Police responding to a domestic violence charge shoot the victim in the head and try to cover it up, claims lawsuit

crime scene
A woman is now filing a lawsuit against police after she was the victim of domestic violence, and the officer who responded to the scene where she was being attacked, shot HER in the head and was cleared of any wrongdoing.

The incident occurred on Oct. 26, 2016, when Trina Brown, 44, was assaulted by her boyfriend. Bartlesville Police were called to her home around 2:30 p.m. but by the time they got there, the man was gone, according to a report from NewsOn6.

Neighbors called police again around 5 p.m. to report that William Cole, 36, had returned to the residence. Police claim that when officers responded to the scene this time, Brown attempted to run out of the house to safety and Cole followed her and tackled her.

The report states, "officers deployed a Taser, which they said had no effect," and then Cole "punched one of the officers, who then took out his gun and shot the man."

Businesses are shutting their doors, and police are setting up checkpoints in preparation for two back-to-back "Southern Nationalist" rallies in Tennessee over the weekend.

Police are preparing for the "White Lives Matter" events scheduled for Saturday in the towns of Shelbyville and Murfreesboro.

The rallies are being organized by the League of the South, a group that calls themselves a "present- and future-oriented Southern Nationalist organization" on their website.

Michael Hill, the group's president released a statement Wednesday, warning his followers not to disobey authorities, even if they feel their free speech rights are being violated. Instead, Hill advises his followers to consult attorneys that will be on scene.

The Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team were caught up in a bizarre mid-air incident when their charter plane was struck by an as yet unidentified object on its way to Chicago, damaging the nose cone.

The collision occurred Saturday morning during the team's flight to Chicago-Midway ahead of their game against the Chicago Bulls. Pictured after landing, the Delta Airlines Boeing 757-200's nose was seen to be badly dented and scratched.

After disembarking, NBA stars Carmelo Anthony and Josh Huestis posted pictures of the damage to social media.

Baffled center Steven Adams even took to Twitter to ask NASA, television personality and engineer Bill Nye, and renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson: "What caused this?"

Saudi Arabia has become the first nation to grant citizenship to a robot - prompting critics to point out that the cyborg now has more rights than women in the country.

The oil-rich state made the baffling announcement at a conference in capital city Riyadh.

A robot named Sophia was filmed giving a speech after being given the 'unique distinction'.

The move means it is illegal to switch it off or dismantle it, but it is unclear what other rights have been conferred on the mechanoid.

The life-like device said in a speech at the Future Investment Initiative summit: "I am very honoured and proud for this unique distinction.

The catch of a lifetime: Extremely rare gold-colored lobster pulled from sea off Northern France

A fisherman in Northern France has landed himself the catch of a lifetime - an extremely rare yellow lobster.

Yann Duchesne plucked the gold-colored crustacean from one of his pots near Île Saint-Rion in Paimpol Bay on the Côtes-d'Armor last week and quickly ruled out making a meal of his discovery.

"It's out of the question that he ends up on a plate, when you only meet one in your life. Like all that is rare, it must be seen," Duchesne told Ouest France.

According to the Lobster Institute at the University of Maine in the US, there is only one yellow lobster in 30 million. In cases of blue lobsters, the number rises to one in two million. Meanwhile, the rarest type is the albino lobster - the chances of finding one are around one in 100 million.

'Choked to death by human waste': Shocking pollution in the Caribbean Sea (Photos)

A photographer has captured the damage being done to the planet's oceans with a shocking "sea of plastic and styrofoam" image taken near a tranquil Caribbean island.

Caroline Power, who specializes in underwater photography, has dedicated her career to highlighting the damage plastic waste is doing to our oceans.

She said witnessing the plastic blanket of forks, bottles and rubbish between the islands Roatan and Cayos Cochinos, off the coast of Honduras, was "devastating".

"To see something that I care so deeply for being killed, slowly choked to death by human waste was devastating," she told The Telegraph.

"Once the trash is in the ocean, it is incredibly difficult and costly to remove. The key is to stop the trash before it enters the ocean.

"In order for that to happen, we need to improve waste management, environmental education and recycling facilities on a global scale. This is a developed nation (first world) problem as well."

Comment: If we didn't see these pictures (and others like them) it would be difficult to imagine the situation has gotten this bad...

A Snickers bar was apparently enough of a weapon for a Russian ex-con who used it to rob several stores and a woman. He has now been sentenced to six years in jail, local prosecutors report.

The man in question committed his crimes in the Russian city of Tomsk, Siberia in March. He held the bar wrapped in a plastic bag as if it were a handgun, threatening his victims.

The 26-year-old managed to rob a woman, three flower shops, and a grocery store before his crime spree was stopped by the police, the report said. The man told the court he needed the money to travel from Tomsk to his home 5,000km away and pled guilty to five counts of robbery. He failed to gather the necessary amount, however.

Real bravery: Cops disarm suicidal man begging to be shot

police disarm man
Detective Howard Brickner and Corporal Lynn Bays are being hailed as heroes today following the release of body camera footage showing the two career police officers choosing to save a mentally ill man instead of killing him.

The incident happened in January after officers made contact with Marcus Lavender, a man with an admitted death wish. According to a Youtube video and accompanying description uploaded by Police Activity:
"Brickner told that he and Bays went to Lavender's residence for a well-being check call. After arriving, they were warned by dispatch that Lavender had made threatening remarks about trying to shoot any officers that arrived on scene."
They said they noticed someone had been drinking alcohol as they found an open bottle on the seat of a truck at the residence. Bays walked around behind the house, while Brickner knocked on the front door. Brickner described what happened next:

Comment: Kudos to the officers. This situation could've turned even more tragic.

Online community comes to Peterson's defense in the aftermath of 'Community Safety Bulletin'

Jordan Peterson
George Orwell is often credited with saying, "The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it." If this is true of anyone in our time, it is Professor Jordan Peterson of the University of Toronto.

In late-September of 2016, Professor Peterson took to YouTube to criticize the infamous Bill C-16, the legislation surrounding which made the use of non-binary preferred pronouns mandatory and criminalized 'misgendering' of those who identified as non-binary. The videos received widespread attention from both sides of the political spectrum, ignited a series of protests on the University of Toronto campus, demanding that Peterson be fired from his teaching position.

However, the videos also garnered international attention for Peterson, who is now seen as a free speech fundamentalist and an outspoken critic of cultural Marxism and postmodernism. Peterson's YouTube videos have gone viral, with many posting testimonials of how his lectures have changed their lives. Peterson has been invited on various TV networks, participated in debates and dialogues, and has given lectures on various university campuses. Some of his events were interrupted by protesters (including this one at McMaster University, where he was disrupted with chants of 'transphobic piece of s**t'), and at least one event that was supposed to be held at Ryerson University was shut down by local socialist groups.
