The U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts addressed the recent surge of immigration arrests in Massachusetts, touting the results of months of operations across the state in a news conference Monday.

Officials said nearly 1,500 people have been arrested across the state by immigration officials, 277 of whom have been ordered removed from the U.S. by an immigration judge.

The acting director of ICE called the arrests necessary and said that agents are being forced to take the streets and make those arrests.

Comment: ICE comments on the operation:
More than half the 1,461 arrested had significant criminal convictions or charges. Seven-hundred and ninety of the alien offenders were charged with or convicted of crimes in the United States or abroad.

"We are working diligently alongside our fellow law enforcement partners to make our communities safer through the arrest and ultimate removal of nearly 1,500 individuals who flouted the laws of our nation when they chose to remain here without legal status. Among those arrested include truly alarming criminals: murderers wanted in their home countries, child predators, and drug traffickers," said Homeland Security Investigations New England Special Agent in Charge Michael J. Krol. "Public safety and national security remain our number one priority, and we will continue to work every day with our partners toward this goal."

Throughout the duration of Operation Patriot, ICE and its federal law enforcement partners targeted egregious criminal alien offenders, including transnational criminal organizations known to operate in and around Boston and throughout Massachusetts. These organizations include the notorious MS-13, Tren de Aragua, Trinitarios and 18th Street gangs.

"This was a massive, multiagency immigration enforcement operation aimed at keeping our region safe from habitual lawbreakers who have flouted our country's immigration laws and, in many cases, committed violent crimes that have endangered our families, friends, and neighbors for far too long," said FBI Boston acting Special Agent in Charge Kimberly Milka. "Together, with our partners, we have identified and removed hundreds of illegal alien offenders from the Commonwealth, including murderers, gang members, child predators and a possible associate of a suspected terrorist, and our work is not done."

ICE and its federal law enforcement partners prosecuted numerous targets who had foreign arrest warrants and Interpol Red Notices, apprehending criminal alien offenders wanted by authorities in several foreign countries.

Among the alien offenders apprehended during Operation Patriot, 277 had been previously ordered removed from the United States by a Justice Department immigration judge. However, they refused to comply with the removal order and remained in the country illegally.

Palantir's deepening government ties spark fears of centralized surveillance

On Friday the NY Times published a report highlighting the Trump administration's increasing use of software from data analysis firm Palantir, which has been deployed across at least four federal agencies for the stated purpose of increasing operational efficiency through data modernization.

For now, each deployment of Palantir software is focused on department-specific services, but the fact that they're now embedded across multiple agencies - combined with Trump's March executive order calling for the federal government to share data across agencies - has raised concerns over whether the US government is laying the groundwork for what could become an interconnected and unified surveillance apparatus created by a company which has been in business with the government since 2008.

Comment: Given Palantir's past behavior, the concerns regarding Palantir's data fusion capabilities are well warranted. An eye should also be kept on Peter Thiel's connections with JD Vance.

"Palantir has program[s] called Tiberius & Gotham...used in healthcare &...these programs in Gaza called Where's Daddy and Lavender...used for drone assassinations; all they have to do is [change] those program names...& it's the same program"

Former medical coder, whistleblower, and author Zowe Smith (@Zowe_TKMC) describes for Ryan Cristián (@TLAVagabond) how Palantir — a software company founded with seed funding from the CIA's venture capital firm In-Q-Tel that builds data analytics platforms to help organizations process and interpret large, complex datasets for decision-making — has software programs that are, in essence, dual-use for tracking hospital patients' personal information and selecting targets for annihilation in places like Gaza.

Note that Palantir was instrumental for the execution of Operation Warp Speed per the endeavor's COO, Army General Gus Perna

Both a passenger and a freight train have derailed in Bryansk and Kursk Regions, resulting in multiple fatalities.

The collapses of two bridges that caused train derailments in Russia's Bryansk and Kursk Regions were due to sabotage, the national Investigative Committee has said.

On Saturday evening, a bridge fell in front of a moving train in Bryansk Region, killing seven people and injuring 71 others. Several hours later, early on Sunday, a railway bridge collapsed under a moving freight train in Kursk Region, leaving the driver and two of his assistants wounded.

The Investigative Committee said in a statement on Sunday that the bridges had been "blown up" in both incidents.

Criminal cases have been launched over the bridge collapses and will be investigated by experts from the agency's Main Investigations Directorate, it said.

A bridge collapsed in front of an oncoming passenger train in Russia's Bryansk Region on Sunday, killing seven people and injuring at least 69 others, the region's governor Alexander Bogomaz has said. While the exact cause of the incident remains unknown, Russian Railways said the bridge pillar collapsed due to "illegal interference with transport operations."

The newspaper Izvestia cited a source who said the bridge may have been brought down by an explosion. However, emergency services and prosecutors have not confirmed that a blast occurred. Multiple Telegram news channels have suggested that the collapse was likely caused by sabotage.

Bogomaz has not yet disclosed the number of victims, saying that "everything necessary is being done to provide assistance" to them.

Videos circulating in Telegram show a crushed train carriage with passengers being evacuated through shattered windows, and emergency services responding at the scene. The collapse also reportedly affected vehicles on the bridge, which fell onto the railway below.

Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) reported that fire and rescue units are actively working at the site of the bridge collapse. "All necessary assistance is being provided to the victims. Additional MChS forces, emergency rescue equipment, and lighting towers for nighttime operations have been deployed to the area."

Just days earlier, a freight train in Russia's Belgorod Region ran over an explosive device planted under the tracks, causing a powerful blast. According to the governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, the explosion damaged the railway's contact network but caused no casualties.

Both Bryansk Region and Belgorod Region border Ukraine and have seen numerous attacks.

Martina Bednarova has been given a suspended jail term in the Czech Republic for calling Moscow's military action "justified"

A Czech court has handed a former teacher a seven-month suspended sentence for expressing pro-Russian views during a school lesson, local media reported on Thursday.

Martina Bednarova was also banned from teaching for three years and ordered to complete a media literacy course, according to the Ceska Justice news portal. The court reportedly said Bednarova misused her role by presenting "misleading information" to students.

The incident occurred in April 2022, shortly after the escalation of the Ukraine conflict, during a Czech language lesson at an elementary school in Prague. According to media reports, Bednarova described Russia's military action of Ukraine as a "justified way of resolving the situation" and cast doubt on Czech television's coverage.

Comment: JD Vance was correct when he said that Europe's greatest threat wasn't Russia or China, but their own totalitarian "enemy within".

Gaza: Morality vs. Ideology

Scene of the massacre of the Innocents
© Léon Cogniet (1824)Scène du massacre des Innocents (“Scene of the massacre of the Innocents”), by Léon Cogniet (1824).
In the agon of morality versus ideology, ideology often wins.

Despite all the chaos coming out of Washington, and despite the unending bluster and chest-beating, there is also much consistency when it comes to Israel, and its bloodlust. People often say that President Donald Trump has no ideology and that everything he does is transactional, the "art of the deal." But he also is completely blind to the genocide in Gaza and gushes with empathy for the Israeli hostages. How can this blind spot be explained, if not by way of ideology?

For example, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem visited the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem on May 25, 2025, shortly after arriving in Israel. During her visit, she was seen praying and reflecting at this site. She is an evangelical, which means Zionist, in the end.

Noem was accompanied by U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee and his wife Janet Huckabee. She was welcomed by Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, the Rabbi of the Western Wall and the Holy Sites, and Mordechai (Suli) Eliav, Director of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, who explained the importance of the site.

During the visit, Noem and the Rabbi recited a Psalm and offered a special prayer in memory of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, two Israeli Embassy staffers in Washington, D.C., who were recently killed in a shooting attack. They also prayed for the swift and safe return of all hostages.

At the conclusion of her visit, Noem placed a note in the stones of the Western Wall and inscribed in the guest book: "Israel is God's chosen people - we stand with you." Noem also posted a video of herself praying at the Western Wall, with the message: "hate will not have the last word."

Meanwhile, just a little to the west of that Wall, infants are starving, women and children are shredded to bits by American bombs, or burnt to death in endless holocausts. In Gaza, there are no hospitals, no bread, no water, no place to sleep, no hope of any rescue, because the leaders of the world are too busy looking away.

Hate does not need "the last word" when it has an infinite supply of bombs. Endless sorrow and mourning for two Israeli staffers. Nary a sound for the genocide just down the road. Compassion is the first casualty of ideology.

Documents reveal D.C. Bar bent its own rules, skirted due process to target Trump supporter Jeff Clark

The D.C. Bar skirted its rules dictating how to fairly open a disciplinary investigation to target and potentially disbar Trump-era Department of Justice official Jeffrey Clark, new documents obtained by The Federalist reveal.

During his brief tenure as U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Ed Martin sought information about the D.C. Bar's weaponization of its punishment process against Republican lawyers. His letters to the D.C. Bar's Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) and the bombshell replies he received not only confirm the legal licensing association's lawfare against Clark was inspired by a sitting Democrat senator, but also expose the D.C. Bar for trying to cover up its partisan motives.

In a February 7 letter to the D.C. Bar's Disciplinary Counsel Hamilton P. Fox III, Martin asked the association to produce proof by February 21 that "you are even-handed in your policies" and explain how the Bar handles "clearly politically motivated attacks that come from certain 'public interest' groups."

"This would include something that explains how you limit the targeting of individuals who you may disagree," Martin noted.

Can't make this up: Star Harvard business professor stripped of tenure, fired for 'manipulating data in studies on dishonesty'

Francesca Gino fired harvard lies data studies
© TEDx Talks/YouTubeProfessor Francesca Gino was fired by Harvard University last week after it was found that she had fabricated research used in studies on dishonesty.
Harvard University has stripped a world-renowned scholar of her tenure status. The university's top governing board, the Harvard Corporation, decided this month to revoke Francesca Gino's tenure and end her employment at Harvard Business School.

Gino, who was celebrated for her research on honesty and ethical behavior, had faced scathing allegations of academic misconduct and fraud.

Several sources tell GBH News that Harvard administrators notified business faculty of their decision during a closed-door meeting this past week, and a university spokesperson confirmed the move.

In 2023, Harvard launched an internal investigation into Gino's work after concerns were raised on a blog called Data Colada, run by a group of behavioral scientists who scrutinize academic research. The Harvard investigation concluded that Gino had manipulated certain data to support her hypotheses in at least four of her studies.

Comment: GBH betrays its libtard roots in its bleating about how important foreign students are to propping up Harvard. Here's a thought: maybe the uni's board should dip into Harvard's $53 BILLION (with a 'b') endowment fund to make up the difference?

Trump: the Stupidity Paradox

Taxonomy of Stupidity
© News Forensics
I know a lot about being stupid, having made almost every mistake known to mankind. So I feel qualified to opine on this subject.

First of all, being stupid sometimes is not all that bad,
"Being stupid has its upsides."

― Mats Alvesson, The Stupidity Paradox: The Power and Pitfalls of Functional Stupidity at Work
Alvesson's book, written with Andre Spicer came out in 2016, which is when I read it -- but it is only now getting the attention it deserves, primarily in business circles. The concepts however have ramifications beyond business to all areas of life including the study of human nature and geopolitics.

How to explain it?

Alvesson and Spicer see organizational stupidity as a paradox - ummm....That is to say, not entirely stupid, but at some level rational! Maybe even useful,

First of all, you have to understand what an "organization" is.

Alvesson and Spicer were, of course, referencing business organizations and bureaucracies but an "organization" is just a group of people with a shared purpose, and some kind of division of labor, structure.

In our society we usually take that to mean any institution or group with a hierarchy and power structure.

The BBC's Mark Poynting shows how to spread climate alarm

Mark Poynting BBC
A gleeful, self-satisfied Mr Punch was often heard to remark: "That's the way to do it." Today we examine how Mark Poynting, one of the BBC's top doom-mongering Net Zero activists, uses the trusted 'scientists say' message to turn a centennial sea level rise of around 30 cm into prose stating: "The world could see hugely damaging sea-level rises of several metres or more over the coming centuries". Added fear is inserted into the mix with the warning that the disappearing act will occur, "even if the ambitious target of limiting global warming to 1.5°C is met, scientists have warned".

Poynting and the BBC are essentially telling a worldwide audience that coastal land and beyond across the world could be overwhelmed with several metres of sea rise if the global temperature is three-tenths of a degree centigrade higher. This message properly belongs on a doomsday sandwich board walker, not least because the rise in temperature is almost within the margin of error of constantly-adjusted and unnaturally-heated global temperature datasets.

Extrapolating computer modelled data rigged with improbable 'pathways' that even the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change more or less dismiss as 'low confidence' - that's the way to do it.

FTC investigating 'watchdog' Media Matters over claims of promoting ad boycott on X

Federal Trade commission building
The Federal Trade Commission launched an investigation into Media Matters for America, demanding documents that could reveal whether the liberal advocacy group coordinated with others to pressure advertisers into abandoning X, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk. The civil investigative demand, obtained by Reuters, asks Media Matters to provide communication records with other related groups such as the World Federation of Advertisers.

Government scrutiny rises after Musk's acquisition

This move signals escalating scrutiny from the U.S. government into allegations that watchdog groups may have collaborated to orchestrate advertiser boycotts following Musk's 2022 acquisition of the social media platform. FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson previously warned against such practices in December.

"We must prosecute any unlawful collusion between online platforms, and confront advertiser boycotts which threaten competition," Ferguson said in a statement unrelated to this case.
