Before absorbing the message conveyed by the mainstream media when they show you images of masked terrorists, (juxtaposed with images of masked special forces) have you ever stopped and wondered how to tell them apart? Why do people wear masks anyway? Wearing a mask obviously helps to conceal identity. When 'officers of the law' hide their faces in this way, we assume it is to to prevent possible "revenge" attacks against him or his family. But is that really the case?

Before we answer that, what about these lunatic Muslim terrorists who carry out attacks like we saw in Paris a few weeks ago? We're told that they wish to die in the name of Allah and be remembered as prophets or martyrs, but they wear masks too. But wouldn't a mask defeat that particular purpose, not to mention being rather superfluous on a 'suicide mission'?

The share prices of major international arms traders jumped in the wake of the British parliament's decision to extend its aerial bombing campaign against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) from Iraq into Syria.

Stock values at BAE Systems, Airbus, Finmeccanica and Thales all soared as trading began on Thursday morning, CommonSpace reports. It comes as Britain prepares to spend millions more on its war with IS, and as an international collaboration against the terror group looks ever more likely.

BAE Systems leapt four points at the start of trading on Thursday. The jump comes as the arms trader's value increased by 14 percent following the terror attacks in Paris which left 130 dead and over 300 injured.

Britain announced it is boosting its military spending and introducing a range of new security measures in the wake of the Paris attacks.

Israel has become the main buyer for oil from ISIS controlled territory, reports al-Araby al-Jadeed.

Kurdish and Turkish smugglers are transporting oil from ISIS controlled territory in Syria and Iraq and selling it to Israel, according to several reports in the Arab and Russian media. An estimated 20,000-40,000 barrels of oil are produced daily in ISIS controlled territory generating $1-1.5 million daily profit for the terrorist organization.

The oil is extracted from Dir A-Zur in Syria and two fields in Iraq and transported to the Kurdish city of Zakhu in a triangle of land near the borders of Syria, Iraq and Turkey. Israeli and Turkish mediators come to the city and when prices are agreed, the oil is smuggled to the Turkish city of Silop marked as originating from Kurdish regions of Iraq and sold for $15-18 per barrel (WTI and Brent Crude currently sell for $41 and $45 per barrel) to the Israeli mediator, a man in his 50s with dual Greek-Israeli citizenship known as Dr. Farid. He transports the oil via several Turkish ports and then onto other ports, with Israel among the main destinations.

Russia's ambassador to the UK has tweeted a takedown of the Tories and Turkey while simultaneously showing support for anti-war Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn - not bad for 140 characters.

Alexander Yakovenko tweeted Corbyn after the Labour leader asked Prime Minister David Cameron about who buys oil from Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL).


Corbyn asked the question during Parliament's marathon 10-hour debate on Wednesday night over whether to extend British airstrikes against IS from Iraq into Syria.

The period before Corbyn's twitter handle means the tweet was intended to appear on the feeds of all Yakovenko's followers, not merely those who follow both Yakovenko and Corbyn.

With Kurdish militia and US Special Forces on the ground, there is a realistic way to shut off the illegal flow of oil from Syria into Turkey, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at talks with his Serbian counterpart, Ivica Dacic.

Sealing the border between Turkey and Syria is more important at the moment than finding out who is buying the oil produced by Islamic State (IS, ISIS/ISIL), Lavrov said while speaking with Dacic in Belgrade on Wednesday. The talks come on the eve of a two-day conference of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), currently chaired by Serbia.

"Rather than launching a lengthy procedure of investigation, one must take an absolutely obvious step, i.e. close the Turkish-Syrian border," Lavrov said, stressing that "Turkey's efforts will not be enough and it will need help,"RIA Novosti reports.

Comment: The Russians are consistent. Yet again, they are offering their Western partners a way out that doesn't entail public 'humiliation'. It doesn't get much clearer than this. It seems Lavrov is essentially saying, "If you get serious, actually close the border, cut off support to terrorists, then we will not expose you as being their benefactor." Any reasonable person would take such an offer and run with it. But the U.S. terror-masters are not reasonable. The way things are going, the U.S. will not quit until it is fully exposed and publicly revile as the terrorist state it truly is.

How did it all happen?

A U.S. Air Force Boeing E-3 Sentry AWACS plane took off on 24 November from the Preveza airbase in Greece. A second E-3A of the Saudi Arabian air force took off from the Riyadh airbase. Both planes were executing a common task—determining the precise location of Russian aircraft. It is they that picked the "victim."

The American E-3A was supposed to determine the activity of the Su-24M2's onboard targeting radar, to determine if it was in search mode or if it had already locked on to a target and was processing launch data. It is known that the AWACS can direct the activity of aircraft in battle, conveying information to their avionics and flight computers.

That is, to determine how defenseless was our plane?

As it turns out, yes. As we know, the Su-24M2 was returning from its mission, and its flight computer was operating in "navigation" mode in tandem with the GLONASS [Russian GPS system.] It was returning to base and was not preparing for action. The whole time, the E-3s were transferring detailed information about the Su-24M2 to a pair of Turkish F-16CJ's. This plane [the F-16CJ] had been specifically built for Turkey. Sergey Lavrov said Ankara is asking for a meeting between the Russian and Turkish foreign ministers during the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Belgrade this week

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Wednesday he is ready to meet with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council due on December 3-4 in Belgrade. "The Turkish side has been insistently calling for organising a face-to-face meeting with the Turkish foreign minister on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council," Lavrov said after talks with his Cypriot counterpart in Nicosia.

"We will not avoid this contact. We will listen to what (Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut) Cavusoglu says. Maybe something new compared with what has been said in public."

Lavrov said he spoke with his Turkish counterpart the next day after the November 24 downing of the Russian Su-24 jet. "I heard nothing new compared with what the Turkish leadership said in public, justifying its unacceptable criminal act."

The Russian Sukhoi Su-24M bomber was brought down by the Turkish Air Force in Syrian airspace, Greek Minister of National Defense Panos Kammenos said in an interview to the Mega TV channel on Wednesday. "The attack (on Su-24M) took place in Syrian airspace. This is beyond doubt," he said. "The Turkish side knows that, otherwise Ankara would ask to invoke Article 5 of the NATO Charter, requesting the Alliance's help."

"This is undoubtedly a military action in the territory of another state," Kammenos said. "But even more important point is the murder of the pilot, who was shot dead by members of the Turkish extremist group Grey Wolves."

Asked which side Greece should take, as a NATO member, the minister said - "the truth". "If Russia had violated Turkish airspace, we would support Ankara", the defense minister said.

An F-16 fighter jet of the Turkish Air Force shot down Russia's Su-24M bomber on Tuesday, November 24. Ankara claims the Su-24M bomber violated the Turkish airspace in the area of the border with Syria. However, Russia's Defense Ministry has said the Su-24M plane stayed exclusively over the Syrian territory and "there was no violation of the Turkish air space."

Turkey's F-16 fighter that shot down the Russian Aerospace Forces' Sukhoi Su-24M bomber was in Syria's airspace for 40 seconds and went inside its territory by 2 kilometers, while the Russian bomber did not violate the Turkish state border, the commander-in-chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Viktor Bondarev, said on November 27.

Comment: Mr. Erdogan, it seems Russia (and Greece) has you "dead to rights," as in absolutely, without a doubt, no alibi, caught red-handed. No amount of fancy explaining, false bravado or coverup can replace the truth.

Russian official welcomes UK airstrikes only in the case they hit terrorists

Russian Federation Council's International Affairs Committee Konstantin Kosachev has said UK airstrikes against terrorists in Syria can be welcomed only in case they hit the announced targets.

"Though this decision (UK involvement in the military operation against Islamic State terrorist organization), just like other actions of the so-called US-led coalition on Syria, have no international legal grounds (while Russia undoubtedly has them), every airstrike against terrorists, if it what it is, hits the sought target that corresponds with our targets," Kosachev wrote on Thursday on his Facebook page. "And this can be welcomed. But I will repeat, only if these airstrikes hit the announced targets," he added.

Kosachev wrote that "it is important that formally the British parliament has made a decision about the country's involvement in the military operation against ISIL militants (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant - former name of IS) in Syria, and not in support of the anti-government opposition."
