ICE arrests 150 illegal immigrants in Oakland California, half of those arrested have criminal convictions

Roughly half of those arrested by deportation officers have convictions for assault and battery, crimes against children, weapons charges and DUI.
Federal immigration officials have arrested more than 150 individuals in violation of federal U.S. immigration law in Northern California this week despite the Oakland mayor warning of an impending raid.

U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) made the arrests in the San Francisco Bay Area starting Sunday as part of "targeted immigration enforcement operations," the agency told Fox News on Tuesday.

Roughly half of those arrested by deportation officers have convictions for assault and battery, crimes against children, weapons charges and DUI, according to the agency.

ICE highlighted the arrest of one fugitive of the federal agency in particular, who officials stated is a documented gang member.

Since the 2016 election tech giants Facebook, Google and Twitter have targeted conservative websites and pundits by cutting their social media traffic, blocking their stories from going viral, demonetizing videos and shutting down accounts. This purge is similar to historic movements by totalitarian regimes.

In February Google banned several more conservative channels.

Bombards Body Language was a very popular conservative channel that had 265,000 YouTube subscribers. Her channel was shut down due to her analysis of the Parkland High School student activists. She analyzed David Hogg's body language - one of the high school anti-gun activist leaders. Because of this YouTube shut her account down.

Comment: It's kind of ironic. With Trump in power, totalitarianism is coming to the USA. But not from Trump.

According to the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, 68 million people around the world are or at risk of becoming refugees. The migration of a few million people has already turned the European Union inside out and motivated the election of an America-first presidency. What we have seen so far, though, is nothing compared to what is to come.

Fertility is declining in almost all the educated and prosperous parts of the world, notably including East Asia. But it remains extremely high in the least-educated parts of the world with the worst governance and the poorest growth prospects.

At constant fertility, the number of people aged 20 to 30 years will grow from 1.2 billion to almost 4 billion over the present century, and all of the growth will occur in Africa and South Asia (notably in Pakistan, where total fertility is 3.6 children per woman vs. 2.4 in India). Africa will be the main source of new young people.

Comment: The situation can be laid almost entirely at the feet of U.S. imperialism. In its quest for global domination it instigates wars directly or indirectly in order to maintain control over resources or economic choke points. The fate of the people driven from the area is of no concern.

Monday on MSNBC's "Live With Stephanie Ruhle," while discussing special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe, Sirius XM radio host Mark Thompson said the White House criticizing the FBI was a "high crime and misdemeanor."

Thompson said. "And the other thing, just to draw together, this whole thing with the NRA - the NRA and Trump are attacking local law enforcement. The White House is attacking the FBI. We've never seen anything like this coming from Republicans."

He added, "As I've said on your show before, to me that's seditious, which in and of itself is a high crime and misdemeanor. If I were Mueller, I would go and pick him up today."

Global carmakers at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show have decided against decorating their stands in the traditional manner. This of course means no promo girls sporting miniskirts and stiletto heels.

The decision comes amid considerable pressure from the global #MeToo campaign. According to Bloomberg, nearly all spheres of life are now drawn into the struggle against sexual harassment.

The South Korean company Ssangyong Motor is reportedly planning to replace booth babes, as they are known in the industry, with male and female models dressed in sportswear. Similarly, larger manufacturers including Toyota and Nissan opted not to hire fashion models for motor shows last year.

Skipping school to denounce a Constitution they know nothing about is becoming the Millennials' singular contribution to civilization.

The news has been reporting on the willingness of several schools to allow high school students to engage in a walk-out protest over the continuation of the Second Amendment in this country. Many in the media are lauding this approach to civic behavior. Although, I am wondering if the county will have enough truancy officers after all of these students have to be arrested for skipping school. More importantly, given how ignorant they sound, these students should be required to remain in school and learn something about the Constitution. (Okay, in many schools learning the Constitution is not an option these days, but you get what I'm saying!)

The kids seeking to skip school to protest America's Second Amendment are not allotted the same rights as you and I. They are minors, for the most part. So, while they are certainly free to speak their minds, they are not free to deploy their First Amendment free speech rights as a defense against skipping school without an acceptable excuse. All children in the United States are legally required to attend school of some kind. If not, the state is compelled to intervene and ensure that each child is getting some kind of daily education.

Teachers could soon be carrying concealed guns inside schools in Pike County under a proposal that was preliminarily approved Monday evening by the Pike County School Board.

The unanimous decision came after the board heard concerns about school safety from teachers, parents and administrators during a town hall meeting at Pike County Central High School. The discussion was prompted by multiple school shootings in recent weeks, including one at Marshall County High School in Western Kentucky that left two dead and another in Florida that left 17 dead.

The motion authorizes the school board's attorney to work with the Pike County Sheriff's Office, which would oversee the program, to finalize a formal policy for the school board to consider.

Pike County Schools Superintendent Reed Adkins said he hopes the board will give final approval within two to three weeks, and to have armed staff in schools by fall, if not sooner.

An Alabama death row inmate, whose Thursday lethal injection execution was called off at the last minute, likely sustainied internal damage as the state tried to find a vein to inject the drugs, his lawyer said Monday.

The state may have punctured his bladder, an artery, or both, during the approximately two-and-a-half hours spent preparing inmate Doyle Lee Hamm for execution, said Hamm's attorney, Bernard Harcourt.

"It was a botched execution," Harcourt said about Thursday night's execution attempt.

Hamm was set to be executed on Thursday, but the execution was called off after medical personnel couldn't find a vein to insert the catheter needed for the lethal drugs. A review of the execution attempt was set for Monday morning in U.S. Chief District Judge Karon O Bowdre's courtroom, but that hearing was cancelled Friday after a telephone conference between Harcourt and officials from the Alabama Attorney General's Office.

A Rohnert Park woman who is accused of running a 150-woman prostitution ring with her son is also a prolific author of feminist erotica, a crime reporter at the Santa Rosa Press Democrat discovered Tuesday during a jailhouse interview.

The woman, 59-year-old Fay Ruth Romesburg, is accused of working with her son David Scott Romesburg, 38, to lure women into sex work and then arranging appointments for them at three properties, one in Rohnert Park and two in Santa Rosa, taking a cut of their earnings in the process, police said in January.

David Romesberg is also accused of forcing one woman to continue working until she paid a debt to him, and withholding money from others to meet their basic needs unless they engaged in sex with him or sex work.

In the interview, the elder Romesburg said she is "deeply concerned with female sexual empowerment" and referred to laws against sex work as a "continued assault on women's rights."

Parkland students report mistaking actual shooting for active drill

Students at the Parkland, Florida High School were so confused they thought the pop, pop, pop sound came from an active shooter drill. A father reports that a student told him " they had a fire drill and were supposed to have an active shooter drill."

A new aspect MSNBC is reporting is new to me. Senator Bill Nelson, Democrat, from Florida said the shooter, Nikolas Cruz, wore a gas mask and used smoke grenades "so the kids would come out in the hallways and thus, he had the opportunity with crowded hallways to start picking off people."

Student Rebecca Bogart wasn't sure whether the reports of shooting were a drill at first. The school had a fire drill earlier that day, and she knew it was common to do an active shooter drill. When she saw windows shattered and a bullet near the blinds she finally realized the bullets were real.

It seems to me that these drills are becoming too common to students; therefore, they can not be expected to distinguish between them and reality. I think this is the real problem we have here. Plus the fact that Nikolas Cruz was ignored by authorities, namely the FBI.
