Pentagon Trained Syria's Al Qaeda "Rebels" in Use of Chemical Weapons

Al Qaeda
The Western media refutes their own lies.

Not only do they confirm that the Pentagon has been training the terrorists in the use of chemical weapons, they also acknowledge the existence of a not so secret "US-backed plan to launch a chemical weapon attack on Syria and blame it on Assad's regime"

London's Daily Mail in a 2013 article confirmed the existence of an Anglo-American project endorsed by the White House (with the assistance of Qatar) to wage a chemical weapons attack on Syria and place the blame of Bashar Al Assad.

The following Mail Online article was published and subsequently removed. Note the contradictory discourse: "Obama issued warning to Syrian president Bashar al Assad", "White House gave green light to chemical weapons attack".

The beginning of the end for the U.S. Empire

Those whom the gods wish to destroy they first make mad.
The Course of Empire

Before I get into the meat of this post, I want to revisit something I wrote back in January.

From the post, Very Powerful People in the U.S. Government Want War - This is Their Sales Pitch:
We need to understand that those who want this war will be absolutely relentless. The sales pitch will not end until they get exactly what they want. This is where all of us critical thinkers need to play a key role. We must be prepared to diligently analyze all unsubstantiated official claims, and push back against the war-mongers, because we know for certain the oligarch-owned corporate media won't. We must be prepared to inform our fellow citizens about what's happening so that we don't fall victim to a cheap sales pitch with devastating consequences. Unfortunately, we must also be prepared for a possible deep state false flag if the current sales tactic falls on deaf ears.

America cannot win a global war of such a scale if it is based on false pretenses and in the absence of exceedingly strong public support. This support does not exist. Will this serve as a necessary restraint against the masters of war and their devious plans? It's too early to tell, but I do know that if we are unnecessarily pushed into a global conflagration, it will not end well for us. If this is the road our twisted status quo insists on taking us down, let us never forget who they are and the self-serving motivations behind their actions.
Four months later, the deep state got exactly what it wanted. Trump's weaknesses have been identified and exploited, and he's successfully been manipulated into neocon foreign policy like George W. Bush and Barack Obama before him. I've spent much of the past several months warning about exactly what happened last night, but the die is now cast. There's no turning back from the path we're on.

And don't give me this garbage about Trump playing "4D chess." Trump's a brilliant salesman, and that's about it. There's nothing special or superior about Donald Trump intellectually, and he's one of the most unwise people to ever become President. There was a hope he meant what he said about non-interventionism during the campaign, but that hope should be entirely extinguished at this point. Trump is a very weak man desperately looking for praise from those he claims to hate.

US establishment breaks Trump's pledges in ten weeks — PM Medvedev

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has remarked that it took the machine of power in the United States just ten weeks to "break" President Donald Trump's election pledges.

"Right after his (Trump's) election I said that all will depend on how quickly the existing machine of power will break Trump's election pledges," Medvedev said on his page in a social network. "It needed ten weeks."

Steve Bannon is Trump's sacrificial lamb

Steve Bannon
© AP Photo/Evan VucciBannon's demotion coincided with Trump's total abandonment of his principles.
Steve Bannon's demotion and deletion from his seat observing meetings of the National Security Council, came a day prior to America's illegal bombing of Syria.

Bannon was well known for his conservative views which were deeply anti-establishment, anti-deep state, mildly pro-Russian and totally anti-Salifist and anti-Saudi.

The timing of Bannon's demotion and the missile strikes on Syria is unlikely to be coincidental. It is certainly symbolic.

The man who helped define the now dead Trump movement, was moved over whilst the neo-cons and deep state veterans remain.

Bannon has not spoken in public since the demotion, but reports have surfaced saying that he might quit the White House entirely because of the demotion.

As you know by now, President Trump ordered missile strikes on the Al Shayrat airfield in Syria Thursday night. Starting at 8:40 PM Eastern Daylight Time, the US guided-missile destroyers USS Ross and USS Porter launched a total of 59 Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles. This being the age of the internet, you can watch the missiles being launched (at a cost of $1.41 million a pop) in a series of YouTube videos kindly supplied by the Pentagon.

For his part, the teleprompter-in-chief handled his ceremonial role perfectly, intoning all the usual poliltical blather that we have come to expect from the Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama/Trump puppets. To wit: "Tonight, I ordered a targeted military strike blah de blah de blah vital national security interest of the United States da dee doo dee dum no dispute that Syria used banned chemical weapons etc., etc., I call on all civilized nations to join us yadda yadda." You get the gist. (But if you really must, you can watch the whole statement here.)

Neil Gorsuch confirmed as 9th SCOTUS judge

The US Senate has confirmed Neil Gorsuch as the ninth justice on the US Supreme Court. The vote comes after the majority Republicans changed the rules to abolish the filibuster for SCOTUS nominees, in order to overcome opposition from Democrats.

The federal judge from Colorado was nominated by President Donald Trump in February, to fill the seat vacated by last year's death of Justice Antonin Scalia.

Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) cast the decisive 51st vote in favor of the nomination. The final vote count was 54 in favor and 45 opposed.

Goldman Sachs, the Deep State and the takeover of the Trump administration

goldman sachs trump
The writing is on the wall and the message is not good. Trump will likely expand the war in Syria and increase tensions with Russia. The American empire is likely to implode under Trump's watch, as he once again betrays many of the people who voted for him.

Hillary or Trump, we'd be getting the same thing. We had no real choice, and empires don't reform. Prepare for impact.

- From yesterday's post: The Imperial War Machine Marches Forward Under Donald Trump

The takeover of the Trump administration by Goldman Sachs has been obvious for months now. The takeover by the deep state has taken a bit longer, hence the non-stop Russia hysteria, which was clearly intended to back him into a corner. If Trump takes military action against Syria, we'll know for certain the deep state coup is complete.

Fortunately, some Trump supporters are starting to wake up, with former lead investigative reporter for Breitbart, Lee Stranahan, being one of them. Lee recently recorded an extremely important video message, and I ask all of you to listen to it in full and share. He knocks the ball out of the park, and while I was never a Trump supporter since I felt he would act precisely like he's acting, I applaud Trump voters willing to admit betrayal.

Assad 180: Is Trump no better than Hillary Clinton in Syria?

Clintrump
© WSJ Graphics
Remarkably, it only took weeks before the US started to talk about the possibility of war with Syria although it's still too early to see if the bombing of Assad's military bases is the thin end of the wedge or merely a pot shot.

Barely has the ink had time to dry on the newsprint which condemned Syria's president as the culprit behind the chemical attack in Idlib. With the Western media bereft of any hard evidence, we appear to be seeing a change in Donald Trump's candor and perhaps perspective toward Assad with the US strike on a military base. The attack for many signals a sea change - from Obama's previous 'Assad must go' mantra - which was eclipsed by Trump's more pragmatic approach to the Syrian conflict.

This is the problem of Western media bias over not only Syria. No Western journalists are pointing out the irony and audacity of Trump, who is appalled by the chemical attack, but not affected by the hundreds of civilians being buried alive in Mosul by US bombing. Or, for that matter, the brazen double standards of America and its brain-washed media which refuses to explain to the public that US forces have used white phosphorus in Syria when hitting ISIS.

Comment: The lines of distinction are being blurred. The question is why.

US cyber attacks - are they bringing N. Korean missiles down?

thumbprint NKorea
© The DiplomatThe key to failure.
Experts are suggesting the in-flight failure and crash of the missile launched by North Korea on Wednesday could have been the result of a "left-of-launch" attack by the United States.

Wednesday's missile has been identified as a liquid fuel, extended-range Scud and was launched shortly after dawn from near the city of Sinpo, on the east coast of the Korean Peninsula. US Pacific Command estimates that the weapon flew for a maximum of nine minutes and travelled less than 40 miles before spinning out of control into the Sea of Japan.

North Korea's missile programme has a high rate of failure with another medium-range weapon failing during flight earlier in March. In early 2016, a Musudan missile fired to mark the anniversary of the birth of Kim Il-sung, the founder of the nation, blew up immediately after launch and damaged its mobile tractor-erector-launcher unit. In November 2015, the North's attempt to launch a ballistic missile from a submarine ended in failure, with the weapon breaking up underwater and failing to breach the surface.

And while these failures - and others - may have been the result of poor engineering on the part of the North Koreans, they may also have been deliberately brought down by the US, experts have told The Telegraph.

Comment: True or not, the 'left of launch' scenario sounds both sneaky and plausible. It would explain the high failure rates of malfunctions, untraceable to the point of origin. Could it be a US 'insurance policy' exclusive to NK? Or are there other missile programs scratching heads over undetermined failures from external causes of industrial sabotage? It's just speculation for now.

About face: NYT retreats on 2013 Syria-Sarin chemical attacks

Syria Sarin gas
© Occupy Corporatism
Even as The New York Times leads the charge against the Syrian government for this week's alleged chemical attack, it is quietly retreating on its earlier certainty about the 2013 Syria-sarin case. The New York Times, which has never heard an allegation against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad that it hasn't immediately believed, has compiled a list of his alleged atrocities with a surprising omission: the Aug. 21, 2013 sarin gas attack outside Damascus.

Why this omission is so surprising is that the sarin incident was the moment when the Western media and the Washington establishment piled on President Barack Obama for not enforcing his "red line" by launching military strikes against the Syrian government to retaliate for Assad "gassing his own people."

The retaliation, which would have pummeled the Syrian military, was hotly desired by neoconservatives and liberal interventionists who were obsessed with achieving another Mideast "regime change" even if that risked turning Syria over to Al Qaeda and/or the Islamic State. The story of Obama's supposed "red line" retreat has become a treasured groupthink of all the "important people" in D.C.

So, for the Times to compile a summary of alleged Assad atrocities, which included a separate section on "chemical attacks," and to leave out the August 2013 case suggests that even The New York Times cannot sustain one of the most beloved myths of the Syrian war, that Assad was at fault for the sarin attack.

Comment: What isn't quite clear is why the NYT has suddenly altered its reporting with omission of its prior 'convictions.' Omission doesn't self-correct former media propaganda, nor does it change the damage it originally effected.
