Illegal incursion? First alleged photo evidence of British presence in Syria

British special forces in Syria
© BBC
Photos purporting to depict British special forces operating on the Syria-Iraq border are believed to be the first photo evidence of UK troops on the ground in Syria. The pictures show heavily armed troops in patrol vehicles near a recent battle scene.

Obtained by the BBC and published on Monday, the photos show several UK patrol vehicles with troops perched atop them and several heavy-duty military trucks in a half-circle, which appear to be watching the perimeter.

The photos are believed to have been taken in June in the aftermath of an Islamic State (IS, ISIS/formerly ISIL) attack on the New Syrian Army, so-called "moderate" rebels, around the Al Tanaf base in Syria, which is on the Iraqi border.

Although the troops appear to be equipped with all manner of heavy artillery and weapons, including sniper rifles, machine guns, and anti-tank missiles, witnesses have said the British forces were there in a defensive role, apparently watching the horizon for signs of a new attack, the BBC says.

Media in her pocket: ABC News cuts Trump off after he says Clinton is the "founder of ISIS"

Trump abc news

Donald Trump was censored by ABC News right after he proclaimed Hillary Clinton helped create ISIS.

ABC News decided to selectively "censor" Donald Trump's speech right after he said Hillary Clinton helped create ISIS.

It is now becoming glaringly obvious that the media is fully in bed with Hillary Clinton, opting to not only spread massive amounts of disinformation and propaganda about Donald Trump...but to selectively omit any talk about the criminal decisions that Hillary Clinton made during her tenure as Secretary of State.

Donald Trump was full into his speech, and just about to blast Hillary for her role in helping create ISIS...
"Take a look at Orlando, take a look at San Bernardino, take a look at the World Trade Center."

"And we let ISIS take this position, it was Hillary Clinton that....she should get an award from them as the founder of ISIS. That's what it..."

Comment: And is it any wonder when we consider this:

Twitter censors #WhichHillary hashtag, shows control Hillary Clinton has over corporate media and this:

The NYT's complicity in Iranian spy's execution

Shahram Amiri
© AP Photo/ ATN1 DK via APTN
Iranian authorities recently executed a scientist for treason after they determined that he was a long-term spy for the United States. The history behind the man is a bit weird. He had, so is said, for some time spied for the U.S. within an Iranian nuclear research center when it was decided to extradite him. He flew to Saudi Arabia from where the CIA brought him to the United States. It paid him a load of money and set him up under a new name in Tuscon, Arizona. The man did not feel well in his new setting. He released a video in which he claimed to have been taken against his will and that he was tortured and pressed by the CIA to spill Iranian secrets. He demanded to be send back to Iran. He arrived there but his story apparently did not hold up. He was eventually sentenced to death and executed.

A weird spy tale and one that certainly still has some secrets. But what is really curious is how one reporter at the New York Times, who once outright claimed that the man worked for the CIA, is now very vague about it. The man is dead. He can no longer be harmed. Why hold back now if not to hide ones complicity in his death?

The Putin-Erdogan meeting: Rapprochement but not realignment

Putin Erdogan
© Umit Bektas/ReutersRussia's President Vladimir Putin and Turkey's President Tayyip Erdogan attend a news conference at the Presidential Palace in Ankara December 1, 2014.
The summit will probably lead to an intensification of relations but no realignment or breakthrough.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan travels to Russia today for a meeting with Russia's President Vladimir Putin, which will be Erdogan's first meeting with a foreign leader following the recent coup attempt. Significantly, as if to lend more symbolic weight to the meeting, it will take place in St. Petersburg - Russia's former capital and Putin's home city.

Erdogan's visit is understandably enough causing growing concern in the West as talk intensifies of a possible Turkish realignment with Russia and the Eurasian Powers at the expense of Turkey's traditional links to the West. In advance of the meeting Turkish diplomats in Western capitals have been working overtime to calm nerves. As I have said previously an outright secession by Turkey from NATO is not on the cards and Turkish diplomats will be assuring Western governments of this and of Turkey's continued loyalty to the US and to NATO.

However that does not mean that the Russian - Turkish rapprochement is of no significance though only time will tell how deep it will be or how far it will go. Erdogan is however known to be furious that no Western leader has visited Turkey since the coup attempt to show support, and he has made it completely obvious through his ministers and officials and through the Turkish media that he suspects that the US had a hand in the coup attempt.

Report reveals the Pentagon doesn't know where $6.5 trillion dollars has gone

A new Department of Defense Inspector General's report, released last week, has left Americans stunned at the jaw-dropping lack of accountability and oversight. The glaring report revealed the Pentagon couldn't account for $6.5 trillion dollars worth of Army general fund transactions and data, according to a report by the Fiscal Times.

The Pentagon, which has been notoriously lax in its accounting practices, has never completed an audit, would reveal how the agency has specifically spent the trillions of dollars allocated for wars, equipment, personnel, housing, healthcare and procurements allotted to them by Congress.

Beginning in 1996 all federal agencies were mandated by law to conduct regular financial audits. However, the Pentagon has NEVER complied with that federal law. In 20 years, it has never accounted for the trillions of dollars in taxpayer funds it has spent, in part because "fudging" the numbers has become standard operating procedure at the Department of Defense, as revealed in a 2013 Reuters investigation by Scot Paltrow.

Comment: A reoccurring theme. Remember Donald Rumsfeld's 'missing' 2.3 trillion on Sept. 10th, 2001? Missing Money

Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, urged the United Nations to update its list of terrorist organizations in due time so that various groups couldn't escape retribution by changing their names.

"The international community has a duty to remain steadfast in the fight against terrorism, the UN must update the lists of terrorist organizations in a timely manner," Lavrov said on Monday on the sidelines of the trilateral meeting between Russian, Iranian and Azerbaijani leaders in Baku.

According to the FM, the terrorists are "attempting to save their lives" by renaming their groups.

"Russia is confident that despite all Jabhat al-Nusra's mimicry it is necessary to continue fight on terrorist organizations and update their lists all the time," he stressed.

In late July, one of the largest terror groups involved in the Syrian conflict, the Al Nusra Front, announced cutting ties with Al-Qaeda and changing its name to Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (Conquest of Syria Front).

Bizarre behavior, seizure allegations: Questions multiply about Killary's health

As the presidential campaign enters its final stages, probing questions have emerged about the health condition of Hillary Clinton.

Hillary' bizarre, erratic behavior on the campaign trail (culminating with last week's perplexing "short-circuit" comment) has left many wondering whether she is seriously ill. Hillary has at multiple times had convulsions that appear to be seizures on camera, including a series of seemingly inexplicable coughing fits.

A frequently referenced video, shown below, alleging that Hillary may have seizure-like conditions emerged several weeks ago and has so far failed to lead to a conclusive explanation whether Hillary may have ongoing health problems and potential residual aftereffects from a blood clot in her brain sustained three years ago.

Comment: It's clear the media is playing down the health problems of the Queen of Chaos. Is she finally experiencing some personal blowback for the decades of world-wide suffering she's responsible for?

Japan's first lady Akie Abe says she is "ready to face criticism" after attending an anti-government rally, protesting the construction of new helipads at the US-operated military in Okinawa.

"This is my first step to create a world of love and harmony," Akie Abe wrote in a Facebook status update.

Abe said she did not inform her husband in advance about what is bound to be seen as a controversial endorsement of the protests, which have been ignored by Tokyo.
