Trump's former backers jump ship in disgust after Syria airstrike: 'Another Neo-Con puppet'

Once-dedicated passengers are now disembarking the 'Trump Train' following his administration's actions against Syria. Previous supporters including Paul Joseph Watson and Laura Ingraham made public their opposition to the US president's missile strike.

Infowars Editor-At-Large Watson tweeted that Donald Trump "wasn't 'Putin's puppet' after all," describing him as "another deep state/Neo-Con puppet." Watson said he would be turning his efforts instead to French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen.

Syria in the crosshairs: Trump betrays Trumpism

trump
President Donald Trump has launched an attack on a Syrian air base in retaliation for the alleged sarin gas attack supposedly carried out by Bashar al-Assad's government on Islamist rebels in Idlib. The irony is this contradicts every statement he ever made about Syria in the presidential campaign. Furthermore, this attack takes place barely 72 hours after the alleged incident, with no clear evidence that Assad was responsible.

In ordering this strike - more than 50 missiles launched by US ships in the Mediterranean Sea - Trump has blown up a basic tenet of Trumpism to smithereens.

One of my vivid memories of the 2016 campaign is the look on Bill O'Reilly's face when Donald Trump answered his question about intervening militarily in Syria and the Russian role in that country:

The escalating war against Assad and Syria and the need for international law

Syria chemical attack
On Tuesday 4 April there were reports of children and other civilians killed by chemical poisoning in the town of Khan Sheikhoun, Syria. There were contradictory reports, some saying they smelled the gas; others claiming it caused immediate death like odorless sarin.

On Wednesday 5 April, President Trump blamed the Syrian government despite conflicting reports and contradictory information and accusations. He said, "Yesterday's chemical attack in Syria [was] against innocent people including women, small children and even beautiful little babies. Their deaths was an affront to humanity. These heinous actions by the Assad regime cannot be tolerated ... my attitude toward Syria and Assad has changed very much."

On Thursday, 6 April, Trump ordered a 'targeted military strike' on Syria with 50 tomahawk missiles attacking the a primary Syrian air base near Homs. This base is used to support the combat with ISIS in eastern Syria and Nusra / Al Qaeda in Idlib province.

Washington has presented "no evidence whatsoever" yet that the Shayrat airfield in Syria's Homs Province targeted by the US after an alleged chemical attack in Idlib had any such weapons, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"Twenty-four hours have passed since the US Navy warships launched a massive missile strike at the Shayrat airfield, and neither the Pentagon nor the State Department have provided any evidence of presence of chemical weapons at this airbase," the ministry spokesman, Major-General Igor Konashenkov, said in a statement on Saturday.

Hysteria!: US launches probe into whether Russia took part in 'chemical attack' in Syria

The US has reportedly begun an investigation into whether Russia is linked to the suspected chemical attack in Syria's Idlib, which Washington claims was carried out by Damascus. It comes after Russia condemned the US strike on a Syrian air base, which killed up to 15 people.

An unidentified drone, allegedly Russian or Syrian, has been spotted over a rebel-held town in Idlib province after the Tuesday incident Khan Sheikhoun, AP cited US military officials as saying on Friday.

The AP report comes amid an array of reactions to the early Friday Tomahawk cruise missile strike on the Syrian army's Shayrat airfield near Homs, which US President Donald Trump said he ordered after Damascus "used banned chemical weapons."

Complaint in 9/11 suit reveals comprehensive case against Saudi Arabia

Attorneys for 9/11 families, survivors and insurers recently submitted an updated legal complaint in their suit against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is moving forward with strengthened momentum thanks to the September 2016 enactment of the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA) and new evidence that has emerged over the past year.

The document, which can be read here, spans hundreds of pages. Its length is driven by two factors:
  • The large number of plaintiffs who are listed—a stark reminder of just how many individuals and families directly felt the impact of the September 11 attacks.
  • The breadth and depth of the plaintiffs' case that Saudi government officials and employees, along with charities acting as the kingdom's alter egos, provided funding and material support that enabled al Qaeda to carry out its plot to attack New York and Washington.
The plaintiffs' case was bolstered by the July 2016 declassification of 28 pages from a joint congressional intelligence inquiry into 9/11.

U.S. missile strike on Syria: 'Psychopathic knee-jerk reaction' and Western media is 'whooping for joy'

On the eve of the Brussels conference we see this alleged chemical attack, and we see this absolute psychopathic knee-jerk reaction to this alleged attack, says Vanessa Beeley, independent researcher and journalist who has traveled to Syria on numerous occasions.

On Friday morning, two US destroyers stationed in the Mediterranean Sea launched 59 Tomahawk missiles at Syria's Shayrat airbase, The Pentagon claims they destroyed 20 Syrian warplanes, while according to the governor of Homs province 14 people were killed in the incident.

Russia's Defense Ministry says a storage depot, a training facility, a canteen, six aircraft and a radar station were destroyed. Moscow described the strike as 'aggression against a sovereign state' and warned of grave consequences for the Middle East.

Syrian officials said the attack was not a surprise and will only play into the hands of terrorist groups.

The UN Security Council held an emergency meeting on the US missile strike which saw a clash between the American and Russian envoys.

Boris Johnson cancelled April 10 visit to Moscow due to events in Syria

British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson has cancelled his planned trip to Moscow hours before he was supposed to depart, citing the recent events in Syria. The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman described the cancellation as "absurd."

"Developments in Syria have changed the situation fundamentally," Johnson said in a statement.

The decision not to go to Russia was made after consulting with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, and instead Johnson will meet with his fellow G7 counterparts to talk about Russia's support for Syrian President Bashar Assad.

"I discussed these plans in detail with [US] Secretary Tillerson. He will visit Moscow as planned and, following the G7 meeting, will be able to deliver that clear and co-ordinated message to the Russians."

Comment: The UK and US's idea of diplomacy is not dialog and trying to work out differences, contrary to their Russian counterparts, it's BOMB BOMB BOMB!

Trump has surrendered. Will Putin be next?

Update: Washington has reopened the conflict with a Tomahawk missile attack on Syrian Air Force Bases. The Russian/Syrian air defense systems did not prevent the attack.

The Washington Establishment has reasserted control. First Flynn and now Bannon. All that are left in the Trump administration are the Zionists and the crazed generals who want war with Russia, China, Iran, Syria, and North Korea.

There is no one in the White House to stop them.

Kiss good-bye normalized relations with Russia.

The Syrian conflict is set to be reopened. That is the point of the chemical attack blamed by Washington on Syria despite the absence of any evidence. It is completely obvious that the chemical attack is a Washington orchestrated event. According to reports US Secretary of State Tillerson has warned Russia that steps are underway to remove Syrian president Assad. Trump agrees.

Disregarding barbaric lessons of Iraq War, Trump launches attack on Syria based on lies

Donald Trump pledged to take a different approach to Syria than his contender, Hillary Clinton. Yet following a chemical attack on a Syrian town, the US commander-in-chief didn't wait for an investigation, opting for bombing Syria's military instead.

On Friday, the world awoke to the bracing news that the US had opened a cruise missile attack on a Syrian Army base in Homs, killing at least five Syrian military personnel. What makes this news so deeply disturbing is that Washington, once again, has ignored Congress and declared itself judge, jury and executioner when dealing with an international crisis. Emperor, if you will.

It also saw the Trump administration give the benefit of the doubt over a whodunit event to the very individuals known to be affiliated with al-Qaeda and Islamic State. Perhaps Trump should consider writing a new book and call it, "The Art of the Royal Screw-up"?

Does Empire require evidence?

Before any investigation into Tuesday's chemical attack in Idlib Province had begun, Nikki Haley, US ambassador to the United Nations, did something truly remarkable. Holding up photographs of the deceased Syrian children killed during the chemical attack, Haley - without a shred of evidence to support her claim - passed judgment as to who was to blame.
