SOTT Earth Changes Summary - May 2016: Extreme Weather, Planetary Upheaval, Meteor Fireballs

More and more people are starting to notice that something unusual is going on with the weather (and the planet as a whole). While vaguely acknowledging that all these extreme weather events occurring simultaneously points to their being somehow connected, mainstream media reporting about this, however, remains mired in complete absurdity. CNN, for example, recently reported that "[2016 was] the second year in a row Texas has been hit by one-in-500-year floods."

Last month, more volcanoes erupted during one week than would typically erupt during an entire year in the 20th century. Hailstones the size of tennis balls fell across southeast Asia, while the Indian subcontinent roasted in a record-breaking heatwave for the second year running. Europe experienced record-late snowfall in many places, followed by tornado outbreaks, devastating flash-floods and hailstorms that required snowploughs to clear streets. Wildfires raged across vast expanses of sub-Arctic regions, notably in central Canada, where the population of an entire city was forced to flee.

Month after month, the rain falls harder, the winds blow stronger, and the meteors come closer. Devastated homes can't be rebuilt fast enough before the next waves of natural disasters hit. The leaders of the free world, while waging more wars, plundering more resources, and causing ever more death and suffering, are telling us we've never had it so good.

Based on this snapshot of global environmental upheaval in May 2016, Mother Nature apparently begs to differ...

Last time I linked to one of these on facebook, I got no thumbs up, no replies.

Someone puts up a video of their cat digging in the ground, 10 thumbs up and replies/questions about the cat.

I'm guessing most don't even bother to click on the link. When asked, some say they "don't believe in that stuff" and just want to "stay optimistic. "

I see a new leader in causes of death worldwide -- terminal optimism.

Too true. These days I look around and am reminded of that quote often attributed to Edmund Burke (by JFK) "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing". I seem surrounded by an awful lot of 'good men', doing an awful lot of 'nothing'. It's very frustrating.

Here's my form of optimism: that if the system controllers continue to be able to desperately band-aid together their fragile, brittle, antiquated, unjust, psychotic, humanity-squelching financial, political, warmongering, industrial food, sick-care, fossil fuel, (in)justice ... systems, then the ramping up of the Earth changes will overwhelm these systems and free us from these shackles. OK, it will be turbulent, and for many it will be deadly. But I consider the Earth changes as an expression of the beautiful alchemical fire that has the potential to transform life on this planet for the way, way, way better. I guess one could call that "end-of-cycle optimism." Of course, the more people who are awake as this plays out, the better the chance that what follows the big Earth changes is benevolent.

I know things will eventually be much better. In the end, I'm glad this age is over. It's so amazing to see how most people can dismiss mountains of evidence to order fit their preconceived notions rather than allow the evidence to mold their beliefs. If MSM doesn't connect the dots for them, it's not happening.

I've found every video from the past year and a half to be fascinating/disturbing/entertaining/informative/dramatic/frightening/amazing/well-produced/etc but my social media friends (some of whom are seriously reactionary and all about being hyper-informed) just don't seem ready to engage with them!

Insurance?

Every time I watch a new Earth Changes compilation I wonder about the state of the insurance market these days.

I worked at a private reinsurers (we insured insurance companies) in SF in the 90's, and after the '89 and '94 California earthquakes, plus the Oakland firestorm in '91, most local insurers were left devastated. Many stopped offering homeowners policies for fire-prone areas within the state (most of California in a drought/heatwave!) and nearly all stopped offering quake coverage altogether, though it was usually available under a separate policy at ridiculous rates.

I tried to do a little research last summer on how the global insurance market is doing, but I didn't get too far. Still, every time I see another (now-ubiquitous) car floating away in a flood, I have to wonder how long the whole system's going to last (last I knew as a licensed agent, flood, lightning and wildfire were considered "acts of God" and were guaranteed coverage...)

Insurers seem to acknowledge that natural disasters are on the rise, but claim that global insured losses remain below average. I guess that's because people are buying less insurance because they can't afford it, and/or they see no point in it because insurers are adjusting their terms to 'the new normal', ie becoming stingier with paying out for 'acts of God'?

Munich Re has been kind enough to be publishing an annual "loss events" chart that starts in 1980. I would show it directly here if there were a way to post images in these comments. It's a GREAT chart to show people out there who claim "it's just the internet," that is, their claim that nothing has changed in the world except there's better reporting of earth change events because of allegedly-smart phones and the web. Well, the Munich Re chart shows how wrong they are with respect to floods and storms (the number of damaging floods and storms has *tripled* since the 1980's), though it does not do a good job on earthquakes because, as you pointed out, most earthquakes are not "insured loss events." Earthquakes need a chart of their own. Both charts are provided at the link below. At the link, scroll down about one screen for the Munich Re chart, and two screens below that for the 10-year average chart of earthquakes of magnitude 6 or greater starting in 1982. Both of those charts are though 2013, I'll be doing a new post with the charts through 2015 soon (and the charts through 2015 show that the accelerating trends are intact):

Yep. I think that those who really seek truth, rather than CLAIM they do (as restricted within currently 'acceptable' (P.C.) Western Culture/ MSM-programmed versions of “truth” - a/k/a, lies with enough bits of truth to keep the masses fooled and inactive.

I think it is easier to make the leap to greater objectivity, for those who weren't primed for the P.C./ MSM Version of 'truth' being what THEY say it is. Note: when I say 'primed,' I'm most of all pointing at that greatest mind control machine ever made (at least that we're aware of) - the T.V.

The "positive (mere) thinking will change the world" seems a standard part of those who are self-defined 'liberasl' (idiots), and is a cause/result of some mind control BS program for folks who wish to believe that mere words can be enough, if we all sit down and have a 'love in.' (Meanwhile, the war mongers and psychopathic spies who'd rather know (and keep record of) every individual's every move and every error - after all, we're humans, not Gods - ) than use their high tech toys to actually make life for people, critters and this entire earth better, they, the PTB love the love-in’s way over action. And behind that curtain, the PTB are loving every minute of it that people proverbially 'hold hands and sing Kumbaya' rather than take action; a right which has been relentlessly and intentionally eroded by the PTB.

The other side is the ‘self-defined ‘conservatives’ who watch O’Reilly, et al, and claim to be “Nietzsche will to power” fans. At least they acknowledge the requirement of action to cause change for the better* which theoretically fits with what self described conservatives CLAIM. But in reality, what Nietzsche wrote of is so far beyond the intellect of the dumbed down masses, that they misuse it.** {The way most people 'understand' Nietzsche (and I’m not claiming to any high awareness of him, only more than most AmeriKan Idiots) was best covered by Kevin Kline's idiot character in A Fish Called Wanda.)

LKJ once wrote a similar point about 'beware the 'Optimism Police' who are becoming more of a reality ever day. Our government and business policies are all too often based on this subjective - self defining - optimism, (just believe and you will be! No effort required! Look at this anecdotal example.) Or, “We’re an empire, we MAKE reality,’ et al, ad nauseam. This helps to create all of these absurd government money wasting programs such as those aiming to make pot smokers pretend to agree that they are addicts, etc.

My answer/solution on how to save the world? I too, want to just 'sigh.' But only ACTION will bring about change, and the FEMA camps are waiting for those who avow too much 'action'. (E.g., a part of the reason why people DON'T ok your post is that THEY are afraid!)

Finally I find this subjective and false optimism analogous to those who have half-familiarized themselves with 9/11 truth, must KNOW the official story is a LIE, so they then ‘change their position after consideration of the facts’ to the in-between conclusion that the US, PTB, et al, ‘Let it happen.” The facts prove that impossibility, and that is a MORE ILLOGICAL conclusion than even the NIST whitewash!

The fact is that most people are NOT open minded, original thinkers, and so, the above majority of self-deceived people are the ones who make possible the truism, "All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident."

Meanwhile, and in contrast, SOTTypes and SOTT Folk are the types who stand up and try to explain those truths, as they see them. Indeed, SOTT’s comment makers and writers are the single largest group of open minded folks I’ve ever encountered.

So anyway, here's a more likely bit of a more realistic optimistic view of where we’re going. First, read/re-read Gulag Archipelago, and remember about all the interesting folks he met in the USSR's Gulags, (a/k/a, Soviet FEMA camps). As it seems to me, unless some drastic changes and actions occur, I can see some of us meeting in some camp, working in some Arctic Circle Canadian gold mine, (a la Kolyma) or making little silicon robots, and when we get away with a whisper, someone will say... "Oh, YOU were Lucidity, or Redrock12 on SOTT.. Hi! I'm R.C.!" Sigh.

It's wake up time

Until you all come to the common sense conclusion by using your God given senses, that we are not living on a spinning ball like the one that NASA shows in it's ridiculous cartoons, you will not ever figure out how or why the Earth's climate changes. There is no spinning sphere, no astronauts, no space station, no Moon landings or walks, no rover on the Mars star, no satellites or Hubble telescope or any other thing in orbit. The Earth that was created by the Creator is not a sphere, but is a plane which consists of mountains, hills, valleys, deserts, jungles, rivers and oceans, and you all have been lied to and duped as we all who know the Truth were at one time. Don't let this freak you out, rather do your own experiments using your own eyes, common senses, and basic curvature equations of the concocted ball Earth, and then you may be able to answer some questions that the lying psychopaths and those clowns at NASA have been pulling out of their magic hat to answer for you.
