if psychopathy threatens the well-being of the future of normal humanity - which it is doing - then it can be only be dealt with by widespread refusal to allow the self to be dominated by it on an individual, personal basis. Preserving freedom for the self in the practical sense, ultimately preserves freedom for others. Protection of our own rights as the rights of others, underwrites the free will position and potential for happiness and a peaceful future of all.
