California university offers faculty $1,200 stipends for course on CRT, eradicating 'whiteness'

California State University East Bay (CSUEB) is reportedly offering $1,200 for faculty to attend a professional development program that seeks to understand how Whiteness can be "eradicated."

The College Fix reported Tuesday on the program, which is set for July and will involve multiple sessions on "critical race theory," "becoming an anti-racist educator" and other topics. The university had issued a "call for self-nominations" that was due on May 21, according to the document obtained and published by the Fix.

The introductory section reads in part: "So how do we counter the stories we have been told and that we might even (re)tell to ourselves about how teaching and learning should be? How do we equip ourselves with the knowledge, tools, resources and beloved community to counter the systems of oppression, particularly racism, that saturates us? How can our vigilant work in countering racism also aim toward liberatory conditions where whiteness has been eradicated?"

Bill Cosby's sex assault conviction overturned by Pennsylvania court

cosby
Bill Cosby's sex assault conviction was overturned by Pennsylvania's highest court.

The court said Wednesday that it found an agreement with a previous prosecutor that prevented him from being charged in the case.

The disgraced actor has served more than two years of a three- to 10-year sentence at a state prison near Philadelphia. He had vowed to serve all 10 years rather than acknowledge any remorse over the 2004 encounter with accuser Andrea Constand.

Cosby, 83, who was once beloved as "America's Dad," was convicted of drugging and molesting the Temple University employee at his suburban estate.

Comment: Cosby admitted drugging women in pursuit of sex, and there is a rather large number of accounts from women who describe being drugged and sexually assaulted. In this age, polarization has made people to think in only black and white terms. It's is likely that Cosby is guilty, but it is also likely he and his victims, have been used to further an agenda that manipulates compassion in the pursuit of wreckless power and control.

The weird, creepy media blackout on recent Assange revelations

Assange banner

As of this writing, it has been three days since the Icelandic newspaper Stundin broke the story that a key witness in the US government's case against Julian Assange had fabricated allegations against the WikiLeaks founder. And yet, somehow, Assange is still in prison.

Weirder still, not one major western media outlet outside of Iceland has reported on this massive and entirely legitimate news story. A search brings up coverage by Icelandic media, by Russian media, and by smaller western outlets like Democracy Now, World Socialist Website, Consortium News, Zero Hedge and some others, but as of this writing this story has been completely ignored by all major outlets who are ostensibly responsible for informing the public in the western world.

It's not that those outlets have been ignoring Assange altogether these last few days either. Reuters recently published an interview with Assange's fiance Stella Moris. Evening Standard has a recent article out on Assange's plans to marry Moris in Belmarsh, as does Deutsche Welle. It's just this one story in particular that they've been blacking out completely.

And it's not that the mainstream press are unaware of this story. Mainstream western reporters spend a lot of time on Twitter, and Assange's name was trending in the United States after the Stundin story broke. Tweets about the article by high-profile accounts like WikiLeaks and Edward Snowden have many thousands of shares each. They've all seen the article. They all know it's newsworthy. They're just choosing not to report on it.

Comment: As Caitlin said, the story out of Iceland is significant. SOTT has it here: See also:

Legendary actor and author William Shatner to launch new show on RT America

RT America is proud to announce the premiere of "I Don't Understand," hosted by world-famous actor and author William Shatner.

'I Don't Understand' will see Shatner seeking to answer fascinating and timely questions that pique the natural interest of everyone, but that the establishment media all too often hesitates to tackle.

From "should I worry about space debris falling from the sky?" to "are we alone in the universe?" to "what is dark matter?" to "what was before the Big Bang?" each episode will bring the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor face-to-face with some of today's most perplexing conundrums.

Speaking of his hopes for the show, Shatner expressed the universal, quintessentially human sense of curiosity that informs the show's ethos:
"I have often pondered the questions we should be asking, but perhaps aren't. Just how much stuff is in space? When I really think about it, I realize that I don't understand anything. So, I'm going to ask questions no one else is on TV, and we'll see if we can take a journey to enlightenment together."

Comment: Shatner's on a new trek...will it 'live long and prosper'?

The fifty-year war on America's soul

Road Sign

Some of us remember the good old days of pigskins and leather helmets, when White folks called "Come On Team!" in educated tones from the sidelines. This "Go Team" culture filtered downstream into politics.

We have, for instance, the line from President Biden: "C'mon Man!" It still carries the faint aroma of racist white team sports, only it means: "You can't be serious, pal. Get with the program."

There is also another version: "Come ON." It means something slightly different. It means "You can't seriously expect me to believe this horse pucky."

That was in the olden days, when white supremacy ruled the Earth and Brit colonialists in India decided to forgive the payment of taxes during a drought on the outcome of a game of cricket - at least in the movie Lagaan. And naturally, because it is a Bollywood movie, there is singing and dancing and plenty of costume changes. Of course. Jolly civilized, what?

Comment: While there is enough blame to go around, axes to grind and bushes to beat, we seem to be scant on forgive and forget.

Oxfam under fire for 'divisive' staff survey that rejects 'reverse racism' & calls racism 'power construct' to benefit 'whiteness'

Poverty charity Oxfam has drawn flak for imposing on its UK staff a "divisive" racial justice survey that rejects the idea of "reverse racism" and calls racism a "power construct" made by "white nations" to "benefit white people."

It noted that this power construct was based on "viewing white people as superior" and "underpinned by an unparalleled power structure" - the "by-product" of which was "white privilege."

The survey, which was distributed to its 1,800-strong workforce across the country - some 88% of whom are white - reportedly asked them to state their ethnicity and whether they would describe themselves as "non-racist," "anti-racist," or neither.

The charity - which aims to end global poverty - deems racism to be "about much more than the behaviour of individual people" and considers its "work on racism" crucial to "progressing our wider work on decolonisation."

'Child abuse': Washington Post writer blasted for arguing children should be exposed to 'kink' & BDSM at Pride

The Washington Post has been criticized for publishing an article which argued that children should be exposed to leather and BDSM fetishes at LGBT Pride events.

In an article on Tuesday titled "Yes, kink belongs at Pride. And I want my kids to see it," writer and former sex worker Lauren Rowello wrote about taking her children to a Pride parade five years ago. She said they became confused at the sight of a "bare-chested man in dark sunglasses," suspenders, and a "leather thong" who was being "spanked playfully by a partner with a flog."

Though many in the LGBT community have argued against children being exposed to such sexualized elements of Pride, Rowello claimed that the experience was a good thing.

"When my own children caught glimpses of kink culture, they got to see that the queer community encompasses so many more nontraditional ways of being, living, and loving," she declared, arguing that parents "should hope" that their kids "encounter kink when they attend" Pride because "children who witness kink culture are reassured that alternative experiences of sexuality and expression are valid."

Comment: Alternative experiences of sexuality and expression are meant for adults. Children do not have the ability to properly assess and understand what they experience in those situations. This is why traditional society has chosen to keep such acts on the outside, meant for closed rooms and adults.

Texas AG: Over 500 election fraud cases pending in state courts

Ken Paxton

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said over the weekend that his office still has more than 500 election fraud cases that need to be heard in court.

The attorney general made the announcement after a woman was arrested by the state Election Fraud Unit late last week for multiple counts of election fraud, according to a statement from his office.

"We will prosecute voter fraud every time we find it," Paxton, a Republican, wrote on Twitter over the weekend in reference to the case. "Currently, our office has over 500 cases waiting to be heard in court."

Comment: The Texas courts will be busy for years just dealing with the 2020 elections alone.

Satire under attack - Censors keep coming for The Babylon Bee

Seth Dillon here, CEO of the Bee. I wanted to give you a quick update, as a lot has happened in the past few weeks that impacts our business — some positive, some negative. I've got a lot of ground to cover, but I'll try to break it up into pieces and keep it brief.

Victory Against The New York Times

As Kyle announced in a recent email, we had a big win against The New York Times. In response to our demand letter, they removed their defamatory statements about us and updated the offending article with a correction. The significance of this can't be overstated. If those statements had stayed in print, the social networks (and other vendors we work with) could have used them against us, citing them as cause for terminating our accounts. Instead, there's now a ton of media coverage highlighting the fact that it was The New York Times — not us — that had been trafficking in misinformation.

A big, heartfelt "thank you" to all of our subscribers and supporters who helped make this win possible. We couldn't succeed in these efforts without your prayers, encouragement, and financial support.
