Former assistant director of FBI says Comey firing justified - 'threw the reputation of the FBI under the bus'

The former assistant director of the FBI tells Breitbart News that President Donald Trump fired bureau director James Comey for legitimate reasons.

"He was fired for cause in my view," James Kallstrom informs Breitbart News. "When the referral came to the bureau close to a year ago, Comey knew at that point, if not soon after, that the Justice Department had no interest in conducting a criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton. They would never approve a grand jury and they would never approve an indictment."

Kallstrom faults Comey for presiding over a "sham" investigation of Clinton. From granting unnecessary immunity deals to conducting an interview of Clinton not under oath to too slickly issuing a document dump the day after the Fourth of July, the FBI deviated from standard-operating procedure during the investigation of the former secretary of state's reliance on private servers to send and receive classified material, Kalstrom says.

"He did something the FBI never does," the former head of the FBI's New York office points out of Comey. "It never discloses the charges against an unindicted person—ever."

Former four-term Governor of Tokyo Shintaro Ishihara, known for his controversial statements, claimed in an interview with a Japanese tabloid that the Obama administration ordered his assassination.

Speaking to politician Shizuka Kamei for Shukan Post magazine, Shintaro Ishihara wondered why the US does not assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

"Why doesn't America just assassinate Kim Jong-un already?" Ishihara said, as translated by Tokyo reporter. "I mean, they killed Gaddafi and Bin Laden... Assassinations are their specialty.

"When Tokyo was trying to purchase the Senkaku Islands, Obama told the CIA: 'Use Chinese people in Japan and kill Ishihara by making it look like a traffic accident,'" Ishihara continued. He did not provide any evidence to support the claim.

The peaceful coexistence of Palestine and Israel is a guarantee for security and stability in the Middle East, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday.

"I emphasize that the peaceful coexistence of the two states, Palestine and Israel, is an indispensable condition for ensuring the level of security and stability in this region," Putin told reporters after talks with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi.

Russia and Palestine are continuing their efforts to tackle the Palestine-Israeli conflict, Putin said, adding that relations with Palestine are particularly important for his nation.

"Our relations with Palestine are special and of particular significance for us... We have been working for years on one of the key problems of today's world, namely, resolving the Middle Eastern problem," the Russian president said.

Major media organizing to rig web-search results - claim they are 'protecting the public'

media censorship
The New York Times, as Robert Parry has pointed out, Cheers the Rise of Censorship, but only of censorship of any allegations that expose the fraudulence of the NYT's allegations. The Washington Post, Google, the TV networks, and practically all of the famous providers of 'news', have joined forces in order to block from the internet any statements that contradict, or especially any evidence that disproves, what they collectively define to be 'true'; and, while they do this, they add a lie, that their sole aim in doing this rigging of web-search results is to prevent 'misinformation' from polluting your mind. They use as an excuse the existence of some flagrantly fabricated reports on obscure websites, but if the mainstream press can ban reports such as those, then they can also ban real news reports, which expose the mainstream's own lies. In other words: they are implementing their collective power to block you from being able to know that they're systematically lying. Will the public trust them with this power?

Parry says that if this effort by them is allowed to proceed, then we shall be fully in the Brave New World, of 1984 — and, of course, he is correct in that, which means that everyone should unsubscribe and not pay a cent to all of the 'news' media that are trying to block the public from having access to evidence and allegations that contradict what these bullies in the 'news' media pump as being their mutually-agreed-upon 'truth'.

US firm is first to invest in Iranian oil since Islamic Revolution

A US-based filtration, separation, and purification solutions company Pall will invest in Iran's oil industry, according to an Iranian official, quoted by local news agencies. The investment, if confirmed, would be the first by an American firm since 1979.

Pall will transfer technology and invest in starting a production line for oil equipment in Iran, said Neda Mousavizadehgan, a member of the Society of Iranian Petroleum Industry Equipment Manufacturers (SIPIEM), as quoted by the IRNA news agency.

According to her, it would cut costs by providing the equipment for Iran's oil industry and would also enhance safety at petrochemical plants, which have seen a rise in hazardous technical failures recently.

Before sanctions were lifted in January 2016, vast amounts of money were overspent by Iran's oil industry importing non-standard equipment, Mousavizadehgan stressed.

Crude oil prices gained on Thursday as investors were buoyed by falling inventories in the United States and higher-than-expected supply cuts to Asia by Saudi Arabia.

Brent crude was up 57 cents, hovering at $50.79 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate jumped 61 cents to $47.94.

"We saw the biggest draw in [US] inventories for the year last week with stockpiles down more than five million barrels, and it looks like OPEC's production cut is finally biting," said Greg McKenna, chief market strategist at brokerage AxiTrader, as quoted by Reuters.

The CIA has created a dedicated unit to monitor Pyongyang's nuclear and ballistic missile programs amid reignited fears that North Korea's sixth nuke test is imminent, and claims that the agency was planning a biochem attack against Kim Jong-un.

"The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has established a Korea Mission Center to harness the full resources, capabilities, and authorities of the Agency in addressing the nuclear and ballistic missile threat posed by North Korea," the CIA said in a statement.

"The new Mission Center draws on experienced officers from across the Agency and integrates them in one entity to bring their expertise and creativity to bear against the North Korea target."

The agency has failed to specify where the center will be located, but the statement noted that a "veteran CIA operations officer" was selected to act as head of the center and as an Assistant Director for Korea.

The new unit, the CIA said, will work closely with the US intelligence community to monitor the North Korean threat.

"Those who act against the country's security will definitely receive a slap in the face," Khamenei said.

"The security of the country is very important; the security of the country should be fully protected during the elections," he said. "Anyone who violates this, should know he will certainly be punished!" Khamenei said, speaking at the graduation ceremony for Iran's Revolutionary Guard force on Wednesday.

According to local media, cited by AP, one of Rouhani's campaign offices in Tehran had its windows smashed, and another office was also previously targeted.

Afghanistan after US invasion: A drug heaven for Washington

Afghanistan drugs
Ever since 2001, when Washington decided to invade Afghanistan in the aftermath of 9/11 attacks, the US has been conducting military operations in the territory of this country. This war has already become the longest American conflict, beating even the Vietnam War which lasted from 1964 to 1975.

It's curious that this war has already become the most expensive or perhaps one of the most expensive conflicts in the history of the United States. According to a number of Pentagon reports, since the invasion of Afghanistan, the US government has spent nearly one trillion dollars on its attempts to eradicate terrorism and make Afghanistan free of drugs. This sum doesn't not include the sums that the CIA has been handing over to Afghan officials, while sponsoring such groups as the Taliban and Al-Qaeda and Haqqani - those very groups that are trying to kill as many US soldiers as they can in Afghanistan.
