continue to register untimely rains coupled with strong gales for the second day on Sunday, causing losses to farmers drenching paddy produce in procurement centres.Dandepalli, Mancherial, Mandamarri, Bellampalli, Nennal, Bheemini, Kannepalli, Tandur, Kotapalli, Chennur, Vemanapalli, Kasipet, Hajipur, and Luxettipet mandals saw light to moderate rains, recording somewhere between 15.6 mm and 64.4 mm of rainfall. Jannaram, Naspur, Dandepalli and Jaipur mandals witnessed light showers.

. Poles were also collapsed and trees were uprooted, hitting supply of electricity for a few hours. The power was restored by 9 pm. The rains also damaged mango orchards, inflicting losses to growers.Four goats died after being stricken by lightning at Choutapalli village in Tandur mandal.
However, the showers brought down maximum temperatures in the district bringing respite to the public who were struggle to cope with the scorching heat wave conditions.
