Crazy Yats: Kiev intends to approve border 'Wall'

Ukrainian government on Friday will consider Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk's border plan.

"We will approve the 'Wall' project," Yatsenyuk said at a cabinet meeting.

The border with Russia is 2,295 km long. It is necessary to immediately close the border, deputy border guard chief Pavel Shisholin said, when presenting the plan.

The plan calls for immediately starting engineering work to dig a four-metre wide and two-metre deep ditch and equip it with electronic systems. The border in the sea is also planned to be under full electronic monitoring.

Yatsenyuk said the government would apply to the EU for financial aid to impalement the project, adding the government had funds to implement the first stage.

A Russian senator said bridges, not walls and ditches, should be built between Russia and Ukraine.

"Yatsenyuk's statement about construction of a moat or a wall or mining of the border is quite an inadmissible move of history planned by Kiev authorities," Yuri Vorobyov, deputy chairman of the Russian parliament's upper house Federation Council, said on Thursday, commenting on Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk's statement about construction of a wall on the border with Russia.

Comment: Yats shows his true ideological forebears: East Germany and Israel.

MH17: Sinister pretext for war with Russia

Comment: With the recent release of the Dutch Safety Board's preliminary report on the downing of MH17, it's important to keep several points in mind. Mark Whitney's piece below, published 5 days before the DSB's report, points out some of the most important aspects of the information war.

"There is no innocent explanation for the sudden disappearance of MH17 from the media and political spotlight. The plane's black box has been held in Britain for examination for weeks, and US and Russian spy satellites and military radar were intensively scanning east Ukraine at the time of the crash. The claim that Washington does not have detailed knowledge of the circumstances of the crash and the various forces involved is not credible."

- Niles Williamson, "Why have the media and Obama administration gone silent on MH17?", World Socialist Web Site

See: 11 minute you tube "MH17 - We know with 99% certainty who shot down MH17"
The Obama administration has failed to produce any hard evidence that pro-Russia separatists were responsible for the downing of Malaysia Flight 17. The administration's theory - that the jetliner was downed by a surface-to-air missile launched from rebel territory in east Ukraine - is not supported by radar data, satellite imagery, eyewitness testimony or forensic evidence. In fact, there is no factual basis for the hypothesis at all. It's merely politically-motivated speculation that's been repeated endlessly in the media to shape public opinion. The preponderance of evidence suggests a different scenario altogether, that is, that MH17 was shot down by Ukrainian fighters in an effort to frame the pro-Russia separatists and demonize Russia by implication. This is precisely why the MH17 story has vanished from all the major media for the last three weeks. It's because the bloody fingerprints point to Obama's puppet-government in Kiev.

So what are the facts?

French expert says MH17 missile launched from west of crash site, ruling out rebels

The trajectory of the Malaysian Boeing that crashed over Ukraine in July shows the missile that allegedly hit the aircraft had been launched from the areas to the west of the crash area, a French aviation expert told International Information Agency Rossiya Segodnya.

Comment: The alleged location of the rebel Buk system, in Snizhne, is east of the crash site.

General Jean du Verdier, who has previously worked for the French Permanent Aviation Safety Council, said in an interview Monday that if the plane fell near the village of Torez, about 25 miles from the Russian border, according to his calculations, "the shot was fired from deep in the Ukrainian territory."

"The area [where the plane exploded] cannot be near Torez. It is much further to the west! Although this cannot serve as evidence that the missile that hit the plane, if this is the case, was launched from the west," the general said.

Comment: For the sake of argument, if MH17 was fired on by a Buk system, as the Western media and politicians allege, it seems impossible for it to have been done by the anti-Kiev rebels (not to mention incomprehensible - why would the rebels fire on a civilian aircraft, or 'fire blind', when they had never done so before?), according to this analysis posted by the Saker. However, the Ukrainian-operated Buk systems in the area (as revealed by Russian satellite) were in range.

The French expert also complained that the investigation into the Boeing crash is lacking information and there is no surveillance data to confirm his version. Meanwhile, he rejected reports that the Malaysian plane was fired upon by an interceptor aircraft that « neutralized the pilots » and made the plane uncontrollable.

"Of course, the plane could have been downed this way. But this attack could not have taken place without leaving traces on the aircraft itself," he said. "I think that the plane could not have exploded like this if it had been fired upon from aircraft weapons," he added.

Comment: Du Verdier's objection to the idea that MH17 was fired upon by a jet is interesting. First, it would have left traces. German aviation expert Peter Haisenko argues that such traces are visible in the photographed cockpit fragments. Second, such an attack would not have caused the plane to explode in the manner it did. If this is the case, a bomb on the plane might have.

Deleted BBC Report: Eyewitness reports contradict the official MH17 story

Image
© Unknown
The original BBC Video Report was published by BBC Russian Service on July 23, 2014.

In a bitter irony, The BBC is censoring its own news productions.

Why did BBC delete this report by Olga Ivshina?

Is it because the BBC team was unable to find any evidence that a rocket was launched in the area that the Ukrainian Security Service ("SBU") alleges to be the place from which the Novorossiya Militia launched a "BUK" missile?

Or is it because every eyewitness interviewed by the BBC team specifically indicated the presence of a Ukrainian military aircraft right beside the Malaysian Airlines Boeing MH17 at the time that it was shot down?

Or is it because of eyewitness accounts confirming that the Ukrainian air force regularly used civilian aircraft flying over Novorossiya as human shields to protect its military aircraft conducting strikes against the civilian population from the Militia's anti-aircraft units?

Highlights of Witness statements (see complete transcript below)

Eyewitness #1: There were two explosions in the air. And this is how it broke apart. And [the fragments] blew apart like this, to the sides. And when ...

Eyewitness #2: ... And there was another aircraft, a military one, beside it. Everybody saw it.

Eyewitness #1: Yes, yes. It was flying under it, because it could be seen. It was proceeding underneath, below the civilian one.

Eyewitness #3: There were sounds of an explosion. But they were in the sky. They came from the sky. Then this plane made a sharp turn-around like this. It changed its trajectory and headed in that direction [indicating the direction with her hands].

In the name of reason, it's time to back away from the Russian wolf

Image
© AFPUkraine is a uniquely sensitive case for Russia; the countries are bound by deep social, cultural, and historical ties. Kiev is known as the “mother of Russia cities”. And even in Ukraine the Russians want influence, not actual territory.
There is a Russian proverb: "If you can't face the wolf, don't go into the forest." The West has blundered into the Ukrainian forest and enraged the Russian wolf, only to discover that we cannot face him. We should now be looking for the path out.

Western policy has been built on two false premises. The first is that we must stop a revanchist Russia. As this narrative runs: yesterday Russia took Crimea; today Eastern Ukraine; tomorrow - who knows - Estonia, Poland? This precisely mirrors the Russian nightmare of predatory Nato expansion; yesterday Poland and Estonia, today Georgia, tomorrow - who knows - parts of Russia itself? The mutual suspicions of 1914 spring worryingly to mind.

Comment: Except that in the case of Russia, such fears are unfounded. The same can't be said for NATO.

In fact, before what the Russians (with some justification) saw as a Western grab last February for control in Kiev, there was no evidence of Russian revanchism. Those who point to Georgia are wrong - it was the Georgians who started the 2008 war. Meanwhile, Ukraine is a uniquely sensitive case for Russia; the countries are bound by deep social, cultural, and historical ties. Kiev is known as the "mother of Russia cities". And even in Ukraine the Russians want influence, not actual territory.

Comment: Russia is convinced, as is probably correct, that not only was it the Georgians who started the war, but it was the U.S. that incited Georgia to attack.

Ex-ambassadors to Russia: Give diplomacy with Russia a chance

Comment: This piece, penned by three American ex-ambassadors to Russia, appeared in the Op-Ed section of the New York Times, which operates as little more than a propaganda outlet for American elites. So it's a relief to see at least a shred of sanity enter its pages, even if it's still framed in terms of the 'everyone knows' perspective on the events in Ukraine. Comments are included throughout.

The crisis over Ukraine has all but frozen official communication between the United States and Russia. The Russian reaction to the political upheaval in Kiev - the absorption of Crimea, and the armed intervention in eastern Ukraine - and the American responses to those actions have brought about a near-complete breakdown in normal and regular dialogue between Washington and Moscow. Relations between the two capitals have descended into attempts by each side to pressure the other, tit-for-tat actions, shrill propaganda statements, and the steady diminution of engagement between the two governments and societies.

Reports from the NATO summit meeting that ended in Newport, Wales, on Friday indicate that the United States and its allies will respond to Russia's intervention and violence in Ukraine with an escalation of their own - including further sanctions, enhanced military presence in front-line states, and possibly greater support for Ukraine's armed forces. This amounts to more of the same, with little if any assurance of better outcomes.

Comment: No mention of the fact that the U.S. bears full responsibility for the entire crisis. Any time a country takes actions to counter an aggressive, self-serving American initiative in a foreign, sovereign state -- it's an 'escalation'.

What the Western strategy lacks is an equally vigorous diplomatic approach to ending this conflict. Diplomatic efforts should aim to provide Ukraine and its neighbors with a future that can sustain peace and security for all countries in the area; re-establish respect for the core principles of Europe's political order; and open the way for more productive American-Russian relations.

ISIS uses American weaponry, Humvees...

Image
© Conflict Armament ResearchProof terrorism is manufactured by the USA
According to a study released on Monday by the London-based small-arms research group named 'Conflict Armament Research', ISIS has captured "significant quantities" of US military weapons from Syrian rebels. The report includes over a dozen photos showing the weapons are the "Property of US Govt".

How will the American public react to this? We're talking about the same weapons the U.S. government has been giving to 'moderate' Syrian rebels over the last three years. As recent as June 26th, Obama proposed $500 million to arm and train the Syrian rebels. The arming of these militants was controversial from the start.

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who has been paying attention. We already knew the majority of weapons Washington was sending into Syria were ending up in the hands of jihadists because we read about it in the New York Times.

The same 'freedom fighters' we've been warning against arming since the beginning of the conflict, are now admitting links to terrorist groups such as Al Qaeda. Not only that but the FSA admits they actually conduct joint military operations with Al Nusra. In May of this year, PBS interviewed Syrian rebels who were trained by the U.S. in Qatar.

Not only this, but as I'm sure most of you already know, US-made Humvee's and heavy artillery were seized by ISIS from the Iraqi military this summer.

Comment: More pictures of weapons recovered from ISIS are available here.

Israel to blame for obstructing Gaza rebuilding

Comment: Gaza remains an intractable problem with infighting on all sides. But the blame should go to Israel, who foments the discord. It suits them to pit one leader against another, and then complain they are unable deal with either side. Pure Machiavellian tactics and child's play for a psychopath like Netanyahu.

boycoott Israel
Nearly two weeks after conflict ended, agreed on ceasefire terms aren't implemented. Status quo conditions remain. More on this below. It's unclear what follow-up Cairo talks will achieve. Or if Israel will attend.

On September 2, Netanyahu told a closed cabinet session he won't send a delegation to Cairo for further discussions. Operation Protective Edge (OPE) ceasefire terms require both sides to do so. Major issues remain unresolved. So does addressing Israeli violations. Three times post-OPE, Israeli gunboats used live fire against Palestinian fishermen off Gaza's coast. They did so in flagrant violation of ceasefire terms. Two arrests followed. Palestinian victims had their boat confiscated.

Gaza remains a war zone. Communities lie in ruins. Human misery is palpable. West Bank Palestinians are ruthlessly persecuted. According to the Palestinian Prisoner's Society, Israeli forces lawlessly detained 127 West Bank Palestinians in early September alone. Since early June, about 2,000 were arrested and detained.

On Sunday, 2006-elected Palestinian prime minister/senior Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh called for a committee to follow up on implementing OPE agreed on terms. Israel obstructs doing so. Abbas does nothing to help. Fatah/Hamas friction substitutes for Palestinian unity. It's absent when most needed.

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri accused Abbas of criticizing Hamas publicly. His "remarks against Hamas and the resistance are unjustified, and the sources of information and figures he relied on were incorrect and have nothing to do with the truth," he said.

Joint US-Israeli missile "intended to counter future threats" picked up by Russian radar

Image
© ReutersAn Arrow 2 anti-missile missile is test fired from Israel's shoreline towards a target missile launched from a ship in the Mediterranean off the coast of central Israel August 20.
Israel and the United States have conducted a joint missile test of the Arrow 2 interceptor system. It took place over the Mediterranean, according to Israel's Defense Ministry, and was detected by military radar in southwest Russia.

The missile was monitored by Israel's Defense Ministry, who also added that the results were being analyzed by a team of engineers. The test was detected by the Russian Missile Attack Warning System, a defense spokesman in Moscow told the Russian media.

Major-General Igor Konashenkov, from the Russian Defense Ministry, stated that the missile was picked up from the Armavir Radar Station and they monitored it for 40 seconds.

Comment: For more information about Israel and the US' "missile defense" fantasies, check out:
What proof is there that Iron Dome actually is hitting missiles in the first place? Well, there actually isn't any. The few Hamas missiles actually ever launched (by the way, Hamas is a group originally created by and - to some extent at least - still controlled by the state of Israel) do not in fact even have warheads, and are basically hollow pipes and fireworks, as has been seen time and time again in previous Israel-Palestine 'wars'.

Well, it turns out the "Iron Dome" interceptor missiles are a similar scam. They are in fact not intercepting anything, but instead are exploding in thin air, making people believe the IDF is intercepting alleged Hamas rockets, when in reality they're essentially billions of dollars' worth of American taxpayers' money spent on glorified fireworks that self-detonate in the air.

Pentagon: Missile defense 'kill vehicle' still problematic after years of failure, another waste of money

A Pentagon investigation of the "kill vehicle" warhead, part of a weapons system plagued with years of failed tests, found dozens of quality control problems, according to a new report.

The Pentagon's inspector general said in the report released Monday that the "kill vehicle," a warhead meant to intercept missiles, fell short of quality standards in 48 specific cases, including issues with software testing, supply chain demands, and design changes, making the kill vehicle "susceptible to quality assurance failures."

The warhead, known as the Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle (EKV) is built by Raytheon Co. and is part of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system led by Boeing Co. EKVs are launched by a Ground Based Interceptor (GBI), "which is designed to engage high-speed ballistic missile warheads in space,"according to Raytheon. The current procurement cost for each GBI is around $75 million, said Missile Defense Agency Director Vice Admiral James Syring in July 2013.

Comment: The military-industrial complex is one way that psychopathic parasites bilk humanity of their money and energy. From the article, "Missing military-industrial complex money":
"A new report has detailed how the military has cooked the books to hide trillions, that's right trillions, in missing money and equipment. The military calls them "plugs," a curious term for fraud. These are knowingly fake figures used to hide the fact that there is no accurate record of the money.

The plugs are generally the work of the office of the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, the Pentagon's main accounting agency. Required to complete an audit, the staff simply faked the numbers."
