Stunning aerial footage shows a new island developing off the coast of Fleetwood.
A bank of shingle and stone has emerged from the sea and appears to be a permanent addition to the geography of the area.
Various theories abound as to its origin - ranging from a shift in the natural sediments to the resurfacing of stones from an ancient Roman port.
Phil Hodgson and Joe Helme of Fleetwood-based Vision Air filmed the island using drones after being taken out to the site, around two-and-a-half kilometres off Fleetwood's north shore, by Paul Ashworth of Fleetwood Lifeboat Station.
They carried out a full survey which shows the strip of land is 638 metres long, 10.2 metres high and 3.4 hectares square.

A Holland America cruise ship arrived in Seward Sunday morning with a dead fin whale draped against its bow, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Crew members discovered the dead whale just as the massive Zaandam cruise ship was preparing to dock in Seward at 5:06 a.m. Sunday, Holland America spokeswoman Sally Andrews wrote in a statement Sunday. It appeared to be lodged on top of a bulbous part of the bow just under the water.
"We were saddened by this event," Andrews wrote.
After the whale was reported, investigators from NOAA and members of the Alaska Marine Mammal Stranding Network and Alaska SeaLife Center were dispatched to the scene, said NOAA spokeswoman Julie Speegle. Initially they believed the animal was a juvenile humpback whale, but it was ultimately identified as a fin whale, Speegle said.
Severe floods have hit Texas prompting regional prison authorities to evacuate thousands of inmates, anticipating a deluge. In one prison, the flooding has already caused a blackout leading to a mass brawl between inmates and prison guards.
Texas prison authorities are evacuating as many as 2,600 inmates from two prisons located near the rain-swollen Brazos River citing security concerns. The evacuations began on Sunday morning in the Terrell and Stringfellow Units in Rosharon that are located around 30 miles south of Houston.
The inmates are being transferred by buses to other prisons that have available space, Texas Department of Criminal Justice spokesman Jason Clark told journalists. He also said that additional food and water was being delivered to the prisons receiving the evacuated inmates while sandbags and additional staff were sent to the prisons where flooding is expected in order to limit damage from the floodwaters.

The huge waterspout was found off the coast of the Northern Territory about 11am on Sunday
A huge waterspout off the coast of the Northern Territory had locals standing in the rain with their phones out.
Tony Mashman filmed the spout, which occurred about 11am on Sunday off Dundee Beach - 125km southwest of Darwin - for just over two minutes, and at no point did it show any sign of slowing.
The swirl of the water being sucked into the sky is clearly visible as it joins thick dark clouds in the sky.
'I've never seen anything like that in my life,' said Tony's wife Heidi.
It's one of a number of waterspouts over the last few days, according to Tristan Meyers, a meteorologist from Weatherzone, who said there were more spotted of the coast of Townsville on Monday.
The weather phenomenon is not as rare or unique as you might think, either. Mr Meyers says waterspouts are simply tornadoes over water.
'The only reason it looks different is because tornadoes over land throw up dust and debris, and over water it throws up water,' he said.
