The Frankenstein merger: Bayer's bid for Monsanto could create a monster

When he was appointed chief executive of the drugs and chemicals giant Bayer last month, after 28 years with the company, Werner Baumann told investors he saw "no need for a fundamental change in strategy". They expected him to continue the work of his predecessor, Marijn Dekkers.

In Teutonic style, he had cautiously repositioned one of Germany's industrial stalwarts in readiness for the next agricultural revolution. Gradually, Leverkusen-based Bayer had built up its crop science unit, developing pesticides and fertilisers, and engineering new seeds in the hope of capitalising on growing populations and a more unpredictable climate.

Be afraid! US govt warns citizens not to travel to Europe this summer

US perceptions Europe
Don't go! Yurop dangerous!
Europe is not the place to be for American tourists this summer, according to the State Department. A travel advisory warns US citizens there is a risk of terrorist attacks on tourist sites and major events in the Old World until the end of August.

Though no specific threat was named, many European countries have already suffered attacks connected to the so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL). In Belgium, 32 people were killed and 340 injured in the March 22 bombings at the airport in Zaventem and a downtown Brussels metro station.

France is still under the state of emergency declared last November, when terrorists killed 130 and injured 368 in a series of attacks in Paris.

Former Minister President of Brandenburg Matthias Platzeck said that the crisis in relations between Russia and Germany was "unexpected" as both countries seemed to have a strong foundation for friendship and mutually beneficial relations.

The crisis in relations between Russia and Germany, which has lasted now for two years, was a complete surprise, prominent German politician and chairman of the board of the German-Russian Forum Matthias Platzeck said.

"Relations between our two countries are in a deep crisis, which several years ago couldn't be predicted [...] at all," Platzeck said while opening the conference "Potsdam Meetings" in Berlin.

An inquiry into allegations of mistreatment - including sexual abuse - at a Belfast boys' home has restarted amid claims MI5 agents knew about the alleged abuses but chose to use them to blackmail pedophile public figures.

The Historical Institutional Abuse (HIA) Inquiry reconvened on Tuesday to examine allegations dating as far back as the 1970s. It is alleged boys at the Kincora care home in Belfast were subject to vicious abuse.

The inquiry will hear from claimants who allege a VIP pedophile ring preyed on those who lived there.

War with Russia: Washington has already decided

obama chiefs of staff war russia
As Moscow repeatedly out manoeuvres Washington and refuses to rise to Washington's bait, Washington doubles-down and readies for war.

The writing would seem to be on the wall - Washington and its stenographers union (better known as the west's mainstream media) are all fired-up and strategically positioned. The War Party has ascendancy and the window of opportunity is wide open, though slowly closing. The long desired wish to tame Russia is now in its final stage. "American Exceptionalism" must subdue any real or imagined threat. Importantly, intentionally generated phantom threats are given the most attention and media space. Russia is in this category. The reasons are patently obvious:

1. Russia refuses to take the bait: From the proxy-backed South Ossetian conflict in 2008, to the forced regime change in Kiev in 2014, and to the defense of Syria's sovereignty in its fight against western supported terrorists, Russia has stood its ground against western-inspired machinations. In all three cases, Washington's attempt to lure Moscow into confrontation has failed. In fact, the west has been the net loser in each of these foreign policy maneuvers - all three attempts ending in fiascos.

Result: We should expect Washington to up the ante - direct confrontation with Russia via its NATO minions.

Chaos on Syrian-Turkish border is intentional: NATO is protecting Daesh supply lines

syria turkey
An engineered drama unfolds along the Turkish-Syrian border as terrorists armed and backed by a US-led coalition including NATO-member Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar allegedly battle both the self-proclaimed "Islamic State" (ISIS) and Syrian-backed "Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF) near and around the Syrian city of Azaz.

Reuters in a recent article titled, "Islamic State advance near Turkish border, civilians trapped," reports that:
Islamic State fighters captured territory from Syrian rebels near the Turkish border on Friday and inched closer to a town on a supply route for foreign-backed insurgents fighting the jihadists, a monitoring group said.

The hardline group has been fighting against rebels in the area for several months. The rebels, who are supplied via Turkey, last month staged a major push against Islamic State, but the group counter-attacked and beat them back.
Reuters, however, leaves out very crucial information - information that if included, would raise suspicions about the entire narrative alleged across Western media outlets like Reuters.

Israel "remaps" West Bank area to steal more land for illegal settlements

Israel has re-mapped over 15,000 acres of land in the West Bank in an apparent attempt to expand settlement construction, Haaretz reported.

The re-mapping was reportedly completed in 2015 by a special team called 'Blue Line,' working under the Civil Administration.

A total of 240 acres were mapped near the settlement of Nokdim, and almost one acre near Gitit. Almost 11 acres mapped near Tarkumiya are not close to any existing settlement, according to Haaretz.

The move, according to the newspaper, suggests an intention to begin construction on new settlements.

Comment: Israel is attempting to hide blatant theft from the state of Palestine behind a bureaucratic fig leaf. Standard psychopathic operating procedure.

Lavrov: Russia has not forgotten Donbass, recognizing DPR/LPR would nullify Minsk requirements

Sergei Lavrov
Behind closed doors, the West is now putting pressure on Kiev to fulfill the Minsk Agreements. If Russia "slams the door" and decides to recognize the DPR and LPR as separate states, then the Minsk Agreements could be forgotten. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda.

"The door could be slammed and an example could be taken from those who are behind such an ineptitude [to fulfill the Minsk Agreements] and use diplomatic and political instruments to start to threaten that we will recognize them, and that we will introduce sanctions," Lavrov remarked. "I am convinced that this would be counterproductive which, as a minimum, would mean losing the current, albeit "delicate" position of pressuring Kiev," he continued.

The minister emphasized: "Now no one can oppose this document (Minsk 2) in any way, and it is impossible to doubt."

"If we were to now say that 'we have lost patience; we are going the other way,' then they'll say: 'Wonderful,' now the West does not have to put any pressure on the current Ukrainian government whatsoever."

Israel and Saudi Arabia: A covert, cosy relationship

Israel saudi arabia flags
Israel and Saudi Arabia are the best of friends despite what you may think. Their strange geopolitical relationship does not bode well for the nations around them, and could be at the heart of a possible WW3.

Israel and Saudi Arabiahave a snug and cozy relationship. They are, indeed, BFF or best friends forever as a typical Western teenage girl might label them. At first glance, it admittedly seems extremely odd that the Zionist regime of Israel, holding such an antagonistic presence towards Arabs in the Middle East, would be friends with arguably the most powerful Muslim nation in the region (alongside Iran). However, that is precisely what makes their allegiance so dangerous and nefarious. If you don't look closely, you would never expect it. The truth is that these 2 nations have the same geopolitical aims and allies - which bodes ill for Palestine, Syria, Iraq and other "lesser" countries standing in their way. They have a number of common enemies, such as Iran, Shi'a Islam, Hamas, Hezbollah, pan-Arab nationalism and the Muslim Brotherhood. Understanding the depth and nature of the relationship between Israel and Saudi Arabia sheds a clear light on what is happening in the Middle East, the geopolitics of the US-UK-Zionist axis, and the New World Order push towards World War 3.

Clinton crime family: Bill, Epstein, and "Orgy Island"

Just as Hillary's campaign is imploding due to her inability to keep her story straight on her email scandal, prompting even liberal channels like MSNBC to call Hillary a liar, news is starting to filter to the public that hubby US ex-President Bill was not only fooling around with White House interns, but has been involved in a "boys gone wild" sexcapade with billionaire and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The bromance has taken Bill Clinton from orgy plane trips aboard the "Lollita Express", to the lavish private party island dubbed "Orgy Island".

Comment: Dennis Hastert, George H. W. Bush (implicated in the Franklin Scandal), Bill Clinton... What's up with high-level politicians' involvement in pedophilia? Maybe it's like Sibel Edmonds has suggested: you just don't get into a lot of these positions if you don't have 'appetites' that can be used as leverage over you. The result? All the scum rises to the top!
