Blairite millionaires, politicians and media tycoons are reportedly plotting to stop Brexit in its tracks, a leaked memo suggests. Virgin Group chief Sir Richard Branson is apparently bankrolling the scheme.

A memo leaked to the Independent suggests the plot has been underway for months, with financial backing secured and a potential CEO for the group identified.

The newspaper claims the information was found in an email penned by Tony Blair's former health secretary and right-hand man Alan Milburn.

The document also reveals how Virgin made at least £25,000 (US$30,000) available to the as yet unnamed group, while PR firm Freuds is working on the campaign's marketing.

Freuds hit the front pages earlier this year when allegations it had been orchestrating a "coup" against serving Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn came to the fore.

A string of high-profile politicians, including one-time Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Labour backbencher Chuka Umunna, have been linked to the campaign. Millionaire musician-turned-philanthropist Bob Geldof is also meant to be involved.

Russian MoD: US should get out of the way in Syria if they don't want to fight terrorists

The Russian Defense Ministry commented on the US State Department's calls not to help tankers shipping fuel to the Russian Aerospace Forces in Syria. If Washington cannot or does not want to fight terrorists, it should not get in the way, the ministry's spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said Thursday.

US State Department's spokesman Mark Toner urged other countries not to provide support for Russian tankers shipping fuel to the Russian aviation group in Syria.

"Such statements, unfortunately, only confirm our earlier estimates that fighting terrorism in Syria has never been on the outgoing administration's agenda," Konashenkov said.

NATO & CIA on the Offensive: 2016 Spy War in the Balkans

Djukanovic and Vucic.
Djukanovic and Vucic.
Introduction

History has shown that intensive spy and covert activities by intelligence agencies in a given geographic region precede and precipitate dramatic political changes. Often, these changes involve violent confrontations and the wide-spread destruction of lives and property. Ordinary civilians suffer the most, while the external actors who direct spy and covert efforts and whose interests the changes represent profit handsomely. Their geopolitical influence expands while extensive natural and human resources come under their control. Just as they have selected those who started the war, they also select those who make the peace. Frequently, these are the same people.

This scenario was played out quite clearly in the wars following the Yugoslav break-up in the 1990s. Those who were in charge in the warring republics during the descent into chaos also led the newly-independent states for years after the fighting was over. This was done with the blessings of the Western political leadership and intelligence community.

The cynical guiding idea was that these leaders, old as they were, would soon die in one way or another (the ex-Serbian president Slobodan Milošević died in the Hague prison under suspicious circumstances), and would be replaced by more pliable, younger individuals.

Anti-Trump hysteria: Orchestrated post election chaos, guided anarchy

Killary vs Trump
America has never faced chaos of this nature in modern times: manufactured domestic political terrorism disguised as civil unrest, masking a coup.

This ongoing "post election coup" marked by engineered "protest movements" and corporate media propaganda constitutes a treasonous direct attack on American democracy guided by Democratic Party operatives and various influential corporate fronts supportive of Hillary Clinton.

The goals appear to be immediate as well as long-term:
  1. Whip up anti-Donald Trump hysteria
  2. Reverse the election win of Trump?
  3. Install Hillary Clinton or face violence?
  4. Threaten and destroy Trump and his administration proactively and presumptively
  5. Intimidate Trump supporters, Bernie Sanders progressives, third party supporters and non-partisans
  6. False flag events and false flag acts may be envisaged. Violence carried out by neoliberal operatives are attributed to Trump supporters, so that they become targets for further violence
  7. Eventually Push for the impeachment of Trump if he manages to take office
  8. Trigger social conflict/ political divisions (civil war) and exploitable chaos
Just as the global "war on terrorism" is treason disguised as "freedom fighting" and "the defense of liberty", this war against Trump, the "new Hitler" and his fascism/racism/misogyny/xenophobia disguises a domestic terror agenda by the protagonists of the New World Order, who are applying techniques reminiscent of the Third Reich, from Brownshirt-style violence to insidious propaganda and mass mind control.

Fake News: CNN's Wolf Blitzer looks like a fool continually asking stupid "neo-nazi" questions to this guest

Wolf Blitzer Trump
Sean Spicer blasts Wolf Blitzer who cannot stop pushing the neo-nazi Trump idiocy: 'You've Asked Me Eight Times!'

Want to know why people do not trust the media and are sick of CNN...watch the video below.

CNN's Wolf Blitzer is literally stuck in his mind, or his teleprompter broke down.

Who knows what is going on, but Blitzer looks like a total fool and amateur, continually pressing the false narrative that Trump "is supported by alt-right neo-nazis."

Sean Spicer blasts Blitzer, and rightly so...
"You've asked me eight times, the same question! I've told you what his position is. That's not his focus! His focus is making this country better for all Americans, creating a better country, creating a better education system for all Americans, rebuilding our inner cities. That's what his focus is."

John Bolton: "EU is incapable of creating its own centralized military force"

The prospect of a real and operational EU army would have a poisonous effect on NATO, according to John Bolton, former US ambassador to the UN and current contender for the role of secretary of state.

"Over the course of the last 20 years, you've seen this idea [of a European army] appear over and over again," Bolton said during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily radio on Wednesday. He was commenting on the recent push by the EU Parliament to pave the way for a European Defense Union, or, more plainly, a standing EU army.

"If they actually got to the point of achieving [a true EU military capability] - that would be a dagger pointed at the heart of NATO," Bolton said.

The EU Parliament passed a non-binding resolution calling for the creation of a defense union on Tuesday, justifying the move by the threats it says the bloc is facing.

Peace in Colombia: Myth or Reality

Colombian flag
© UnknownThe final peace agreement between the Colombian government and the FARC rebels is planned to be signed today.
The previous attempt to conclude a peace agreement failed because of the results of the referendum, during which, with an advantage of 1%, supporters of the continuation of hostilities won.

The new text of the agreement has been altered according to their wishes. Some items have been tightened, in particular concerning the FARC's financing during the transition to the political field.

However, during the work on the contract, other information was also taken into consideration. For instance, the areas where military operations are not being waged mainly voted against the peace treaty, as well as Colombians who are in other countries, and the fact that the organization and financing of the "campaign" to vote "no" was carried out from abroad.

Two special forces officers and two militants were killed in southern Russia during an anti-terrorist operation carried out by Russian security forces in the city of Nazran. The search for other terrorists possibly linked to the group is ongoing.

A counter-terrorist raid took place in a residential area of Nazran in Russia's Republic of Ingushetia, where special forces from the Federal Security Service (FSB) surrounded a residential building in which the suspected terrorists had a hide-out, Russia's National Anti-Terrorist Committee (NAC) reported on Thursday. Civilians from nearby houses were evacuated and the militants were given the chance to surrender, but decided to open fire on the special forces instead. Two FSB officers were killed in the firefight.

Two militants, who were part of a larger group suspected of committing terrorism-related crimes in Russia's Northern Caucasus, were also killed in the operation, NAC said, adding that a search for others with possible links to the group is underway. A stash of weapons and ammunition were found at the scene, as well as explosives and an Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) flag.

"Two explosive devices equivalent to 20 kilograms of TNT, five TNT blocks, four Kalashnikov machine guns, more than 1,500 of various bullets, as well as a flag with IS terrorist group symbols were discovered," NAC told Interfax news agency.

Last week, the FSB reported that it had eliminated a terrorist group associated with Islamic State, which was believed to have been preparing to carry out terrorist attacks in Moscow and Ingushetia. The group was created by an IS emissary who was killed during a special operation in the republic in early October, the FSB said.

Russians exhibiting more favorable attitude to the US

russian news clip
© NBC News
In recent months the average Russian has begun to think more favorably about the United States, with over half the participants in the latest polls saying they expect President-elect Donald Trump to further improve relations between the two nations.

According to a report by Russia's Levada independent public opinion center, the share of Russians who describe their attitude to the USA as 'good' is now at 28 percent. In September, this proportion was 23 percent, and in May it was 19 percent.

Still, 56 percent of respondents told researchers that their attitude to the United States was 'bad', compared to 64 and 70 percent in September and May this year respectively. However, 54 percent also said they expected Russia-US relations to improve during Trump's presidency. Only 2 percent said relations would further deteriorate and 27 percent said they expected no major changes.

Seventy-eight percent of respondents hold that the Americans' choice of president also affects the lives of Russians, while 16 percent think this is not the case.

In February last year, the negative attitude towards the US and EU among the Russian public was the highest in modern history, with 36 percent wanting their country to further distance itself from the West. The number of Russians who claimed their negative attitude to the United States was at 81 percent and the number of those who perceived the relations between the two nations as hostile was at 42 percent.

Back then, 40 percent of Russian citizens said they wanted the authorities to improve the relations with Western nations, but 36 percent maintained that Russia must further distance itself from the West.

EU Parliament: Calls to halt Turkey's EU membership talks over Erdogan's post-coup crackdown

FAC meeting
© EurActiv.comAmongst others, Federica Mogherini and Christos Stylianides in the European Parliament urge freezing Turkey membership talks.
Members of the European Union Parliament have voted in favor of calling for a temporary halt to EU membership talks with Turkey, due to Ankara's "disproportionate" reaction to July's failed coup. MEPs voted 479 to 37 in favor of the non-binding motion сalling on the European Commission and national governments to institute the largely symbolic freeze in negotiations with Ankara.

"The European Parliament ... strongly condemns the disproportionate repressive measures taken in Turkey since the failed military coup attempt in July," the motion read, according to Reuters. It added, however, that it remained committed to keeping Turkey "anchored" to the EU.

Lawmakers called for the measure earlier this week, citing concerns about human rights in Turkey. They said the country is led by an "autocrat" in the form of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is seeking to "destroy" the EU. MEPs urged any negotiations on Turkey's membership to be halted until Ankara makes a stronger effort to meet the bloc's demands. Turkey has repeatedly faced criticism from the EU for its record on human rights, democracy and freedom of the press, with these concerns having escalated over the last few months in the aftermath of the attempted coup in July.

Comment: Remarks from Erdogan, such as: the "failed coup was a 'gift from God' to reshape and purge the country," and aspiring to reinstate the death penalty, do not help his quest for EU membership. The EU is concerned that Erdogan is creating an authoritarian regime and delays in addressing this affects EU credibility. Allowing accession, without Turkish reform, is one sticky wicket. Not allowing accession, considering the refugee deal, is another.
